UFO SPHERE SPOTTED OVER MANY TOWNS IN WASHINGTON STATE

APRIL 22, 1998 ……… WESTERN WASHINGTON STATE

From between approximately 2120 hrs. and 2130 hrs. (Pacific Daylight Time), one or more objects, variously described as a blue-green sphere, an oval of blue-green light, or a disc with six lights on it, was reported from multiple points throughout western Washington State. The object was reported to change direction of flight on at least three occasions, to execute a rolling maneuver on at least one occasion, to come to an almost complete stop in two locations, to reverse its general course of travel from south to north, and to change its appearance, including its color, on at least two occasions. One reliable observer witnessed the object to pass slowly over the center of Bangor Submarine Base on Hood Canal, approximately 20-30 miles to the west of Seattle, passing directly over the underground bunkers where nuclear weapons are thought to be stored.

Summary of Witness Reports:

1. Snohomish County, WA: A 16-yr. old male and his mother, located approximately 15-20 miles north of Seattle, witnessed a blue-green object suddenly descend from the sky, hover, and then accelerate to the south-southwest and disappear in that direction at approximately 2120 hrs. (PDT).

2. Poulsbo, WA: Larry Swanson, a former federal employee and computer specialist, who resides approximately ¼ mile from the northeast corner of the Bangor Submarine Base, allegedly witnessed a brightly lighted, disc-shaped object glide silently over the center of that military facility at approximately 2122 hrs.. The object tilted somewhat, so the witness was able to see the ventral side of the object quite clearly, he reports. A computer-generated graphic, provided by the witness, is shown above.

3. Auburn, WA: A man out walking his dog witnessed a perfectly circular, blue-green ball of light descend from north to south in the western sky at 2120 hrs. at a very high velocity.

4. Puyallup, WA: A man driving to work witnessed a striking blue-green ball of light descending at a 30-35 degree angle from north to south in the western sky at a very high velocity.

5. Shelton, WA: A young father witnessed a blue-green ball of light streak across the sky to the west of his location.

6. Oakville, WA: A mother and her two sons, driving west on State Route 12, located to the west of Interstate 5, witnessed a “disc shaped” object, imbedded in a cloud of blue-green light, streak from north to south in the western sky. The object appeared to “follow the contour” of the horizon, dipping down suddenly, and then rising up again during its rapid flight to the south. The object was reported to generate a peculiar “tail,” which streamed off the aft end of the object for a fleeting instant. All three witnesses believed they observed three lights on the top of the disc, and three lights on its ventral side, as well.

7. Steilacoom, WA: A woman witnessed a blue-green ball of light streak from north to south in the western sky at 2123 hrs..

8. Vancouver, WA: A husband and wife witnessed a blue-green ball of light move slowly from north to south in the western sky. Very peculiar appearance to the object, they reported, with a peculiar looking “mist” surrounding the object.

9. Portland, OR: A young musician witnessed a blue-green ball of light move from west to east in the northern sky from his vantage point in the city of Portland, OR.

10. Vancouver, WA: A male Ph.D. in computer science, driving north on Interstate 5 witnessed a blue-green ball of light, that seemed to him to descend vertically ahead of his automobile and hover momentarily above the highway. The witness added that he had experienced some very unusual emotional reactions to the event.

11. Yakima, WA: A law enforcement officer witnessed a blue-green ball of light moving at a very high velocity from south to north for approximately 2 seconds. During his sighting, the object suddenly changed its color from green to red. The sighting occurred at 2130 hrs., the witness thought. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

BLACK CYLINDER SHAPED UFO OBJECT WITNESSED OVER ARIZONA

NOVEMBER 14, 2014 …….. CHANDLER ARIZONA

I witnessed a black, cylinder-shaped UFO in Phoenix, Arizona. On 11/14/2014 at 2:15 pm, I witnessed a black cylinder shaped object floating in the sky at the Interstate-10 entrance on Chandler Blvd. in Arizona. I did not have a chance to pull over and study it very closely because I was waiting to turn left at a red light. From inside my car it appeared to be about 1 to 2 feet in length and it was vertical. I was about to turn left (west) on the I-10 freeway when I noticed the object in the North sky sitting low and motionless above oncoming traffic. It was definitely not a balloon. It was low enough to tell there were no strings attached and the object looked really solid. That is, it wasn’t bobbing or weaving like a balloon. At first I thought it might have been a drone but there were no propellers or wings. There were no lights on it that I could see. I couldn’t tell if it was making any kind of sound because I was in the car. There were no streetlights or power lines near it so it couldn’t have been attached to anything. However, there was a street light about 20 yards in front of it and it appeared to be hovering at about the same height, maybe a little higher. No one else seemed to notice it. That is, no one pulled over to take a closer look. Was this a drone? Has anyone seen something similar or am I going crazy? I’ll check again tomorrow on my way home from work to see if it’s still there. Although I doubt it, I drive the same route every day and this was the first time I’ve ever seen something like this. P.S. My mom has had multiple UFO encounters over the years. I’m in my 30’s and this is the first experience I have ever had. I’m usually the smug skeptic that rolls her eyes at these sorts of stories. Maybe I should change my tune. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

INCREDIBLE ABDUCTION STORY TURNS INTO A MIRACLE

WINTER 2004 ….. RESTON WASHINGTON

The following incident happened in the winter of 2004. I was living in Reston, WA at that time and was driving home from work at night. I turned off the Valley Freeway and started up Petrovitsky Road, passing Valley General Hospital at around 11:30 PM. I approached the crest of a small hill, looked ahead and saw an object in the air. It was a horizontal ring of red and blue lights, flashing from left to right in some type of sequence. It was about 75 to 100 ft in diameter and hovered above a grove of trees at the southeast corner of the intersection. I slowed down and drove on for about 30 seconds at the same time looking at the lights. When I reached the intersection, I turned left which put the UFO behind me. I continued to drive a short way turned left into the parking lot of my apartment building. I parked her car and looked toward the object. It was gone…but I then looked to the left and saw another UFO. It was a cluster of red and blue lights, about 25ft in diameter. It hovered about 100 to 150 feet off the ground, across the street about 200 feet from the car. I thought, “If it moves or drops, I’m getting out of here.” Then it began to move dropping in a falling leaf motion (back and forth) to an altitude of about 20 to 50 ft. It stopped and started coming toward me. Terribly frightened, I got out of the car and rushed to my front door. I noticed my headlights were still on…so I ran back to the car, closed the door and turned off the lights. After that, I only remember that after turning off the headlights, I left the car and ran for the front door about 75 feet away. When I reached it, the UFO was gone. This incident left a deep and disturbing impression on me for over a year until I decided to seek professional help. I underwent a series of regressive hypnosis sessions in which I revealed (as recorded) that as I sat in the car it suddenly was filled with a bright white light. The next thing I knew, I was standing in a dome-like room, about 15 ft wide, with white, very smooth floors, walls and ceilings. An arched doorway was in front of me as well as a desk-sized white box with a huge number of colored lights on a dark field. A long white table perched on a single pedestal was also behind me.

