At about 8:45 p.m. on February 9, 1967, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Guseman of Middletown, Delaware, were driving south on U.S. 13 toward Odessa.

They had just crossed a bridge over a canal when Mr. Guseman saw two lights near the road ahead and to their left.

The left light was green and the one on the right red. Suddenly two bright white lights came on between the colored ones. Thinking they were landing lights, Guseman said to his wife, “Look at the crazy plane trying to land!”

As the couple drew nearer, they could see the lights were stationary and attached to a large and unfamiliar object. Only the white lights were visible as they came up opposite to the object, across the highway from them.

It sat motionless just over the trees approximately 200 feet from them at an altitude of about 70 or 80 feet.

Mr. Guseman rolled down his left window and he and his wife studied the object more closely. It was disc-shaped with a kind of cupola under the main body.

Its width was estimated at about 50 feet and its height at about 20 feet at the thickest point.

Except for the top, the object was clearly visible, a dark gray silhouette against the lighter sky. The surface was smooth and the bright white lights appeared to be searchlights affixed to the front end.

The beams of these lights were wider at the ends than at the source and only the source of the closer beam was visible, the other being hidden by the body of the object.

The rather squared cupola, or “gondola” contained a horizontal row of windows which gave forth a faint soft light, steady and uninterrupted by any forms or movement.

The light was described as “yellowish” by Mr. Guseman, “pinkish” by his wife. On the bottom of this gondola, in the center, were three red lights which shone with an even intensity.

For about two minutes the couple watched the object as it hovered motionless. Several cars and trucks passed on the highway, but none slowed down or appeared to take notice.

Then suddenly the two forward beams of light began to swing upward until they were pointed at a 45-degree angle from horizontal, shining upwards and out into the night sky.

As soon as they reached this new position, the object began moving in a forward direction toward the north, and to the left of the witnesses. As it moved, the Gusemans heard a soft hum or buzz, similar to the sound of an electric motor.

The UFO proceeded in a slow, straight trajectory at an even altitude and as it changed its angle of perspective relative to the viewers’ position, it presented the same circular, disc-shape with the undercarriage and windows below.

After moving approximately two or three hundred feet to the north over the trees, the UFO seemed literally to disappear.

They assumed it had dropped down into a field beyond the tree-line, but when they drove near the field to check further they saw nothing; nor could they find any evidence on the ground where the UFO had hovered when they searched it with a flashlight.

Guseman, 29 at the time of the sighting, is president of the Delmarva Contracting Company, Middletown; his wife is a business administrator in Wilmington Memorial Hospital.

Their sighting was investigated by NICAP staff members Stuart Nixon and Isabel Davis and they were later questioned further at NICAP headquarters by Dr. James E. McDonald.

STARTLED DRIVER HITS ALIEN ENTITY WITH HIS CAR IN OHIO

David Morris, 19, a factory worker in Kent, Ohio, was driving home to Munroe Falls from work early in the morning of March 28, 1967.

At about 2:30 AM, while driving west along Little River Road, he topped a small hill and suddenly saw an orange-glowing object ahead of him.

It was in a field to his left, on the south side of the road, and was apparently hovering several feet above the ground. He described it later as a cone-shaped object about 25 feet tall and 12 feet wide at the base, with a small sphere on top.

As Morris slowed his car down for a better look, he saw four or five small figures scurrying quickly back and forth across the road, about 50 feet ahead of him.

They appeared between three and a half and four feet tall, and they gave off the same soft orange glow similar to the object.

Morris quickly slammed on his brakes but, unable to stop in time, struck one of the beings as it crossed the road to his right.

He heard a thump at the moment of impact, and saw the being’s raised hand as it was struck. He saw no fingers on this hand.

The car traveled another ten feet before it stopped. Morris turned and looked around, his hand on the door. He saw a group of little figures standing as if clustered about something lying on the road and, suddenly frightened, he sped off.

He did not report the incident to the police because he was convinced that whatever he struck had not been human.

The next day Morris found dents in his right front bumper that had not been there before. He mentioned the story to several of his co-workers, one of whom was acquainted with a reporter for a local newspaper.

This reporter alerted NICAP, and the incident was carefully investigated by Charles E. Toner and Roy Wiley of the Pittsburgh NICAP Subcommittee on several subsequent occasions.

In addition, Carol Clapp, the reporter for the Ravenna Record-Courier, did extensive checking on the case and provided NICAP with additional details. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

MANY WITNESSES TO A CLOSE ENCOUNTER ON A LAKE IN CANADA

At the time of this story, Millman was working for the Nation Research Council of Canada. He received the facts of the case from the Department of National Defense.

