ALIEN CRAFT BUZZES SMALL PLANE NEAR INDIANAPOLIS

JANUARY 12, 1974    …….     OUTSIDE INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA

 

This is a record of my rare experience while flying home from Texas one day in January. My friend, John Miller, who piloted B-24 bombers during the World War II years, was along on the trip for the ride.  The year was 1974 and I was going to a law seminar in Phoenix. We stopped in Texas for fuel and checked the weather en route. It looked like there might be considerable weather over the mountainous portion of the route into Phoenix. We continued on to El Paso and stopped to check again with Flight Service. It did not look good so we remained over night in El Paso and took a commercial flight to our destination the next morning.  Following the seminar, we returned to El Paso to pick up our plane and return to Columbus. The date was January 12, 1974. My airplane was a Cessna Centurion, a 6 passenger, high performance plane (so classified for light aircraft) with a single Continental IO-520 engine. Our aircraft registration number was 9458M. It was a cold clear day for our return. I recall that we stopped in Springfield, Missouri for refueling and landed on an absolute sheet of ice. Fortunately the wind was directly on our nose as we landed and we didn’t have to deal with a crosswind landing which could have been a real challenge.  We soon  departed for Columbus. The flight was smooth and unremarkable as we proceeded East bound. It started to get dark in Illinois and just after passing Indianapolis, Indiana, in the clear but dark sky on this moonless night, we noticed a bright light approaching some distance ahead. We believed it to be another plane at or near our same altitude.  We were cruising at 9000 feet and in contact with Indianapolis Approach Control. We were conscious of the fact that no other aircraft were contacting Approach Control on the radio frequency we were using, suggesting that at that particular time, we might be the only plane in their control area. Let me note that Approach Control in the major air traffic areas had radar at that time and could identify any airplane separately from any other. It is also common for Air Traffic Control to contact any planes in its area of jurisdiction and alert them to any other traffic flying near the same altitude when two planes are approaching each other or likely to cross paths. For example, I expected Approach Control to contact me and say “58 Mike, you have approaching traffic, 3 miles, 1000 feet above you.” He never did.


We watched this oncoming light for what seemed like 5 or 10 minutes. Of course we had no idea of its distance from us-there are no benchmarks up there to gauge distance, and at night time you might see a light many, many miles away. Soon I could tell it was getting much closer and I turned on my landing lights in the nose of the aircraft, in addition to my wingtip navigation lights as a precaution. The light just kept coming at our altitude and I was getting tense. In a moment it was close in front of us and I banked my plane sharply in a steep right turn and bank to get away.  The very moment I did this, the object with its light, in the flash of a moment, abruptly reversed direction by rapidly climbing and proceeding more than 90 degrees to the right of its former course. Picture the bottom half of the letter “Z”. That was it’s trajectory. All of this happened in a split second and I observed what I thought was the tail of this object climbing in the darkness at incredible speed, with 2 less bright lights, which quickly disappeared from our view. Given our right turn position and the speed which this object displayed, I cannot describe it further, it just could not be made out in the darkness, and what seemed a split second. It was a frightening event.  I turned to John and said “John was that a jet”? He replied “Hell no, that wasn’t a jet”. I immediately contacted Approach Control and asked if they showed traffic in our area, saying that we just had a close call. They answered that they were not showing any other traffic but would contact Center Control which controls traffic at the higher altitudes. In a moment he came back and said ” Indianapolis Center shows nothing-you’re the only traffic we see at this time, 58 Mike”. All I could think to say was that something else came awfully close.  We were both incredulous. This was something tangible, it traveled a considerable distance, it maneuvered, it changed direction in an amazingly abrupt motion, and no other aircraft, even those flying today, would be capable of such aerodynamics. I’ve heard the responses to UFO sightings before: it was moonlight on a cloud (there were no clouds nor moon), it was a reflection (of what,…. and its long trajectory and complete change of direction would argue against this). It was the pilot’s hallucination–if so, two seasoned pilots experienced it at the same time.  
The remaining flight home to Don Scott Field went quickly and I don’t even remember that part. This occurrence was heavy on my mind for weeks and, indeed, was one of my most memorable experiences ever. It remains vivid in my memory. TWO ALIEN CRAFT LAND IN NEW BERLIN NEW YORK        

 NOVEMBER 5, 1964    …..    NEW BERLIN NEW YORK

 