I stood there calm, but kind of bewildered and absently reached to unbutton the collar of my dress. The next thing I knew, the garment was at my feet. Two beings came through the door. They were about 4 1/2 to 5 ft tall with thin upper bodies, long, sloping shoulders. They seemed unable to straighten their arms completely. They had four, rather short fingers and their heads were large and long. They had round eyes and their noses were very thin. Overall, their faces looked human though they had no hair. They were dressed from neck to toe in blue and purple metallic fabric with high, thick collars. On the upper left chest of their uniforms there was a small insignia, a triangle inside a white circle that seemed to glow. They grasped me by the upper arms and guided me to the table. I wasn’t frightened as the aliens gently pushed me down on the table. I sensed a third person in the room. He was like the other two, but wore a red orange uniform with a black stripe around the neckline. He put a long silver object to my eyes and then placed the other end on my abdomen. He then moved it around a bit, removed it and then left. He came back a short time later and the three beings stood around the table. “What is the purpose of this?” I thought. “You are progressing physically and mentally as planned and are very receptive to us,” they responded by telepathy because I don’t remember hearing voices. They added that they were “pleased with my training…it was time for me to leave”. I didn’t want to go, but they assisted me off the table. I put my dress on, then they said, “You will see us again” and the next thing I knew I was back in my car. In October 2007, I was diagnosed with stomach cancer which had spread into my liver. I was given only a few months to survive. I wondered if maybe these beings were actually angels who had warned me that I would see them after I passed away. The day before Thanksgiving, I was feeling very ill and decided to stay in bed. I knew I didn’t have much time left to live and the pain was getting unbearable. As well, I hadn’t been able to sleep for days. I darken the room with heavy window shades hoping that I could relax enough to sleep. As I lay on the bed looking at the ceiling of my bedroom, staring at a small spot of light that had seeped through the curtains. I continued to look at the light when suddenly the entire room started to glow with a very bright white light as well as a low humming sound. I tried to sit up but was unable to move…though I still felt the constant pain in my abdomen. I closed my eyes thinking I was dreaming. After a few seconds the sound stopped, so I opened my eyes…the room was again dark, but then I heard that familiar voice in my mind “we have come back as promised…have hope. Rise so you may train your own kind”. I got out of bed and had no pain whatsoever. In fact, I really felt wonderful and enjoyed my Thanksgiving holiday. A few days later, I was in the hospital for a scheduled CT scan. I was feeling remarkably well and told my physician that I had no pain for several days. After a few hours of waiting for the results, I was starting to worry because it never took this long to get results previously. After a while, I was called into the physician’s office for consultation…he seemed perplexed. “You are in remission and it actually looks like the tumors are decreasing in size”. This was totally unexpected. To make a long story short, I have been in remission since that time and the tumors are no longer there. There was one tumor that needed to be removed surgically, but the others simply vanished. I am sure it was the result of that “visit”. But I still wonder what “training’ I received and who I will be “training”. It’s obvious that my life was saved for a specific purpose.

TWO ALIEN DISC OVER ROYAL AIR FORCE BASE IN ENGLAND

JULY 1977 …… RAF BOULMER , NORTHUMBERLAND ENGLAND

This personal report references the UFO Casebook case file, RAF Boulmer Reports of UFO Sightings were Hushed Up, July 1977. I witnessed this episode along with some friends. I’ve never spoken publicly before about it but feel I should put this on the record. I was aged 12-years old at the time and was playing with a skateboard my friends and I made out of a plank of wood and an old pair of roller skates in Meadowriggs, Alnwick Northumberland. Meadowriggs is right at the top of the town and has clear views across the countryside towards RAF Boulmer which is about five miles from the town. At the time the base had highly visible radar arrays which you could see clearly from Alnwick. On the night in question, it was still light and the sky was clear, but it was heading towards sunset. There was a low moon in the sky, making it appear bigger. I remember that its colour appeared more red-gold than bright white and it seemed to merge somewhat into the sky itself which across the horizon was red and yellows. I like sunsets and that’s why I looked at the moon – I was waiting my turn for another go of the skateboard – and the beautiful moon was the first thing I saw before I then noticed the discs. I shouted to my friends to take a look and they saw the two big discs in the sky. From our perspective standing at the top of Meadowriggs the moon was above RAF Boulmer and the two discs were above the moon. The discs were not flat – as if you were looking at a plate side on – but if you were looking at a plate face on.

The discs were brighter than the moon, and seemed to be shining from their own light, sort of luminous. They just hovered there not moving and my friends and I speculated what they could be. One of my friends M. (now unfortunately deceased from cancer) lived just across from where we were playing. We ran and pointed out the discs to his father who suggested that they were most likely something that the RAF was doing. I think he suggested they might be some new kind of flare or something. He went back to his gardening and we went back outside and had another good look at the discs. What I remember is one of these discs suddenly moving up and down in the sky above the base on a vertical plane. The other seemed to just hover in the same spot. This one – the hovering one – suddenly seemed to zip at extreme and incredibly high speed from my perspective off in a roughly westerly direction. The other stayed for a few more moments before it too took off at extreme high speed. The whole episode lasted for maybes half-an-hour; (it is difficult to say how long they were there because I don’t know how long it was before we first noticed them). I recently contacted two of my friends who were there with me J. and A. at the time of the sighting. They remembered the incident, but I do not know if they would be willing to go on record about this (I would appreciate it if their names were not used without their permission. I can ask them if you are interested if they would be willing to talk). Being youngsters at the time we kind of dismissed the whole episode and continued playing on our home made skateboard and it didn’t frighten us or really faze us either. Although we did speculate they were UFOs, M.’s dad’s explanation was semi-accepted.

Information on RAF Boulmer

In 1940 a decoy airfield was set up near the village of Boulmer to divert German attacks from nearby Royal Air Force (RAF) airfields such as RAF Acklington. As the air threat to the United Kingdom receded, the decoy airfield, with its grass runways and plywood and canvas Hurricanes, was abandoned. In March 1943 RAF Boulmer was re-opened as a satellite airfield to house the advanced flights of No. 57 Operational Training Unit RAF (a Supermarine Spitfire training unit based at RAF Eshott, Boulmer’s parent unit). During this period, there were three tarmac runways and a unit of the RAF Regiment defended the Station. In November 1943 RAF Boulmer became home to No 9 Battle Training School, in which night flying, dive-bombing, strafing, bouncer, and chase tactics were taught. As the war ended the airfield closed, reverting to agricultural use. Part of the airfield formed the basis of a caravan site with the runway and taxiway being used as an access road to the site. The site remains and is called Seaton Park. (wikipedia).

SEPTEMBER 25, 2014 ……….. KELSO AUSTRALIA

I was sitting outside in a chair in the yard observing sky as there has been a few strange events occur over the last few months that we have witnessed, however this is the first that we got photographs of and was the third time this object appeared, there’s been a couple of different ones since we’ve had this happening. My family members had travelled to see us on holidays so I was looking nightly hoping they could witness one of the objects also. At around 10.30pm the object appeared from the SE around the 25 degree mark, it just appears out of nowhere. It is noticeably brighter than the stars and planets and moves in various directions, up, down and from one side to another, not great distances across the sky however and it travels at various speeds, sometimes slow, others fast and at times appears to remain stationary, it didn’t go higher than approximately the 40 degree mark. When looking through binoculars it looks spherical like and emits many different colours and appears to spin and turn which makes it appear to change shape also with all of the different light patterns it emits. The colour of the object itself was olive/silver colour. It at times also would just fade out altogether and then reappear. With the naked eye it looks almost star like when they change colours when they are just above the horizon level but it is far more visibly noticeable. We watched it for approx two hours all taking turns to look through the binoculars as it was clearer to see what it was doing.

My mother was too scared to look through them to start but totally amazed once she did to see the movement of it as it spins which you don’t see without them. We weren’t sure either whether there was more than one or it was splitting into two or three or if it was just our eyes playing tricks because of the lights it was throwing out. My niece and nephew who she bought up were very excited and were giving us a commentary every time they got the binoculars. My 3 children present also were giving narratives of the other events we have witnessed since July as a few different things have happened and not always the same objects. We’ve lived here for 12 years and never seen anything up until a few months ago and spend many nights outside around the fire and in the pool and looking up as the kids play spot the satellites, this has been out of the ordinary. We all attempted to take video footage with our phones, various types, however they didn’t take very good pictures at all let alone footage. My daughter got her Olympus Tough model tg-820 and stabilised it on my car roof and other surfaces during the event and took multiple photos. No stars would show on her camera screen, we thought maybe due to distance and not being a powerful camera, this object was the only thing that would display. We were amazed at the photos as she was taking them as there was colour trails in some, from where they object had moved. We stopped watching it when the children advised they were tired and we went in to put them to bed After approximately 5 minutes we went back out and it was still there. So we observed for a little longer and then went to make a cup of tea and it was gone when we went back out. There were no clouds in the sky at all during the course of the event that evening and lots of stars out so we knew it wasn’t an obstructed view that made it disappear, we looked/waited for it for around another ten minutes in case it appeared again and then decided to head into bed. It was not until the next day that we all got to look at the photos on the computer where they were much larger and we were able zoom in more to see what she had captured and none of us could explain what it is. We are hoping you may have an explanation or have seen this before. KENS NOTE: The witness submitted 6 photos and this one was the best. Its apparent there is structure to this unknown object in the sky.

