A slight departure from the pentagonal shape is the octagonal UFO. According to the Watford City, North Dakota, newspaper, local citizen Barb Ohnsrud and her son Kent saw an eight-sided UFO go over their house on November 2, 1978.
Each witness claimed the UFO was first seen as a bright light that quickly came down from the sky like lightning in a bad storm.
It passed overhead just 60 feet above ground and was moving quite slowly — only 25 mph.
The UFO was 40 feet across, with a large red light in the middle of the bottom surface; blue lights ringed the whole vehicle.
It had no tail, nose or propellers. After the UFO disappeared to the northeast, each of the witnesses made independent sketches.
The pentagonal/octagonal UFOs remain a mystery. No satisfactory explanation has been found to date.
(Editor’s Note: It is interesting to note that some reports of this event say the object was pentagonal, instead of octagonal. If you have ever worked with 3-D, or dealt with shapes, this would be an easy mistake to make.

Wednesday, January 05, 2000, the National UFO Reporting Center received two
telephone messages (at 0316 and 0351 hrs. Pacific Standard Time) from Officer
Thomas “Ed” Barton, employed by the Lebanon, IL, Police Department.
The messages apprised our Center that a UFO sighting had occurred in St.
Clair County, Illinois, and in surrounding areas, at approximately 0410 hrs.
(Central) earlier that morning.
the same morning, we were able to talk to Officer Barton, who reported to us the
approximately 0410 hrs. (Central) on that morning, he overheard an announcement
by the St. Clair (IL) Emergency Dispatch operator that a citizen had entered the
Highland, IL, police station, and requested that an officer go outside and view
a very peculiar object that was hovering nearby in the sky.
The citizen had witnessed the bizarre looking object on his way to work,
and he apparently refused to leave the station until a police officer had viewed
the object with him.
heard the announcement about the incident over his radio, Officer Barton looked
to the southeast from his location in Lebanon, and noticed two extremely bright
white lights suspended in the sky, close to the horizon. The two lights were
radiating so much light that the spectacle reminded Officer Barton of the
Japanese “Rising Sun” symbol, used on the Japanese battle flag.
A very short period of time later, the two large lights appeared to merge
into one, and the illumination the object was radiating appeared to increase
Barton began driving south and east in attempt to approach the object.
He turned his overhead flashers on, and at times was driving at 75-80
m.p.h. toward the object, which was still generally to the southeast of his
position. After a short period of
time, Officer Barton realized that the object appeared to be traveling toward
stopped his vehicle, extinguished his overhead flashers, and rolled down the
window on the passenger side of his vehicle.
The object approached his location, and passed overhead at an estimated
altitude of 1,000 to 1,500 feet, and within an estimated 100 feet lateral
distance of his position on the ground. It
was headed generally to the west, or northwest, at this time.
The object was distinctly triangular in shape, with three white lights on
the apices of the triangle, and it exhibited a “galaxy” of peculiar lights
on its aft end, including white, hues of red or pink, and perhaps other colors,
passing overhead Officer Barton, the object suddenly turned to its left, without
either banking or yawing apparently, it suddenly accelerated quite dramatically,
and seemed to “streak” to the west, covering approximately 8 miles,
the officer estimated, in approximately 3 seconds.
Officer Barton, in multiple telephone conversations with our
organization, and during at least one radio broadcast, has emphasized how almost
unbelievably quickly the object accelerated and moved a considerable distance to
the southwest in just a few seconds. Its
velocity was almost unimaginable, he reports.
This is one aspect of the case that strongly suggest to us that the
object almost certainly was not of human manufacture.)
radioed St. Clair County Emergency Dispatch, apprising them that he had the
object in sight, and advising them as to the direction it had moved, generally
to the southwest. He recommended
that dispatch contact units to the south and west of his position, e.g. Shiloh,
Millstadt and Dupo, to have the officers there attempt to spot the object from
their vantage points
at least one officer from Shiloh, IL, witnessed the object next, and two other
officers, who have not come forward and who apparently do not wish to be
identified, witnessed the object while they were standing in the cemetery of
their town, as well.
officer from the Millstadt Police Department, Officer Craig Stevens, with whom
NUFORC also spoke, overheard the broadcast, and moved his cruiser to a dark part
of that town to see if he could spot the object in the night sky.
He quickly spotted the object to the west of his location, at
approximately 45 degrees above the horizontal plane, and gauged its size as
“huge.” He estimated that
it was “one or two stories” tall, and perhaps three stories
long.” It had several very
bright lights on it.
Clair Dispatch requested that someone, if possible, attempt to get a photograph
of the object. In response to that
request, Officer Stevens removed polaroid-type camera stored in the trunk of his
cruiser and quickly photographed the object. Because the outside temperature was low, approximately 18-20
degrees (F), neither the camera, nor the film functioned well, so the resolution
of the photograph is not good.
Officer Stevens had taken the photograph, the object appeared to move further to
the west, moving toward Dupo, IL, Cahokia, IL, and St. Louis, MO.
A Dupo police officer may have witnessed the object at that time.
the final analysis, the police departments and communities involved in the
incident include the following: Highland,
Summerfield, Lebanon, Shiloh, Mascoutah, Millstadt, Dupo, and Cahokia, Illinois.
The object was observed by officers from at least the following
communities (in chronological sequence): Lebanon,
Shiloh, (Other?), Millstadt, Dupo, and Cahokia (?).
Force Base: At one point during the
sighting, we estimate, the object was within 2-3 statute miles of Scott Air
Force Base. However, an official
spokesman for that base reportedly made an official statement to the effect that
A) their tower was closed for approximately one hour during the time of the
sighting; B) their base radar had been turned off for unspecified reasons during
the same hour; and 3) none of their personnel was aware of the sighting, and
none had seen the object.
has received several unconfirmed reports that shortly after the incident,
several of the police departments involved in the sighting, and several of the
actual eyewitnesses to the incident, received visits from two, or more,
individuals, who are active employees from the federal government.
They requested that the parties involved in the incident curtail all
their statements to the press. We
are unable to confirm these reports at the time this Summary Statement is being
intercept by military aircraft: NUFORC
has an unconfirmed report from a highly reliable source that jet fighters from a
nearby Air National Guard unit may have been “scrambled” to take a
look at the object. The nearest ANG
unit we are aware of is the Missouri Air National Guard, which flies F-15’s out
of Lambert Field/St. Louis Airport. We
have a second hand report that personnel at the airport witnessed a take-off of
F-15’s at approximately 0420 hrs. that morning.