The two people, who gave their report to Canadian officials, have asked to remain anonymous, for fear of ridicule. It was on June 18, 1967 that their case begins. Taking a nice, peaceful boat right down a northern Ontario lake, Mr. and Mrs. G. were visiting friends, and began their ride back to their cabin.

As they are enjoying the moonlit night, they were suddenly shocked to see a brilliant object of unknown object. This object was simply hovering about 50 feet above tree level, and approximately one-quarter of a mile away from them. Slowing their boat down, they make a turn to get a full view of this strange object.

As they sit in wonder, suddenly the object begins to pick up speed, racing straight toward them! Regaining his composure, Mr. G revs up his 75 horsepower motor, and gives it all it’s got, heading to the lake’s shore.

The distance between themselves and the object allows them just enough time to arrive on the bank. They quickly exit the boat. Looking back up into the sky, they see the object has taken back it’s original position. After a few minutes of time, Mr. and Mrs. G decide to try a return trip back down the river to their neighbors’ house.

Shortly after launching into the water, the object again makes a move to descend upon the two terrified witnesses. Again outracing the craft to the shore, the two ditch the boat, and run to another house, loudly and excitedly rousing their acquaintances.

Their friends would later state that Mr. and Mrs. G were honestly and profoundly frightened to death by what they had seen.

Now there were several more witnesses to this unusual, brilliant object..just hovering above the trees that surrounded the quiet waters of the lake. They watch the object for another 10-15 minutes until finally it races into the night to the west-northwest.

Knowing that they had seen something quiet extraordinary, they make a full report of the incident. This unusual occurrence was meticulously detailed by Canada’s National Defense team. Other details derived from a thorough questioning of the witnesses revealed several important facts.

The object, though it did not show a light of any kind, caused the trees to move below it, as it hovered. The craft was distinguishable from the moon, as both objects could be clearly detailed simultaneously. The object was a traditional oval shape with a dome on top, estimated at 25-30 feet across, and 10-15 feet tall.

Though the object rapidly streaked through the sky, no sound was heard by the witnesses, nor other guests at cabins in the vicinity. One guest did observe that at about the time of the incident, he was listening to his radio, when it suddenly went dead. Later in the evening, it was working fine again.

The investigative team discovered a number of broken, wilted limbs directly below where the object had hovered. An analysis was made in Winnipeg, and the results of that examination was that no reasonable explanation could be offered for the damage to the tree limbs.

The report also stated that the limbs showed signs of heat, and the samples contained no diseases or insect infestation. This is a classic case of an encounter of the second kind. This case was very well documented, and the object was listed as unexplained. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

The 55-year-old snap of Nasa reveals a UFO spaceship observing the Mercury probe sent during the space exploration’s formative days. This proves that the aliens are watching humankind keenly.  Waring found the presence of a disc in the photos from the Mercury project that took place in December 1960. He says that it is not surprising that aliens have shown interest in watching the historic moment related to human history as the capsule did not carry any human. Hence, there were no worries that the aliens could have been seen.

The photograph shows the earth in the background while the UFO is observing the activity of the Mercury capsule. The Mercury-Redstone 1A on December 19, 1960, was observing the activities of a UFO when an Nasa staffer snapped the photographs.  Only one or two photos reveal the presence of a classic disc having a wedge cut out.  Project Mercury was the first ambitious US mission in which six manned space flights were also included. As a part of the mission in February 1962, a manned space flight was sent making John Glenn the first American to orbit our planet.

I’m turning to you so that maybe someone else has had a similar experience and can help me, because I feel like I’m going crazy. I live in Pearland Texas, a suburb of Houston.

A few days ago, early morning of the 12th of September, I awoke with with strange visual (what I at first thought were hallucinations or that I’d been possibly drugged. The ceiling appeared to have swirling colors of pink and a greenish blue.

I looked to my right and saw something in my bathroom. It was small, I thought maybe a squirrel or raccoon had gotten in the house. I closed the door to trap it, but upon a closer inspection, nothing was there.

I heard what I thought were voices and strange noises coming from my neighbors’ yard. From my window, it looked like my neighbors were building a very large tall bench swing, there was a red color coming from this area.

I thought that the neighbors were maybe playing with lights of some sort and that this may have been the reason for the strange colors in my bedroom. This all happened around midnight. I wanted to find out what was possibly happening next door so I went downstairs.

As I was reaching the stairs I noticed an unrecognizable symbol on the wall that seemed to be made of blue light. When I touched it, it felt warm. This light also cast a blue reflection on the white enamel paint of the bannister.

I realized that this could not have been a reflection from next door because of the lack of windows in my staircase. When I got outside, it was quiet. I asked “hello” and didn’t get an immediate response.

