Hello I’m an ARMY Veteran that witnessed a UFO while working security for the Special Forces. Sometime in 2004 we  seen this huge craft that hovered above us. It was so close I could have thrown a rock and hit it. It seemed like it came outta no where. It floated over one of the mountain’s from the south, east of the base we built. It made no noise and you could not see it with the naked eye. How we seen it was, threw night vision goggles. It looked like a light bulb but it was a sphere. You could almost see threw it, but it was glowing. It lite up the ground with its I.R. lights but you could not see this craft with out that night vision. When we seen this thing everybody stopped and was like amazed, are in awe as we observed this craft. It was hovering about 50-100 ft. in the air its speed was around 5-10 mph. Its was about 100 yards from the outside perimeter of our base camp the west side of our base. It hovered for about a mile north of us and our camp and as we was watching this craft our commander was inside the base camp about a 1/4 mile to the south/east of our position also seeing this craft and he got on the radio and announced to get back to work its nothing. The craft everyone’s looking at. I was a on the mark 19 we had it mounted on the back of a Humvee. My squad leader was in the passenger seat and a friend of mine was in the driver seat. We was pulling roaming security from one traffic control point to the other from the south of the base to the north of our base camp. AFTER our commander said get back to work we watched this craft for about 10 more mins before we had to turn around and head back north. The craft stopped about 1/4 mile northeast of our position and it stopped an a camp fire that these goat/cow hearder’s had made. The ufo shot out a beam at the hearders camp but we couldn’t see the base of the fire just the flickering of it on the backside of the mountain. We was cut off from seeing what they was doing with that beam of light. In the mean time my squad leader stopped watching and wanted to go back to work so the specialist turned the Humvee around and we started driving north to the north T.C.P. and I wanted to finish watching this craft but we lost sight of it when we left. A hill was blocking our view the same hill that was blocking the beam that we seen. After a min of driving north I seen that it took off from the hearders camp. It took off so fast at a 90 degree angle straight up into outter space. It seamed like the lights on the craft had a delayed reaction cause the craft took off so fast. Like its lights took a few sec’s to catch up to the craft. It left at an alarming rate it made dashes of light into the sky, never to be seen again. First time I told any one about this beside my family. This is just a brief description of what happened. Two Canadian witnesses traveling east along Highway 16 near Marlobo, Alberta, reported stopping and photographing an unknown object hovering above the tree tops about 400 feet away, according to April 29, 2014, testimony in Case 55866 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.  The two witnesses were returning home from work in Hinton and heading toward Edson when the incident occurred about 4 kilometers east of Marlobo about 1:45 a.m. on April 25, 2014.  “While driving I noticed on the north side of the highway green and red lights low within the tree line,” the reporting witness stated. “It was 1:45 a.m. and it was very dark. The trees are bare. No leaves as this is early spring here so I thought it was a low flying airplane as they carry the green and red lights. I thought I’d seen an airplane flying low on the horizon through the trees.”  “As I was getting closer I noticed these lights were not moving and they appeared bigger. It was nothing of significance to us as we thought it was perhaps some sort of tower. Finally we passed the small grove of trees and were able to have the direct visual on these lights. We saw red, green, blue-purple light blinking, sort of pulsating around quite fast. There was also a light at the bottom like a dome light rotating a beam of white-yellow light illuminating the ground and trees.”  “We got out of the truck to snap some photos with our cell phones. The truck was put on park, idling with radio playing – local Hinton music radio station. We were in front of that thing within 400 feet distance as it was just above the trees across the highway right in front of us. It was very dark and the lights it was projecting were very bright, sort of blinding us.”   “We tried to catch this object on the camera but you could not see it in the LCD display. I snapped two pictures without flash to see if I could capture something. As I was looking through the pictures my friend yelled that the object moved to the right abruptly.”   “I then thought that maybe that thing is projecting the lights – maybe I should use cell cam flash to signal a couple flashes as a form of communication. I got my phone again. I snapped once and nothing happened, but when I sent the next flash, that thing suddenly made a high pitch, two tones, sound lasting for maybe seven seconds. We got afraid a bit, so we jumped back in the truck and decided it was time to go.”   “What we noticed inside the cab was a static noise of the radio. Where we pulled over to investigate the object, we were listening to a Hinton music station. Now there was nothing but static noise. Upon that we realized we had just seen a UFO which interacted with the truck’s radio. Hi. My name is Andy I am a former US Navy AMS/Airdale and flyer. I was on a flight from my home in St Thomas USVI to Atlanta, Ga in December of 2013. I hadn’t flown in several years, and being excited to go home and see my family and friends, I was randomly taking video of the clouds and ground. Yeah I know …korny. Bear with me. I didnt’ realize until I got home from my vacation 10 days later and was watching all my videos and reviewing pics that I had captured something that I cannot explain. It is very large and seems to be moving from left to right in the top of the screen. It was at a great distance away…I’d say 20 miles out…and had to have been ‘miles’ across to be visible at that distance.  I have flown with the Navy and all over the US and Caribbean for many years. This is simply a huge object. I posted it on facebook to some close friends and several thought it was exceptional. The reason I am sending this to you is that I happened to see a show on H2 (UFO Hunters) today [episode original airing 02-04-09] and two different pilots (A British guy and a French) seemed to have seen the same thing I did. The difference is that his object seemed to emanate light while mine seems to be very black. After watching the video several times I also noticed a flat contrail from the top right of my video that appears to lead right to the object in the distance.

