One of the most intriguing encounters during the summer of 1950, took place in Dardennes in Var, France on 3rd August. 3-year-old “Lily F” would go missing while playing in a field right next to her parent’s home. However, she wouldn’t return home and her frantic parents began searching the area. They were doing so for over 2 hours and much to their despair they couldn’t find her.
However, she was soon discovered near a small ravine, unharmed and not at all scared. She would go on to tell her parents that she was looked after by a “beautiful lady” who had on a “brilliant white costume”. While some would put such a description down to an angel-type entity. However, such a description might also fit with an extraterrestrial occupant.
Incidentally, this case has all the hallmarks of the Missing 411 type of disappearance cases, some of which reappear in much the same circumstances as Lily F did. Was this a case of alien intervention? Or was it one of the missing person’s cases as recorded by David Paulides? Or might, in a bizarre way, it be partly both of those things? We will examine the Missing 411 mysteries in a future case study article.
Me and my 10 year old son saw UFO maybe up to 4 flying over our home about 11 pm last Friday night. They came from the right there is no flight path there we actually saw 2 join into one in a red color but I never got that on film. There was another one that hovered back and forward and side to side over my home. We went downstairs and videoed what was a flashing blue and silver circle moving around. I videoed it when I came back up. I froze shot the video and can see a blue looking circle with what looks like some discharge around it. I have been studying Ufology for 27 years and never seen anything like this. They were not choppers as they made no sound when I flashed my light on my phone. They all came nearer and then slowly dispersed .
One of the first officially recorded sightings of the 1950 UFO wave occurred on the afternoon of 6th January at a little after 2 pm over the town of Howard in Kansas. Three United States Air Force crew were piloting a C-47 on their way to Offut Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska.
They would describe the object as between 30 and 60 feet long and “shaped like a football”. They would also note how it was a “bright silver color” which would shine in the afternoon sun. It was in their sights for around two minutes, moving between 300 to 500 miles per hour at an altitude of approximately 2,000 feet.
Whether there is a connection or not, later that day at 9:45 pm over Mundy Point in Virginia, two witnesses would report seeing a strange object moving through the sky, remaining visible for around 30 seconds.
Strange Sightings Over Air Bases Across America
The following evening, at around 10:15 pm at Holloman Air Force Base in Corona, New Mexico, another bizarre sighting occurred. This time, several strange balls of light were seen traveling through the sky, changing color as they did so from yellow-white to a distinct orange. Bizarrely, as it approached the mountain ranges in the area it would “level off” and change color once again to a blue-green color.
Of course, this last detail would dismiss the notion that the objects were merely “falling” and were in fact under some kind of control. The lights would return on the evening of the 12th January, once more changing direction before disappearing out of sight.
Less than 24 hours after the initial sighting over Holloman Air Force Base, on the morning of the 10th January at a little after 10 am in Las Vegas, two civilian pilots at the Las Vegas Air Force Base – a father and son – would observe two F-80 fighter jets approaching the base as they came in to land.
However, at an altitude of around 2,000 feet, each of the witnesses would also observe a strange round balloon-like object of “pure silver” and seemingly of solid metal. They would further estimate that the object was between 25 and 30 feet across and made no noise whatsoever. Furthermore, they could see no antennas or any other external fittings of any kind. It would move calmly through the skies, seemingly uninterested in the two fighter jets, and then began to accelerate somewhat before disappearing over a nearby mountain range.
On the evening of the 11th January at the Ohio Air National Guard at Norwood in Ohio, several members would happen to point their searchlight at a “space platform” in the night sky above the city.
The Gulf of Mexico Incident
On the evening of 12th January, at 11:25 pm, the crew of a B-29 aircraft would notice three strange objects on their onboard radar while flying over the Gulf of Mexico. As an example as to the speed with which these strange objects were moving, the radar screen onboard covered a 100-mile radius. The objects would clear the screen from one side to the other in no more than 20 seconds. The overall estimated speed of these bizarre, metallic and most definitely solid objects was between 2,500 and 3,000 miles per hour.
While two of the objects would eventually disappear from sight, the other would continue to follow the B-29. Even more concerning were the two near approaches from the craft before it halted and hovered only 20 miles away. It would then move back into a pursuing position.
The object would disappear after around half-an-hour. However, the plane’s radar systems would remain jammed for around ten minutes after.
Interestingly, despite the wealth of radar information, no visual sightings of the object were made by any of the crew. This, of course, leaves open the possibility, however, remote it might be, that the incident was down to radar malfunction. A chink that many skeptics will point out.
Sightings Spreading Out Into Urban Areas
Sightings would continue throughout the United States following the incident, however. For example, in Peoria in Illinois on the evening of the 14th January, an aerial object was witnessed overhead. And while it didn’t move in a manner that would suggest it wasn’t a normal aircraft, residents would report “electromagnetic effects” as it passed.
Earlier the same day, just before 5 pm in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, several workers at the town’s nuclear facility witnessed a “fiery ball of light” hover for several moments over restricted military airspace.
Although further afield than the United States, the 15th January brought three more reports. A saucer-shaped object was witnessed hovering and rotating just off the coast of Newfoundland in Canada. On the same afternoon at Sierra de Comechingones in Argentina, a silver cigar-shaped object emerged from nearby mountains and remained visible for several minutes.
Later that evening, back in the United States, multiple witnesses would report “several strange objects” hovering over Tacoma, Washington. The following evening in Portland, Oregon, a husband, and wife would watch a similar object for almost two hours.
During the early evening of 17th January, just off the coast of Kauai Island in Hawaii, another silver disc-shaped object was reported hovering over the water. Then, it would shoot “straight-up” and vanish into the early evening sky. The following evening, on the other side of the United States in Summit, New Jersey, several witnesses observed a “spherical UFO” glowing a “reddish-orange” color moving slowly over the region.
On the same evening six military pilots, including Lieutenant Webb, would witness a “round reddish-white” object moving slowly through the evening sky over Denver, Colorado.
The Kodiak, Alaska Incident
In the early hours of 23rd January 1950 at around 2:40 am, Navy Patrol pilot, Lt. Smith was guiding his plane near the Bering Sea at Kodiak, Alaska in what was a routine security flight. He would pick up an unidentified object on his radar on two separate occasions.
When he radioed the control tower at Kodiak to enquire if there were other aircraft in the area, he was informed by the operator not only wasn’t there any other craft, but the interference on the communication line was some of the worst he had witnessed.
Around 20 minutes later, on board the USS Tillamock slight to the south of Kodiak, came the first visual confirmations of the incident. One of the on-duty personnel on the deck of the vessel would report seeing a “very fast-moving red glow light”. What’s more, the object appeared to circle the Kodiak region. Another member of the crew then came to the deck and also witnessed the bizarre object for around 30 seconds. Bizarrely, no sound whatsoever came from the glowing craft.