The air felt staticy and it felt as though if I touched anything that I’d receive a shock. When I peered through the fence I saw ten black spheres; Four on top, three below, then two and one, like an inverted triangle.

It rose slightly, then the top left sphere broke away from the others and came towards me. At first I panicked and could not move. As I looked into this sphere, it had an iridescence to it that made me feel calm when I looked at it.

I do not remember going back to my room, I just remember being there. I noticed the clock said 1:45am. I also noticed some dried crusty blood around my right nostril. The room still had those two strange colors moving all around the surfaces of the walls and ceiling.

Not understanding what was happening, I jumped into bed and buried my face in the pillows. I woke the next morning with the distinct feeling that this was real and not a dream. There were still bits of dried blood in my nostril and for a few days after, the area just to the side of my nostril still hurt.

Deep under the skin like when a pimple is coming up. Then it went away. I know this happened to me, everything inside me says it was real.

I have no way of explaining it and I have no real way of filing it away in my mind like you would with a normal experience.

I was enjoying the fact that we were having some clear weather with partly cloudy skies. This was rare for us having constant daily wildfire smoke exposure for months on end, We often get low cloud cover over the Rolling Hills Estates location. I have a top floor apartment in a 5 story complex. My line of sight to the object was not obscured. However, I had a lot of difficulty focusing on the craft when I first spotted what I thought could be a blimp. What I thought I was seeing, was a eggshell or cream colored oval like a giant Go game piece with a pewter colored dull metallic base. I left my balcony window to find my binoculars. When I returned seconds later I saw the craft was gone. The cloud cover was very thin and the craft was nowhere to be seen. Now i was very disappointed. Next thing that happened was that it showed again….slightly closer to north skies but still over the Green Hills location. Object moving very very slowly while flickering or shimmering, much like a mirage even though the hill would not have been generating so much heat that day to cause heat waves. Before I could raise my binoculars to my eyes, there was an explosion of pinpoints of light expressed much like the way you would see points of light in a planetarium…but this was broad daylight mind you. What I first saw were these pinpoints of light randomly dancing or moving randomly. I had a feeling that was I was seeing was sentient communication. I asked the question out loud “What are you guys up to?”. The randomness then changed and the dancing of light looked more like a display of spermatozoa all swimming against the skyline. I laughed to myself and thought this was a whole new meaning for “pan-spermia”. As soon as I grasped the concept of fertilization, the lights shifted to a fixed positioned grid equally distant from each other and not dancing at all. I took this to mean that they were everywhere and all over the planet. At this time I was growing somewhat weary of the brightness I was witnessing. The last thing I saw was each point of light then returning to some location in the stratosphere. The lights gave the impression of returning from where they came from after the work was done. At this time I had to sit down for a spell and thought to myself the whole experience to be very simplistic in communication but overwhelming to the senses. I was fatigued and struggling to recoup from the snow blindness I was experiencing. I returned to the balcony with my cell phone to record the skyline as i was able to barely tune in and out some of these lights. Of course I have nothing on camera to show. The sighting of lights became harder and harder to focus on until I could see nothing out of the ordinary. And the original craft sighted was gone as well. I did some searches on the web and could find no buzz on the internet about my location on the date of occurrence. I was going to set this event aside and try to forget about it until I saw Coast Guard footage of a 1966 sighting over Catalina Island. The grainy footage in slow motion showing the craft blinking in and out of view was perhaps the same thing I was seeing before the light show started. It looked exactly the same. Now I am becoming a little obsessed with 1966 and what witnesses may have reported first hand. I will try and nail down the sighting date if I have any search history left from that day. I was in a flight home from Japan, August 20,2018. We were a few hours into the flight to Chicago O’hare airport when a flight attendant, noticeably frantic, came walking down the aisle. Pretty much everybody was asleep with windows closed except me, watching a move with window open. The flight attendant was looking at every window, almost jogging to the back of the plane, saw my window open and sternly said, “Close the Window!” And hurried down the aisle. No please, thanks, etc. just a demanding tone. It Was weird because it was pitch black outside so couldn’t see anything anyway, but baffled, I closed my window. About 5-10 minutes passed and my curiosity forced me to open the window and the sky, for miles, was lit up by these glowing spheres of light. They were red, blue, green, and yellow, suspended above, below and in the clouds spread out over miles. The lights were so bright I could see the reflection on the ocean below. We were passing the last of the group of lights and I was able to dig out my phone fast enough to be able to get a picture. Took several but only one was useable and I couldn’t get a good angle to snap anymore. The camera made the picture really dark, but the lights were very bright and intense. Had the woman not told me to close my window, I would have been able to get solid video. The lights did not move, blink, dim, shiver or anything, it’s like they were huge Christmas lights just hung in the clouds. After about 10-15 minutes the woman came walking back to the front with none of the worry she had before. I could most likely pick that woman out of a line up today. I emailed a huge YouTube channel about it (which I will include in this) the day after, but never received any help. I’ve posted several times in various places, but not a single person has helped. I can’t find any photos or stories, in two years of searching, of anything remotely close to what I saw. The one and only time I found relevant information, was a couple months after, I was laying down watching tv about strange phenomena and they showed a picture from a planes cockpit flying through clouds that showed exactly what I saw. I know it was travel channel, discovery or history channel, but can’t remember the shows title and have never come across it again despite my constant searching. So that’s the only other photo/evidence of exactly what I saw, that it is out there if I could only find it again. The first is the actual image, 2-4 are of the exact email I sent the day after with a photo of my return flight ticket, 5 is the screen capture of the photo with the exact time and date I took it.