Was the double landing of UFOs at New Berlin, NY a repair mission – or something else?
A woman steps out onto her porch on a cool autumn night in 1964. Looking up, she sees what appears to be a shooting star fall onto a hillside opposite her, 2/3 of a mile away. Strangely, she sees another “falling light” which she watches descend from the sky in a vertical manner, but then it stops before it reaches the ground. It then starts to move horizontally along and above a creek bed that runs parallel to her road. As it comes closer, it becomes “intensely bright” and starts to emit a “low humming noise.”
Calling out for her mother-in-law to come outside, the woman (Mrs. H) steps out into her driveway to have a closer look. Right at that moment, two cars coming up the road pass by with the second one slowing down and pulling off the road to get a better look at the strange object. The UFO then starts to approach the car which pulls back onto the road and speeds away. But now the UFO shifts ever so slightly and comes DIRECTLY towards Mrs. H.
As she runs back towards her house, her mother-in-law comes out onto the porch, takes one look at the strange object and runs back inside. From inside the house she pleads with Mrs. H to return to the house and forget about the UFO. But Mrs. H ignores her and stands transfixed, watching the strange object as yet another car approaches. Incredibly, the UFO starts to pace the approaching car as soon as it gets directly across from Mrs. H’s house. Obviously frightened, the car rapidly speeds up to escape it. Finally the object moves away in a northerly direction and comes to rest in a field across the road, approximately 3800 feet away.
Now inside the house, Mrs. H and her mother-in-law focus a pair of high powered binoculars on the area where the UFO has landed. They can clearly see a “round structure”, sitting on what seem to be landing struts. The underneath of the structure is illuminated by some kind of very bright light and in that light they see something else even more stunning; FIVE OR SIX FIGURES CARRYING BOXES AND WHAT LOOK TO BE SOME KIND OF STRANGE TOOLS. As Mrs. H looks on through the binoculars, the men use the “strange hand held tools to extract a large contraption out of the UFO.” Then suddenly her mother-in-law utters a sharp cry and directs Mrs. H’s attention to the Northeast. There, descending quickly from the night sky is ANOTHER light which comes to rest on the hillside right behind the first UFO. Both Mrs. H and her mother-in-law are more than stunned and can’t believe what they are seeing now; MORE figures getting out of the newly landed UFO and hurrying to assist the other humanoid figures as they work on the first craft.
Sound like a scene out of the X-Files, Twilight Zone or even the 1960′s show The Invaders? Actually, the above account of a double UFO landing is true and is just as strange as anything that either Rod Serling or Chris Carter could ever imagine. Taking place on the evening of November 25, 1964, just north of the small hamlet of New Berlin, NY (nearest large city – Oneonta – 25 miles away) Mrs. Kathy Hatzenbuhler and her mother-in-law were witnesses to the whole startling event across from her property on New York State Route 80.
The most astounding part of this encounter of “high strangeness” was, of course, the humanoid figures trying to repair the grounded UFO. As Mrs. Hatzenbuhler described them: “they seemed to be dressed in something like a skin diver’s wetsuit. It was a dark color and their hands were visible…out from the wrist of the suit. Their skin was lighter than the suit that they were wearing. They were built like men…the only difference [was that they] were slightly taller…between 6 1/2 and 8 feet tall…they seemed to have hair like we do, although their hair wasn’t long…it seemed to be well barbered, fairly close to their heads.”
After the second UFO approached and landed just beyond the first one, five more figures exited it to join the crew working on the first object. Mrs. H watched through her powerful field glasses as almost all of them worked hard to cut long sections of what appeared to be “heavy dark cable”.
Hazenbuhler felt quite safe watching the whole procedure, but her mother-in-law grew quite frightened. They both considered calling the authorities, but decided against it as they felt that the police or sheriff might end up harassing the “alien men.” Also, both ladies later told investigators that they felt that “the men” were watching THEM closely the whole time.
The crews from both ships worked non-stop for four hours trying to re-fit the contraption they had removed from the one craft, back up into place. Three attempts failed, but on the fourth try they succeeded. Hatzenbuhler explained what she saw after that: “I could see them quickly pick up everything they could pick up and the men who had come down from the vehicle above them on the hill ran back with the materials up there. These men were running with something extremely heavy – (like) two men with a toolbox – one that required two men to carry. There were at least two more toolboxes, [and] there were two men who were laboriously running [and] it looked like they were picking up cable pieces [that] these other men had left. They ran up the hill with them and [then]…I didn’t see them anymore.”
Then, around 4:55 AM, the whole episode abruptly came to an end. The vehicle on the uppermost part of the hill left first. “It went straight up…almost like an instantaneous disappearance in the direction it had come from – south / southwest,” Hatzenbuhler recalled. “A minute later the other vehicle rose straight up,went to the crest of the hill, rose a little further again and shot off in the same direction, at the same speed. And that was it.”
The next day curiosity got the better of her and she and her husband (a chemical engineer) made their way up to the area where the craft had landed. There they found two sets of evenly spaced triangular depressions, fourteen inches wide and around eighteen inches deep. But they also found something else that amazed them both; there sitting on the ground in full sight was “an apparent piece of cable.” Hatzenbuhler later described it to investigators: “the outer part of it looked like wrapping, something like a brown paper towel, only it wasnt like OUR paper towel(s). It felt…like that and was dark brown in color. It seemed to be [some sort of] tubular cable wrapping. And in the center of it – it had been cut laterally- you could see [a] strip, maybe an inch wide. [It was] something that looked like finely shredded aluminum strips laid in there. [It had] the color and feel of aluminum, although it WASNT aluminum. It didnt behave like aluminum. Aluminum will crumple and THIS WOULDNT CRUMPLE. You couldnt crease it. It was inside, strips of this, laying inside the paper. You could remove the inside, for the outside paper had been cut along the length of the piece, but it was all together.” They then gathered a piece of it and took it with them back to their house. But unfortunately, before any investigators had a chance to examine it, it was lost.
Initially, Mrs. Hatzenbuhler, her husband and her mother-in-law told no one of the unbelievable events of that night. As time wore on however, and no answers came to light as to what exactly they had seen, they began discretely asking around if anyone else had glimpsed anything odd in that general vicinity that evening. Eventually word got out and the three largest civilian UFO investigative organizations at that time – NICAP (National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena), APRO (Aerial Phenomenon Research Group) and CSW (Civilian Saucer Watch) did in-depth interviews with the primary witnesses and some ground investigation as well. All three investigations corroborated with each other exactly, leaving very little doubt about the facts involved.
A few years later, a prominent psychiatrist from the New York City area – Dr. Berthold Schwarz – who had an overarching interest in the paranormal – arranged to visit Mrs. Hatzenbuhler at her home in Pennsylvania (she and her husband had since moved from New Berlin). There he interviewed her extensively (both consciously and under hypnosis) and also administered a small battery of psychological tests including the Cornell Medical Index Questionnaire and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Test (MMPT). Scharwz found her a happy and well-adjusted woman and the tests showed her to be “healthy,open and straightforward.” In his report he also mentioned that she stuck to her story and presented a well organized account [and] when “her data from disparate sources and times were reviewed, there were no inconsistencies.” Outside his report Schwarz made indication that she had been as truthful a witness to a close encounter that he had ever interviewed.
And there the case stands to this day; as puzzling and paradoxical as first reported. Did Marianne Hatzenbuhler and her mother-in-law witness something so rare that there are hardly any analogues to it in parapsychological research? Or were they terribly mislead in what they saw, either witnessing an elaborate hoax or something else altogether? There is no certainty on either point, for indeed, with regards to the double landing on that cold night in 1964 in upstate New York, the truth is still “out there.”. Bob Canino