At 4:40 am – two hours after first noticing the strange activity – Lt. Smith was still experiencing problems with his onboard systems. However, he would notice another read on the radar. One that moved so fast that it “left a trail on the screen”. When Smith notified his crew, they would witness the object visually.
It made some bizarre maneuvers in the sky and appeared to be moving somewhere in the region of 2,000 miles per hour. General descriptions of the craft were of “two orange lights rotating around a common center”.
After heading toward his plane following a sudden sharp turn, the object disappeared from sight. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Keith Rylance told us that he had gone to sleep in the caravan bedroom at about 9.30 pm. Petra retired to her bedroom in the caravan annex. Amy stayed on a couch watching TV in the caravan annex “lounge room”. Each of these locations were in close proximity, separated by a window and wall respectively from the lounge room.
Petra’s room had a door leading to the lounge room, which was left ajar. The door to the bedroom, where Keith was, apparently was open to the lounge room. Amy apparently fell asleep on the couch. A storm was in the area.
Around 11.15 pm, Petra was reportedly woken up and when she entered the adjacent lounge was confronted by an extraordinary sight, that allegedly quickly overwhelmed her. A rectangular beam of light was being projected through the open window of the caravan lounge room.
This light beam appeared to be truncated at the end. Inside the beam Petra claims to have seen Amy in a sleep prone position, being carried out head first through the window. Underneath her, also within the beam were the items that had been on the coffee table adjacent to the couch Amy had been on. Before apparently fainting in shock Petra saw that the beam was coming from a disc shaped UFO hovering just above the ground a short distance away, near a tree at the rear of the clear section, immediately behind the annex caravan house.
Petra reports she believes she was only in a faint for a very short period of time. Regaining consciousness, she began screaming. Keith reports that he was awoken by the commotion coming from Petra. As he came from the caravan bedroom and stepped down into the lounge room annex Keith claims he was confronted by the sight of a highly agitated Petra and the contents of the coffee table on the floor in front of the window.
He told us that he soon realised that the window screen was torn in both a vertical fashion and along the bottom of the window frame. Keith indicated that initially he couldn’t get any sense out of Petra who was crying and very agitated, so he rushed outside trying to locate Amy.
She was reportedly nowhere to be found. Keith states when he started to be less agitated himself he was eventually able to get from Petra an idea of what happened. Keith claims he initially refused to believe what Petra was telling him. He said he rushed outside again trying to find his wife.
Eventually as the situation became clearer, Keith indicates he decided to call the police.
Keith call the Tiaro police around 11.40 pm reporting that his wife had been abducted and imploring that the police should come out. The manning status at that time meant there were some delays in the police coming out, but about hour and a half after the initial call Senior Constable Robert Maragna from Tiaro and an officer from Maryborough arrived at the site.
Initially police thought they might have been walking into a situation involving foul play, even perhaps a murder scene, but then the bizarre circumstances of the alleged events came into focus.
The two people, Keith and Petra, at the Gundiah property were claiming that Amy Rylance had been abducted by a “spaceship”! The officers were struggling to keep an open mind.
They were joined later by Sgt. John Bosnjak, the officer in charge of the Tiaro police. He had been asleep when the police called him to assist in the investigation. The three officers continued their investigations at the site. They confirmed that Keith Rylance and Petra Heller appeared to be in an agitated state and that there was no sign of Amy Rylance. The torn screen was examined.
A flowering bush, commonly known as “yesterday, today, tomorrow” was located immediately outside the left side of window, had indications of possibly being affected by heat or another mechanism along its right side. Oddly another flowering bush, a hibiscus, located immediately on the right hand side of the window area was not affected in the same way. The police took samples for possible later testing.
While the police were at the property, a phone call came through, which was taken by Keith Rylance. A woman was calling from Mackay indicating that she had taken a somewhat distressed and apparently dehydrated young woman from a BP petrol service station on the northern outskirts of central Queensland city of Mackay, some 790 kilometres to the north of the Gundiah – Tiaro area.
The young woman turned out to be Amy Rylance, and the female caller was ringing to advise that Amy was apparently all right and was at the Mackay hospital,
where she had been examined by a doctor. Keith handed the phone to Snr. Constable Marangna.
Given these extraordinary circumstances Mackay police were called in, making a total of three police stations involved in the investigation -Tiaro, on outskirts of central Qeensland, Maryborough on the coast and
Mackay, some 790 kilometres to the north of the Gundiah – Tiaro area.
A statement was notarised by the Mackay police with a Justice Act acknowledgement, that required Amy to acknowledge that she had stated
was true to the best of her knowledge and belief, and that if it is admitted as evidence, that she may be liable to prosecution if she had indicated anything in it that she knew was false.
This statement indicated that she last only recollected lying on the couch at the Gundiah property. She had no recollection of the events that Petra described, but claimed she then next remembered waking up lying on a
bench in a strange rectangular room. llumination came from the walls and the ceiling. She was alone.
She indicated she called out and heard what seemed to be a male voice, asking her to be calm and that everything
would be alright and that she would not be harmed. Soon an opening appeared in the wall and “a guy” about 6 feet tall walked into the room.
The man appeared to be slender in build but in perfect proportion, covered head to foot in a full body suit. He had what seemed to be a black covering mask on his face, with a hole for his eyes, nose and mouth. He repeated his calming assurances.
Amy felt she had been there a while.
The guy told her they were returning her to a place not far from where they took her from, because the lights were wrong at the property and it wasn’t safe. She then indicates she found herself lying on the bed and falling asleep.
The next thing she recollects is that she woke up on the ground with trees around her. She felt disorientated, could smell the ocean, and indicated she was not sure how long she tumbled through bushland, but seemingly
it was for a long time, but she felt she wasn’t making much progress.
She then came out onto a road that looked like a highway and saw a light from a petrol station. She walked into the station, where staff seeing her state, tried to offer some assistance.
She accepted some water, as she felt somewhat dehydrated. Initially she was not able to answer identifying questions, and didn’t know where she was.
She was also asked if she had been drinking or was on drugs, to which she said no. Amy indicated she felt tired, sore, drained and lethargic. She asked a woman at the service station to take her to the hospital, as she
didn’t know of where else to go. The woman and her friend took Amy to the hospital.
Later Amy spoke with two police officers and also spoke with her husband Keith from the hospital. She then went to Mackay police station where she gave the statement of events. Amy also indicated that this sort
of thing had never happened to her before, but when she was in 5th year school she had seen a large UFO surrounded by smaller objects.
The police arranged to put Amy in a motel pending the arrival of her husband. He and Petra arrived during the day and indicated they spent considerable time with Amy discussing what happen. Extensive notes were apparently made and photographs were taken of a triangular arrangement of marks on her inner right thigh, marks on each heel and the growing out of her hair which she had dyed earlier in the week.