One of the very last cases reported to Bluebook that was labeled as unidentified occurred in Meridian, Mississippi.

Philip Lanning was driving south of town, on the evening of July 10, 1967, when his car coasted to a stop and the radio faded.

Lanning got out and started to look at the car engine, when an enormous object flew over his head about 300 feet in the air. The object was silent and moving to the east. Lanning thought the object was about to crash.

Just before the object reached a group of nearby trees, it tilted upward, turned right and then accelerated at great speed straight up into the low-flying clouds.

The object was described as being ‘like a cymbal on a drum set and was a dirty metallic gray in color on the underside’. He saw no portholes or hatches and said that it appeared to the size of house.

Lanning wasn’t sure who would be interested in the report, but he felt that it should be sent to someone in the US Government, so he forwarded it to a friend in Navel Intelligence. The Air Force eventually received it and began an investigation.

They were impressed with Lanning as a witness as he was a former military officer who had received a great deal of training. After extensive research and interviews, the Air Force was forced to label this sighting as unidentified.

ATTEMPTED ALIEN ABDUCTION IN 1896 LODI CALIFORNIA

Over 60 years before alien abduction claims became mainstream, two people were nearly abducted in Lodi, California.

Colonel H. G. Shaw, along with his friend Camille Spooner, had a close encounter with previously unknown entities, traveling with their UFO in 1896.

Shaw was in charge of putting together an exhibition to be displayed at a Fair in Fresno.

Shaw and friend were traveling by horse and carriage in route to Stockton, when their horse froze with fright.

To the two men’s shock, they saw the cause of the horse’s actions; three tall alien looking beings with small delicate hands at the end of their spindly arms stood by the road. They had no hair on their heads, yet a soft, light fuzz over their bodies. Large eyes made their small mouths and ears appear even smaller.

The two eyewitnesses would later tell authorities that the beings had a “strange” type of beauty to them.

All of the beings carried with them a bag of some kind with a hose which they often stuck in their mouths, obviously to breath with. Although there was still some daytime left, the beings also carried with them egg-shaped lamps which glowed. This glow would later illuminate a waiting spaceship.

As the men watched the aliens, the beings were communicating with each other by a type of chant, as no English words were heard by Shaw and Spooner. The men would tell authorities that the aliens made an attempt to abduct them, but that the large difference in mass between the human and alien body thwarted the effort.

Soon, the three alien beings made a move toward a nearby bridge. Using their other worldly lamps, the aliens lighted up the bridge, showing a nearby craft. The UFO was of a cigar shape, and it hovered quietly over the water.

The beings seemed to be almost lighter than air as they moved toward their craft. It seemed that the aliens would almost leave the ground as they walked on the earth.

The beings entered the hovering cigar UFO in a most unconventional way also. They sprung up from the ground and above their craft, and then floated down into the craft through an unseen entry. Soon, the object flew away.

Shaw later told investigators that, in his opinion, the craft had come from Mars, a common theory for the time. This unusual case occurred on November 25, and was reported by Jenny Randles, in “Alien Contacts and Abductions.” NOTE” The above image is CGI.