FAMILY’S INCREDIBLE UFO SIGHTING NEAR INDIANAPOLIS AIRPORT

 MARCH 29, 2014    …..    INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA

 

I was driving home westbound on I70 passing near the airport when I noticed something in the sky. We (I was with my 17 and 12 year old daughters) were very near the airport but this wasn’t an airplane. As we got closer to it, I asked one of my daughters “what is that?” It was a V shaped object in the sky but it wasn’t moving. It had lights on it around the point of the V or at the point. I was actually severely lacking sleep at the time so I kept asking my daughter what is that? She kept saying she didn’t know. The only reason we could see it aside from the lights on the object was because the object was darker in color than the sky. The lights were not beaming they were just on. I picked up my phone and called my husband and asked him how fast an airplane had to go in order to maintain any altitude in the sky because this wasn’t moving. My other daughter then said she saw a plane. It was moving. When I got off the phone with my husband I kept asking my daughters what that was. My 12 year old kept saying she didn’t know but that she knew for sure the one object WAS an airplane. I said then what was the other thing?  She said I don’t know. So I said when I was on the phone you know for a fact that the one thing WAS an airplane she said yes. I said then what was the other thing? She said I don’t know. The lights I saw were also round in shape I do not recall how many lights there were. I also can not remember exactly what direction the object was in the sky, I know it was not up and down but could have been horizontal but somehow I could see the lights and feel like they were on the bottom or underside of the object. I pulled up some pictures tonight and had my 17 year old look at them because I saw something that looked very similar to what I’d seen. I asked her to look at the pictures and she pointed out exactly what I thought looked like what we’d seen. When I tried to get my 12 year old to look she refused and ran out of the room and avoids anything and everything to do with this. I don’t know why. Because I was so tired I didn’t do what I would have done had I been thinking clearly and that would have been to pull over on the interstate and take pictures (it wasn’t that busy on the road) and I’d have watched it. I hope it happens again but what I’d really like to know is if anyone else has reported it.   NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