FEBURARY 1991   ……..   EL YUNQUE PUERTO RICO

Freddie, his wife and their young child were taking a drive around the rainforest area on Route 191. After cruising the area the road took a turn and the pair inadvertently took a detour deep into the forest. After a while they came up to a camouflaged gate deeper into the forest and after inspecting it they decided to drive through it. As they drove on the path in the woods they noticed that it was well lit by blue light bulbs on each side of the road. They drove through some hills for about 2 miles when the road abruptly ended. At it’s end there was a large metal gate and a building on the other side of it. At that moment two six-foot tall man-like figures appeared and ordered the pair to stop and asked who they were. The men wore tight-fitting black one-piece suits, resembling diver’s outfits, a wide black belt, black gloves, and large black boots with gold-colored metallic straps. They also wore large dark oval shaped helmets with dark visors. Their faces were not visible.  In eerie metallic-electronic sounding voices the strangers ordered the witnesses to step out of the car. The child remained sleeping in the back seat. One of the men took a long thin metallic tube with a mirror like tip and examined the vehicle. The figures asked the witnesses how they got there and then looked at the sleeping child inside. They then held a short conversation in a grave guttural language resembling German. One of the “men” then left the area and a blue pickup truck now arrived at the scene. Two men wearing blue coveralls were in the vehicle and spoke in Spanish to the witnesses, again asking them how they got there. The men then looked at the child and commented something in a low tone of voice to the strange figure in black that remained on the scene.At that moment Freddie noticed a glint of light coming from what appeared to be a rectangular shaped hollowed out area in the nearby wooded slope of a hill. There appeared to be several huge glass like doors and inside there was a disc shaped object, that was encircled in rectangular shaped windows and was 30 ft in diameter, it appeared metallic & aluminum in color. Thinking that he was seeing something he was not supposed to see, he quickly averted his gaze. The men did not appear to notice that Freddie had seen anything. The men in the blue pickup then ordered the couple and their child to follow them out of the area in their vehicle. SEPTEMBER 1975  ……..  STEVENS POINT WISCONSIN

The witness was watching the sky to the south of his mobile home when he saw a large saucer shaped craft slowly proceed down and just above the trees from east to west. He followed it with his eyes as it passed just before him about 100 ft away. It then settled silently in the corner of the next field about 1500 ft away. The witness walked over to where he saw it land…it was a clear, cool, moonlit night. He took no flashlight or camera and felt no fear. He easily found the craft as a very bright light shone from beneath it at the far southeast corner of the field.  As he approached about 20 ft from the craft he noticed an individual in the light from the bottom of the craft directly before him. The human-like figure appeared to have on a form fitting white suit. The eyes were covered in what appeared to be goggles or protective bubbles of tinted glass or plastic, he then noticed a second similar figure to his right only about 6 ft away. The witness was a bit startled, as he did not notice the approach of the figure. However his attention returned to the figure standing near the object by the light. This figure was busily attempting to catch a grasshopper; he held what appeared to be a glass sample container in his right hand and a stopper type lid in the other. He emitted a strange type of giggle as he finally caught the grasshopper. The figure in the trees rejoined this one carrying a sample jar as well. In it the witness could clearly see in the light that it contained a sprig from an oak tree with leaves and acorns attached. They were both about 5 ft tall and lean.  The witness then heard a sound of someone walking through the field of drying corn just to the south and behind him. It was a slow, steady type of walking sound, which someone would make walking on a field of dry grass. As it approached it stopped and then sped up as it walked around the witness. Into the light of the craft then appeared another figure in the same type of suit. He also carried a sample jar. The jars were about 4 inches around and about 15 inches tall with wide mouths and black stopper caps. In this jar he had an ear of the corn. The third arrival hastily pointed out the witness to the other two as they all looked directly at him. He could only smile and wave, and then turn slowly and walk back to his home. The craft hovered silently about 4 ft off the ground. Nothing protruded from it except the bright light from an opening in the bottom. The opening was about 4 ft in width. He could see no stairs leading up to the opening. The witness did not see the object depart.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