Her hair had apparently started to show her former colour, suggestive that some considerable time had passed for her, apparently indicative of rather more than a few hours. Body hair had allegedly also become somewhat more pronounced that would otherwise would be apparent for the short time involved.
Via an Newsagent’s a copy of the Australian Ufologist magazine was purchased, Keith, Petra and Amy started to learn more about UFOs. Keith Rylance contacted the Australian UFO Research Network office number mentioned in the magazine. Diane Harrison took the call Date: Fri, 5 Oct 2001 15:20 p.m and for the next hour or so listened to the story that Keith and Amy told. Petra was apparently sleeping at the time.
Given the nature of the story, its complexity and the fact it apparently featured the alleged use of “solid light”, Diane decide to bring Bill Chalker into the investigation, making contact with him during the evening of Friday, October 5th.
Paradoxically Bill was scheduled to talk at a Brisbane UFO conference on October 13th, and his topics included “solid light” cases and the application of science to alien abduction cases. Bill put a call through to them at the motel, securing permission to record the conversation.
Once again Petra was not available to talk about her part in the alleged events. Keith Rylance went into considerable detail about the events, referring often to the notes they had apparently been compiling during the
day. The details described covered the events Petra had witnessed, what Keith had experienced, and what Amy told them had happened to her during her experience.
Finally Bill spoke with Amy, focusing mainly on
the events before and after the claimed onboard experiences, because Keith had already gone into considerable detail about the latter.
Bill discussed with Amy her general responses and her physical state and her current state of thought on her experiences. Keith Rylance seemed to want to control how both media and investigators would get involved.
His desire to contact the media promptly drew from both Diane and Bill the suggestion that he should think very carefully about the possible ramifications of doing so. Keith seemed to feel that it was important to get the story out, as it would come out anyway and this way he could control the way it did.
He was also trying to restrict the way the investigators could or should look into their experience. He claimed they didn’t need to proof the experience. While he didn’t directly witness the experiences he believed both Amy and Petra.
Given the possible nature of the event, and that irrespective of the ultimate resolution of the affair, it seemed destined to be a big story, Diane and Bill decided to undertake an investigation. They had been given an indication from Keith Rylance that the three would wait for the investigators to come to Mackay.
The claimants were in no apparent hurry to return to Gundiah. They gave permission for Bill and Diane to visit the property on the way. Bill arrived in the Brisbane area on Tuesday afternoon, October 9th.
Diane and Bill then travelled to Gundiah, arriving at the Whispering Winds winery property, just after 10 pm. Because of the lateness of the hour, we got the witnesses permission to stay there overnight and to conduct whatever investigation we needed to do.
Keith had arranged for a neighbour to regularly check on the two pets left behind, namely a parrot and a kelpie dog. He indicated to us that it would be okay to let the dog off for a run, but warned us it was very friendly but inclined to jump all over people.
We let the dog off at some point and observed its behaviour. At one point it did jump up on the window where the damaged screen was located. This gave some support to the possibility that at least some, if not all of the damage, could have been caused by the dog.
Some of the damage on closer inspection seemed suggestive of possible dog damage. Our inspection of the plant damage also suggested possible prosaic causes, such as heat stress. A plant at the front of the house had similar damage and a healthy flowering bush of the same species that was at the window, was examined by us at Mount Basset lawn cemetery has similar damaged.
A gardener there we spoke to indicated that the species often had random or more extensive damage of a heat stress nature from hot sunlight. The prosaic possibilities for both the screen and the plant damage are only suggestive at this point and further investigation is required. We undertook extensive investigations at the property and the area. Police were very helpful.
Our investigation generated many issues and questions, which we feel need resolution, in order to assist interpretations of these events. Further extensive investigations were undertaken in Mackay, focusing in particular at the area where Amy Rylance returned.
These included attempts to reconstruct the circumstances of Amy’s return, through onsite research. The BP petrol service station staff were spoken with and a surveillance video tape that may contain Amy’s visit there was provided to us by the station owner.
This part of our investigation also generated many issues and questions that need resolution if we are to approach any measure of certainty about the real nature of the events alleged.
Keith Rylance indicated to us he would be available to us when we got to Mackay, but it was made clear to us early on the first day of our investigations there that this wasn’t probably going to be the case.
When we contacted the motel where they had been the night before, their third motel in Mackay, we learned they had apparently already checked out that morning.
We left messages on their phone but didn’t hear from Keith until early on the afternoon of our second day, as we were leaving Mackay. In his mobile call, Keith apologised for not being available, but was indicating they had relocated to an unspecified location after having fled the area.
The primary reason for this Keith indicated was that they claimed they had a kind of “men-in-black” experience. In this case Keith was reporting a pursuit of their vehicle by a high powered dark brown 4 wheel truck. The nature of this event apparently frightened Keith, Amy and Petra, prompting Keith to attempt to loose the vehicle and eventually leave the area.
Before the completion of this preliminary report (14th October) we have heard from Keith again. We remain hopeful that they will get into more direct contact with us.
This affair is both extraordinary and controversial. Many have rushed to judgement, but given it’s complex and evolving dynamics, caution and patience is necessary. We have many issues and questions we would like
to try to resolve.
Further contact with the Rylances and Petra Heller may help this process.
The case is far from closed and requires an objective, open-minded investigation. Only time will give us the possibility of resolution and certainty about this intriguing but controversial affair.

We shall call our experiencer Eve. Eve was only 12 years old when she had an eerie encounter with the unknown. She was living with her Aunt and her cousins in Gulfport, Mississippi during the summer (July) of 1966. Gulfport is only a short distance down the coast from Pascagoula, which would be host to the landmark 1973 abduction of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker.
At the bewitching age between childhood and adulthood, Eve would portray both roles this particular day. Playing in the back yard with her cousins, she began to feel a strange sensation… like something or someone was calling her, or watching her.
She turned to look behind her, and was stunned by the sight of a craft in the distance. The craft had an array of colored lights, a pretty and alluring sight to a twelve-year-old girl. The lights were blinking on and off. They encircled the strange craft, and these lights seemed to be of a color she had not seen before, and were extremely bright and clear. In her own words, “The more I looked, the more I wanted to keep looking.”
Though the onset of the sighting had been unnerving, she now felt a strange sense of contentment. The sight of the beautifully colored lights made her happy. She could not take her eyes off the craft and its twinkling lights.
The sighting had interrupted the children’s game of “hide and seek.” Eve was “it,” and since she was taking too long to find anyone, the others began to call for her. Eve could hear their cries, but she could not respond to their pleas. She was so strongly drawn to the craft, it was if she was glued to its presence… its charm.