ALIEN CONTACT WITH A SMALL BOY IN TEXAS

CIRCA 1974     …..     MISSION TEXAS

 When I was approximately 7 years old, which would be around 1974, we were living in a mobile home park in Mission, TX. We had just moved to this mobile home park as my parents had just sold the property we lived on. The park was was huge, probably 20 to 30 acres and it had just opened, there were only 2 or three other homes in the whole park, spaced far apart. The park was surrounded by orange groves so it was relatively isolated. I believe it was called the Trade Winds Mobile Home Park. I don’t know if it still there as I haven’t been back to Mission since I left in 1991.  One morning, early, before sunrise, I woke up to noise outside by bedroom window, I don’t recall clearly what the noise was but it was enough to rouse my curiosity. I figured it was probably coyotes and was quite curious to catch a glimpse. I had to stand on my bed to look out my window. I was scanning the yard below but didn’t see any coyotes. I then noticed motion to my left and turned to see a figure standing next to my mothers car. It was an “outline” of a large being, it had to be huge as it was several feet taller than the car. I would guess maybe 6.5 to 7.5 feet. The figure was big and bulky, the shoulders very wide and the legs very thick, but all clearly humanoid shaped. The inside of the outline was very dark like light couldn’t escape (best way I can describe it) but the outline was clearly visible. It turned towards me and we just stood there looking at each other for several seconds. I don’t know how I knew it could see me, but I did. At this point I did not feel any fear, I was just stunned, trying to understand what I was seeing. It then slowly turned and walked off into the darkness.  At this point I jumped from my bed and ran to my parents room, I woke up my mother and tried to tell her what I had seen but she insisted it was a “bad dream”. I knew it wasn’t. She got up and continued to get ready for work. She tried to laugh it off but I kept insisting and did not want her to go outside because the big, invisible man would get her I feared. At that point she didn’t want to hear any more about it. I think I was somewhat in shock and traumatized by the experience. So I said nothing else about it.


However, several days later, there was a small article in our local paper “The Monitor” about a local woman who had see the same EXACT thing I saw, only she reported it to the police. As I recall the article made the woman out to be a “crazy lunatic”. My mother read this article to me and we both just sat there stunned. She then questioned me about it again and told me not to tell anyone. I suppose she didn’t want to expose me to ridicule. To this day she refuses to talk about the ordeal.  What is even scarier is that some time after this incident I began to recall more and more of the events that happened before I heard the noise outside. I remember laying in my bed, unable to move. This being shining a light in my eyes and “telling” me that they would be gone shortly (no words were exchanged though). I remember feeling like I was wrapped in thick jell-o. I could see another being in my room looking through my dresser drawers, for what, I have no idea. The being was shining a flashlight looking device into my draws only the light (greenish) was coming OUT of my drawers not going INTO my dresser drawers, but the light moved when the being moved the “flashlight”. I remember starting to panic then all of a sudden feeling calm. The first being again “told” me (without words) that they would be done soon and that I would not remember anything and it would be okay. The next thing I remember is waking up to stand up on my bed to look out the window.  I have no idea what they were looking for or why. Perhaps I had found something and they wanted it back. I don’t know and probably never will.  I have never told this story to anyone other than my mother. I have not even told my partner of 18 years this story.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

INCREDIBLE UFO SIGHTINGS FROM THE EIGHTEEN HUNDRED’S

 One of the very first sightings of what could be a UFO occurred as early as 1865, over 35 years before the first known flight at Kitty Hawk. Fortunately, there are still newspaper accounts of this and other early sightings of days long since passed.  The Missouri Democrat dated October 19, 1865 gives an account of the sighting of an unknown flying object under the headline of “A STRANGE STORY-REMARKABLE DISCOVERY.”  The story was reported by one James Lumley, who was a trapper. The report stated that “if” what Lumley reported was true, it would shake the foundations of the scientific world. Lumely claims that in the middle of September, he was trapping in the mountains at a location about 75-100 miles above the Great Falls of the Upper Missouri River.  Just after sunset, Lumley saw a “bright, luminous, body” in the skies. This body moved very quickly to the East. After five seconds, the unknown object burst into pieces. He soon heard a thunderous explosion followed by a “rushing sound.” This explosion shook the ground. He could smell sulfur in the air. Though impressed by what he had seen and heard, the next day would bring even more remarkable discoveries.  About two miles from his campsite, he could see a path cut through the forest. Whatever had come through the area had leveled everything in its path. He soon discovered the cause of the great destruction, a giant object which was made of a rock-like material.  This object had been driven into the side of a mountain after ripping through the forest. This was much more than an asteroid or comet: the object was divided into compartments. Also, hieroglyphic-like symbols could be seen carved into the object’s surface.  He also discovered fragments of what appeared to be glass, and strange liquid-like stains located in several places on the object.  Almost humorously, the newspaper account ascertains that the object “had” to be a meteor which was used by extraterrestrials. Their theory was that these other-worldly beings traveled on meteors, and would eventually land on Earth, and put mankind into wholesale servitude.

 

  A second newspaper report on a strange airship was included in the Denison Daily News of Denison, Texas on January 25, 1878. A Texas farmer, John Martin, was credited with one of the first uses of the term “flying saucer.”  Martin had actually seen a “balloon-shaped” UFO, but used the saucer term to describe the size of the object from his perspective. Martin’s sighting was January 2.  What he saw was a dark object high in the sky. The object was moving closer to him all the while. Because the object maintained a dark color, there was speculation that the object was solid and backlit.  The headlines of the 25th would read, “A STRANGE PHENOMENON.” A portion of the report is listed here:  “From Mr. John Martin, a farmer who lives some six miles south of this city, we learn the following strange story: Tuesday morning while out hunting, his attention was directed to a dark object high up in the southern sky. The peculiar shape and velocity with which the object seemed to approach riveted his attention and he strained his eves to discover its character.”  “When first noticed, it appeared to be about the size of an orange, which continued to grow in size. After gazing at it for some time Mr. Martin became blind from long looking and left off viewing it for a time in order to rest his eyes. On resuming his view, the object was almost overhead and had increased considerably in size, and appeared to be going through space at wonderful speed.”  There are a number of other American reports, along with much evidence from around the world going back to early civilizations which indicate flying apparatus were being seen in the skies.  There seems to be little doubt that even before mankind had mastered the art of flying, someone, somewhere had. Of course, UFO reports can often times be explained by conventional flying objects, but what known craft could we use for an explanation in the mid to late 1800′s? The Wright Brothers had not yet created their new flying machine.  NOTE: The above images are renderings.