WINTER OF 1998 / 1999   ………    LAKE GENEVA WISCONSIN

In roughly the winter of 1998/1999, I was driving out of Lake Geneva, WI on HWY 50 (if I recall, that is the name of the main road out of town towards Kenosha) when I noticed a long ship, that was a straight line with a bright white light on each end and one in the middle. I didn’t think much of it at first, although I did continue looking at it because it didn’t resemble a plane in shape (a straight line like a cigar or something) and the lights looked different. I began to really pay attention when I turned off HWY 50 onto the side road that lead to my subdivision (I can’t recall the county road but it leads to Tuscany-the subdivision I was living in at the time). The craft was originally headed parallel to the highway traveling in the direction towards Kenosha and away from Lake Geneva as I was, but when I turned 90 degrees onto the side road, the craft changed direction 90 degrees as well. I took note because aircraft don’t turn 90 degrees like that. The aircraft seemed to follow me change in direction, and to be descending to lower altitudes and getting closer. I remember slowing down to basically a crawl in my vehicle to watch the craft, and as crazy as this may sound, the next thing I remember is coming to standing outside my car, behind the rear bumper, driver’s side door was open, no recollection of getting out of the car, and now the large ship I had seen before is gone and there is a much smaller triangle sized ship hovering maybe 20 feet at most over the road and maybe 20 feet away horizontally. It was completely silent, a white light on each corner of the triangle and an orange or yellow light (it’s been 16 years-hard to remember everything). I freaked out and jumped in my car and took up as fast as I could. Looking back in my rear and side view mirrors, the triangle craft was gone, but the large cigar type crafted I had previously viewed (but that was nowhere in sight while i observed the triangle craft) was on back up in the sky and was again traveling parallel to my car. I make another 90 turn into my subdivision of the side road and the craft did so as well. I made another 90 degree turn off the first road in my subdivision onto the second one (the one on which i lived-sienna circle) and again the craft changed direction with me. I ran into side as fast as I could. Upon entering the house, i looked out every window i could in each direction and saw neither ship. I proceeded to write down the entire event and (eventually) fell asleep. The next morning my girlfriend stopped by before school as she typically did and as soon as i woke up I excitedly started to tell her of the previous nights event. She told me to calm down and that I had been dreaming-reminding me I just woke up. I told her I wasn’t dreaming it-to look on my dresser where I had written it all down. That was that until maybe 6 months later I was in Kenosha at a friends house. He was late returning and I began to worry about him and was looking out his back door towards the main road anxiously awaiting his return. That is when I noticed a small triangle craft (exactly like the one i saw before) hovering maybe 20 feet off the ground, not making a sound, and coming slowly-very slowly-towards the house. It flew across the back yard straight towards me and I called the other woman there who was there to come look and she too saw it in amazement. We watched it for a few minutes as it slowly approached the house, flew over it barely over the rooftop and proceeded across the street. Upon being direction above the house across the street, it changed direction 90 degrees and slowly hovered over all the houses on the opposite side of the street until it was out of sight. I kept this mostly to myself for the last 16 years because (a) I have no proof and (b) most people don’t believe you or don’t care. After seeing report after report and pic after pic of similar triangle ships, I figured I’d go ahead report mine too for whatever it’s worth.   NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