We have a second report from an individual who remembers having been
awakened at approximately the time of the sighting by the sound of military jets
taking off from Lambert Field.
witnesses: NUFORC has received a
report from a woman who was driving to work that morning and allegedly witnessed
the object. We are awaiting her
written report. Other witnessed
have asserted that they may have seen the object earlier to the north, near Lake
Michigan. We have received no
written reports of such sightings. We
also have an unconfirmed report that the object was video taped during the early
part of the sighting. This fact,
too, is yet to be confirmed.

Bell radio talk show (“Coast to Coast”); the Jeff Rense talk show
(“Sightings”); German public radio; many other radio programs across the
country; The St. Louis Post-Dispatch newspaper; Knight-Ridder publications; the
Los Angeles Times; the Chicago Sun-Times; other publications that subscribe to,
or carry releases from, the above media outlets.

UFO Reporting Center Case Brief
Ides of March Sightings
March 15, 1995
Traditionally, the Center identifies a given sighting by assigning to
it the name of the nearest city, or other geographical feature or landmark.
It the case of the cluster of sighting reports we received over the Hotline
on the evening of March 15, l995, so many states and cities were involved,
we are going to borrow a line from Shakespeare regarding the possible perils
of that date…
The first call we received was from Cannis City, FL, reporting that
two males were walking along railroad tracks near that town and were stunned
to see a luminous, white disc-shaped object streak across the sky, pass
below or near several aircraft in the night sky, appear to ascend back
up into the sky, and disappear to the north. The report seemed to be sincere,
and bore several of the hallmarks that the Center knows to be characteristic
of legitimate reports. However, it was so much like so many other reports
the Hotline receives on a regular basis that we were not yet alerted to
the possibility that other reports were soon to follow…
The third call we received minutes later from a gentleman in Jackson,
TN, who reported witnessing a blue-green “cloud of light” hovering
in the night sky. He had seen it streak from the northwest beneath, he
thought, almost solid overcast, hover for approximately 30 or 40 seconds,
during which time he could almost see some kind of object apparently imbedded
in the cloud of light. The object then began to drift generally to the
southwest, the caller reported, at which time it belched out a large “cloud”
of sparks, and then streaked southwest, quickly disappearing from sight.
Minutes later, we received a call from a sergeant in the Missouri Highway
Patrol communications headquarters in Jefferson City (“Troop F”).
The officer had been on duty that night at his station on the east side
of Jefferson City, when together with two Jefferson City police officers,
he witnessed an intensely bright, green light hover in the sky over Jefferson
City for approximately 5-7 seconds. The object began to descend slowly,
at which point its color changed to yellow, and then it simply disappeared
from sight instantly, like a light being switched off. The patrol officer
reported that their “911” emergency dispatch telephone line had
taken many reports from citizens regarding the same object, and one caller
reported that his cellular phone and radio went dead while the object was
near his vehicle.
While I was speaking with the patrol officer, another call came in from
a retired commercial airline pilot, who resides in Vienna, VA. He and his
wife were driving back to their home in Vienna, just a few miles west of
Washington, D.C., after having picked up their daughter at National Airport.
Their daughter is an airline pilot for the same airline that her father
had flown for, and from which he had retired.
As they were driving west (at a heading of approximately 250 degrees
magnetic) on Westford Avenue (?), approaching the exit for Chain Bridge
Road, the father and daughter both simultaneously observed an bright object,
apparently at some distance from them, streak down out of the sky almost
directly ahead of them, descending at approximately 70-80 degrees from
the horizontal plane. They both expected to observe some kind of explosion
when the object reached ground level, but nothing happened! Rather than
explode, the object simply disappeared from sight–uneventfully– when
it reached the horizon…
The next call came from Fairmont, WV, perhaps a hundred miles (or more)
to the northwest of Vienna, VA. A young woman called to report that, after
visiting with her mother in Westover, WV, she had just sat in the driver’s
seat of her car to leave, when a bright light had streaked silently over
her car at a breath-taking velocity. She added that as she glanced up at
the light, she thought she could make out the outline of an “egg-shaped”
object imbedded in the orb of bright light. The back portion of the object
was bright yellow.
Many other calls were received that night, and over subsequent days,
regarding what appears to us to be the same sighting. Thousands (!) of
calls reportedly were received by radio stations and “911” facilities
in St. Louis, MO, after the object passed over that city, and we received
two very convincing call from western Illinois, as well.
In summary, it appears that one or more egg-shaped objects, radiating
intensely bright green, blue-green, and yellow light, and periodically
spewing out a cloud of sparks, streaked over at least seven states, stopping
from time to time, and the whole event occurred in a matter of minutes!!
I would like to close discussion of the case by extending congratulations to Mr. Tom Eckhardt, and the other UFO investigators, of the Acteon Group in St. Louis for their excellent investigation of this case. From our vantage point, their investigation and documentation of the events that occurred over their state on March 15 was second to none, and we are grateful for their wonderful written report regarding the incident. Slupsk Military Airport, July 6th 1983, 11:26 am. The Radar localized an UFO object that had transgressed Polish airspace. Mr. Stanislaw Z. noticed the officials. Shortly then alert was announced. In the following minutes captain Praszczalek would go in the direct contact with the UFO.
It is often that military services maintain that they don’t register similar events but it was always clear that also Polish army deals with pilots’ UFO encounters. There are many similar reports and the following one occurred in 1983 in Slupsk. The information was obtained from Mr. Marcin Wawrzak, an UFO enthusiast from Slupsk. It is a relation of a navigator, Mr. Stanislaw Z.
“On July 6th 1983 I was on commanding duty as a navigator. We received information that some Unidentified Flying Object appeared over an airport in Darlowo.”
Slupsk Military Airport, July 6th 1983, 11:26 am. The Radar localized an UFO object that had transgressed Polish airspace. Mr. Stanislaw Z. noticed the officials. Shortly then alert was announced. In the following minutes Cpt. Praszczalek would go in the direct contact with the UFO.
After several minutes, the pilot replied:
“I can see the target. It is steel in color, rotating around its axe, ‘throwing’ as a boomerang, without any exploratory marks, without any engines nor markings” – Stanislaw Z. told.
Cpt. Praszczalek’s report baffled the airport command. It was decided to notify the General Command of Air Forces in Warsaw.
“In 20 minutes the decision came ordering the pilot to use fire. When I passed the command: “Fire!” to the pilot and I deliver limitations, he told: “The object made a sharp turn and disappeared!”