MYTERIOUS ORBS AND LIGHTS SEEN ON FLIGHT FROM SEATTLE TO DALLAS TEXAS

NOVEMBER 14, 1997 ……. FLIGHT FROM SEATTLE TO DALLAS TEXAS

I am writing you because of something I saw (along with a friend) while flying into Dallas Friday evening. The more I have thought about this the more I knew I should write down what I saw. I was flying from Seattle to Dallas on Flight 18 Friday Nov. 14th. At about 6:35-6:45 P.M. Dallas time, about a half hour out of Dallas/Ft Worth we were high above thick cloud cover. There was a full moon out and the clarity above the clouds was good. As we looked out ahead and to the east (port side of the aircraft), I noticed few lights out ahead of us. I presumed they were other aircraft coming right at us since the lights did not blink like wing lights but as the head lights do at times. There were two such lights and they looked far off but being at night it was hard to tell just how far. I watched for a long time watching other aircraft with blinking strobe lights passing in various directions. these lights (the identifiable aircraft with blinkers) were much smaller in size to the constant lights. What started to seem strange was the fact that the original two lights which were constant began to appear to be closer the nearer we flew, not farther apart as it should be is we were approaching them. Also what seemed strange was the fact that at no point did there appear any other lights such as a green (starboard) or red (port) lights with these two constant lights. I watched intently as I saw a normally lit and identifiable aircraft fly perpendicular to the main light on my left that I had been watching. The identifiable aircraft approached extremely close and behind this light. The light was not a distant star or light on a hill or a beacon as my mind raced to start to explain what I was seeing. The time span now is maybe 15 full minutes of watching these lights. We were approaching these lights which was apparent since the lights were now directly to the port side of the aircraft and no longer in front of us. As we continued on, and our approach to Dallas caused as to slightly alter our approach, these lights became directly to port from us and even closer and seemed to rise higher above the cloud layer than before. I had mentioned the lights to my companion several times since I first spotted them when I had described them first as two aircraft with their headlights on. At this point I saw a third light low in the cloud cover below these two lights. This third light was hazy as if slightly in the clouds and also seemed larger and closer to us. It had shape to it, almost like it was like a soft cube shape (a cube with rounded corners and puffed up sides. It was not just light). I was seriously questioning that these lights were anything I had seen before. I had made several comments to my friend trying to explain what I was seeing since I knew they were not aircraft like “these have to be beacon lights” or “maybe they are power lines” always to be followed by, “but we are too high for that”.

I said to my companion that she should look at the lights. Right about then, I leaned back as we passed the lights. My companion leaned over me and looked now back slightly aft and to port through the windows and said to me “You mean those lights that look like a triangle?”. I looked out the window again and now saw that indeed there was three distinct lights, not blinking above the cloud cover in a triangle formation. The third light had indeed come out and was well above the clouds. As we continued to move towards Dallas and begin our decent, the lights remained in a triangle formation even though we continued make a left turn towards the Dallas/Ft Worth airport. In other words, even thought they were in a triangular formation while we looked at them to port, they remained in a triangular formation as we viewed them to aft. Within a few minutes we were descending into the clouds and I lost sight of the lights. I have thought a lot about what I saw and discussed it with my companion who also saw them. These were stationary lights at our altitude during normal flight approach about 35-45 mins out of Dallas or slightly higher (with the exception to the third light) which would put them at least 25-35K feet. The lights were stationary since while we approached they were in front, as we continued they were to the port and then aft of us as we passed. There were initially two constant lights very far apart when first viewed and only slightly brighter and very much closer to each other 30 minutes later when joined by the third light from the clouds. the lights did not seem to move but were stationary though they must have moved since they were closer to each other after viewing them for 30 minutes than at first. I am a 42 yr old businessman in Seattle (your town). I work as a real estate broker. I was a concert promoter for many many years and have flown hundreds of thousands of miles. I have a good grasp of astronomy and can identify the moons of Jupiter with my binoculars and Venus along with my favorite constellations. I grew up with a pilot as y best friend and have logged hundreds of right seat flying in small aircraft so I have an appreciation for what aircraft look like at night and during the day. Though I do listen to Art Bell and have read many books on Roswell and a few about other UFO’s, I am not a “believer”. I am a curious observer. With thousand s of hours of staring at the skies, of flying all over this country many times over during night and day, I have never seen anything that wasn’t identifiable, at least after 5-10 minutes of viewing. These objects were viewed by me for nearly 45 minutes non-stop and I have no explanation that meets any test I put to it. I have replayed the tape in my head over and over. I keep seeing the aircraft passing behind the main left light. I keep seeing the two lights far apart and them seeing the triangle shape after the appearance of the third. I see the third boxy light shrouded ion the clouds then see it clearly in view above the clouds. These objects had to be moving, but in such a way that they seemed stationary. There were no additional lights associated with these white lights. there were no strobes with these lights. While other aircraft came and went from Dallas and appeared across the sky, these lights seemed to sit still. I had to finally admit I saw something strange and unexplainable with my resources. I guess in a way, I wanted to live in denial that I saw anything weird at all, but in the end, had to write this down and send it off as a statement of my very best recollection of what I saw. AMAZING UFO OBJECT REPORTED BY MANY TOWN ON LONG ISLAND N.Y.

NOVEMBER 18 AND 19, 2014 ………… LONG ISLAND NEW YORK

On November 18th and 19th I received reports from people living in Deer Park and West Babylon. The two towns are only a few miles apart and are located about 5 miles from the south shore coast of Long Island. The people who called from both towns told me the exact same thing. They all witnessed a bright light in the night sky that would stand still in the sky above the normal air traffic lanes shinning mostly a very bright white until suddenly it would start to move quickly to the left and right or shoot up in the sky or straight down much lower to the land while it changed colors to a neon pink, red or yellow and back to white. It would become standard again for a few minutes and suddenly once again move into action making long huge letter S shapes leaving a comet like tail behind it as it moved at incredible speeds. The object was seen and watched from dark and throughout the night on both nights. I asked if anyone reported it to the police or any type of agency. The response was sad to hear as I was told they did not know of any responsible source to report it to, did not want the ridicule of the police or media and instead looked up a fellow New Yorker on the inter net and called or emailed me. They were trying to take photos or video with their cell phones but to date I have not had anything sent to me. The people were watching this display by this object using binoculars, telescopes and rifle scopes. Using these items they say the maneuvers and speed of this object were amazing and unlike anything they had seen before. I had a call from another older gentleman last week who reported another UFO sighting also in that area of Long Island in the town of Lindenhurst which is also located on the south shore about three miles from the coast. This man was standing at the end of his driveway putting out the trash for pick up the next day when something in the sky caught his eye. There at about the level of normal air traffic coming from the east at incredible speed came a perfectly round orb that was a neon blue color he had never seen before. He told me the closest thing he could relate the color to would be the new bright L E D lights used at Christmas that shine especially bright and in colors not usually seen. The object flew from the far east end of Long Island across his town and headed towards New York City at an incredible speed.