AN UNIDENTIFIED flying object (UFO) was spotted by several people in the skies above Portreath last night.  The mystery object, which has been described as “quite large” and “triangular”, was spotted around 11 pm by households in the Porthreath and Helston areas.  Now founder of the Cornwall UFO Research Group (Cuforg), Dave Gillham, is appealing for witnesses to come forward to shed some light on the unexplained aircraft.  Mr Gillham said: “I like to log these things to find out what they are.  “Apparently there were quite a few people who saw the sighting last night.  “It’s nice to hear from people who have seen sightings and most people do appreciate someone who is interested in it as when they tell people who are not interested they tend to get ridiculed and they become reluctant to talk about sightings.”  The Cuforg founder was one of five people currently known to have seen the UFO.  Mr Gillham said: ““It had a lot of white lights at the front but none that I could see at the back.  “It came from the Porthreath area and very slowly and quieter than a helicopter or plane [and] headed towards Helston.  “It was definitely not a helicopter or plane.  “It was quite clearly visible to the naked eye but not on my camera phone.”  One witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, had an eerie experience after attempting to capture the UFO on her camera phone.  She said: “It was an odd shape, very bright and quieter than normal. It was not an aeroplane or helicopter, I videoed it, watched it [and] went inside and next morning it was gone from my phone. Just a mass of bright light.”  Mr Gillham is keeping an open mind about the UFO and has admitted that it was seen on a flight path to the RNAS Culdrose naval base. JULY 10, 1947   ………….    MORRISTOWN NEW JERSEY

On the morning of July 10, 1947, Mr. John H. Janssen, editor of the Daily Record (an American aviation journal) was flying his own plane from Morristown Airport in New Jersey.  He spotted six, luminous spherical craft with hazy rings around them flying in a trail high in the sky above him. He grabbed his camera and shot a picture. He was only able to get four of the six objects in the image frame.  Two weeks later, on July 23rd, he had another encounter of what looked to him like the same or very similar aircraft. He was again flying his airplane out of Morristown and was at 6,000ft.  “While my eyes played over the horizon, I became aware of a shaft of light that seemed like that of a photographer’s flash bulb. It came from aloft, very high up. It was above that position over my plane’s nose that flier’s call 11 O’clock.  At first I thought it was merely the reflected sun bouncing off the sides of an exceedingly high flying aircraft. I gave it no more thought. But then the engine of my own plane began to perform peculiarly. It coughed and sputtered spasmodically.  So I pulled on the carburetor heat and gave it full throttle hoping to thaw any ice that might be accumulating in the carburetor. The engine emitted one final wheezing cough and then quit. Now, the nose of my plane, instead of dropping to a normal glide, remained… rigid… fixed on the horizon, in its normal level flight attitude.  Abruptly, I became aware that my plane was now defying the basic law of gravity. I became frightened and close to panic at so weird a predicament. I saw that the airspeed indicator was at zero! There was now an odd prickling, electric-like sensation coursing through my body.  I had an eerie feeling that I was being watched and examined by something that minutely studied my features, my clothing, and my airplane… I flicked a cold bead of perspiration from my eye. Then I saw it! Above and slightly beyond my left wing tip was a strange wraith-like craft, one of the flying objects! Its flanged and protecting rim was dotted on either side with steamer-like portholes.  It seemed to radiate a dull metallic hue that conveyed an impression of natural strength, and a super-intelligence not of this planet. It was motionless. Perhaps a quarter of a mile away… beyond, and slightly higher, I could see another (similar) object, seemingly fixed in the sky. I assumed that the second strange ship was but waiting for the one nearest me to complete its examination. Then I had the most unaccountable urge to reach up and snap on the magneto switch. I had turned it off when the engine quit. I switched both magnetos to the on position.  Slowly the propeller began to turn… then the engine burst into a steady rhythmic roar. The plane nosed up into a stall, dropped off, picked up airspeed and steadied under control,” recalled Mr. Janssen.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

3:15pm.  I was finishing up my jog at the local park here in Donora, PA. I noticed slightly to the left of my position above the treetops on the hill was a HUGE black rectangle object moving slowly over the treetops. Moving right to left. It had a very “boxy” look to it, sharp defined edges. This thing was very far away, about 1-2 miles. The park I was at is way up on a hill so that’s how I was able to see it so far away. This object did not reflect the daytime sun. I saw no lights on it or windows. It was far away so all I can say is what I saw from the distance of where I was. The object did appear to change shape, going from a large solid rectangle to a thinner but just as long rectangle. It was just cruising along very slowly above the treetops and even hovered a few times. It was 2-3 times the size of the Goodyear blimp I’d say for as big as it appeared for as far away as I knew it was. It was really close, touching the treetops practically. I did not have my phone to take a photo. I was still a ways form my car where my phone was so i tried to jog to my car as fast as I could being already out of breath. There were some other people there at the park. I knew I needed to get other people to confirm this sighting. There were two women sitting watching their kids play on the playground. I was still some walking distance from them so I kept my eye on this object while I made my way over to them. At this point the object has crossed over a gap between the large hillsides to continue its course over the next hillside and treetops. This object I swear changed shape a few times. Getting thinner then real big again. Always maintaining the rectangle shape and dull black color. Also it appeared to move sideways, backing up away from my position, then back towards me again.