In the following moments chaos reigned onto military radars screens. Navigators began registering thousands of unknown signals. For the next 10 hours military aircrafts were unsuccessfully searching the entire area.
On the next day the Military Special Service members appeared in the base and began their investigation but its final verdict isn’t known. Stanislaw Z. refused to talk about the investigation. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Between 9;30 and 10;15 PM more than 200 people phoned local and state police to report a huge object with bright lights flying low over the highway near the towns of Newtown and Southbury in Connecticut. Those witnesses that called state police in Southbury were told that it was nothing more than a group of Ultra light aircraft from Candlewood airport flying in close formation and hanging colored lanterns from the bottom of the plane. The police also told witnesses that the aircraft were painted black so that all that can be seen is the lights. Many of the witnesses to the phenomenon found it very hard to believe the official explanation.
One witnesses to the UFO was Mrs. Betty Proulx of Middlebury who said that the object hovered over her house without a sound for over two minutes.here was no doubt in her mind that what she was looking at was one solid object.When Mr. Proulx heard about the explanation he could not accept it since he was in the air division of the Navy. “It was one craft and like no aircraft that I have ever seen in my life”.
Another witnesses was Mr. Randy Etting a commercial airline pilot with over thirty years of experience. Mr. Etting said that the idea of the ultra light theory “is the prattling of idiots” Mr. Etting observed the lights from his home in Newtown Connecticut at about 9:45 PM. He said that there were at least eight lights of different colors flying very close together and without a sound. As the object passed his home he observed it in a pair of 7 X 35 binoculars. Mr. Etting told me that the UFO was one object and he saw some type of heat waves coming from the object which distorted the area around the lights. Mr. Etting watched the object with neighbors and his son for over ten minutes as it slowly drifted to the north west. All the witnesses agree that the UFO was one solid object and round in appearance.
The Etting party was observing the UFO while it was passing close to I-84. At this time over a dozen cars pulled over to view the UFO as it passed overhead. One witness a Charlie Tuperman described what happened that night.
“It was about 9:30 or so and I was driving East on 84 around the Southbury area when I noticed these lights ahead of me. They were low and it looked like a 747 was going to land on the highway.This thing had about ten lights in kind of a half circle and the lights were yellow, green, blue, white and red. This thing was going very slow and moving from the east to the west. All of a sudden every one on both sides of the road began slamming on their brakes and pulling over to the side. It was a dangerous thing to do since there were several trucks apparently trying the same thing. I pulled over and watched this thing pass directly over the west bound lanes. I saw a dark mass behind the lights and there was no sound. I saw the lights of a state trooper just ahead of me and I figured he was called to see what was going on. Then all of a sudden this thing gets real bright, I mean all the lights just got ten times brighter for about ten seconds or so, then they faded to where they were before and that is about as bright as a planes wing lights. That really scared me. I wanted to get going because I thought there was some type of invasion or something,I just wanted to get home. Besides I was afraid of some trucker plowing into my car. I watched it head west and lost it . I turned on the radio for news, but didn’t hear anything about any UFOs on any of the local stations”.
At about 10:00 after the series of sightings in the I-84 area. The UFO was seen heading to the west. It was then seen in the New Milford Connecticut area by a Robert Nellis his friend Jeff and Mr. Nellis dog. They were all in Nellis car off a side road off Route 7 in the northern area of New Milford. They were driving home after a long day of boating upstate along the Connecticut river.The dog began to bark and cry and at that point Jeff looked over to the northeast to see a number of bright lights hovering over a stand of pine trees less than a quarter mile away. They stopped the car and at that time their car radio began to sound “funny” with all types of strange sounding static that interfered with the station that they were listening to.
They stopped the car and continued to watch the lights. At this moment the lights began to move slowly towards them. They were amazed at the size of the object, “larger than a football field”. The dog continued to bark as the object passed over their car . Neil looked up and saw a very dark structure connecting the lights that extended toward the rear of the object. He said it was teardrop in shape and the lights in the front were in a half circle.The object was so large he said that” it covered the sky and blocked out everything overhead”
The object he said was made of some type of “dark grey material with very little reflect ability”. There was no sound and they estimated that the giant UFO was no more than 500 feet above their car. The UFO then passed over their car and then shifted towards the north. They both noticed some type of flashing lights under the object that gave the impression as if something was moving. They watched the UFO slowly move away. The total duration of the sighting was ten minutes, however both men arrived home forty minutes later. This is could be a case of missing time, or the witnesses observed the object longer than they thought.
Neil would call me for several days after my interview with him since he felt “uneasy and upset” about his Close Encounter. My research team and I are still investigating this case and it seems that it may be another of the many missing time cases that are escalating in the area.
This UFO was so bright and large that it was only a matter of time before someone would come forward with a photograph. To our surprise we were contacted by a person of high standing in the Southbury area who took a picture of the object as it moved very slowly over I-84 at about 9:30 PM. The photographer wishes to remain anonymous since his position is very sensitive. He his a very highly trained college educated man who fears that the publicity surrounding the photograph could hurt his career. He gave us full rights to the photograph and his sighting account providing we do not use his real name. We will refer to him as David. (This person was actually Randy Etting; B J)
David was on I-84 on Official business when he saw the lights. The lights were in the northwest and heading east. As he watched, the object tilted and all the lights got much brighter.He was pulled off the road at the time and had his camera ready. The UFO was about 45 degrees above the horizon. Due to traffic he had time to take only one picture. His camera was a 35 mm with a 50 mm lens at 1.8, the film type was Kodacolor ASA 400 and the exposure was 1/60th of a second, or 1/125.
He was not sure of the setting, but feels it was 1/60th of a second. The object then moved toward the east without a sound. During an interview with this researcher, David told me that the he was sure there was a solid object behind the lights. He also said that when the object turned it looked like the lights on the sides were pulling out from the main mass, but he realized that this effect was due to the object changing position from his point of view.
Several photo-analysis experts are now looking at the photograph. Our initial study showed that the image is without a doubt hanging in the sky above the ground. Also the photograph was looked at by Dr. Willy Smith a scientists and UFO researcher of some repute. Dr. Smith’s initial calculations show the object to be anywhere from 650-1600 across!
We believe that this photograph is one of the best nighttime UFO pictures taken in the past twenty years. There were quite a few witnesses to the sighting over a twenty-five mile radius, all reporting the same thing. A close examination of the original negative shows that the lights are reflecting off of some type of structure in the central part of the object.Also the lights are in a perfect half circle. There is no doubt that what ever the UFO photograph represents it is one solid object. We hope to get more data on the photograph and the sightings in the weeks to come. I have taken an add in the local papers asking for videos and photographs and sighting accounts from that night.