The man worked for years at a Long Island airport and told me he was certain without question it was not like anything or any color he had ever seen before and traveled at a speed that would not be possible for today’s aircraft’s. The man also reported it was silent and perfectly round without any break in its form or color. The last Unidentified Flying Object report occurred also on Long Island in the town of Huntington and came from my own husband. He was working outside in front of our garage last week. It had just become dark and he was standing in the middle of our very long driveway that has a clear view of the night sky. He was standing there thinking about how he was going to go about the project he was working on and glanced up to look at the stars. He realized that among the stars and normal night sights stood two very bright very round lights that looked like headlights only spread out a bit too far. As he looked at them he realized they were moving in formation but would stop and simply hover before once again in perfect alignment start moving again. They would move right and left until they seemed to pick a direction they liked and move along across the sky in that manner. My husband noticed immediately that the only light was solid and white. There were no flashing or colored lights of any type on the two objects moving across the sky. He watched for about 60 seconds and looked away to blink as his eyes started to bother him from the bright lights. He only looked away for a second however when he reopened his eyes to focus once again on the two objects they were gone. They were nowhere at all in the sky to be found. The October / November time of year has always been a very active time on Long Island for sightings of unknown objects being seen in our skies. So far it appears this fall season is following the past with reports being seen once again of crafts, orbs and lights we cannot explain. FIRST RECORDED UFO SIGHTING IN THE U.S.

MARCH 1639 ….. BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS

America’s first recorded UFO was sighted late one night over the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts. Lights sped back and forth across the Charles River from Back Bay Fens to Charlestown. Governor John Winthrop made an entry in his journal regarding this strange event. This account was later published in The Journal of John Winthrop, 1630-1649 (John Harvard Library) The witness and incident were described as follows: “One night in March of 1639 James Everell (“a sober, discreet man”- Winthrop) and two companions boarded a little boat and set out for a trip on the Muddy River in Boston. They had been moving downstream for about a mile when the night’s mysterious events began. The three men were suddenly confronted with the appearance of a huge, bright light hovering in the sky. The light “flamed up” as it hovered and appeared to be about “three yards square.” As they watched, the light “contracted into the figure of a swine” and moved “swift as an arrow” in the direction of Charlton [Charlestown]. For two or three hours, the unidentified light moved back and forth in the sky between Everell’s location and Charlton. When the light finally disappeared, the men noticed to their dismay that they had somehow been carried against the tide back to the place where they had started their trip! Governor Winthrop noted, “Divers[e] other credible persons saw the same light, after, about the same place.” Governor Winthrop appears to have been puzzled by the occurrence, devoting no less than two separate notes about it in the index to his history. The first merely gives a lengthy rendering of the sobriety and piety of the primary witness James Everell (“a good man of reputation, activity and good estate”) and another detailed note speculating whether the sighting was due to “demonic influences” or was ghost lights or will o’ the wisps (an early version of swamp gas). It’s worth noting that the figure in the sky appeared to turn into “the figure of a swine.” Everell was a leather dresser, meaning he worked with the hides of animals, tanned them, and turned them into leather goods. The “swine” or pig was the only shape in his mind that he could relate to. A far as legs of the swine, is it possible that these were struts or landing gear of a craft?

Winthrop’s account also claims the event lasted two or three hours, which rules out any chance of the object being a meteor. 1638 was almost 150 years before the first balloon flights, so the possibility of the object being man-made is also ruled out. The witness also claims that their small boat was pushed back against the tide about one mile (back to where they first set their boat in the water) while they watched the object in the sky. Could this be a “lost time” phenomena? Were they physically moved by the object in the sky? Could it be they were mistaken as to the tide because they were distracted by the unidentified object in the sky? This UFO close encounter may have been more close than originally thought. As to Winthrop’s trust of the witness, stating that he was “a sober, discreet man” he also included a footnote about Everell: “He was a man of reputation, activity and good estate in Boston many years afterwards. With his wife, Elizabeth, he had been received into Boston church 20 of July, 1634, being Nos. 239, 240. His will, made 11 December, 1682, proved 2 February following, is found in our Probate Registry, vol. VI. 400.” The following footnote about the sighting was added in the 1825 edition of Winthrop’s Journal: “This account of an ignis fatuus [pale light over marshy ground] may easily be believed on testimony less respectable than that which was adduced. Some operation of the devil, or other power beyond the customary agents of nature, was probably imagined by the relaters and hearers of that age, and the wonder of being carried a mile against the tide became important corroboration of the imagination. Perhaps they were wafted [carry lightly], during the two or three hours’ astonishment, for so moderate a distance, by the wind; but, if this suggestion be rejected, we might suppose, that the eddy [whirlpool], flowing always, in our rivers, contrary to the tide in the channel, rather than the meteor, carried their lighter back.” Muddy River is located at Back Bay Fens, opposite Cambridge, MA, and diagonally across from Charlestown. Back Bay wasn’t filled-in at that time, and a large area of open water existed in the river that was then called Broad Bay. The distance to Charlestown would have been more than two miles. The Charles River, prior to being dammed, had great tidal flow, and would drain much of Back Bay each day, and then replenish it. Muddy River likely had a larger volume of water flowing through it in 1639, but it is unlikely that a great eddy existed near its mouth. Thus, it is unusual for witnesses to assert they were unmoved by tidal flow (in a small boat) for more than two hours. Muddy River, the hamlet, eventually became the separate town of Brookline. Pigs and other cattle were stored there during summer while corn was growing in Boston. It is safe to deduce that the UFO witnesses had seen or heard swine on the same day they observed the great light. Thus, the lights resembled a common animal, making it probable they saw ignis fatuus mirage phenomena in the darkness. In any case, the event was observed by divers (many) people, and noteworthy enough for the Puritan Governor to document it in his private journal. It’s also interesting that Winthrop, an overtly religious man, would summarily dismiss any supernatural origins to the story he heard. Perhaps a glowing, flying pig didn’t fit into his understanding of scripture, so his thoughts didn’t go in that direction. Besides the one paragraph and two footnotes, Winthrop writes nothing more on the subject of North America’s first UFO sighting and possible alien abduction. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

MANY REPORT STRANGE SHAPED UFO CRAFT OVER ARIZONA

MARCH 13, 1997 ……… PAULDEN ARIZONA

The first call received over the UFO Hotline was from a former police officer, who called to report that he and his family had just witnessed a bizarre cluster of red lights moving very rapidly across the night sky in the vicinity of Paulden, Arizona, (approximately 30 miles north of Prescott, AZ) at about 8:16 p.m. (local time) on Thursday night, March 13, 1997. The man who called, a rational, sober-minded and eloquent sounding person, described having witnessed with his family a very strange cluster of distinctly red-orange lights, which consisted of 4-5 red lights “in the lead,” followed by a single light which appeared to be “standing back from the others.” The lights in the lead gave the impression of being in a “V” formation, somewhat like a wedge or boomerang in shape. That was the first of many dozen calls that were received over the subsequent two days. Subsequent calls then started pouring in to the Hotline from locations to the south of Paulden, AZ. The next calls received were from the vicinities of Prescott and Prescott Valley, approximately 50 miles north of Phoenix. Several individuals called from that vicinity to recount that approximately 8:17 p.m., they witnessed 4 or 5 very bright white lights pass overhead. Several of the observers reported that the object appeared to be triangular in shape, with a somewhat complex grouping of lights along its sides. One of the observers in Prescott reported that the orientation of the distinctly white lights appeared to change while she and her family were observing the object. However, the lights formed a distinctly triangular pattern in the sky. Another observer was standing outside with his wife and sons in Prescott Valley, when they noticed a cluster of lights to in the west-northwest of their position. The lights formed a triangular pattern, but all of them appeared to be red, with the exception of the light at the nose of the object, which was distinctly white. The object, or objects, which had been observed for approximately 2-3 minutes with binoculars, then passed directly overhead the observers, they were seen to “bank to the right,” and they then disappeared in the night sky to the southeast of Prescott Valley.