A large triangular shaped object was observed by two well qualified witnesses. One was an aircraft technician in the Army with a military intelligence background and the other was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force. They both had 38 years experience.  On November 19th 2013 at 6:20 pm they both observed a huge triangular flying object that flew about 500 ft above them moving roughly from North to South. It was past dusk and was a fairly clear night.  They both said that the object had a wing span larger than a C-5A cargo plane. The object flew slowly at 10 – 15 knots (12-17 mph) and silently with no noise. The rear of the object displayed a row of white pulsing lights. As it moved away a very small drone like object was noticed flying alongside on the left.  When the object got further out it banked to the Southeast allowing them to see clearly the triangular shape of the object.  The slow speed allowed the witnesses to examine the object closely. The words of one of the witnesses best describes what they saw: “I could almost make out what appeared to be seams in the material, but it was not shiny; more dull and like carbon fiber. The leading edge was rounded and there was no tail to say, (in today’s aircraft everything has a vertical stabilizer with a stabilizer or ailerons. Sort of like a big T. You know what I mean and the anti-collision lights go on top bottom and left and right.)”  “I walked under it trying to make out markings, but it was just blending in with the sky so good the only way to tell the outline was that it was blocking out the stars and what few clouds where there. The ends had a reddish/pink glow but not strobes or rotating beacons.  “I could not make out a cockpit. It turned to the south east towards Moody Air Force Base as if it was in a pattern but way too low. As it did this I could see the back of it. This is why I say it looked like a big wing. The light on the back were from left to right, and white, not strobes, but pulsing.  “Dave said that’s a tight formation; then as it banked he said John that’s one single object.   I was on the grocery store parking lot placing my groceries in the trunk. I heard a fighter plane type sound approaching us but didn’t see anything. About 3 seconds later I see a fighter plane coming from the west heading northeast. The fighter plane was traveling very low and very slow. If I had to guess I would say 2,000 feet in altitude. I told my son and my friend “look it’s a fighter plane”. We watched it for about 8 seconds as it flied by directly above us. Then a large gray object approached the fighter plane from the rear at a very fast speed. The object had no navigation lights like the fighter jet had. It only had 4 very dim bar lights between the main body and the wings. I thought it was going to crash into the fighter plane. It slowed down suddenly about 3 plane lengths away behind the fighter plane. It followed the plane for about 5 seconds. Then the object gained speed, made a hard right, and then a hard left, cutting off the fighter plane.  The object could be seen more clearly when it turned because it banked left. Then you could tell that the object was shaped like a stingray without a tail. It was gray and about 12 times larger than the fighter plane. 4 dim bar lights on each side where the wings joined the main body. The wings were not fixed. The wings rippled at opposite rhythm like a stingray. The object took off heading northwest very fast. The fighter plane gained speed and continued northeast. 2 seconds later another fighter plane coming from the west followed the path as the first plane but traveled at a faster speed.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