I was driving our VW bus going back east on the southern route. My family was asleep in the back. No traffic was on the road. I saw the UFO about a 1/4 mile away, parallel to me. It seemed to be scanning the desert with beams of light. I saw it, and noted to myself that it was probably a UFO. Instantly it was right next to me, about ten feet off of the ground, moving east parallel to me. It was silver metal in color, and had a cigar shape, but slanted down at the ends. It had a band of yellow light about three feet wide, running the entire length of the ship. Within the band of light, as it pulsated or swirled around the ship were large porthole windows that were stationary. In seconds a tall, Aryan looking being appeared in the porthole and looked at me, acknowledging my presence. Moments afterward, several small gray aliens with large eyes came to the porthole and also looked at me. I initially thought about stopping to experience them. I became frightened and decided to keep driving, because I worried about the safety of my wife and child. The ship allowed me to get away without following me further.  A man was watching a YouTube video which was listed as being 10 minutes in duration. He sensed that something came through the basement where he was watching the video. He came to 3 hours later not knowing what had happened. There were other people in the house, but they were all upstairs. The other people in the house didn’t see anything unusual. The man said that he felt like he has been “watched and followed” for sometime which has caused him to be quite frightened. The next day the man’s next door neighbor came by and showed him a photo of a triangular object that he saw in the sky. The photo was taken during the time that the witnessed experienced his time loss.

Observed red lights through the trees coming up the river from a southerly direction heading North. My seven yr. old saw it first, and asked if it was a car. I turned and looked at the road, and he said, “No, up there”. We all turned and looked up and saw the object through the trees. Object made no sound. Object appeared to be rectangular. Would light up all red light, then totally black, light up all red, then totally black. Object came into our full view after passing trees in front of us. Object was approx. 150-200 ft. above the water, maybe more. We had a clear view of the object for at least 5 minutes. Object was observed by two adults aged 50 and 48, and 3 children aged 7 and 10. We had plenty of time to observe and rule out what we knew it wasn’t, It was no plane, propeller or jet. It was not a helicopter. There was no sound at all. Just all red to black. I would guess object was maybe 50 ft. or so, hard to say. The only way I came up with that size is by comparing it to boats I see on the river. I would guess it was maybe 200 ft. above the water, our house is on a hill above the water, so the object was very clear and only a little above us. It was about 200 yards away in the air. It went straight, came level with us and slowly turned to it’s right and went in an easterly direction and just went that way until it went out of our view. Made no sound, I cannot guess it’s speed, but way too slow for a plane. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

What did I video, in space last night, with my Nikon P1000 camera. Notice the 5 spokes within the wheel. It did not move and was stationary like a star or planet, which I thought it was. It was straight up in the night sky and was one of the brighter objects next to some stars. I have video and photos of it from around a half hour period. Was going to see if it was in the same spot last night, however there was complete cloud cover. I thought it was a star when I zoomed in on it with my Nikon P1000 camera on full zoom. It does not seem like a lens flare as it has the same position of the spokes and holes in every photo, video and zoom range. I posted it on Facebook and Twitter yesterday and no one knew what it was. The footage is unaltered straight off the camera and you can hear the crickets and my AC unit in the background, and a train in the background of the first video. Here are two separate videos. The first one I was having difficulty zooming in. Every time I zoomed in too close the object would literally start to fade away. You can see the outer band rotating clockwise if you move one frame at a time, while the inner 5 spokes stay stationary. The second video I didn’t zoom in as close and kept in frame as I slowly zoomed in.

In central Montana, Thursday morning March 16 1967, the E-Flight Missile Combat Crew was below ground in the Echo-Flight Launch Control Center (LCC) or capsule. During the early morning hours, more than one report came in from security patrols and maintenance crews that they had seen UFOs.

A UFO was reported directly above one of the E-Flight Launch Facilities (LF) or silos. It turned out that at least one security policeman was so frightened by this encounter that he never again returned to security duty.

A short time later, the Deputy Crew Commander (DMCCC), a 1st Lieutenant, was briefing the Crew Commander (MCCC), a Captain, on the flight status when the alarm horn sounded. Over the next half-minute, all ten of their missiles reported a “No-Go” condition. One by one across the board, each missile had became inoperable,

From there on, as an ex-Missileer describes it: “All Hell broke loose!” Among the many calls to and from the E-Flight LCC one was to the MCCC of November-Flight which links to the equally dramatic story of what happened in another LCC that same morning.

In this case we have shutdown of strategic nuclear missiles coincident with UFO sighting over a missile silo! These were missiles lost to America’s nuclear deterrent forces.

NOVEMBER-FLIGHT

The following section is as told by Robert Salas who was the DMCCC in N-Flight that morning. My recollection is that, while on duty as a Deputy Missile Combat Crew Commander below ground in the LCC, during the morning hours of 16 March 1967 I received a call from the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in charge of Launch Control Center site security.

He said that he and other guards had observed unidentified flying objects in the vicinity which had over flown the LCC a few times. He could only distinguish them as ‘lights’ at that time.

I did not take this report seriously and directed him to keep observing and report back if anything more significant happened. I believed this first call to be a joke.

A few minutes later, the security NCO called again. He was now agitated and distraught saying that a UFO was hovering just outside the front gate. I directed him to secure the fenced area. As we were talking, he had to go because one of the guards had approached the UFO and had been injured.