Even though the night was very quiet, none of the observers described above heard any sound emanate from the object. All of them emphasized that the object “glided” through the sky, and made absolutely no noise whatsoever… All of the observers volunteered during their telephoned reports that they had strained their ears, trying to hear some sound from the object, but none was heard, which contributed to the eerie nature of the sighting. The next sighting was reported from Dewey, AZ, located approximately 10 miles to the south of Prescott. Five adults and youth were driving north on Highway 69 to an appointment in Prescott, when they witnessed a very large cluster of lights, which formed a “V” shape in the sky. The driver pulled off the road into a grocery store parking lot, and all the occupants got out of their car in order to get a better look at the object. By this time, the object was directly above them, where it appeared to hover for several minutes. The member of this group who called the Hotline reported that the object was so large that, if he clenched his fist and held it at arm’s length, he could not cover the size of the object with his fist! In addition, he reported that based on his flying experience, he estimated that the object was not over 1,000 feet above the ground. He emphasized that there was absolutely no sound emanating from the object—it was absolutely silent, and it was moving at a very slow pace, considerably slower for example than a light aircraft would have been seen to move at that (assumed) altitude. He added that he could see a small, private aircraft in the vicinity of the object overhead, and that the aircraft appeared to be heading in the direction of the Prescott airport. More about this aircraft is described below in the description of the alleged interception of the strange object by F-15’s farther to the south. One particularly noteworthy aspect of this observer’s report is that he had called both Prescott Airport, and Luke AFB to report the sighting. The female operator at Luke AFB volunteered to him that their switchboard had been deluged with reports about the strange object. Later statements from Luke AFB alleged that they had received no calls about the object.

The next calls to arrive were from Chino Valley, Tempe, Glendale, Phoenix, Kingman, and Tucson. Many people called from those areas, far too many to describe in detail. One of the most interesting reports, however, was from a young man, who identified himself as an “amateur astronomer,” who resides in west Phoenix. His description of the object, which he saw to the west of his home, appeared to be a cluster of solid, unblinking lights, which moved in an unwavering procession from the north to south. He could discern, he thought, that each of the individual lights in fact was two smaller lights. Also, he reported that he observed two aircraft in the vicinity of the object, one of which appeared to turn away from the object to the west, and the other which turned to the east. Another interesting report was submitted by a young mother, who stood outside her home, located in Phoenix approximately 1 mile south of Camel Back Mountain, and watched the object with her children for 5 minutes. She reported that the object was directly overhead her house, and that it was larger than her clenched fist when held at arm’s length! The object appeared to have lights along its sides, such that the lights gave the viewers on the ground the impression of a “boomerang” or “arrowhead” shape. After approximately 5 minutes, the object began to move slowly to the south. However, before the object disappeared from sight to the south, it appeared to “fire” out to the front of it a red beam of “laser light” for an instant. Then, as it moved slowly to the south, the lights of the front and sides of the object seemed to dim and fade from sight. There were no lights visible on the aft end of the craft as it moved away from the observers. The object just disappeared from sight in the southern sky. The object was next seen in Tucson, where a man watched the formation of lights for what he estimates to be 15 minutes…from 8:45 to after 9:00 p.m., he estimates. He reported to us that the lights had come from the northwestern sky, maneuvered overhead for 5-10 minutes, and then moved off to the south in “nose to tail” formation, disappearing from sight as they moved over the mountains. The last location to report was Kingman, AZ, where a young man, enroute to Los Angeles, called from a phone booth to report having seen a large and bizarre cluster of lights moving slowly in the northern sky. FEBURARY 27, 1993 …….. LOUIEVILLE KENTUCKY

Two Jefferson County air unit police officers — described by their lieutenant as “solid guys” — swear they had a two-minute dogfight with a UFO during a routine helicopter patrol Friday night. Two officers on the ground said they, too, spotted the object. The UFO — a glowing pear-shaped object about the size of a basketball — literally flew circles around the helicopter, even though the fliers say they were moving at speeds approaching 100 mph. In one blinding moment when both craft were hurtling toward each other, the UFO shot three baseball-size fireballs out of its middle, all three officers said. The fireballs fizzled into nothing. Officers Kenny Graham and Kenny Downs haven’t talked much about their Friday night flight over General Electric Appliance Park because they fear few will believe them. But they are convinced they weren’t hallucinating.

“We both go to church every week,” Downs said as a way of explaining how normal the two normally are. “In fact, I might start going to church twice a week.” Officer Mike Smith, in his squad car below, said he saw the object for only about a minute. But he confirmed the UFO shot three fireballs into the air and then disappeared. Officer Joe Smolenski said he tried for more than a minute to catch up to the object in his squad car. “I’ve been looking for ’em for 14 years, and I guess this is the closest I’ve come to something I couldn’t explain.” Lt. David Pope, who was roused out of bed at 12:30 Saturday morning by a call from the startled officers, attested to their sanity and sincerity. “These guys are totally solid guys,” Pope said. “There’s no doubt in my mind there was something out there.” The night started out like every other night. Graham and Downs got to work around 6 p.m. and were soon in the air flying a routine patrol. Graham, 39 and an 11-year veteran, was the pilot. Downs, 39 and a five-year veteran, was the spotter. While in the air, they received a call about a possible break-in near Sanford Avenue and Buechel Bank Road. They flew off and quickly reached the area, which is near the northeast coner of Appliance Park, around 11:50 p.m. As they circled, Graham saw something that looked like a small fire off to his left. Dozens of bonfires had been lit around the county that night by revelers delighting in the new snowfall. But Graham soon decided i! wasn’t a fire. Downs shined his 1.3-million-candlepower spotlight on the object, which began to drift back and forth like a balloon as the light washed over it. Then it gradually floated up to the helicopter’s elevation about 500 feet above the ground, where it hovered for a few seconds. “Then it took off at a speed I’ve never seen before,” said Graham: an experienced pilot. The object made two huge counter-clockwise loops and finally approached the helicopter’s rear. Graham, afraid-the object would ram his tail rotor, pushed his speed above 100 mph. The UFO shot past them and instantly climbed hundreds of feet in the air. It descended again and flew close to the helicopter. Graham tried to close the gap with the object, and it again flew away. As the UFO approached on a parallel course, the three fireballs burst out of its core.

Scared, Graham banked away from the object. “When we came back around, it was gone,” Graham said. When the two returned to their base, Graham called the control tower at Standiford Field to ask if their radar had spotted anything unusual. It had not. Downs called the county’s radio dispatchers to ask if anyone else had reported sightings. No one had. But the two did get confirmation from two officers on the ground, one of whom was Smith. “I have no idea what it was,” Smith said, but his confirmation cheered the two fliers. “It makes me feel better,” Downs said, “that there are… grown men out there who are sworn to protect this community and who saw the same thing.” – UFO Evidence

POSSIBLE ALIEN ABDUCTION IN DOVER MISSOURI

NOVEMBER 1, 1995 ….. DOVER MISSOURI

A few months ago my fiance and I were watching a movie, I’m not sure what it was but there was a scene in the movie with a UFO. We got into a conversation about it and she asked me if I had ever seen a UFO. I proceeded to tell her the same story that I’m about to tell you that I had never told anybody because to be quite honest. As I was telling her the story, memories were coming to me that I had completely put in the back of my mind. In 1995 I lived in a small town called Dover, Missouri, about 60 miles east from Kansas City. I was living with a girlfriend at the time and her brother. My girlfriend worked the night shift so I would stay up late at night and wait for her to get home in the morning. For some reason we decided to go to Concordia Missouri to a truck stop for coffee. The truck stop was about 25 to 30 miles away from where we were. My girlfriend’s brother was driving his car and I was riding in the passenger seat. We left the house about 12:30 or 1 o’clock in the morning, and proceeded to drive east on Highway 24 leaving Dover towards the exit to go to Concordia. My girlfriend’s brother had some god awful rap music playing in the car and I was looking out the window watching for deer. As I am looking out the window he is talking but I’m really not paying attention to what he is saying because I see a bright light about a mile ahead 200 feet off the ground ahead of us. I was able to gauge the distance because I could see beyond the water tower that I was familiar with at an orchard on 24 Highway. I could clearly make out the red light was flashing on top of the water tower, and this light appeared to be just off to the side of it and above it. I watched the light for about a minute or two and I asked him if he saw what I saw. I can only describe it as a ball of light that changed colors. As we got closer I noticed that it was not moving it was stationary side by side with the light on top of the water tower. Keep in mind this water tower is in the middle of nowhere there are no buildings around for at least 15 to 20 miles besides the barn that was on the opposite side of the road and is about half the height of the water tower. I remember telling him its not moving its not moving. We stopped the car to get out and look at it and it started to move. This is the point of the story where my fiance asked me what happened next and to be honest until she asked me that question, I never thought about it, and I do not remember what happened next. My next memory is turning south onto the side road off of 24 and I’m not sure but I believe that it was much later when we arrived at the truck stop around 3 a.m. but it seemed perfectly normal to us at the time and remained that way until the night I was with my fiance 19 years later. As I have thought about it more the last month or so I remember flashes of images but I do not trust the images are accurate because as I said, I’m not sure what happened. MANY STATES REPORT STRANGE CRAFT IN THE SKY