The importance of her game was now insignificant compared to the strange object that had her mesmerized. Finally one of the impatient children found her and tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. This jolted her back to reality, and she was then able to move. Eve was asked, “Why weren’t you trying to find us?” She responded, “I don’t know, but isn’t it pretty?” still drawn to the object.
She had not even turned toward her playmate, the craft still holding her attention. Eve pointed to the hovering, distant object. She said, “Look at that!” Her friend asked, “What is it?” The rest of the “hide and seek” gang was now on the scene, staring at the UFO. Mostly frightened, they wanted to leave, afraid it would “get them.”
One of the kids told Eve to come inside, but Eve refused, wanting to continue her watch.
Being warned that she might get into trouble by being outside after dark, Eve had watched her friends run to the back door, and then as she turned back to get one more look at the craft, she noticed it was much closer now. She could see two beings inside through a window! She could make out part of one of their bodies, and another being seemed to be controlling the UFO. The two appeared to be conversing with each other.
Eve felt as if they were talking about her, the lone person drawn to their presence. Both of the beings had long, slender arms, and the pilot of the object seemed to be focusing on Eve now.
Her happiness was beginning to turn into fright and she began running. She fled not in the direction of her house, but toward some bushes near the house. She was trying to lure the object’s attention away from her family inside the house. The UFO moved even closer to the ground now. Eve could hear no sound, but felt she was being targeted.
In her frantic run for safety, she looked back to see where the house-sized object was. A white beam was now projected from the bottom of the object, obviously searching for Eve.
She made it to the bushes before the beam could find her. She was now kneeling, shaking, and crying to herself. She prayed for God to help her, as the craft edged even closer to her hiding place.
“Had the craft found her?” she asked herself. The beam was moving…scanning the ground close to her. The object was totally motionless as the beam angled toward the ground. Soon the light disappeared up into the craft, not turned off, but drawn into the craft in one motion. Within a moment, the craft was gone.
She could barely make it out and it rose further into the sky. There were now three other craft just like the first one she saw. Eve could sense they were working in unison. The four craft were now moving slowly. Should she make a run for the house? No, not yet. Oh no!
Another craft now filled the place of the first one, and began searching the ground around the house and the bushes. After a few short moments, the beam was drawn back into the craft just like the first one had been. The second search craft now reunited with the remaining three. After what Eve estimated as some 20 seconds, the objects made a type of jerking motion, and in flash, they were gone. This was her chance. She ran for the house, and tried to open the screen door.
It was locked. She couldn’t believe she was locked out of her own house, and she began banging on the door, shaking the screen door, making all the noise she could.
“Where was everybody?” she thought. She called to her Aunt, who eventually came to the back door in her bed clothes. She asked Eve, “Who are you?” Eve said, “It’s me.” Her Aunt asked her what she was doing out so late. Eve told her that her cousins had just came in a few minutes before. Her Aunt’s reply shocked her, “Everyone has been in bed for a while.”
In Eve’s mind, she had only been outside about five minutes after her cousins had ran into the house. She wondered, “What had happened?”
Her Aunt explained that she remembered Eve was in the house when she locked the doors. Eve went to her and her cousin’s bedroom, and woke her cousin to ask her what had happened.
Her cousin also stated that she thought Eve was safe inside the house with the others before the doors were locked. The strange UFO and its occupants are gone now, but Eve’s haunting memories are not. She, to this day, does not understand what exactly occurred or why.
She turned her story in to one UFO investigative group, but no follow-up was done, and she was basically ignored. The case was not recent enough, she was told. The significance of what happened to Eve is not diminished by the passing of time. It is as important today as it was then.
Did Eve go into the house as the others claimed? Was she then abducted by the occupants of the UFO? Eve was too afraid and traumatized at the time to tell anyone what happened that summer night in Mississippi. Eve now wants to tell her story. Who will listen? NOTE: The above image is CGI.
I received an email report of a UFO incident from the witness involved. The sighting reportedly occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2002, near Tyrone, PA in Blair County. The man forwarded details concerning his experience, as well as two color photographs that he took of the object before it departed.
The witness indicated that he had also forwarded this material to the National UFO Reporting Center.
The witness is very concerned about being ridiculed, and requests not to be identified. Due to his concerns, my only communication with the witness has been via email. He has responded to my request for additional details concerning his observation.
Due to computer problems, I am unable to post the photographs at this time. I have talked with Peter Davenport at the National UFO Reporting Center, who is expected to post the pictures as soon as he completes his sighting report updates.
Sighting report narrative:
The witness was hiking in the woods on Ice Mountain near the town of Tyrone. The man had stayed out longer than he expected that day. He estimated that it was about 7:30 P.M. (local time) as he was walking back to his vehicle, when he noticed a bright light south of his location, moving towards him in a northerly direction. His first impression was that it was an airplane.
The light appeared similar to the brightness of a normal aircraft light when first observed. He then noticed that the light suddenly stopped, then began to pulsate and appear to brighten and dim. The witness then noticed a faint haze that was orange-red in color, and which encircled the object.
The pulsation pattern of the light began to increase, and it started to flicker very rapidly. The light became much brighter as it pulsated. Suddenly a thin beam of very bright blue-white light was emitted from the bottom of the object to the ground. The witness points out that this was not an ordinary searchlight.
The witness stated, “This was no searchlight. Even a well focused searchlight tends to diffuse with distance, but this light was a tight, bright beam from top to bottom.” The man tried to describe the appearance of the beam with the following statement. “Imagine a piece of dental floss held at arms length, and you’ll have a good idea of the beam’s apparent width from my location.”
The witness said that the pulsating effect suddenly stopped, and the beam of light went out. The observer commented, “As far as the form, I couldn’t see any craft or object per se, just the bright light itself and the beam that came down from it, as it was pretty dark at the time.” The object at first appeared to be circular in shape and orange-red in color. When the object stopped moving and began pulsating it seemed more oval or egg shaped.
The object continued to hover in the sky, and the witness ran to his vehicle which was about 100 yards away, to get his Olympus digital camera. The witness took one photograph as the object hovered, then a second picture was obtained just as the object was beginning to move around slowly in a tight circle. As the man prepared to take a third picture, the object, “suddenly shot straight up in the air at fantastic speed and was gone from sight.”
The sky conditions at the time of observation were described as partly cloudy. The witness did not detect any sound, or odd smells during the sighting. The witness estimates the total incident lasted about 5 minutes or less.
The witness commented that at the location where the light beam appeared to meet the ground, he estimated that he was about 1/4 mile away, or farther from the object, and that it was about 1,000 feet in altitude. The witness also mentioned that there is a large microwave relay tower at the top of the mountain, and, “the beam appeared to be hitting the ground close to the tower.” The man couldn’t see the exact spot where the beam hit.
In closing, the witness had these comments to make. “I don’t know what this thing was, but I know I’ve never seen anything like it before.” and “If anyone else saw this object, please let me know. If for no other reason, so I can stop questioning my sanity.”