TRAIN CRASHES INTO ALIEN CRAFT IN KENTUCKY 

January 14, 2002    ……     PAINTSVILLE KENTUCKY

Paintsville, Kentucky — At exactly 2:47 a.m. on January 14, 2002, while working a coal train enroute from Russell, Kentucky to Shelbiana, Kentucky, our trailing unit and first two cars were severely damaged as we struck an unknown floating or hovering object. I know it was 2:47 because my watch froze, and to this day shows that time.  Along with my watch the entire electrical systems on both locomotives went haywire. Approaching a bend near milepost 42 in an area referred to as the Wild Kingdom, for the many different types of animals spotted there, my conductor and I saw lights coming from around the way.  This ordinarily means another train is coming and will pass on the other track. The outlay of the area is this, the river, #1 track, #2 tracks and a straight up mountainside, carved out for the laying of these tracks. I killed our lights as not to blind the oncoming crew.  As we rounded the corner our onboard computer began to flash in and out, speed recorder went nuts, and both locomotives died. Alarm bells began to ring and that’s when we saw the objects. Apparently scanning the river for something. At least three objects had several “search” lights trained there, the first object hovered about 10 to 12 feet above the track.  It was metallic silver in color with multiple colored lights near the bottom and in the middle. There were no windows or openings of any kind that we could see. It was 18 to 20 feet in length and probably ten feet high.  With both engines dead as we rounded the corner we made little noise and the first object did not respond in time, I estimate that we hit the object at 30 mph with 16,000 trailing tons behind us. It clipped the top of our lead unit then skipped back slicing a chunk out of our trailing unit and first two coal cars. The other objects vanished.   Our emergency brakes had initiated due to the loss of power and we stopped approximately a mile and a half to two miles after impact. Our power restored after we were stopped and we notified our dispatcher, located in Jacksonville, Florida of what had happened. We were told to inspect the cars to see if they’d hold the rail and try to limp into milepost cmg 60 which used to be the Paintsville yard which is no longer in full operation. We checked everything out and the cab of the rear locomotive was demolished and smoking, the second two cars looked as if they had been hit with a giant hammer, but looked like they’d hold the rail.  We pulled into Paintsville yard at approximately 5:15 am. The huge overhead lights lining the yard were noticeably dark and the only lights came from what we assumed were railroad officials vehicles parked near the end of the track. We pulled to a stop and began unloading our grips off the wounded train. We could hear what sounded like an army of workers immediately tending to our train.

 

 Vehicle doors slamming, guys running by in weird outfits and lights glaring from all directions, the one thing missing was railroad officials.  A guy named Ferguson shook my hand and asked me to follow him into the old yard office. We did, once inside they, and by they I mean I have no idea who these people were, began to ask us hundreds of questions, they then told us for our own protection we’d be medically tested before we could leave.  I asked repeatedly to talk to my road foreman or trainmaster and not only were these requests denied but they confiscated my conductor’s cellular phone.  Hours later we were led outside the old yard office and the strange things continued to happen, the 2 locomotives and two cars were removed from the rest of the train we had brought in and my only guess was parked 4 tracks over under a huge tent like structure buzzing with activity.  We were led off the property and told, due to national security, our silence on this matter would be appreciated.   We were then put in a railroad vehicle and taken to Martin, Kentucky were we went through questioning again with railroad officials and were then drug tested. After all of this we were sent on to Shelbiana, where we took rest for 8 hours and worked another train back to Russell. MARCH 20, 2014     …..     GILA BEND ARIZONA