It was the later months of 1973, the Christmas shopping season is in full swing. A very pregnant Carol and her sister Louise decided to drive from Amsterdam to Schenectady to do some Christmas shopping. So with Carol’s toddler son in tow, the three of them were off to go holiday shopping at the Mohawk Mall.  As it was late in the year and it was already dark before the two women reached Schenectady. As they approached the city they were astounded to see a large object flying at low altitude coming from the West. The large object seemed to slow, then suddenly dropped at high speed and hovered over the General Electric plant.  As it did all the lights in the factory dimmed and went out. Both women noted that this power outage seemed to only be at the General Electric facility, for they could see other city lights on in the distance.  Both women recall that the traffic on the main highway in front of the General Electric building had come to a halt. Carol remembers that people were getting out of their cars and seemed to be awestruck at what they were watching. Both Carol and Louise estimate that they were perhaps 100 yards from the GE facility.  Louise described what they saw: it was a saucer shaped object, perhaps two or three football fields in diameter. As you got a little closer, you could see blue, pink and yellow lights that seem to be alternating in rotation around the bottom of the craft. The top of the object was dull grey.  Then both women tell us that almost everyone noticed that the flying saucer was totally silent.  Carol made an interesting observation that while the lights in the GE facility went out with the appearance of this flying saucer, the car on the local highway did not seem to be affected.  The craft hovered over the GE facility for about five, perhaps ten minutes, at which time the rotating lights all turned to a soft yellow color, then the craft began to rise straight up then headed West at low altitude away from Schenectady. After the flying object was clear of the GE facility the power abruptly returned and again the building was full of light.  Out on the shoulders of the highway the people who had just observed this amazing phenomenon all had the same interesting remark, “Did this just happen? Was it real?”  Both women remember that there was some news coverage. Back in the car, they could hear lots of people calling the local radio stations asking what it was that they all saw.  Oddly the TV news stations seemed satisfied to report only the local military base’s explanation, which amounted to nothing special happened. They also say, that in the following days the press coverage, radio and television reports all said the event was simply some Air Force maneuvers.  Carol’s now adult son remarked, “That it seems odd that after all these years and with all of people who stopped in front of the GE building that night and witnessed this amazing event… that there hasn’t been more personal accounts reported in UFO databases and stories on the Internet.”  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

JANUARY 20 1988     ……      NULLARBOR PLAIN AUSTRALIA

January 20 1988 was the day that the Knowles family and their two dogs had an unexplainable experience whilst travelling across the Nullarbor Plain in the early hours of the morning.  At about 4.00am, Faye Knowles and her sons Patrick, 24, Sean, 21, and Wayne 18 were between Madura and Mundrabilla with Sean driving and Patrick next to him in the front seat when a bright light was seen ahead of them. Sean thought the light strange and asked his brother if he thought it was a spaceship. This idea was rejected by his brother, but Sean’s interest was piqued and he sped the car up in order to catch up to the object and get a closer look. At about 20 metres from the object the family say they were confronted with a white blinding light that moved along in front of their moving vehicle. It was about 1 metre wide and described as a slightly angular egg in an egg-cup shape with a yellow centre. The object, which at first appeared to be either on the ground or immediately above it then began to move back and forth. Sean swerved the car to the opposite side of the road to avoid a collision with the object, but then nearly collided with a station wagon towing a caravan coming in the other direction. (The occupants of this second car have never come forward) The object then circled around to the right side of their car and appeared to give chase to the second vehicle towing the caravan. The Knowles made at 2 u-turns at this point, the first to give chase to the object, and the second to abandon this idea as they had grown frightened. They had at this point gained the idea that the object was after them.  At some point the family felt that the UFO had returned and had landed on their vehicle. They heard a clunking sound and felt that the car was being pushed down by a weight that rested on top of it.  By now the family was understandably frightened, and the following events are difficult to unravel in retrospect. The family believed that the car was lifted above the road, though none of them were able to estimate for how long or how high. Mrs Knowles wound down a rear window and reached for the roof. She felt something soft and rubbery that was hot but did not burn her hand, and when she brought her hand back into the car she found it covered in a blackish dust. This event caused a panic in the rest of the family. Patrick wound down his  Window, only to be covered in the fine dust, which was accompanied by a foul smell that was likened to dead bodies. A high-pitched sound was then heard, which sent the dogs into a frenzy. The family became disoriented and felt that their voices had become slower, and lower in pitch. They believed at this point that they were going to die. Patrick said that he felt that his ‘brain was being sucked out’, and Mrs Knowles likened it to having something ‘going into our heads’.