MARCH 15, 1995 …… CANNIS CITY FLORIDA ….. JACKSON TENNESSEE …… WASHINGTON D.C.

Traditionally, the Center identifies a given sighting by assigning to it the name of the nearest city, or other geographical feature or landmark. It the case of the cluster of sighting reports we received over the Hotline on the evening of March 15, l995, so many states and cities were involved, we are going to borrow a line from Shakespeare regarding the possible perils of that date… The first call we received was from Cannis City, FL, reporting that two males were walking along railroad tracks near that town and were stunned to see a luminous, white disc-shaped object streak across the sky, pass below or near several aircraft in the night sky, appear to ascend back up into the sky, and disappear to the north. The report seemed to be sincere, and bore several of the hallmarks that the Center knows to be characteristic of legitimate reports. However, it was so much like so many other reports the Hotline receives on a regular basis that we were not yet alerted to the possibility that other reports were soon to follow… The third call we received minutes later from a gentleman in Jackson, TN, who reported witnessing a blue-green “cloud of light” hovering in the night sky. He had seen it streak from the northwest beneath, he thought, almost solid overcast, hover for approximately 30 or 40 seconds, during which time he could almost see some kind of object apparently imbedded in the cloud of light. The object then began to drift generally to the southwest, the caller reported, at which time it belched out a large “cloud” of sparks, and then streaked southwest, quickly disappearing from sight.

Minutes later, we received a call from a sergeant in the Missouri Highway Patrol communications headquarters in Jefferson City (“Troop F”). The officer had been on duty that night at his station on the east side of Jefferson City, when together with two Jefferson City police officers, he witnessed an intensely bright, green light hover in the sky over Jefferson City for approximately 5-7 seconds. The object began to descend slowly, at which point its color changed to yellow, and then it simply disappeared from sight instantly, like a light being switched off. The patrol officer reported that their “911” emergency dispatch telephone line had taken many reports from citizens regarding the same object, and one caller reported that his cellular phone and radio went dead while the object was near his vehicle. While I was speaking with the patrol officer, another call came in from a retired commercial airline pilot, who resides in Vienna, VA. He and his wife were driving back to their home in Vienna, just a few miles west of Washington, D.C., after having picked up their daughter at National Airport. Their daughter is an airline pilot for the same airline that her father had flown for, and from which he had retired. As they were driving west (at a heading of approximately 250 degrees magnetic) on Westford Avenue (?), approaching the exit for Chain Bridge Road, the father and daughter both simultaneously observed an bright object, apparently at some distance from them, streak down out of the sky almost directly ahead of them, descending at approximately 70-80 degrees from the horizontal plane. They both expected to observe some kind of explosion when the object reached ground level, but nothing happened! Rather than explode, the object simply disappeared from sight–uneventfully– when it reached the horizon… The next call came from Fairmont, WV, perhaps a hundred miles (or more) to the northwest of Vienna, VA. A young woman called to report that, after visiting with her mother in Westover, WV, she had just sat in the driver’s seat of her car to leave, when a bright light had streaked silently over her car at a breath-taking velocity. She added that as she glanced up at the light, she thought she could make out the outline of an “egg-shaped” object imbedded in the orb of bright light. The back portion of the object was bright yellow. Many other calls were received that night, and over subsequent days, regarding what appears to us to be the same sighting. Thousands (!) of calls reportedly were received by radio stations and “911” facilities in St. Louis, MO, after the object passed over that city, and we received two very convincing call from western Illinois, as well.

In summary, it appears that one or more egg-shaped objects, radiating intensely bright green, blue-green, and yellow light, and periodically spewing out a cloud of sparks, streaked over at least seven states, stopping from time to time, and the whole event occurred in a matter of minutes!! I would like to close discussion of the case by extending congratulations to Mr. Tom Eckhardt, and the other UFO investigators, of the Acteon Group in St. Louis for their excellent investigation of this case. From our vantage point, their investigation and documentation of the events that occurred over their state on March 15 was second to none, and we are grateful for their wonderful written report regarding the incident. AUGUST 18, 1962 …… NELLIS AFB NEVADA

There is evidence that a UFO crashed in the desert surrounding Las Vegas, Nevada on August 18, 1962…specifically, near Nellis AFB. Thought to be nothing more than rumor, reports and statements from eyewitnesses slowly started to emerge. Eventually, researchers started digging for more information. The object was first spotted over Oneida, New York and was heading in a westerly direction. There were also reports of the object in Kansas, Colorado and Eureka, Utah. The object was the seen in the town of Reno, Nevada and was seen to ‘turn’ in a southern direction where it disappeared over the Nellis Air Force Base. The object was also tracked at several radar sights. The object was reported by over a thousand people, most of whom, assumed that the object was a meteorite. Various newspapers covered the story the following morning although most of them concluded also that it must of been just a very spectacular meteorite. However, Air Defense Command, after watching the object for several hours scrambled several fighters. This was a highly unusual act since meteorites never cause such a response. It was claimed the object came down near Eureka, and at the same time the town experienced a total blackout. However, the object was then seen to take off again, and as it did the power came back. The object was also seen at various times by several commercial airline pilots who reported that the object was below them, again unusual for a meteorite. The official Air Force explanation was that the object witnessed was a meteor. However, this does not explain why flights were scrambled, or why the object changed course and later appeared to land and then take off again. Like many of the reports of UFO crashes, the Las Vegas case was overlooked by most of the UFO research community. Frank Edwards, who mentioned the Roswell case in a single paragraph in his 1966 book UFOs and Flying Saucers: Serious Business wrote more about the crash near Las Vegas in his 1964 book Strange World. According too Edwards, an object sighted over Oneida, New York, continued westward. There were reports from Kansas and Colorado, and indications of something near the ground outside of Eureka, Utah. Something bright enough to later light up the streets of Reno, Nevada, like the noonday sun, and then turn toward Las Vegas, far to the south and hack to the east. It flared brightly and disappeared from the Nellis Air Force Base radar scopes at ten thousand feet. This was an object seen by thousands as it crossed the country. STATE TROOPER SPOTS UFO TRIANGLE OVER MISSOURI