On the evening of 10th February 1977, Deputy Kenneth Creel and Constable James Luke, both of Madison County Sheriff’s Department, were on routine patrol duty around the small town of Flora in Mississippi.
Creel would spot the object first while driving approximately four miles outside of Flora. He at first thought it was a particularly bright star. However, the more he watched it he realized it was growing rapidly brighter. And bigger.
The closer it got to them the more the actual shape of the object began to become clear. By the time he realized it was distinctly disc-shaped, he would radio the Mississippi Highway Patrol. As the object approached their location, passing over one of the fields that ran alongside the road, the shape of this strange craft became even clearer.
When it was “about 200 yards” from their car, Creel stopped the vehicle. Each of the officers sat silently attempting to hear any sounds that might be coming from this strange craft. A noise “like a blender…like it was straining, when you first put ice in it!”
Within seconds the object was hovering directly over the patrol car, giving the impression it was “being piloted” as it did.
“I Know I’m Not Crazy!”
The object remained in place, hovering over their patrol car, approximately 20 to 30 feet above them. Creel would recall looking directly up at the object from his patrol car. Although he couldn’t see any occupants or pilots, he did report “little windows” on the craft with “light coming out” of them. This light, he would elaborate, would change color several times, including blue, red, and green.
The officers would watch the object for around a minute before Creel started the engine and began slowly reversing so he could turn the vehicle around. However, the object “just picked up and took off”, vanishing within seconds.
I know I’m not crazy. I’ve always said I didn’t believe in this stuff! I don’t know what I saw but I know I saw something!
Just before the object took off at high speed, Highway Patrolman Louis Younger had pulled up to the scene. He too saw the round object hovering over the patrol car before disappearing at high speed.
Although they didn’t know it at the time, as well as other witnesses to the events on the night in question, there were others from accounts in the days that followed.
Creel, Luke, or Younger were not the only witnesses to strange events that evening. Several others would report similar strange aerial happenings that evening over Flora. These included Deputy Charles Bowering and Highway Patrolman Joe Chandler, who would claim to view the object from a distance.
Several nights later, however, in nearby Jayess, news of another incident with multiple witnesses would surface.
The Jayess Multiple Witness Sighting
While there appears to be some discrepancy as to the actual date of the sighting, it would seem that most put an incident at Jayess on the evening of 12th February 1977 – several days after the sighting of Creel, Luke, and the other officers and residents of Flora.
On the night in question, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Alexander, Mrs. Denver Alexander (Denver being Darwin’s brother) and her son, Eddie, who lived on the same street, and another neighbor, Mr. and Mrs. Cothern, would report seeing a bizarre “upside down dish-shaped” craft hovering over the quiet suburban street.
Mrs. Darwin Alexander would receive a call from her sister-in-law telling her to look out of her window. She, along with her husband duly did. There, hovering overhead was brightly lit craft. She would further recall how the object made a “swooshing noise” but otherwise just “hovered silently”.
Meanwhile, in the Denver Alexander household, where Mrs. Denver Alexander, Eddie, and the Cotherns all stood in the back yard of the property viewing the grey, hovering object. At evenly spaced intervals were glowing red lights, while at the top was a dome.
The six witnesses, each from their respective positions, would watch the craft for several minutes. Then, and again like the sighting in Flora, the object would take off into the night sky and disappear without warning.
On the same evening, at nearby Brookhaven Municipal Airport, several more reports were received from concerned members of the public regarding the strange sighting. NOTE: The above images are CGI.
Dr. Davis said that he was driving toward his home on Friday, November 21 between 9 and 10:00 p.m. with his 2 sons, 15 and 18-years old (He recalls the specific date, knowing that one son is in college and would not have been home any day except Friday).
While driving, they all spotted a soundless aerial object over a nearby open field that was described as an oval-shaped, white-colored light source as big as a pea held at arms length which moved ‘like a hummingbird would move.’
The object, seen in the dark and clear night skies, was relatively high when first seen and was “coming down, moving in increments as if an elevator would drop and stay there awhile, then drop and stay there awhile,” Dr. Davis said.
After the first 3 or 4 minutes of visual observation, the object began moving around to different parts of the sky. They got out of car to see if they could identify this object and verified to their satisfaction that the object was not a plane, helicopter or aurora borealis.
“My first inclination was to rationalize what this object could have been,” Dr. Davis said. “rather than jumping to conclusions. After we ruled out the various possible explanations we assumed that this was a UFO.”
“I know for a fact that there was no explanation for this object and I’m just glad I had my two sons with me to see it,” he said.
After observing this object for a few minutes, Dr. Davis and his 2 sons got back in the car and drove on to their home under a certain sense of apprehension.
“I would say that our feeling was more a sense of apprehension than fear,” he said, “I did not know what it was we were looking at and had some concern that it might or could have spotted us.”
After driving the short distance to their house, they went to a second floor bedroom and looked out the window to the northwest where they continued to watch the object. It descended lower toward the ground and seemed to be settling in a nearby field where its color had shifted from a white to an orange. As the object got lower and lower to the ground, it became bigger and its color changed to a reddish light.
He said that the size of the object increased from a pea at arms length to a dime at arm’s length, stressing that its size, from his perspective, was “not quite as drastic as a nickel at arms length.”
“There was like a vacuum of silence while we watched this,” Dr. Davis said, “it was like everything was real quiet, at a standstill and then when it became a red color, everything went crazy.”
Dr. Davis said that animals in the area suddenly erupted in a frenzy. His neighbors dog was barking crazily and his German Shepherd dog tried to break its chain.
From his perspective, the object descended to the ground but was not certain that it touched or made contact with the ground as trees prevented him from seeing this with certainty.
“At that point, after this object got red, it just “shot off” like a dart, some kind of acceleration and it just took off to the west. We just stood there dumbfounded.”
He said the sighting lasted for an estimated 10 to 15 minute duration.
“I was very reluctant to call the police about a UFO sighting,” he said, “at that point, we were not going to report this.”
“Right after that my 2-sons went back outside and heard the screaming. It was a female voice. They got in the car and within minutes had called from their cell phone to say that they had been hearing screaming sounds in the field where this thing came down,” he said.
“Approximately 20-minutes after the UFO sighting the police were at my door, there were about 20 officers and a rescue squad over in the field where I spotted the UFO. They were combing the area and had asked me what I knew about someone screaming.”
“Apparently, others had heard the screaming sounds.”
I asked Dr. Davis if he could explain what was heard and he emphasized that he did not hear the screaming sounds himself, that his 2 sons heard the disturbing commotion, along with other residents in the area that notified law enforcement.
Dr. Davis paused from our conversation to check with one of his sons, asking if he could recount the nature of the screaming sounds. He said it was a desperate, blood curdling scream of a female voice that kept saying: “Help me, oh my God, help me!”