A while later, the family felt the car forced back down onto the road, bursting the rear right tyre. Sean brought the car to a sudden stop and then blacked out. The family left the car hurriedly and hid in some bushes by the side of the road. They remained there for 15 minutes before changing the tyre and continuing on to the nearest town.  Unknown to the Knowles’, a truck driver, Mr Graham Henley also saw, at the same time and in the same area, a strange light in his rear view mirror. He described as being like a strong spotlight and like a ‘big fried egg hung upside down”. He kept the object in view for 5 minutes and did not see any car headlights beneath it. Shortly after Henley pulled into Mundrabilla, he saw the Knowles’ car arrive, and was confronted by the frightened family all trying to describe their experience. He looked over their car and confirmed the presence of black ash in various areas, both inside and on the exterior of the vehicle, and likened it to fine silicon sand with a burnt odour to it. He also noted four indents in the roof of the car and the damaged tyre. Henley and two of his friends also surveyed the scene of the incident, finding skid marks, footprints and tread tracks that they felt confirmed the Knowles account of their incident.  The family had by this time arrived at Ceduna and been interviewed by the police there, who confirmed that the family were visibly shaken. They also reconfirmed the presence of the four dents and the fine dust. UFO Research South Australia was contacted and arrangements were made for the Knowles’ to continue to Adelaide for further investigation. Keith Basterfield was at this stage brought into the investigation, and he stated that it “appeared to be an extraordinary example of a close encounter that had left physical traces.” However, owing to the story reaching the media, serious investigation became obstructed by chequebook journalism, with investigators needing to mediate with a television station to be able to talk to the Knowles’. The TV station did, however, commission a laboratory investigation of the vehicle, which concluded that ‘no significant dust was observed on the vehicle as presented for inspection’. Ufo researchers did manage to obtain samples themselves, which they forwarded to Dr Richard Haines, a NASA scientist at the time, who concluded that the dust taken from the interior of the car was different to the dust sampled from the exterior. Further tests by different analysts have provided no evidence of it being alien or unusual.

Unfortunately none of this is conclusive. There were other UFO reports in the same area at the same time, which tends to imply that something unusual occurred. The only conclusion we can safely come to though, is that something happened, and that the family witnessed an unusual light and were extremely frightened by its effects. My wife and I (we are business marketing writers) were doing some yard work this afternoon around 2:30 PM, when I noticed an odd object that appeared to be drifting, like a balloon, from east to west in the southern sky. The sky was partly cloudy with good sunshine.  At first I thought it was a balloon because it was moving so slowly; but then I realized that it was drifting AGAINST the prevailing west wind. I pointed it out to my wife, who agreed it looked like a dark-colored balloon. She went into the house and brought my binoculars for a better look.  Through the binoculars, I saw a distinctly black, triangular object — it looked rather like a bat-kite, which seemed reasonable to me on a gusty day like today, and it would explain the thing moving AGAINST the west wind.  Once I tentatively identified the object as a high-flying kite, I estimated the “kite” was maybe 6 feet wide and 400 feet in altitude, which would not be out of the question for some kite enthusiasts.  However, I then noticed a dark tether hanging straight down from the black triangle attached to something like an angular, light brown box that didn’t look aerodynamic at all. The box-like object was about one-quarter the size of the black triangle. This made me question my kite theory.  Then, as I was watching it, the whole assembly disappeared into the clouds — I actually watched it go into one of the cumulous clouds that were moving west to east.  That blew me away, because it meant the craft could NOT be a mere 6 feet wide and 400 feet high… it must have been more like 5000 FEET altitude, or more, in order for it to disappear into a cloud. This means it had to be a LOT bigger than a kite.  If the thing was actually 5,000 feet in altitude, that’s about 13 times HIGHER than I had estimated, which would mean my estimation of its physical dimensions was way off, also. It had to be much larger than I estimated.  The craft did not reappear from the clouds. The entire sighting lasted about 2 minutes and only crossed, perhaps, 25 degrees of the sky, very slowly, from east to west. We were looking due south, probably 45 or 50 degrees above the horizon.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

AREA 52 IN UTAH IS THE NEW AREA 51

In March 1968, 6,249 sheep died in Skull Valley, an area nearly thirty miles from Dugway’s testing sites. When examined, the sheep were found to have been poisoned by an organophosphate chemical. The sickening of the sheep, known as the Dugway sheep incident, coincided with several open-air tests of the nerve agent VX at Dugway. Local attention focused on the Army, which initially denied that VX had caused the deaths, instead blaming the local use of organophosphate pesticides on crops. Necropsies conducted on the dead sheep later definitively identified the presence of VX. The Army never admitted liability, but did pay the ranchers for their losses. On the official record, the claim was for 4,372 “disabled” sheep, of which about 2,150 were either killed outright by the VX exposure or were so critically injured that they needed to be euthanized on-site by veterinarians. Another 1,877 sheep were “temporarily” injured, or showed no signs of injury but were not marketable due to their potential exposure. All of the exposed sheep that survived the initial exposure were eventually euthanized by the ranchers, since even the potential for exposure had rendered the sheep permanently unsalable for either meat or wool.  The incident, coinciding with the birth of the environmental movement and anti-Vietnam War protests, created an uproar in Utah and the international community. The incident also starkly underscored the inherent unpredictability of air-dispersal of chemical warfare agents, as well as the extreme lethality of next-generation persistent nerve agents at even extremely low concentrations.  Following the public attention drawn to Area 51 in the early 1990s, UFOlogists and concerned citizens have suggested that whatever covert operations, if any, may have been underway at that location were subsequently transferred to DPG.  The Deseret News reported that Dave Rosenfeld, president of Utah UFO Hunters, stated:  ” “Numerous UFOs have been stored and reported in the area in and around Dugway…[military aircraft can’t account for] all the unknowns seen in the area. It might be that our star visitors are keeping an eye on Dugway too…[Dugway is] the new area 51. And probably the new military spaceport.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