AUGUST 2014 ….. JASPER AND NEWTON COUNTY MISSOURI

During a period spanning just over two weeks in early to mid-August of 2014, three UFO sightings were reported from Jasper County and adjoining areas of its neighbor to the south, Newton County. In this column and in the near future, my intention is to inform my readers on all three of them. (My personal investigation into one incident of the trio is still in progress, and additional information on the other two may also be obtained.) The first occurred at 5:12 a.m. on the morning of Aug. 2, and the lone witness was a Missouri State Trooper driving north on Rangeline Road in the course of routine patrol. (Margie Kay, the Mutual UFO Network assistant state director, who had interviewed him, provided a transcript which was then posted on the UFO Casebook website, one of the best.) The officer first observed an unusual light in the northeastern sky, not far above the horizon. His first thought was that he was seeing a helicopter, since it was obviously too low to be a fixed wing aircraft. Then as it got closer, he was able to make out a triangular or teardrop-shaped craft with illuminated windows in the upper portion, through which he could see indistinct movement that he assumed to be passengers or crew members. The craft was estimated to be in excess of 100-feet in width and perhaps a fourth of that in height. At its nearest point to the witness, a distance of approximately 50 feet, red and yellow lights of various sizes were noted on the underside and a low hum could be heard emanating from the UFO. There was also evidence of a minor electromagnetic effect occurring at the moment the odd craft abruptly pivoted to fly off back to the east (at an undescribed speed) until it was no longer visible. At the moment the UFO performed its 180-degree rotation there was an approximate 15 second burst of static from the car’s radio. Adding to the mystery was the fact that the patrol car was stationary in the roadway after the object departed, although he did not remember stopping or even intending to do so, and the encounter had not seemed to last for 15 minutes as the vehicle’s clock indicated. (Before we take off into any wild speculation based on these seeming discrepancies, it should be noted that the excitement of the encounter at such close range could have easily been the culprit.) Finally, in an element that is often reported in such cases, the trooper watched a jet come from the east, making a wide looping curve to the north before returning to the east. If it was not searching for the unknown craft, its presence and maneuvers were quite a coincidence. The investigation into this potentially important encounter is ongoing. MUFON is still delving into it, and I have put out “feelers” to some of my own reliable sources in the area in an effort to not only learn more about the trooper’s experience but to possibly locate other possible corroborating witnesses.

Less than two weeks after this undoubtedly unnerving encounter, a more typical event took place in the community of Sarcoxie, a relatively short distance southwest of the earlier sighting. The lone witness (gender not specified) had brought their dog outside and noticed a bright white light in the east-southeastern sky. It continued to grow in size until it reached the point of appearing as a luminous white sphere approximately one quarter the angular size of a full moon. (The witness’ wording seemed to indicate uncertainty as to whether the orb actually increased in physical size or simply appeared to from the object coming closer.) After moving a short distance to the south, the UFO reversed the process and became smaller and smaller until it was no longer visible. The entire incident had transpired in about one minute. A disc-shaped UFO was reported by an Alabama witness at Huguley. The mysterious object had two bright, tubular-shaped lights, according to the testimony filed at witness reporting database of Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). The report, which is lodged under Case 61372, states that the classic-shaped UFO hovered over nearby treetops. The witness first saw the object when he was eastbound on the street near Huguley around 3 a.m. on 2 November 2014. He saw the mysterious object going down at slow speed from the west. The object hovered above treetops along the side of the road for a few seconds. He said that during the strange event, he was on the straight part of the highway and no other traffic, so he clearly saw the object without distractions. The report says that the witness saw the white lights very clearly, which were side-by-side on the bottom of the UFO and appeared to extend its whole length. However, the witness admitted that he did not saw the outline of the craft because it blended with the dark sky. The witness described the temperature as cool and mild with 45 or 50-degree range and it was only partly cloudy during that time. The object hovered for perhaps 5 seconds before it went up into the southeast sky with tremendous speed and quickly disappeared, the report says. INCREDIBLE UFO ENCOUNTER AND POSSIBLE ABDUCTION

1980 EAST HAVEN CONNECTICUT

It began in my childhood home on one ordinary night and not unlike any other. My family all went to sleep and as I had done many times before, I got out of bed in the middle of the night. I quietly took my blanket and laid on top of the heater vent in the hallway. The vent came up through the floor in the middle of the hall at the top of the stairs. It was centered between four bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor where I would often fall asleep. This time I was awakened by what I thought was a young boy standing at my feet smiling at me. He was about three feet tall with dirty blonde straight hair. I thought that maybe my sister Janet had been sitting and the child woke up wandering. But then I thought it was probably a dream. because that didn’t make sense. So I rubbed my eyes but the child was still there. I did it again only harder and again he was still there. I remember thinking that I had to wake myself up. I rubbed my eyes two more times, still there. Only now because of the look on his face I started getting scared. It began to occur to me that this wasn’t what it seemed, so I ever so slowly stood up. He was looking right at me, and smiling with an uncanny knowing smile. Something in his expression seemed to me as if he was thinking “I know something about YOU!” Suddenly he started to move, he went around me from my right hand side to my left. As he passed, I followed him in through my mom’s open door at the end of the hall. There he stopped at the end of her bed while still looking at me. I slowly circled around him, making no quick or jerky moves. I didn’t want to arouse any suspicion of what I was about to do. I stood between him and the end of my mom’s bed. He was right under the hanging light switch. I was going to grab for the switch quick before he has a chance to react. “NOW!” I quickly pull the switch! The damn light blows out, but during the flash, I could see he or it was gone. I instantly leaped into my mother’s bed and frantically woke her so I could tell her. “Mom, Mom,” she’s like, “what’s the matter?” “I just saw a ghost at the end of your bed.” She says, “that’s because you’re so bad.” I was around 9 years old at the time and that was real encouraging. The next morning I told my brother but he didn’t believe me. He went upstairs with me to turn on the light, it was blown. “See, I wasn’t lying.” I first believed it was a ghost but later experiences brought me to the conclusion that it was more likely an extraterrestrial.

1982 …… NEW HAVEN CONNECTICUT

Now several years would pass and the next event would change me permanently. It was what I’ve heard referred to as a plasma UFO and now I began to think that someone was trying to get my attention. Now the first visual event of the little boy wasn’t a fluke anymore. Now I’m about 11 or 12 and WOW! What the hell is that in the sky, Venus? It must be a planet I thought. I’ve heard about these things before, colorful lights always turn out to be a planet. But it couldn’t be a planet because it’s too big and close and moving too weird. Let me back up about five minutes. I was just an average boy and there I was walking home as usual one summer night. When I got to my street one block from the shoreline I took a left at the Town Beach Park. It was a small dimly lit neighborhood park with a few picnic tables and a swing set area. My house was only four short blocks away. I walked another block where my street crossed the main road in and out of my neighborhood. There was never much traffic at night, except for area residents. When I crossed the street, something in the sky caught my eye. A very large multi-colored luminous cloud like object appeared. It was a clear star lit night with no clouds in the area. The object was about the same altitude as a low cumulus cloud so I would have to judge the size to be about a mile wide. It was slightly oval horizontally but not rounded. I would describe it as globular. It was what appeared to be a luminous plasma made up of about twelve different distinct but separate colors. They were each somewhat globular as well, forming the whole. Each of the colors was changing shape and size while adjacent colors would either contract or expand in response. There were no borders between the colors and they were bright, saturated and fluorescent in appearance like neon. The overall size of the entire plasma cloud didn’t vary during the expansion and contraction of the individual colors. It was completely silent and as you can imagine, I was stunned frozen. It was both amazing and beautiful, but what was it? I’d never seen anything like it before or since and I’ve told the story so many times I can remember it like it was yesterday. I seemed perfectly centered from left to right, beneath it and it was about 30 degrees south from directly over my head. This placed it over the shore of the Town Beach. There was nothing on that side of the street so my view was unobstructed. After about 30 seconds, the thing just shot straight back and disappeared into a clear sky full of stars. Then suddenly, as quickly as it shot away, it came straight back to the same exact position and size with all the colors in the exact same places they were. It was only gone for about ten seconds. The speed was astonishing it took less than a second or about a second to travel the distance. From about a mile across to hundreds or even thousands of miles away in one second, WOW! It took no more than a second to return too. I remember thinking, “this is weird and I don’t think it’s from here” but here it was again. This time it hovered for another 10 seconds beautiful and silent. Then again shot away for another couple seconds before shooting straight back to the same position and size. It went back and forth at the same speed 3 more times each time staying for about a second before shooting off for the last time. It was as if it was showing off its speed or something. I stood there still frozen for about thirty more seconds waiting for it to return. Then suddenly I was jolted by the realization of what I just saw. I instantly started running home the last three blocks faster than I’d ever run before. When I got home heart pounding, out of breath, I frantically told my older brother Frank, “I just saw a UFO!” The next day, my brother told me that in the paper that other people reported it and that it was gases escaped from a test rocket. That cover-story never sat right with me, I never heard of anyone testing rockets over populated New England towns. Anyway, since when does escaped gas take off and come back four more times before actually escaping? Now, what you should know is that the last contact was about a year ago which left physical marks on my person. Another thing is that a lot of very strange things have been happening to me since the first two contacts. These things probably number into the hundreds. However, it was the second encounter that altered my perception of reality. People have asked me if I was abducted, if it was aliens, if they did something to me? I don’t know if I was abducted I didn’t check the clock for missing time. I hadn’t heard the UFO missing time stories back then. From what I understand however from a contact investigator and from documentaries, altered reality and extraterrestrial contact go hand in hand. Many people who have reported encounters have also reported lingering or permanent altered realities. Increases in paranormal activity, increases in synchronicity, psi events and so on. Also it has made me much more open to spirituality. Anything to me is now possible including the possibility of a greater consciousness and higher states of existence. I also feel a silent invisible presence just observing me, an almost tangible entity just beyond my five senses. I know it’s there and I know it’s aware of that. I don’t know what it or they are or what it or they want but I can psychically sense an existence just beyond my physicality. One of the very conscious conclusions I took away from this event was that I believe that whatever it was I saw in the sky, was there for ME! The way I was directly centered from left to right and the way it shot back and forth directly from my angle of vision are a couple of the things that years later would lead me to this conclusion. The accumulative effects of other anomalies before and after are other reasons. I also came to the conclusion that it wasn’t a craft but an entity. I believe from the rest of what has happened to me since, that there is an agenda I’m supposed to accomplish.