I immediately woke my commander from his rest period and started to report the phone conversations. Immediately, our missiles began shutting down from ‘alert’ status to ‘No-Go’ status in rapid succession. None of the four or five missiles which faulted came back on line. Some signal had been sent to the missiles which caused them to go off alert status.

After reporting this incident to the Command Post, I phoned my security guard. He said that the man who had approached the UFO had not been injured seriously but was being evacuated by helicopter to the base. Once topside, I spoke directly with the security guard about the UFOs.

He added that the UFO had a red glow and appeared to be saucer shaped. He repeated that it had been immediately outside the front gate, hovering silently.

We sent a security patrol to check our LFs after the shutdown, and they reported sighting another UFO during that patrol. They also lost radio contact with our site immediately after reporting the UFO.

We were relieved by our scheduled replacement crew later that morning. The missiles had still not been brought on line by on-site maintenance teams.

Again, UFOs were sighted by security personnel at or about the time Minuteman Strategic missiles shutdown.

THE INVESTIGATION

An in-depth investigation of the E-Flight incident was undertaken. Full scale on-site and laboratory tests at Boeing’s Seattle plant were conducted. Both declassified Strategic Missile Wing documents and interviews with Boeing engineers who conducted tests following the E-Flight Incident investigation confirm that no cause for the missile shutdowns was ever found.

The most that could be done was to reproduce the effects by directly introducing a 10 volt pulse onto a data line. One conclusion was that the only way this could be done from outside the shielded system was through an electromagnetic pulse from an unknown source.

NATIONAL SECURITY

During the events of that morning in 1967, UFOs were sighted by security personnel at the November Flight LCC and at one N-Flight LF, and by other security personnel at Echo-Flight LFs. These sightings were reported separately to the capsule crews at both LCCs at or about the same time Minuteman Strategic missiles shut down at both sites.

USAF has confirmed that all of Echo flights’ missiles shutdown within seconds of each other and that no cause for this could be found.

For many years, the Air Force has maintained that no reported UFO incident has ever affected national security. It is established fact that a large number of Air Force personnel reported sighting UFOs at the time many of our strategic missiles became unlaunchable.

The incidents described above clearly had national security implications. In one previously classified message, SAC Headquarters described the E-Flight incident as: loss of strategic alert of all ten missiles within ten seconds of each other for no apparent reason and a “…cause for grave concern…(to SAC headquarters).” (emphasis ours)

There is a great discrepancy between the United States Air Force’s public position relative to UFOs and national security, and the established facts of this case. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

Night of 12/14/20 at roughly 11:30pm I went outside my home to attempt to observe activity from the Leonid Meteor Shower. A few minutes in I observed at object shimmering/pulsating to the South of my home at a high elevation. Watching the object over a 25-30 minute window I observed it moving diagonal as well as north to south over its flight path, as well as hover for durations of time. It’s movements and pulsating light were like nothing I’ve ever seen before. In way could this object be confused for conventional, military aircraft, drones or helicopters. Their was no sound from the object. I took photos of the object with and without a flash, as well as recorded two 40 second videos of the object showing it in relations to the stars in the night sky as well as discussing its movement. The unflashed photo showed an object without any common mechanics of planes, etc. ask the flashed Verizon should the auro surrounding a spherical object.

This case is under investigation by Bob Spearing, State Section Director for MUFON New Jersey.

Saw cylindrical object with thicker fore and aft sections that were larger diameter than middle section, with blackish details (which may have been shadows) on silvery metallic surface areas. Noted immediately it had no wings. No control surfaces such as tail rudder or elevator. First viewed in Northeast flying in straight line toward me at about the same height and speed as a small plane, then at closest point almost directly overhead. Sun was going down in west so object was in full light. Only saw it because I had been observing particularly interesting cloud formations of several different kinds. In an exclusive feature for The Debrief, U.S. military and intelligence officials, as well as Pentagon emails, offer an unprecedented glimpse behind the scenes of what’s currently going on with The Pentagon’s investigation into UFOs, or as they term them, “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” (UAP).  

For the last two years, the Department of Defense’s newly revamped “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force” (or UAPTF) has been busy briefing lawmakers, Intelligence Community stakeholders, and the highest levels of the U.S. military on encounters with what they say are mysterious airborne objects that defy conventional explanations. 

Along with classified briefings, multiple senior U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the matter say two classified intelligence reports on UAP have been widely distributed to the U.S. Intelligence Community. Numerous sources from various government agencies told The Debrief that these reports include clear photographic evidence of UAP. The reports also explicitly state that the Task Force is considering the possibility that these unidentified objects could, as stated by one source from the U.S. Intelligence Community said, be operated by “intelligences of unknown origin.” 