Gila Bend, AZ – 3/20/14 – unedited: On our way home from San Diego, California to Tucson, Arizona, my boyfriend and I were driving on Interstate 8. First I witnessed what I thought was a plane, then I realized the lights were much bigger and there was no aircraft, there were 3 round orb-like and orange lights in the shape of a triangle that were moving/flying rapidly upward then suddenly disappeared. At first I was very confused at what it was that I saw and why/how it disappeared, and if it was a plane how this was possible? I was totally perplexed and almost wanted to disacknowledge what just took place. What made me notice this was the size and triangular shape of the object and how quickly it was flying upward.  After 30 minutes later my boyfriend and I were having a conversation when I noticed in my peripheral vision one giant orange circular/orb like light to the right of my vision (South of Gila Bend – seemed to have been outside of Ajo, Arizona). This light was not moving in any direction it was staying still in one spot but it was almost the size of a penny, and was about 20-35 degrees above a mountain. We continued to watch it for 2 & 1/2 minutes until we watched it dissolve into nothing, dissolving from bottom first then top. It almost appeared to look like a mini sun, in the middle of the night, I compare it to this because of how bright it was and the intense aura of light it was emitting, the light was a very bright orange hue and it was sparkling almost like a fireball or star in the sky but much more intensely than anything I’ve ever seen. It appeared out of thin air, there was no trail or streak of light before it appeared, nor was there anything left behind when it disappeared. It just slowly faded away and was gone. While watching this I just had no idea what I was seeing, I knew it wasn’t a plane or a flare because it would have left a streak or trail, I felt in shock at this point and awe at how bright this object was. I almost felt afraid because I had no way to explain what my eyes were witnessing. Then about ten minutes later after we had driven away from the place we had stopped to watch it, we noticed that 4 more of these orbs appeared in a line. At this point we were further away from them, but they were the same color and shape ( bright orange orbs floating in same spot radiating intense light) then a minute later a 5th one appeared, and for the next 2-5 minutes these orbs continued to appear and disappear across different positions in the sky. Out of nowhere once again, it was as if someone flicked a light switch when they just disappeared. However, when they were still in the sky it did look like they changed shape at one point into a diamond like shape, but then they returned back into orb/circular shapes flickering immensely almost like extremely bright stars/suns.

 

 At this point I felt extremely happy/excited that I had seen something out of this world and unexplainable I was just happy and calling everyone I knew sharing that I was witnessing some crazy lights radiating this intense orange light. Then as I drove away I felt afraid and in shock for the unknown. At this point today I would just like to know what I had seen.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2001   ……..   HOBOKEN NEW JERSEY

 I am a crane operator in NJ. My partner and I just started up the 250 ton American Crane, and we were talking by the cab standing on the cat walk. I notice a light moving straight up the Hudson River going north. I said to my partner look at that plane it’s moving really fast! We both looked in amazement as the object got closer at incredible speed. It was huge, and it was loosing parts or something, it was definitely burning . As it passed over the World Trade Center it left a puffy cloud, from our point of view it was directly over the towers. As it passed us, I remebered that I had a camera. It was a low resolution digital camera. After I snapped the picture, the object split perfectly into three parts. One went straight, and one went to the right and the other went to the left in perfect synchronization as all three descended. My son was working a few blocks away and he and some others saw it as well, but not the split. Where we were we had the advantage because we were right by the river. Later that day there was a report on the radio that this object was seen as for as South Carolina, and they said it was an old Russian Space Ship.  To this day I don’t believe that story. It was never mention again on any news, television or newspaper. It was big! and you can hear it roaring as it went by. On the left of the photo is the edge of the boom of the crane, it had to be about 75 miles or more passed us when I took this picture. Again it was big!

MILITARY BOMBERS ENCOUNTER ALIEN DISC OVER UTAH

JULY 16, 1947    …….    SALT FLATS UTAH

 

I was a member of the United States Air Force at the time that I saw nine flying discs. I dutifully reported my sighting to the Operations Section at Travis Air Force Base as had been directed by the Senior Officer.  The pilot of our aircraft was also the officer in charge of the section that I was assigned to at the time. I was the Aircraft Distribution Officer of the Far East Air Materiel Command located in Fuchu, Japan in 1947.  I had a project to take B-17 aircraft from the theater to Middletown Air Depot, Pennsylvania to have them modified to be air rescue aircraft. This involves such modification to accommodate a lifeboat attached the bomb bay which could be dropped for rescue at sea. I was assigned to one of these trips to observe the modification process.  I became a passenger on the flight of a B-17 from Japan to the Middletown Air Depot. The crew picked up a modified B-17 aircraft (without the life boat) for return to Japan.   On that return flight I had positioned myself in the nose of the aircraft.