The event took place in District Park, next to Energy Australia Stadium in Broadmeadow NSW at 19:40 AEST. While I was jogging in the park, I looked up at a 70 degree angle in a NE direction where a moving yellowish light shone at me and caught my attention. I stopped jogging, removed my earphones and stood there to observe this strange light. The stars were yet to be visible and the moon was large and bright. I was more aware of the sky that night because I knew the space station was going to be visible at approximately 20:10 AEST. I have previously observed satellites and the space station; this was neither. At first I thought it was a helicopter as the Westpac Rescue Helipad is right next to the park. When I realized there was no sound, I became more concerned. The light was rotating from left to right in sporadic motion while moving up and down as though searching or observing. When the light was directly above me I could see the light positioned on the side of a matte-black disc object approximately 40 meters in diameter and at a height of approximately 250 meters. I became terrified and fearful for my safety. The object continued on a general path of approximately 60 km/h towards SE direction, although moving in a jolted and intermittent motion. UFO CRAFT LINKED TO MASS BLACK OUT OF SEPTEMBER 1965

In a Nov. 19, 1965, Ontario Hydro Hydroscope article, system supervising engineer Jim Harris was at a loss to explain the incident. “It’s incredible! I would have said this was impossible if I hadn’t seen the evidence,” he said. Just two weeks before the blackout, on Sept. 22, 1965, in an article entitled “Many report seeing two UFOs,” the Gazette chronicled the activity near the power plants. “Dozens of persons Tuesday night watched two unidentified flying objects moving and hovering over this area for more than an hour,” the article stated. “The objects, bright lights which changed color, were below cloud level and remained at a fairly low level during most of the period they were observed. “Observers said the objects were not helicopters or conventional aircraft. At one point, about 8 p.m., the two objects, which had been widely separated when viewed earlier, approached each other on a collision course until they ‘teamed up’ and moved off close together toward Buffalo,” the article added. The objects were first sighted “on the Canadian side of the river, at a point opposite Lewiston.” In other words, over Queenston and the Sir Adam Beck plant. Among the witnesses named in the article were State Trooper John Riehl, Alden residents Roselle Simon and Leonard Butler, and V.D. Price and Raymond Bright, employees of the American Standard Division in North Tonawanda. “This was not a satellite. Satellites travel in straight lines and within a few minutes they are gone,” Bright told the Gazette. “This hung in the sky for about half an hour. It would move off in one direction and then stop. Then it would change direction and move off again.” The relationship between the blackout and reported UFO activity wasn’t lost on the scientific community. In a statement prepared for hearings held on the blackout by the Federal Power Commission, University of Arizona physicist Dr. James McDonald contended that magnetic fields accompanying UFOs could cause sudden power surges and could, theoretically, trigger a blackout. Writing about the event on April 2, 1968, Gazette reporter Joe Donaldson recalled the reports on the night of the blackout. “After the big blackout, spokesmen for the power firms denied a strange light was spotted over the Beck Station the night of Nov. 9. Since then, however, they have admitted that sightings were reported by hundreds of people,” the veteran newsman wrote. But gradually, the “broken two-dollar switch” theory as to the cause of the disaster became the accepted version of events. This would not mark the end of credible reports of UFOs in Niagara Falls, however. On Aug. 4, 1966, the Gazette reported “Bright, high-flying, fast moving objects observed during the night and similarly described by three Niagara Falls residents.” This time the witnesses were Mrs. George Haberle of the Parkway Apartments and 91st Street residents Russell Sorenberger and Bill Nelson. Ironically, attempts by the paper to reach Capt. Harry Meir, chief of operations and training at Niagara Falls Air Base, were unsuccessful because Meir had been in Erie, Pa., investigating another UFO report. Two Niagara Falls city policemen and a former Air Force radar chief had their own close encounters over a 48-hour period in August 1967.

According to an Aug. 25, 1967, Gazette article, the two officers, Patrolmen Anthony Caraglin and David Greene, saw a pair of UFOs while patrolling at 19th Street and Mackenna Avenue. They filed an official report of the incident. “We saw two objects in the sky — one object went in an easterly direction then went northeasterly. As the object went out of sight it appeared to give off different colored lights. While the object was in sight it was a solid white light and appeared to be round. “Object Two was the same as Object One but went from south to north and went out of sight. Both objects were in view for approximately 15 minutes and appeared to be very high,” the report stated. Howard Kay of Youngstown was working at DuPont that night. An eight-year Air Force radar chief, he told the Gazette the object he saw over the Niagara River near Buffalo Avenue looked like “an inverted cereal bowl and was lit up.” Perhaps predictably, USAF Information Officer Thomas White said he knew nothing about the UFOs. “I have checked with the U.S. Air Force Station in Lockport, and the 763rd Radar Squadron there reports no objects logged by their radar screens at these times,” he told the Gazette. Eight months later, on April 2, 1968, no fewer than three NFPD patrolmen reported UFOs from two separate locations The pulsating lights hovered for nearly an hour in the vicinity of the Beck Station, the officers said. Patrolmen Thomas Shumway and William Wells watched the lights from Lewiston Road and Hyde Park Boulevard. “They were like something I had never seen before,” Shumway told the Gazette. “They were in formation and they were pulsating.” Shumway said the red, white and blue lights did not come from an airplane and were motionless until they suddenly shot away to the northwest at a tremendous rate of speed. At the same time, Patrolman Richard Adkins confirmed the lights were hovering across the Niagara River from the Robert Moses Power Plant and near the Beck Station. He said the lights were about 1,000 feet in the air and that, from time to time, a red streak of light would pass through the formation. While strange lights are still occasionally reported in the Niagara skies, it appears that 1965 to 1968 represented something of a golden age for UFO sightings here. And in the presence of so much documentation and credible testimony by trained observers, it seems difficult to deny that something was going on. What — exactly — the mysterious objects were will likely never be known. It is interesting to note that the Air Force employed a device to disrupt electrical power in the city of Belgrade during the Kosovo war.