What about the theory that the UFO is nothing more than Ultra lights from Candlewood airport. We questioned state police on this theory. An officer stated that they made a mistake about the airport, it wasn’t Candlewood but Stormville airport. A flight instructor at Stormville later told us that there is only one Ultra light at Stormville and it only flies in the day since it is illegal for them to fly at night.
The UFO sightings in the Northeast continue. In the days to follow I received several calls from witnesses who saw formations of military helicopters in the sighting area. One witnesses took a picture of this formation. Is the government involved in the mysterious happenings over the Connecticut area? Many of the residents feel that the government is well aware of the UFO and is doing its best to play down the sightings by explaining them away.
I called nearby Bradley international airport to find out if they had any information about the sightings. I was informed by air traffic control that no formations or large aircraft were tracked on radar at that location and time.
I was also told that unless the “aircraft” have transponders (a device placed in aircraft that helps identify them on radar) in them they would not be picked up at that location at an altitude of less than 2,000 feet. I have enough witnesses in different locations at the same time observing the UFO to determine that the approximate altitude was between 1,000 and 1300 feet.
Based on this information my calculations indicate that the span of lights was at least 900 feet! Its apparent size in the sky was quite large, this is evident by the image on the 35 mm frame that takes up almost half the negative.
It is obvious from the photograph and by the witness statements that something more than ultra light aircraft was in the sky over Connecticut that night.
The following is a true and accurate account of my “close encounter” in Seattle, Washington, which occurred in 1993. I believe it was in the month of November.
It was a Sunday night about 9:30. I often had occasion to be driving north about that time of evening on Sundays, and I usually took the I-5 freeway. This time, however, I knew the freeway, northbound, was jammed up due to an accident. So I took an alternate route which eventually led me to what I think was East Marginal Way, right next to the main Boeing Aircraft facility in Seattle.
As I was traveling, northbound, I noticed three red lights low in the sky ahead of me and to my right. They were moving in unison, very slowly across my field of vision from east to west. At first, I thought they must be the lights of a low flying plane, perhaps about to land. Then I thought, no, they must be helicopters because a plane, even if it was landing, wouldn’t be moving that slowly.
The trouble was, I couldn’t actually see the craft or crafts that the lights were attached to. They were, maybe, a half mile ahead of me, about 30 degrees to my right. Normally, I wouldn’t have paid much attention to this because I’d been making that Sunday night drive past Boeing (although via the freeway) for twelve years.
This is also not too far from the Sea-Tac Airport. In all that time I’d seen plenty of airplanes and helicopters flying low in this area. But something was different this time. It took me a minute to realize what it was. It was the fact that the lights weren’t blinking. I thought that was odd.
It seemed to me every airplane or helicopter I’ve ever seen flying at night had blinking lights. I squinted my eyes as I drove toward the lights, trying to see just what I was actually looking at.
Although I was now only about two blocks away from being directly under the flight path of these lights, I still could not make out what they were attached to.
However, from their slow, steady movement, in unison, I was pretty sure all three of them were attached to a single object, rather than being independent of each other. By the time I was directly in line with their flight path, they were about to enter the airspace above Boeing Field to my immediate left.
At this point I was convinced it was a single, low-flying craft of some kind and I knew there was something very odd here. I pulled my car off to the side of the road and rolled down the window to get a better look. But the craft was now directly overhead so I had to get out of the car to see it…
I opened the car door and stepped out, craning my neck to see the craft as it passed slowly directly over my head at an estimated altitude of less than 500 feet (Note: at the actual time of the sighting my impression was that the craft was perhaps only about 150 feet above me).
I could see it was a gigantic black triangle. There is no other way to describe it because that’s precisely what it was; a huge, black, triangle; not just “sort of” triangular-shaped, like one of those stealth jets I’d seen photos of.
It was just one big, three-sided, cookie-cutter-straight-edged, black, geometric shape; a triangle with one large, round unblinking red light at each of its three corners, flat up against the underside of the craft. There was a high, gray cloud cover that evening, subtly lit by the Seattle city lights in the distance. I could clearly and without obstruction see the object like a huge, dense, black silhouette against this gray ceiling.
I stood there almost not believing what I knew I was seeing. I actually said to myself, “Ok. What, exactly, are you seeing? You’re going to want to remember every detail of this! Just the facts, now. What, exactly, do you see?”
I made a mental inventory. “Black triangle. Red light on each corner, flat up against the underside of the craft. They don’t blink…
(Note: at this point it has proceeded on past me and was now over Boeing field)… It looks like it’s about seventy-five to a hundred feet above one of the main Boeing hangars. It’s moving very slowly. Maybe five miles per hour. It’s heading west. It appears to be about the size of a football field.”
Suddenly I realized, as I stood there in the dark on this quiet empty street, the object didn’t make a sound! Maybe more than anything else, that’s what made the whole thing so eerie. Something that huge, that close, moving through the air at a snail’s pace should be making some kind of a sound. A hum. A rumble. Anything. But, no.
It just moved across the sky like something out of a Steven Spielberg movie with the volume turned off. I looked up and down the street to see if anyone else was witnessing this silent event, but the street was dark and empty in both directions.
It occurred to me, however, that the thing had just passed directly over hundreds of cars on the freeway which was only a few miles east of where I was standing. I looked up again at the mysterious craft now blending into the dark horizon. I watched it until I couldn’t see it anymore and then it was over.
I got back into my car and closed the door. The window was still open and I took another look. Nothing was there but the gray night sky, softly aglow from the distant city lights. It was as if nothing had happened. But believe me, it did, indeed, happen. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
The U.S. Navy is drafting new guidelines for pilots and other personnel to report encounters with “unidentified aircraft,” a significant new step in creating a formal process to collect and analyze the unexplained sightings — and destigmatize them.
The previously unreported move is in response to a series of sightings of unknown, highly advanced aircraft intruding on Navy strike groups and other sensitive military formations and facilities, the service says.
“There have been a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated air space in recent years,” the Navy said in a statement in response to questions from POLITICO. “For safety and security concerns, the Navy and the [U.S. Air Force] takes these reports very seriously and investigates each and every report.
“As part of this effort,” it added, “the Navy is updating and formalizing the process by which reports of any such suspected incursions can be made to the cognizant authorities. A new message to the fleet that will detail the steps for reporting is in draft.”