“Apparently several people had heard the screaming, I don’t know how long it lasted,” he said.
When the police arrived at his doorstep knocking on his door (an estimated 15 minutes after the UFO departed), Dr. Davis volunteered information about the UFO sighting.
“I took the officer to the side and explained to him that this is going to sound crazy, but I need to tell you what I saw tonight.”
“I told the police about the UFO after they came to the door, I don’t know if anyone else saw the UFO but the officer taking my report took me seriously. He didn’t write anything down while I talked with him,” Dr. Davis said.
When asked if the police officer indicated that anyone else had also witnessed the UFO, Dr. Davis said that the police officer said he had seen a UFO also, but was uncertain if he was referring to the same object or a separate, unrelated sighting.
Dr. Davis said that aside from reporting this to the police officer who knocked on his door, he had not reported this sighting to any other person and that he was not the source for the report which was submitted to The National UFO Reporting Center. He was puzzled how the report made it to NUFORC and said that neither he, nor his sons, reported the sighting to anyone.
“I’m still trying to figure out who reported this,” Dr. Davis said after our conversation. He went on to say how he got “freaked out” when the cops came to the door asking about the screaming sounds.
He described the area of his residence as isolated and surrounded by fields and woodland. His road is paved. He emphasized that the screaming sounds came from the immediate area where the unidentified object had came to the ground. “The screaming sounds came from the field, and I have no explanation for it.”
Dr. Davis, who teaches psychology for the Ashland, Kentucky Community College branch of the University of Kentucky, also said that he had previously seen a UFO when he was in his Freshman year in college at Morehead State University in 1976. He said the object was similar to what he saw on Friday, November 21, 2003. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
The Navy has been withholding information
about reports of UFOs, according to a top Republican on the House Homeland
Security Committee after officially requesting more information on the
North Carolina Rep. Mark Walker, who is the
Intelligence and Counterrorism subcommittee ranking member, asked Secretary
Richard V. Spencer in July to outline the resources being used by the Navy to
investigate the sightings. He also asked if officials have found physical proof
to support the claims and whether they are aware of any private companies or
foreign nations that have introduced breakthrough technologies that could
explain the UFO sightings.
In a response through a brief letter on
July 31, Navy Undersecretary Thomas Modly stated that the Department of the
Navy takes such reports very seriously and continues to monitor them and
investigate the sightings.
However, Walker said that the Navy seems to
be unwilling to provide his committee with more information about the so-called
unidentified aerial phenomena – the term the government prefers over the more
traditional “unidentified flying objects” or UFOs. Walker has publicly
expressed concern that the craft could pose a threat to American forces or U.S.
He said that he is encouraged the Navy
Under Secretary confirmed that encounters of unidentified flying objects are thoroughly
investigated but at the same time frustrated with the lack of answers to
specific questions about the threat that advanced aircraft flying in the U.S.
airspace may pose.
Navy spokesperson Joe Gradisher responded
saying that the service is prepared to accommodate any further congressional
requests for data. Gradisher explained that they hadn’t received any new
requests for updates on this matter.
Walker specifically questioned the Navy on
unidentified aerial phenomena or unidentified flying objects, not drones,
citing reports of mysterious flying objects moving at speeds and displaying
maneuvers that go well beyond what is thought to be technologically possible.
In July 16 letter, Walker asked Spencer a series of specific questions on the sightings, including if the Department continues to dedicate resources to investigating and tracking the claims and to what measure. Walker also asked the Department if they found physical evidence or otherwise that supports these claims. Walker believes in the possibility that the U.S. government agencies already know about the truth, but the rest of us don’t. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
On Saturday, around 1700 hrs, I saw the following from my bedroom window in Veitsch, Styria. I have my pc there and was looking again like countless times towards Stanglalm (N.B. that is a local mountain south of my home). I saw 3 silent dark grey objects approx. 20-30 meters in length or diameter coming from the area of Sommerberg flying/gliding towards Stanz in Mürztal. My window was open and at first I thought I saw birds, it was absolutely quit outside, aeroplanes and helicopters make quite a sound. the three flew in a straight line after one other, the first two a few hundrred meters apart and the 3 about 10 second behind the second object at the apparently same height and direction. I knew they were objects rather than bird when the flew through some sort of electrical cloud, I could see numerous flashes of light on the “skin”/outer grey layer on each object. A bird would die instantly if caught in a lightning bolt and crash. I saw each object approx. 3-5 seconds, that was to short to get my olympus 800uz, as it takes 30-45 seconds to fire it up. The US Navy is drafting new guidelines for pilots and personnel to report sightings of unexplained aerial phenomena, colloquially known as UFOs.
The Navy told Politico on Tuesday that the decision was made in response to recent sightings of unidentifiable aircraft spotted near protected airspace and naval and air formations.
“There have been a number of reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft entering various military-controlled ranges and designated airspace in recent years,” the Navy said in a statement to Politico. “For safety and security concerns, the Navy and the [US Air Force] takes these reports very seriously and investigates each and every report.”
In November, pilots for British Airways and Virgin Airways reported bright, quickly moving lights off the Irish coast. “We saw a bright light and then it disappeared at a very high speed,” the British Airways pilot, who was flying from Canada to the UK, told air traffic control in a recording. “We don’t think it was on a collision course, but we were wondering what it could’ve been.”
According to the Navy statement to Politico, the new guidelines would formalize a process for reporting unusual findings, like the sighting of an unexplainable aircraft. “The Navy is updating and formalizing the process by which reports of any such suspected incursions can be made to the cognizant authorities,” said the statement.
A 2017 report from the New York Times found that the Pentagon dedicated $22 million to an office called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) that investigated reports of unidentified flying objects. The office was officially shut down in 2012, the New York Times reported, but officials continued to investigate sightings while performing their other duties.
Luis Elizondo, a retired Pentagon official who previously ran that office, told Politico that personnel aren’t encouraged to report sightings. “If you are in a busy airport and see something you are supposed to say something,” Elizondo said. “With our own military members it is kind of the opposite: ‘If you do see something, don’t say something.'” NOTE: The above image is GCI.
JULY 16, 2000 ………… EMPIRE BAY AUSTRALIA . Alison noticed an illuminated object over the water, hovering low on the horizon. The object had 8 square lights right around, it was football shaped with a white/gold glow and the well defined square lights were brighter than the rest of the object. The proximity estimated was quite close, approx 200-300 mtrs and elevation about a tree and a half above the water. The object was not as big as the Goodyear blimp which was not flying in that area and in fact not even in the air at that time on that day. The illumination made no noise, had no navigation lights, appeared as a “solid” light.
