AUGUST 1, 2022…….DYER INDIANA
I live in Northwest Indiana and sit on my deck every night to look at the sky. Last night at 10:59 pm, I was looking SE. The sky was completely clear. I saw, what I thought to be a jet. I watched it moving and all of a sudden, it became the biggest, brightest ball of light I’ve ever seen moving in the sky. I knew it couldn’t be an airplane. I took these 3 pictures with my cell phone zoomed in 100x. After the 3rd picture was taken, it dimmed the light, but was still visible. It completely stopped moving towards me and hovered for maybe 30 seconds. Suddenly it made a sharp turn to its right from a complete stop and began to move. It disappeared from the sky about 15 seconds later. The image looked similar to the image I captured the night before (minus the rainbow) of the ISS, so I immediately (before it disappeared) looked at my Skyview app to see if that’s what it was. Nothing appeared on my app, like it had when I actually captured the ISS the night before. I showed a friend of mine the pictures. She did an image search on Google and found a similar image from another country listed as “strange lights in the sky.”