To be clear, the Navy isn’t endorsing the idea that its sailors have encountered alien spacecraft. But it is acknowledging there have been enough strange aerial sightings by credible and highly trained military personnel that they need to be recorded in the official record and studied — rather than dismissed as some kooky phenomena from the realm of science-fiction.

Chris Mellon, a former Pentagon intelligence official and ex-staffer on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said establishing a more formal means of reporting what the military now calls “unexplained aerial phenomena” — rather than “unidentified flying objects” — would be a “sea change.”
“Right now, we have situation in which UFOs and UAPs are treated as anomalies to be ignored rather than anomalies to be explored,” he said. “We have systems that exclude that information and dump it.”
For example, Mellon said “in a lot of cases [military personnel] don’t know what to do with that information — like satellite data or a radar that sees something going Mach 3. They will dump [the data] because that is not a traditional aircraft or missile.”
The development comes amid growing interest from members of Congress following revelations by POLITICO and the New York Times in late 2017 that the Pentagon established a dedicated office inside the Defense Intelligence Agency to study UAPs at the urging of several senators who secretly set aside appropriations for the effort.

An intriguing incident can be found in the files of GEIPAN (the official UFO department of the French government) that took place in Fleury Sur Andelle. At just before midnight on 4th January 1994, a local resident was watching television at home.
He could, however, see clearly out of his window and noticed a strange “orange light” seemingly heading towards his property in a “to and fro” motion. This description of how the craft moved, incidentally, is a detail that shows up in many other UFO encounters.
As he moved to the window to see the object fully, he noticed it was a cone-shaped craft that appeared to be “turning on its own axis” as it approached. He would notice that several different colors appeared to emanate from the object.
Then, it suddenly shot off back into the distance before returning once more to right outside his property. It was around this time that the witness began to feel a sense of fear run through him, as well as the feeling that whoever, or whatever, was inside the craft, they were watching him. This made his retreat a little way back into the darkness of his room.
After several minutes, the witness would hear movement outside his property, as well as noticing several flashes. Even more bizarre, at the same time, he noticed a strange “contraction” feeling in his legs and back.
The next thing he knew, the craft was gone. He was, however, extremely disturbed by the incident. Perhaps even more chilling is the previous evening in Ecouis, an almost identical object was witnessed. And what’s more, it behaved in the exact same manner, approaching a house from a distance before hovering outside for some time.
The Humanoid Encounter In Tronville en Barrios, 4th January 1994
On the same evening in Tronville en Barrios, an entire family, who were just about to go to bed for the night, would witness a “bright light” hovering over the road which cut through the two fields which ran along each side of it.
As the four witnesses continued to watch, they noticed the lights decreasing in brightness. So much so that they could soon see a “bowl-shaped” object with a “transparent dome”. A little more unnerving, though, were the three “human-shaped” figures they could see inside the dome. They each had on a shiny uniform, and at least one of them appeared to have a head much too large for its body.
The family would alert their neighbors, who would also watch events unfold with fascination. Even more so when a door at the side of the strange object opened and one of the humanoid figures stepped out momentarily. He would appear to be examining the ground, which he did with a torch-like device for several moments.
He would then return inside the object which subsequently took off into the night sky. Following this close encounter, several other residents of the area would report a glowing red object overhead.
Bizarre Luminous Objects Sighted Over Nouzonville, 9th January 1994
According to another GEIPAN report, at around 7:30 pm on 9th January 1994, only five days after the cone-shaped incident, in the Nouzonville region of France, two witnesses – a young woman and her friend – would witness and report a “luminous rectangular” object in the skies overhead.
So enthralled with the bizarre object were the witnesses they would stop their vehicle in order to view it clearer. They could see that white and red lights appeared to surround the edge of the craft but it would suddenly become lost in the clouds.
They would quickly get back in their car and continue on the road, all the while looking for the strange object to appear once more. When it did, the pair once more brought the car to a stop and stepped outside in order to watch.
However, this time, instead of a glowing rectangular object, she could see an oval-shaped craft, once more with an outer edge of red and white lights. Whether this is the same object or a second craft is uncertain. There are, though, many cases on record of objects changing shape, sometimes right in front of the witness’s eyes.
The pair would watch the craft until it too disappeared. They would further notice how silent it was. They would report the incident. However, no explanation was ever provided to the pair and the incident remain unresolved. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
On December 15th, 2005, A friend and I had the following UFO sighting. At 3:30 am, on this morning, with me at the wheel, my friend and I went on a little drive to see the UFO activity in Utah Valley. We focused our attention mainly on two areas.
1-The night sky above Spanish Fork City, Utah.
2-The Spanish Fork City Airport.
Both of us were absolutely astounded, to say the least as we approached Spanish Fork City from the north when we observed one of the biggest UFOs that I’ve ever seen. The diamond-shaped UFO was floating slowly, about 300 feet above this city, moving northbound.
We were fascinated with the camouflaging measures, used by this sinister looking spaceship. Reproduced into this massive UFO’s outer shell, were the lights (yes they were HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE LAMPS) of the city of “Woodland Hills” which is a few miles south of Sp.Fk.
Looking directly at this UFO, one may very well be inclined to believe that they are merely looking at some boring city lights, which we are all so familiar with. This, I believe, is exactly what the Aliens are counting on. In my opinion, it is an absolutely ingenious camouflaging measure.
As I gazed wide-eyed and open-mouthed at this colossal craft which I estimated to be about three city-blocks wide and two blocks tall (please excuse my inarticulate and unscientific terminology), I had an inexplicable and conclusive feeling that I was looking at an “airborne Alien nursery!”
Both of us were also very intrigued by the appearance of two “EYES,” human looking in every way about six-feet in diameter which were placed into the sides of the UFO’s outer shell. The technology which the spaceship exhibited in placing so many lights of various sizes which matched all of the lights of Woodland Hills, revealed a high degree of intelligence, in my opinion, of those who possessed and piloted it!
At the Spanish Fork Airport at 5:30 am, as we sat parked, we observed a strange sight. Rolling slowly down the runway, escorted by a low-flying, egg-shaped UFO, was some type of wheeled unit which appeared to be some type of “star projector.” It was close in size to a typical “potato chip” truck. An astounding number of glistening lights, all of which had the appearance of “stars,” covered this mysterious contraption.
The “projector” looked to be rolling down the runway of the airport. I knew, however, that it could be somewhere else, perhaps far beyond our locale. I have been aware now, for some time, that the Aliens have the technology to mask the precise locations of their hardware and activities, by making their appearance seem always to be “distant” as one approaches those areas.