The illumination was larger than thumb and forefinger at full stretch at arms length, very large or very close, the witness felt the latter was the case. It was later briefly seen as the witness dropped her parents off to Umina as an illumination in the clouds, there was no beam under the cloud and the moon was visible to the R/H/S of the object although the night was somewhat cloudy. The duration of the main sighting was approx 10-15 mins and was reported to the witness by a local real estate agent as they were in casual conversation in a shop the next morning, who witnessed the same object at the same time. In 1980 I had bought a house in Colchester Vermont, on camp Kinya road, near from route 2. My house was a couple of houses down from the corner of Clay Point and Camp Kinya road. In 1980 my wife and I were putting on a birthday party for my brother-in-law. Everyone started showing up after supper time. After a while I needed a break from the party noise, so went out to smoke a cigarette. I was thinking to myself what a great night it was. It was warm, bright sky, lots of stars, and a very quiet country night. I was looking at the stars when I saw something moving up by the stars, I was looking east. I thought maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks on me so I looked down to clear my vision. When I looked up again I noticed this light that looked like a star but it had no star like rays to it. It was in a different place than I had seen it before. It was getting closer to me from the stars. It was moving very slow. It was round, very bright but it was not a blinding light. I watched it for about 30 minutes moving towards me. By looking at it it seemed to be the size of a star. It still had a ways to go before it reached earth. It was moving erratically, it had no sense of direction where it wanted to go. After another 15 minutes of watching it was still coming toward me. It still had no direction falling out of the sky. Finally the light ball passed over me headed west. It looked like it was moving just above the trees. After it passed me it headed away from the ground. When it did I said to myself “what the hell is that”. I was trembling inside. It made no sounds. It seemed to be just floating. Then it started moving towards me again, it stopped behind the trees. It still seemed to be floating. It looked to be between 100 and 1000 feet of the ground at this time. It scared me because it had stopped. I wasn’t sure what would happen next. It felt like I couldn’t move. I was screaming at it your not going to take me. Screaming at seemed to break the trance like state I was in. I ran inside and said there was a ufo outside, they all laughed. I said come out and look for yourselves. My sister and her friend came back outside with me. We all looked up and it was still there in the same spot. I pointed at it and said there it is. After saying this the object took off at the speed of light. It looked to change in to a tear drop type shape as it took off. It headed north for about 3 seconds then veered to the east at a low altitude. I then lost sight of it. I got in my car to follow in the direction it went. I pulled onto route 2 and headed east coming to chimney corners store. I saw a pay phone with two old lady’s at it. One was on the phone. As I walked up to them they were saying they saw something crash on Cobble Hill mountain in Milton Vermont as they were driving. While they were on the phone I was looking in the direction they said it had crashed when I saw the light, still in a teardrop form, head south into space. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
KENS NOTE: I spoke to the witness today and he told me about this encounter. I though I would share this important event. I am in the process of investigating another case by this witness and he has seen some strange things over the years. Many people have more than one encounter and these craft seem to follow certain people around for them to see. The is definitely seems to be some kind of connection.
Objects of unknown origin buzzed a military facility on Cabañas Bay in 1967. The troops quartered at this installation were jolted out of bed shortly after midnight by a blast of machine gun fire from the sentry box manned by Isidro Puentes. A squad was rushed to the area, but the sentinel was not at his post. Dozens of spent rounds were later found in the area, completely crushed as if they had impacted a very solid object upon impact. Even more ominous was the discovery of burn marks that suggested the landing of a large object with an estimated weight of ten tons. The missing guard was found later in the morning, completely unconscious. He was taken to a military hospital, where he remained in shock and unable to speak for nearly seven days. The hapless soldier was then transported to a neurology unit, where scans showed that he had no brain damage, but still remained unresponsive. When he finally emerged from his trance-like state, the soldier told the medical staff and investigating officers that he had seen “strange lights” behind the trees, and upon investigation, was faced with a large object shaped like a “luminous sphere.” Believing that the object could be the spearhead of a U.S. invasion force, the soldier fired at it, and could remember little else. Mitchell has gone on record about his controversial belief in extraterrestrial UFOs, and of a possible government cover-up. Dr. Herman Oberth, the father of astronautics and rocketry stated, “The Earth is being visited by aliens.” Edgar stated, “Recently, I appeared on television in New York with the Astronaut Dr. Brian O’Leary who feels as I do that we must research the subject of UFOs with greater emphasis.” Astronaut Neil Armstrong, Tom Stafford, Gene Cernan and Buzz Aldrin have talked privately to friends, but all agree there is somebody out there. Gordon Cooper’s article entitled “Aliens Are Here” tells about his letter to the United Nations that stated in part, “I do believe UFOs exist and that the truly unexplained ones are from some other technically advanced civilization.”
Edgar told me, “He signed a contract with NASA not to reveal anything he saw regarding aliens and UFOs. However, all of his friends had seen them.” Edgar stated, “After my space flight, I was contacted by descendants of the original Roswell observers where he grew up, including the person who delivered the child-sized coffins to the Air Force to contain alien bodies. Another was one of the children of the deputy sheriff who was patrolling traffic around the site. They all seemed credible with their stories that the bodies found were alien.”
Edgar felt, “White Sands was a testing ground for atomic weapons – and that’s what the extraterrestrials were interested in. “They wanted to know about our military capabilities of the nuclear bomb wing at Roswell. My own experience talking to people has made it clear the ETs had been attempting to keep us from going to nuclear war and help create peace on Earth.” He said, “I have spoken to many Air Force officers who worked at these silos during the Cold War,” he continued. “They told me UFOs were frequently seen overhead and often disabled their missiles. ”Other officers from bases on the Pacific coast told me their [test] missiles were frequently shot down by alien spacecraft. “There was a lot of activity in those days.”
Ben Rich, Former CEO of Lockheed Martin Skunk Works stated, “Everything you can imagine we already know how to do, but these technologies are so locked up in black projects it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity. We can even take ET home.” NOTE: The above image is CGI.