As we approached Promontory Point, Utah at 15:30 hours, 16 July, 1947, I noticed several objects rising from the Salt Flats. At first I thought they were big white birds but they were coming towards our aircraft at such great speed that I became alarmed.  However, in just a few moments they veered to the left of our aircraft, but close enough for me to identify them as nine round disks, approximately 40-60 feet in diameter with light blue  underbellies.  They were in what appeared to be a V formation of three, three, and three. They passed off the left wing of our aircraft in a climbing flight. I immediately made my way to the cockpit to advise the pilot of my sighting. He had not seen them. However, the flight engineer, Technical Sergeant GJH (name withheld), Serial Number AFxxxxxxxx, did see them and confirmed my sighting.  We only differed on one thing. T/SGT. H saw them as they were a little lower than our aircraft and he described the top of them as sand colored.  I had been in the Philippines Islands and Japan for approximately for 18 months and had not been aware of the UFO excitement in the States at that time. The weather over the sighting area was perfectly clear and there was no way that I could have been mistaken about what I had seen.  I talk about this event to my friends and others that want to listen to my experience. Since there is so much reaction to stories of such sightings, I have never gone beyond just telling about the event.  Also, I never had any further contact with T/SGT. H since he was assigned to a different organization than mine. I have kept the record of this event in my wallet all these years to make sure that the data was immediately available to me in the event someone wanted names and dates.  I also put a copy of the data in my personal strongbox for safe keeping.  There is one thing that I regret about this event. I had just purchased a movie camera with a telephoto lens while in the States on this trip, and had it right in front of me at the time, and I did not think enough to take pictures of the sighting.  However, on the other hand, the whole thing was over in just a few seconds and had I tried to take movies of it I may have missed the whole show. A drowsy mother in Carteret saw the flickering golden lights in the sky and ran for her camera. A hard-boiled Navy veteran traveling the New Jersey Turnpike spotted the slow-moving, bright-yellow V-formation and pulled his car to the shoulder to get a better look.  Police officers on patrol at 12:40 a.m. yesterday couldn’t believe their eyes.  Within the hour, Carteret police dispatchers said they heard from at least 15 callers reporting strange orange flares blazing high above the Arthur Kill. The eerie glow had people at backyard barbecues mesmerized, with heads upturned and mouths agape. Almost 75 vehicles pulled over on the New Jersey Turnpike to watch the spectacle.  But no one seems to know what caused the luminous vision. Police could not identify the source of the lights, and Newark International Airport authorities reported no unusual flight patterns. A meteorologist with the National Weather Service said nothing in the atmosphere would have caused the bright disturbance, and an airman at McGuire Air Force Base said none of their military planes were in the air at that hour.  Whatever it was that lit up the sky above Carteret was by all accounts weird.  ”It wasn’t fireworks, and it couldn’t have been a hot-air balloon, not at night near the airfield,” said Steven Vannoy, who pulled over on the turnpike with his girlfriend on their way home to Perth Amboy. “What we saw last night qualifies as a UFO. It was an unidentifiable flying object.”  A Carteret police sergeant on duty called the State Police and neighboring departments in Linden and Woodbridge to find out what was causing the strange glow, but he said none had received reports of the lights. Bob Wanton, a National Weather Service meteorologist in Mount Holly, had no explanation for the lights. “Weatherwise, there was nothing that would have caused it,” he said. The aurora borealis, a spectacular show of light high in the northern hemisphere, is seldom visible in New Jersey, said Wanton. The lights normally appear in the winter, he said.   “It’s very unusual for the northern lights to come down this far, especially at this time of year,” he said. On Staten Island, a spokeswoman for the 123rd precinct in the Tottenville section suggested the display might have come from a nightclub on Arthur Kill Road that frequently uses search lights for promotions. The club had been ordered closed by a judge on July 11 and its phone was disconnected yesterday. Airman First Class Andre Steverson said no planes from McGuire Air Force Base were flying at that time. An operations manager at Newark International Airport said there were no reports of unusual activity and said the lights “could have been almost anything,” from a group of military helicopters on flight exercises to a blimp.  Maybe, said David Stich, who saw the bursts of light from his back yard in Carteret. But those flares didn’t look to him like spotlights or anything else he could recognize.  ”I never in my life saw anything like it,” said Stich, a lifelong Carteret resident accustomed to the roar and flight path of aircraft from Newark. He compared the lights to volleyballs, dwarfing the surrounding stars, and said they clearly moved in formation.  Around the corner, Pam Russell’s husband woke her to see the show. She saw a diamond-shaped pattern in the sky and noticed smaller lights leading the pack and bringing up the rear.  ”I ran for my camera,” said Russell. “But they disappeared.” Afterward, she said, the skies were dark and silent.  NOTE:  The above image is a rendering.

JULY 13, 1969     …..     NEW SHOREHAM RHODE ISLAND

 During the summer of 1969, when I was eighteen years old, I visited Block Island. After the ferry boat from New London, Conn., arrived in New Shoreham, I headed out alone to Black Rock Point a little past the Mohegan Bluffs on the island’s south coast. There, I found an abandoned, weather-beaten, wooden lean-to shaped like a Boy Scout’s tent sunken into one of the bluffs, about halfway up the slope, or just a little more. I’ve always called it a “lean-to,” but strictly speaking, it was a bit different in that the two narrower sides were open and the roof came to a peak in the middle. It was nine or ten feet long and maybe five feet high at the peak. After awhile the tide came in, and along with the darkness, a thick fog. That night I heard all sorts of strange sounds, which I attributed to fatigue, nerves, and the noise of the sea and wind. At first I thought I heard voices on the shore below  but there was no sign of any visitor. “My ears are playing tricks on me,” I thought. After awhile, it seemed as if several people were speaking a few feet away, near the farther end of the lean-to. Yet their words were not quite recognizable; it was as if they were speaking in an adjacent dimension. This too I chalked up to nerves. Then there was a loud crash against the front wall of the lean-to, the side that faced the sea, as if it had been struck by a rock. This was no figment of my imagination. In terror, I ran outside, and called out. But there was no reply. I tried to examine the wall of the lean-to, but could hardly see a thing in the dark. The wind was blowing and the tides were making a lot of noise at the shore below. I quickly scrambled up the steep clay incline, using both my hands and feet. The fog was so thick that I was nearly blind, but dared not stop. As I got over the crest, I sensed a presence over my head, but I didn’t look up; just kept running into the miasma across the bed of rubbery green stuff that grew profusely atop the bluffs. A moment later I found myself encircled in a wide ring of light, despite the fog. It was as if a huge floodlight had been focused on me from above as I ran, although this seemed to be physically impossible, given the fog.