Our presence did not go unnoticed by the “Aliens” as we quickly perceived that six UFOs of various sizes were gradually moving towards us using the HIDLs around us as “cover.” After aligning the lights of their ships, to the HIDLs, I believe, they can then sneak up on their targets.
Perched menacingly atop a nearby building behind the airport parking lot where we sat in our car, we observed an egg-shaped UFO, about 20 feet-wide and 10 feet-tall creeping up on us. Suddenly (I suspect in an effort to distract us from viewing the “star projector”), its right light got brighter and bigger and split into four quarters; two blue and two red, in color. The red quarters then shifted places with the two blue quarters.
A white light then appeared in the midst of the two red quarters of light, about the size of a silver dollar, which continued to gradually grow in size.
Anticipating that something big was about to happen, I sarcastically said to my friend beside me “I’ll bet a helicopter comes out of it; I was wrong! The white light continued growing in size as it slowly moved towards us.
We watched in absolute awe and suspense as it was quickly transformed into a small, white airplane with two red ipinstripes on it!(something like a small cessna).
Traveling at a speed of what appeared to be only ten m.p.h., it swooped slowly down to land… shining a bright spotlight momentarily at us, as it proceeded to taxi down the runway to a hangar behind the airports offices.
The planes appearance took us back a bit. I felt unhesitatingly obliged to turn the car’s ignition key and punch my foot to the accelerator! At that moment my greatest priority was to rush immediately away from the strangeness of what we had just witnessed!
For the next two hours, we drove around the area – dazed and somewhat confused – wondering to ourselves what might happen next. When we began to feel our bodies experiencing a sudden, extremely uncomfortable fever, I began to be suspicious, that perhaps a small Alien probe was traveling with us, either above or beneath the car which was perhaps emitting some type of radiation.
Stopping the car, I got out and knelt down to look under it. Finding nothing, I walked around the car for a full inspection, as I did, I noticed that one of the “high pressure sodium vapor lights” which was directly behind the local “solid waste transfer station” about 100 yards away, was emitting, or shooting a great many, large, bright orange sparks directly towards us!
We quickly fled the area, placing ourselves well out of range of what I perceived to be some type of weapon intended to dissuade those unwelcome and pesky humans who were in the area, from hanging around and making further observations of the Aliens ongoing activities!
At 7:30 am, as we made our way home, I casually looked back towards Spanish Fork, and was amazed to see two “black helicopters” attending to a slow moving cloud, shaped precisely like the massive UFO which we had been observing with interest throughout the night! It crept slowly away, at the same speed as all of the clouds around it, until it rose up gracefully above the nearby mountains and disappeared. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
A Strange Encounter On A Vacated Highway In Volgograd, Russia, 1999
Just over a week later, on the 12th December in Volgograd in Russia, another incident would unfold with strange humanoid creatures. According to a report which comes from UFO researcher, Anton Belousov, the witness – a woman named Larissa – was a passenger driving along a lonely highway with her father at around 9:30 pm when she noticed “two figures dressed in black” at the roadside.
Several moments later, a strange, thick, yellow fog appeared out of nowhere and completely enveloped their vehicle. As she stared over at her father, he appeared to be intentionally ignoring the bizarre situation. Instead, he was focused fully on the road ahead, ignoring the questions from his daughter as to what the strange men and fog might be.
Then, a sudden and loud “clang” came out of nowhere, startling Larissa somewhat. Even more startling was the strange voice urging them “keep traveling”. A voice, incidentally, she heard in her head only and that was most definitely not hers.
The next thing the pair realized they were parked at the roadside. The lights of the impending village were visible in the distance in front of them. However, neither could remember traveling there. Nor could they account for a large portion of missing time.
They would drive on to their destination, confused and tired. The following morning they would go through what they could recall. Larissa’s father would claim to have memories of “two large heads with slanted eyes looking at him”.
Their vague memories were enough for them to seek hypnotic regression. The revelations from these sessions were remarkable, to say the least.
They would recall that shortly after entering the thick yellow fog, a strange “black, shiny triangular craft” was visible hovering over the vehicle. It would descend and land on the road in front of them blocking their path.
Even through regression, they couldn’t recall how they had made their way inside the craft but that was their next memory. Inside the room with them were two strange humanoids. Each had an oversized head and two large, black eyes – much like Larissa’s father recalled the morning after the encounter.
Larissa would further recall entering into a telepathic dialogue with the strange entities, although not understanding how she did so. She would also recall being sat in a strange chair that appeared specifically molded for her. Around her were another four of the strange humanoids.
Although her memories were increasingly disjointed, one of the most intriguing claims was of being handed a “human-alien hybrid baby”, which like the humanoids had an oversized head, but sparkling blue eyes.
For all of the harrowing experiences, each had the feeling that the strange creatures were very much “benevolent”.The next thing each recalled is waking sitting in their parked car at the roadside. NOTE: The above image is CGI
I was on my phone watching the NASA’s spacewalk 63 aboard the ISS aired in real time yesterday on the 20th of January 2020, around 6 hours and 30 mins into the space walk the last astronaught was preparing to enter back into the air lock for depressurisation and re-entry into the interior of the ISS. The two female astronaughts involved in the spacewalk included Christina Koch and Jessica (can’t remember the surname). I was watching Jessica on her way to the air lock impressed with the quality of the camera being used filming the final moments of the spacewalk on the exterior of the ISS, and then I noticed something strange on the screen. In total for the time I viewed the UFO on screen it stood perfectly still for about three seconds before shooting off which took about 0.5 seconds. Honestly I briefly thought it was an insect given it’s appearance as a tilted letter T, assuming that the shaft of the T was the body and the extremeties either side (longer than the shaft of the t like shape) were perhaps it’s wings. I then looked to see if it was attached to the ISS in any way hoping that perhaps a beam of light might reflect of a wire demonstrating that this T shaped object was connected to the exterior of the ISS. Whilst doing so I had a sudden realisation that it wasn’t attached at all and that it was perhaps a UFO. I decided to quickly screenshot it and upon doing so it zoomed of SO fast it was like, god I don’t know it was gone and shrunk to a point of infinity in less than the space of a second. It did not gradually accelerate it just instantaneously shot off into the distance exactly following the direction the camera was facing until it could no longer be seen. The video feed in use soon after changed to a different camera aboard the station. The photo I will attach of the ufo was about 80% during its shooting off phase, it was originally about 5 times closer and larger looking due to its close proximity. You can see that isn’t just some glitch in the camera lense as the sun light hitting the object is on the same side as the sun light hitting the ISS.