Significantly, a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general and head of RAND corporation’s Space Enterprise Initiative has—for the first time—gone on record to discuss some of the most likely explanations for UAP. His responses were surprising.

BRIEFINGS AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS 

In June, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s FY2021 Intelligence Authorization Act contained an intriguing section titled report on “Advanced Aerial Threats.” In the inclusion, the committee gave an eye-opening official hint (in recent history) the government takes UFOs seriously by offering its support for the “efforts of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force at the Office of Naval Intelligence.” The Intelligence Committee additionally requested an unclassified report detailing the analysis of “UAP” or “Anomalous Aerial Vehicles.” 

Though already acknowledged by the Intelligence Committee, in mid-August, the Pentagon formally acknowledged they had established a task force looking into UAP. In a press announcement, the Secretary of Defense’s Office stated, “the UAPTF’s mission will be to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security.” According to the release, authority for the Task Force was approved by the DoD’s chief operating officer, Deputy Secretary of Defense David L. Norquist. 

The summer news of the establishment of the UAPTF seemingly suggests—for the first time since the shuttering of Project Blue Book (the Air Force’s official investigations into UFOs) in 1969—that the Pentagon is now taking the subject of UFOs seriously. 

However, an internal email obtained by The Debrief shows that almost one year before the DoD’s announcement, the highest levels of the U.S. military were already being briefed on UAP. 

The email, obtained via Freedom of Information Act request, shows an October 16th, 2019 exchange between then Vice Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Robert Burke, and current Vice Chief of Staff for the Air Force General Stephen “Steve” Wilson. 

In the email, Adm. Burke tells Gen. Wilson, “Recommend you take the brief I just received from our Director of Naval Intelligence VADM Matt Kohler, on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).” Adm. Burke concludes the email, “SECNAV [Secretary of the Navy] will get the same brief tomorrow at 1000.” 

The “SECNAV” referenced in Adm. Burke’s email was then-Secretary of the Navy, Richard V. Spencer. A little over a month after this UAP briefing, Spencer was fired by then-Secretary of Defense Mark Esper over public disagreements stemming from a series of controversies involving the court-martial of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher.

Speaking on background, one U.S. Defense official lamented that a lack of continuity with DoD leadership might have hindered some of the UAPTF’s work. Within the past 24 months, there have been four different Secretaries of the Navy and five additional Secretaries of Defense. Vice Admiral Matt Kohler, noted for having provided the briefings, retired after 36 years with the Navy in June of this year.

Reaching out to several active government officials and individuals who retain their government-issued security clearances, The Debrief learned that last fall was a busy time for the UAPTF. On October 21st, 2019, a briefing on UAP was conducted at the Pentagon for several Senate Armed Services Committee staffers. 

Attendees at the meeting told The Debrief that they were provided information on two previous DoD-backed UFO programs: The Advanced Aerial Weapons Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP) and the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). They were also briefed on “highly sensitive categories of UFO investigations.” Only two days later on October 23rd, staffers with the Senate Select Intelligence Committee were provided the same information in a meeting on Capitol Hill. 

A former private contractor for AAWSAP and AATIP, Dr. Hal Puthoff, confirmed for The Debrief he was one of a handful of persons who conducted the October briefings. “I have been invited to brief congressional staffers on the Senate Armed Services Committee on UAP matters in the last couple of years,” Puthoff said in an email, “and have done so on more than one occasion.” Dr. Puthoff described the staffers during these meetings as being “engaged,” and provided “positive responses, [and] more details always being requested.” 

The Debrief reached out to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Office and DoD Executive Services Office and formally requested an interview with someone authorized to speak on the UAP briefings with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In an email, Senior Strategist and Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough responded, “To maintain operations security, which includes not disseminating information publicly that may be useful to our adversaries, DOD does not discuss publicly the details of either the observations or the examination of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP – and that includes not discussing the UAPTF publicly, also.” 

Official public affairs channels indicate the Pentagon is not interested in sharing any more information on the UAP topic. However, several current and former officials with the DoD and individuals working for multiple U.S. intelligence agencies told The Debrief that there was much more going on behind closed doors.