I was enrolled in a doctoral course that met from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Baylor University two nights a week. After class, I was driving west going home when I noticed a bright light above Lake Waco. At first, I thought it was the planet Venus; but as I continued to drive toward the Lake as I lived on the west side of town, I could the light appeared more and more to my right. So knew it wasn’t but was probably a helicopter. Two nights later as I was driving home from class, I noticed the same light again. Since as I wasn’t sure if it was a helicopter or something else, I thought I would check it out. Instead of going home, I drove over the bridge at Lake Waco and took the first exit to the right which led into Speegleville Park. I could see the craft was over the west side of the Lake in a stationary position with a white light pointing east. As I approached the craft, it turned off the light and started moving to the southwest. I could tell it was a black triangular craft. It crossed over the highway, and I decided to follow it. I got back on the highway and watched the craft cross over the highway and settled behind a clump of trees on the south side the highway. I then took the next exit and crossed over on an overpass to the area where I saw the craft go down. As I drove slowly past the trees, I could not the see the craft. The road curved back to east; and I pulled up about 100 yards, turned off my lights but left the engine running. Looking in my rear view mirror after a few moments, I saw the slowly rise from the trees and started coming toward where I was parked. It then pulled up to where I was on the other side of the fence. It turned facing me and stayed motionless, making no sound. It was on the other what appeared to a telephone line about 10 feet above it. I could definitely tell that the craft was black, triangular in shape, about 20 feet wide and 30 feet long. It had a cockpit with a greenish hue inside, and I could see the shadows of 3 small heads peering down at me. After about 4-5 minutes, a green light shined down on my vehicle, causing the engine to die. I tried to restart it to no avail. I tried turning on my lights and then the radio; but nothing worked. Getting nervous, I locked my doors. I sat there a good 15-20 minutes, trying every 2-3 minutes to start my engine. Finally, the engine turned over, and I drove down the road about another 100 yards where I turned on my lights and turned around. As I drove past the craft on my left, it hadn’t moved. When I got back on the highway heading east, I could see it was still there. About 3 years later, I saw what appeared to be the same craft above the lights at the south end of the La Vega football field, apparently observing a football game. My family and I were headed toward my wife’s family for dinner. And I wanted to drive over and show her what I had seen years earlier; but she didn’t want to go. Having served two years in AF ROTC and two years in the US Army with a Top Secret Clearance, I can say without any doubt that this craft was not one of ours. – MUFON CMS NOTE: The above image is CGI.
NOVEMBER 4, 2016 ………….. NEWTON ABBOT DEVON ENGLAND
Hi Ken : I was sky watching when I spotted a luminous object approaching. The object was sphere shaped and the top half was blue while the bottom half was white. The sphere moved very slowly across the night sky before coming to a stop. The sphere just hung there in the sky like it was waiting for something. I looked through my binoculars at the sphere looking for a conventional explanation but there was none it was definitely odd and unusual. After a while of watching the sphere I then spotted a larger object that was approaching from the west. This larger object was shaped like a gherkin. The gherkin shaped object glowed different colours as it moved and got closer. As soon as the gherkin shaped object was near and in front of the sphere it seemed to somehow attach it’s self to the sphere by using light. It was like the tractor beam out of star trek. The beam appeared to fluctuate in brightness as it began to pull the sphere. I quickly took a photograph and watched in amazement as the gherkin shaped object pulled the Sphere away across the night sky and off in to the distance. I was speechless. I have seen a lot of UFOs but I have never seen anything like this before it was really incredible to witness this. I have been sky watching a lot lately and have seen and photographed some very unusual things. Why do I see UFOs on a regular basis? The photograph was taken on the 4th of November 2016 at Newton Abbot Devon England. All the best John.
I was looking at some ESA photo (European Space Administration) when I noticed a triangle shaped craft sitting on comet P67. This craft has a tail fin like a plane and has sides like a stealth fighter jet. Its color is proof that its not part of the surface of the comet, since 99.9% of the comet looks dark, but not this ship. Can you imagine the ESA using their Rosette lander to take close up photos of this? The ESA said the lander no longer responds and has ended the mission…but that is a ruse to make the public believe this, and in reality, they will continue their mission, but this time looking for alien technology that can be retrieved and used, like this small ship of about 10 meters. Thanks to Scott C. Waring.
AMATEUR ASTROMOMER’S PHOTO OF A UFO CROSSING THE MOON
I was in Westerly, Rhode Island videotaping the moon, a close up during day time when suddenly I noticed through my camera viewfinder an UFO crossing the screen. Once disappeared from my viewfinder I look up and I did not see it again. It was very far away in comparison with the moon. It looked like an orb of light. There was not stray of smoke or any other sign like an airplane. It was moving in a diagonal line from north to south west (from my stand point) I thought it was an UFO. I showed the video to a couple a guys who were at short distance from me and they thought it was a flying source. I kept looking up and continue videotaping the moon in case I can see it again but nothing happened.
This case is under investigation by Ken Pfeifer State Director for MUFON Rhode Island.
KENS NOTE: This is the perfect example of what amateur astronomers are capturing ever day. Seems like most of the UFO sightings are from people who are smoking outside of their homes at night. You will never see a UFO unless your are looking up into the sky….Simple as that.
“The destruction or disappearance of military aircraft during interceptions of UFOs continued apace.” As General Benjamin Chidlaw, former commanding general of Air (later Aerospace) Defense Command told Robert C. Gardener (ex USAF) in 1953: “We have stack of reports of flying saucers. We take them seriously, when you consider we have lost many men and planes trying to intercept them.” Leonard Springfield, the former Air Force intelligence officer was told by a reliable source in the 1950s that the “Air Force was losing about a plane a day to the UFOs.”Stringfield was reliably informed. According to US Defense Department figures, from 1952 until the end of October 1956, there were 18,662 major accidents of military aircraft, broken down as follows:
Year – Air Force – Navy Losses
1952 2,274 2,086
1953 2,075 2,325
1954 1,873 1,911
1955 1,664 1,566
1956 1,530 1,358
Of this astonishing total, most involved fast new jets (such as those scrambled in UFO interceptions), of which 56.2 per cent were found to be caused by pilot error; 8.1 per cent by ground-crew or other personnel failure; 23.4 per cent by failure of parts and equipment in the aircraft; 2.8 per cent by various ‘unsafe conditions’, and –9.5 per cent (1,773) were due to ‘unknown factors’. Thanks to Timothy Good’ book, “Need to Know” P.172 Comments: When I chased a UFO we exceeded the red lined aircraft air speed by 20 knots. In the excitement of the chase it is easy to exceed aircraft capabilities and often some part of the aircraft may fail. Many stories are told of firing missiles and making direct hits on the UFOs that were unharmed only to have them return the fire and destroy the interceptor.
Lt. Chidlaw entered the Air Corps Engineering School at Wright Field, Ohio, and later directed the development of the United States’ original jet engine and jet aircraft. He spent most of his career at Wright Field which established Chidlaw as an expert on materiel, especially aircraft. He became chief of the experimental Engineering Branch, where he monitored the jet engine development. In March 1945, he took command of the Mediterranean Allied Tactical Air Forces and was promoted to major general the next month.
Chidlaw returned to Wright Field in July 1945 as deputy commanding general for operations of what became Air Materiel Command (amc). He was flown to Roswell, New Mexico at the time of the UFO crash announcement in July of 1947. In October 1947, he became deputy commanding general of amc, with rank of lieutenant general, and full commander on September 1, 1949. General Chidlaw was given the task to evaluate UFO sightings and his group agreed the phenomena was real and approved the Research and Development Board. It is likely his team attempted to back engineer and develop their own flying discs.