COPS CHASE ALIEN CRAFT THROUGH OHIO AND PENNSYLVANIA

APRIL 17, 1966     ……      OHIO AND PENNSYLVANIA

Deputy Sheriff Dale Spaur and Mounted Deputy Wilbur ‘Barney’ Neff had left their scout car to investigate an apparently abandoned automobile on Route 224. Spaur described the sighting in these words:  “I always look behind me so no one can come up behind me. And when I looked in this wooded area behind us, I saw this thing. At this time it was coming up . . . to about tree top level. I’d say about one hundred feet. it started moving toward us…. As it came over the trees, I looked at Barney and he was still watching the car . . and he didn’t say nothing and the thing kept getting brighter and the area started to get light. .. . I told him to look over his shoulder, and he did.  “He just stood there with his mouth open for a minute, as bright as it was, and he looked down. And I started looking down and I looked at my hands and my clothes weren’t burning or anything, when it stopped right over on top of us. The only thing, the only sound in the whole area was a hum . . . like a transformer being loaded or an overloaded transformer when it changes. . . .  “I was petrified, and, uh, so I moved my right foot, and everything seemed to work all right. And evidently he made the same decision I did, to get something between me and it, or us and it, or whatever you would say. So we both went for the car, we got in the car and we sat there….”  As they watched, the UFO moved toward the east, and then stopped again. Spaur picked up the microphone and reported to the dispatcher. At this time, the object was about 250 feet away, brilliantly lighting up the area (“It was very bright; it’d make your eyes water,” Spaur said.) Sergeant Schoenfelt, off duty at the station, told them to follow it and keep it under observation while they tried to get a photo unit to the scene.  Spear and Neff turned south on Route 183, then back east on Route 224, which placed the object to their right, and out the left window. “At this time,” said Spaur. “it came straight south, just one motion, buddy, just a smooth glide . . .”and began moving east with them pacing it, just to their right at an estimated altitude of 300-500 feet, illuminating the ground beneath it. Once more the UFO darted to the north, now left of the car, and they sped up to over 100 mph to keep pace with it.

As the sky became brighter with predawn light, Spaur and Neff saw the UFO in silhouette, with a vertical projection at its rear. The object began to take on a metallic appearance as the chase continued. Spaur kept up a running conversation with other police cars that were trying to catch up with them. Once when they made a wrong turn at an intersection, the object stopped, then turned and came back to their position. Police Officer Wayne Huston of East Palestine, Ohio, situated near the Pennsylvania border, had been monitoring the radio broadcasts and was parked at an intersection he knew the Portage County officers would he passing soon. Shortly afterward he saw the UFO pass by with the sheriff’s cruiser in hot pursuit. He swung out and joined the chase. At Conway, Pennsylvania, Spaur spotted another parked police car and stopped to enlist his aid, since their Cruiser was almost out of gas. The Pennsylvania officer called his dispatcher.  According to Spaur, as the four officers stood and watched the UFO, which had stopped and was hovering, there was traffic on the radio about jets being scrambled to chase the UFO, and “. . . we could see these planes coming in…. When they started talking about fighter planes, it was just as if that thing head every word that was said; it went PSSSSSHHEW, straight up; and I mean when it went up, friend, it didn’t play no games; it went straight up” (Transcript of taped interview with Dale Spaur).  The Air Force “identified” the UFO as a satellite, seen part of the time, and confused with the planet Venus. Under pressure from Ohio officials, Major Hector Quintanilla, chief of PROJECT BLUE BOOK, had an acrimonious confrontation with witnesses and refused to change the identification, although it was pointed out to him that they had seen the UFO in addition to Venus and the moon at the conclusion of the observation. Major Quintanilla also denied that any jets had been scrambled.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.