8:35 p.m. local. This is a very interesting close encounter and one of FUFOR’s top cases. And, this one may have a nuclear connection. A huge, gunmetal gray, football-shaped object that was rocking back and forth was first observed by five people. Then the object began moving; swinging one end toward the shore and descending. The witnesses became frightened, ran back to their car and fled. When they got home, the object was still visible from a window that faced the lake. The object moved out over the ice and continued to descend, with red and blue lights now flashing in sequence along its lower edge. At one point triangular objects darted around the parent craft, then headed east toward the Perry nuclear power plant. One witness called the Eastlake police to report a UFO, and was finally referred to the Coast Guard. Coast Guard personnel saw the object and reported that it appeared to be landing on the lake. ALIEN CRAFT DIVES INTO THE WATERS OF SHAG HARBOR

An extraordinary event in 1967 would practically put the small fishing village of Shag Harbor on the map. Located at the southern tip of Nova Scotia, this rural community would be host to one of the best documented UFO events of the past 40 years.

Named after the “shag,” a bird of the cormorant family, the harbor was literally left off most maps of the time, but that would be changed once and for all.

The tiny fishing community has always had its stories… stories of giant sea serpents, man-eating squid, and ghost ships. The list of local color would see one more addition to its list: a story of a visit of a mysterious flying craft of unknown origin. This craft would visit the waters of Shag Harbor, permanently stamping the village’s name in the public eye.

The first indication of this mysterious occurrence would come from local residents who noticed strange orange lights in the sky on the night of October 4, 1967. Most witnesses agreed that there were four orange lights that evening. Five teenagers watched these lights flash in sequence, and then suddenly dive in a 45 degree angle toward the water’s surface. The witnesses were surprised that the lights did not dive into the water, but seemed to float on the water, approximately one-half mile from the shore.

Witnesses at first thought they were watching a tragic airplane crash, and quickly reported as much to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, which was located at Barrington Passage. Coincidently, RCMP Constable Ron Pound had already witnessed the strange lights himself as he drove down Highway 3 in route to Shag Harbor. Pound felt that he was seeing 4 lights, all attached to one flying craft. He estimated the craft to be about 60 feet long.

Constable Pound made his way to the shore to get a closer look at the phenomenal sight. He was accompanied by Police Corporal Victor Werbieki, Contable Ron O’Brien, and other local residents. Pound clearly saw a yellow light slowly moving on the water, leaving a yellowish foam in its wake. All eyes were glued on the light, as it slowly either moved too distant to be seen, or dipped into the icy waters.

Coast Guard Cutter #101 and other local boats rushed to the spot of the sighting, but by the time they arrived, the light itself was gone. However, the crewmen could still see the yellow foam, indicating that something had possibly submerged. Nothing else could be found that night, and the search was called off at 3:00 AM.

The RCMP ran a traffic check with the Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifac, and NORAD radar at Baccaro, Nova Scotia. They were told that there were no missing aircraft reported that evening, either civilian, or military.

Shag Harbor Map

The following day, the Rescue Coordination Center filed a report with Canadian Forces Headquarters in Ottawa. This report stated that something had hit the water in Shag Harbor, but the object was of “unknown origin.”

The HMCS Granby was ordered to the location, where divers searched the bottom of the ocean for several days, but without positive results.

Soon, the story of the mysterious crash at Shag Harbor died as quickly as it had begun. That is, until 1993. As the original story faded from papers and newscasts, several theories were put forward. One explanation was that a Russian spacecraft had crashed, which would explain the presence of a Russian submarine in the area. There was also the rumor of American involvement in the follow-up investigation, but there was no official statement from the United States.

The Shag Harbor incident would have new life breathed into it through the efforts of MUFON investigator Chris Styles. The case intrigued him so much that he decided to search for more details. Styles found the names of many of the original witnesses through newspaper clippings, and was able to interview many of them.

Styles was assisted by MUFON investigator Doug Ledger. These two men would uncover some extremely compelling evidence through their interviews. They discovered that when the divers of the Granby finished their work, the case was not over, after all.

The divers, along with other witnesses related these events: The object that dove into the waters of the harbor had soon left the Shag area, traveling underwater for about 25 miles to a place called Government Point, which was near a submarine detection base. The object was spotted on sonar there, and Naval vessels were positioned over it. After a couple of days, the military was planning a salvage operation, when a second UFO joined the first. Common belief at the time was that the second craft had arrived to render aid to the first.

At this time, the Navy decided to wait and watch. After about a week of monitoring the two UFOs, some of the vessels were called to investigate a Russian submarine which had entered Canadian waters. At this point, the two underwater craft made their move. They made their way to the Gulf of Maine, and putting distance between themselves and the chasing Navy boats, they broke the surface, and shot away into the skies.

These extraordinary events were corroborated by many witnesses, both civilian and military. Unfortunately, the reports were given “off the record.” Ex-military personnel feared the loss of their pensions, and civilian witnesses feared ridicule, and their privacy being invaded. The unusual events of Shag Harbor command an important place in the study of UFOs. There is little doubt that something “unknown” crashed into the waters of Shag Harbor on October 4, 1967.