I was in my back yard during the day and noticed something silver in the sky. I had a look but could not see it clearly from that distance, only to know for sure there was something silver flying high in the sky. I got my camera and took several photos, which I tried to zoom in somewhat. I got a number of mostly clear pictures of the object (I think there were actually two going two different directions, but I could be wrong).
I was surprised when I saw the pictures up close after I took them. The shape of the object is like two long metal bars, with a smaller metal bar connecting the two in the middle. The surface is smooth, silver, and shiny. I have sent the pictures to a local small airport and asked for their opinion. They said they really did not know, but it might be an ultralight with pontoons. Friends online have suggested it might be some variety of drone. I have searched online for pictures of ultralights and drones and don’t see anything like it. There certainly does not appear to be a place for a pilot anywhere. This is a real object flying in the sky, but I have no idea what it is.
The US Navy is drafting new guidelines for pilots and personnel to report sightings of unexplained aerial phenomena, colloquially known as UFOs.
The Navy told Politico on Tuesday that the decision was made in response to recent sightings of unidentifiable aircraft spotted near protected airspace and naval and air formations.
“There have been a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated airspace in recent years,” the Navy said in a statement to Politico. “For safety and security concerns, the Navy and the [US Air Force] takes these reports very seriously and investigates each and every report.”
In November, pilots for British Airways and Virgin Airways reported bright, quickly moving lights off the Irish coast. “We saw a bright light and then it disappeared at a very high speed,” the British Airways pilot, who was flying from Canada to the UK, told air traffic control in a recording. “We don’t think it was on a collision course, but we were wondering what it could’ve been.”
According to the Navy statement to Politico, the new guidelines would formalize a process for reporting unusual findings, like the sighting of an unexplainable aircraft. “The Navy is updating and formalizing the process by which reports of any such suspected incursions can be made to the cognizant authorities,” said the statement.
A 2017 report from the New York Times found that the Pentagon dedicated $22 million to an office called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) that investigated reports of unidentified flying objects. The office was officially shut down in 2012, the New York Times reported, but officials continued to investigate sightings while performing their other duties.
Luis Elizondo, a retired Pentagon official who previously ran that office, told Politico that personnel aren’t encouraged to report sightings. “If you are in a busy airport and see something you are supposed to say something,” Elizondo said. “With our own military members it is kind of the opposite: ‘If you do see something, don’t say something.'” NOTE: The above image is GCI.
So it was Saturday the 19th Nov 2016. Around 8pm at East Center St. Rutland, VT. Was getting ready to leave a friend’s driveway. Was looking up because the night sky was so clear. Wished to my self that a UFO would show up so I could share it with my friends. Then I saw flashing lights, a possible plane, pretty far up, then it was stationary. With that I ran to my friends door and them come out (2 people) and pointed this out to them. almost due east. What’s nice was there was a normal plane up there too, so we could see how there was a difference. It ended up seeming very long, there were 2 lights separated by at least a few hundred feet. One red light, one white light. Could not see the shape of object. We see another plane (both times, engines could be heard) but then new red and whites lights with all kinds of sparkling lights within a triangle shape. This was looking northeast and almost right above us at seemingly the same altitude again. Again a great way to show how different from the plane that was maybe a mile away from the sparkling triangle. The one female friend said she was getting scared of this one, the male of the party then went inside. Then I see a white lighted object moving across from my west headed to my north. Multiple red flashing lights turned on below it as it became stationary. Again it looked to be same altitude as the jets traveling but I have seen this one twice before in as many years. I have never reported this because I felt they weren’t strong enough contacts, but with this 3rd sighting of it, I think it cements it enough to call it a sighting. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
I was looking at some ESA photo (European Space Administration) when I noticed a triangle shaped craft sitting on comet P67. This craft has a tail fin like a plane and has sides like a stealth fighter jet. Its color is proof that its not part of the surface of the comet, since 99.9% of the comet looks dark, but not this ship. Can you imagine the ESA using their Rosette lander to take close up photos of this? The ESA said the lander no longer responds and has ended the mission…but that is a ruse to make the public believe this, and in reality, they will continue their mission, but this time looking for alien technology that can be retrieved and used, like this small ship of about 10 meters. AMATEUR ASTROMOMER’S PHOTO OF A UFO CROSSING THE MOON
I was in Westerly, Rhode Island videotaping the moon, a close up during day time when suddenly I noticed through my camera viewfinder an UFO crossing the screen. Once disappeared from my viewfinder I look up and I did not see it again. It was very far away in comparison with the moon. It looked like an orb of light. There was not stray of smoke or any other sign like an airplane. It was moving in a diagonal line from north to south west (from my stand point) I thought it was an UFO. I showed the video to a couple a guys who were at short distance from me and they thought it was a flying source. I kept looking up and continue videotaping the moon in case I can see it again but nothing happened.
This case is under investigation by Ken Pfeifer State Director for MUFON Rhode Island.
KENS NOTE: This is the perfect example of what amateur astronomers are capturing ever day. Seems like most of the UFO sightings are from people who are smoking outside of their homes at night. You will never see a UFO unless your are looking up into the sky….Simple as that.
“The destruction or disappearance of military aircraft during interceptions of UFOs continued apace.” As General Benjamin Chidlaw, former commanding general of Air (later Aerospace) Defense Command told Robert C. Gardener (ex USAF) in 1953: “We have stack of reports of flying saucers. We take them seriously, when you consider we have lost many men and planes trying to intercept them.” Leonard Springfield, the former Air Force intelligence officer was told by a reliable source in the 1950s that the “Air Force was losing about a plane a day to the UFOs.”Stringfield was reliably informed. According to US Defense Department figures, from 1952 until the end of October 1956, there were 18,662 major accidents of military aircraft, broken down as follows:

Of this astonishing total, most involved fast new jets (such as those scrambled in UFO interceptions), of which 56.2 per cent were found to be caused by pilot error; 8.1 per cent by ground-crew or other personnel failure; 23.4 per cent by failure of parts and equipment in the aircraft; 2.8 per cent by various ‘unsafe conditions’, and –9.5 per cent (1,773) were due to ‘unknown factors’. Thanks to Timothy Good’ book, “Need to Know” P.172 Comments: When I chased a UFO we exceeded the red lined aircraft air speed by 20 knots. In the excitement of the chase it is easy to exceed aircraft capabilities and often some part of the aircraft may fail. Many stories are told of firing missiles and making direct hits on the UFOs that were unharmed only to have them return the fire and destroy the interceptor.
Lt. Chidlaw entered the Air Corps Engineering School at Wright Field, Ohio, and later directed the development of the United States’ original jet engine and jet aircraft. He spent most of his career at Wright Field which established Chidlaw as an expert on materiel, especially aircraft. He became chief of the experimental Engineering Branch, where he monitored the jet engine development. In March 1945, he took command of the Mediterranean Allied Tactical Air Forces and was promoted to major general the next month.
Chidlaw returned to Wright Field in July 1945 as deputy commanding general for operations of what became Air Materiel Command (amc). He was flown to Roswell, New Mexico at the time of the UFO crash announcement in July of 1947. In October 1947, he became deputy commanding general of amc, with rank of lieutenant general, and full commander on September 1, 1949. General Chidlaw was given the task to evaluate UFO sightings and his group agreed the phenomena was real and approved the Research and Development Board. It is likely his team attempted to back engineer and develop their own flying discs.
Summary: A VERY large, Boomerang-shaped object tracked across the sky in a NE direction just after full dark.
I wish I had not waited months to reports this, but until recently did not know who to report it to. I saw a television program that described your field researchers and I liked that your set scientific and observational standards. I do not like wild speculation and absurd conjectures as I often see in deranged programs like UFO Hunters or whatever it is called. I like mysteries to be approached rationally. This brings me back to the night of August 11, 2010. I have long wondered if anyone else had reported anything for that night. Soon after the event, I posted an oblique statement on my Facebook page “Did anyone else see that?” simply so I would not forget the date and time. I do not jump to conclusions, but I have also failed to find a prosaic explanation for the event. There were two other people with me who saw the strange object. I will leave their names off of here for the time being. [They live nearby, but I have not asked their permission to include them in this report.] We were standing in my driveway just after full dark. It was likely between 8 and 9pm. Checking the time for full darkness at the time of the year should some up with a very close approximate time. There was a bright moon shinning in the in the southeast quadrant of the sky. I think if it were not for that, we would have seen nothing. I was facing north toward my companions as we stood there talking. The evening was pleasant and it had grown dark. It was not unusual for us to stand outside and talk although we were about to say goodnight. One of my companions was looking behind me and saw it first. She made a gasping noise or other sound while looking into the sky behind me. I turned to see what she was looking at. We live about 20 miles from Philadelphia International Airport in the town of Richwood, NJ and frequently have large numbers of commercial airliners circling overhead. I expected something of this sort. What I saw was very different. I turned to look south and saw it almost immediately or at least the impression of it. I also said a rather surprising swear word which I would not normally use in this company. The object was moving quickly in a east-north-east direction [toward the Delaware River and Chester, PA] and at first it was just a suggestion of movement because it was black against black. It was simply a different shape of black flying with no lights at all. The moonlight caught on the shape and revealed it as the sharp-angled boomerang without further detail to the surface. It annoys me to report it as an angular boomerang shape because I know there have been many other reports like that. It was very large in the sky. Much larger than the commercial airliners we see daily on their approach to Philadelphia. I do not know what altitude the circling airliners are at this point in their approach, but that is probably not too difficult to find out. Their windows are easily visible. This was far larger than those. There were no airplanes in sight at the time of the event.
The trouble is that for it to be that size it would have to have been either unusually low and close to us or farther away and unbelievably vast in size. The object cruised quickly by without the slightest sound or change in speed or altitude. I hoped it would pass in front of the moon, but unfortunately it moved “beneath” where the moon was and was quickly lost to view in the dark. It was moving fast but without knowing the distance I would not guess at its speed. It was gone before there was much chance of further reaction. I turned to my companions and we were all equally dumbfounded. There was nothing more to do except head inside. I typed the note on Facebook so I would not forget, but I also had hoped someone else might say something. It was a long shot. No one else reported anything.
I have seen stealth bombers flying in the desert and they are huge. This object was at LEAST that large, but I felt it was larger still. The stealth was my best suspect as I racked my brain, but it does not make sense. For a stealth to be that large, it would have to be too close. Why would a bomber be flying so low in a densely populated area? A stealth can easily fly above local air traffic. Flying without lights would be extremely dangerous around this crowded airspace even if you were training the crew in radar evasion. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
I have seen flying saucers since august 18, 1980. This was my 8th UFO experience, but I have never seen orbs, only spaceships. These were orbs, I think, not what I usually experience. I first noticed the object before dinner, but I just blew it off. We had dinner on the beach, overlooking the water. My wife noticed it after dinner, when we went to leave. I immediately saw a large bright light again, much brighter than the first time, approximately 45 earlier. I knew immediately what it was, a UFO. We just purchased a camera a few days before, and we went to the waters edge, and started filming. My wife did. The object, there were 4-5 of them, were extremely bright, varying in size from a pin head to a quarter. I estimate about half a mile to a mile away from shoreline. They moved independently, and went from bright small in size, to immensely bright and huge, maybe the size of a quarter. They moved up and down, remained stationary, and one of them went over land when big, over I would assume sandy hook area, 10-15 miles north of where we were.
There were 6-7 people on the beach watching and filming as well. It was amazing to see. My feelings…very excited, very controlled. I wanted to attract them, and stood in the light than ran across the water and did jumping jacks to attract it. It did not respond. The objects got extremely big and bright maybe 3-4 times. These actions unfortunately were not captured on video of photos. I told my wife to take video, to make sure we had it on video. I spoke to my cousin on the cell phone throughout part of the experience, because he knows of all the things I have experienced, and I was describing the scene to him as it happened. I am very lucky to have experienced what I have throughout my life. We never lost sight of the objects. We left after about an hour or so. We saw amazing detail of 2 orbs around a tremendous bright round light, sometimes two bright circles of light. Unfortunately, I do not know how to submit this to you right now, but will have my wife do so in the next few days to a week. You will be amazed, or maybe not, since this is probably common but it is amazing, and I would like an explanation as to what this is. I believe it is extra terrestrial. My wife thinks it was secret military craft, but she also said she did not know what it was. She does not believe in UFO’S, since she has never seen one, but then, she could not explain what we saw. KEN’S NOTE: This area has been very active with sightings over the years. Ft Monmouth is nearby and has a two mile dock that protrudes out into the bay. Military ships can be seen there often. The bay leads to the Varrazano Bridge and eventually Manhattan. Check it-out on Google Earth.