 Then on the upper periphery of my vision, I saw what I first imagined was a giant bird about the size of a small plane silently gliding over my head, seeming to shut off the light as it flew by. (In the MUFON checklist, I called this a boomarang shape, but it’s really hard to be sure. The sizes and distances are also very rough guesses. And I never saw it in proximity to the horizon, just when it was above me.) I kept running. Eventually I reached the paved road and hitched a ride back to town with two guys around nineteen or twenty years old who lived on the island with their families. On the way, they asked me what I had been doing near Black Rock Point at night. When I told them what had just occurred, they were astonished. “Didn’t you notice that all of the houses out there are empty? Everyone knows—that’s the most haunted part of the Island! Nobody goes out there after dark!” Because of this, for decades I believed that the entire episode was some sort of poltergeist phenomenon. But now I’m inclined to believe that it was a UFO experience – my first and I hope, my last.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

What I saw that morning were two very visible flying saucers. I noticed the first one coming from the west and heading east. Then I noticed a second one coming from the south. When they started getting closer looking like they were going to hook up or something.  The first one heading east making a complete stop.  When the second one which was heading south, reached the first one, it made a turn to head east.  It was very cold out that morning and I didn’t have very much on to stay out much longer.  I think I was standing out there for about 10 minutes. Neither one was moving at a fast speed but because the sky was rather bright that night, I had no problem in getting a good view of both of them. So after that incident, I made it a habit to look up at the night sky every night and what I have been seeing is something that I have no idea of what they are.  This is every night when the sky is clear enough to see them and there are anywhere from five to thirteen of them that I can see.  Because I have mentioned this, more and more people are coming forward and saying that they are seeing these strange things every night also. I don’t know if you would be interested to follow up on this. I have so much more to tell that would take up too much space here but all kinds of crazy stuff has been going on. Everyone that I have talked to don’t know if these things are from another planet, or if they are from our own government. BIZARRE ALIEN CATTLE MUTILATIONS BAFFLE INVESTIGATORS

 A disturbing chain of livestock mutilations has plagued farmers and ranchers throughout all 50 states for decades, but law enforcement has failed to name a perpetrator. Cows, horses, goats, and other livestock have been randomly found dead—the corpses mutilated and organs removed with surgical precision. With each of these attacks, no tracks of any kind surround the site, perplexing ranchers and law enforcement.  Many theories surround this mysterious and persistent wave of attacks. Suspects include predatory animals, satanic cultists, extraterrestrials, and even the U.S. government. To this day, no arrests have been made even though more than 10,000 attacks have been recorded throughout the country, according to KLAS-TV Las Vegas.  These cases stand out from regular predatory attacks on livestock. Their surgical nature is eerie and unexplainable. Colorado rancher Tom Miller recalled his first encounter with the mysterious mutilations: The eyes, ears, tongue, and reproductive organs had been removed from one of his cows with surgical precision. No blood was found onsite, which is typical among the mutilation attacks. Miller said that his cattle have been periodically attacked in this way since 1999.  Adding to the bewilderment are the fractured bones, including ribs, inside the carcasses of the mutilated animals, suggesting that the animals were taken, operated on, and then dropped from an elevated height.  Supporters of the extraterrestrial theory suggest that aliens take the animals aboard their craft and then discard the remains, according to the “Unexplained Files.” Ufologists—those who study UFOs—believe that the mutilation of these animals represents a need for bodily tissue in order to create alien-human hybrids. This claim is perhaps lacking in evidence, but in many cases of cattle mutilation, the reproductive organs were removed—embryos included. In the scientific community, cow embryos were used in human cloning attempts by the company Advanced Cell Technology in 1999, reported the BBC and NewScientist news.

 NOTE:  MUFON has a new show that is aired on Friday nights and it’s called ” Hanger 1 ”.  The last episode touched on this interesting subject and made it very clear that livestock are disappearing and some are being dissected for it’s organs.  I have always been a big critic of these so called UFO shows but this one is excellent.  MUFON has hit a grand slam with this one.  …..The above image is a rendering.

 I was walking back home from meeting a friend. I had arranged to be picked up from outside my home by another friend at 6.45pm on the 28th of December, 2013, so I know the time was approximately 6.40 to within a couple of minutes. It was dark and as I followed the path home the last part cuts through some unused ground at the side of a railway line. There is no street lighting there so I had turned on the torch on my phone. Since that particular stretch of pathway is dark you can get a good view of the stars without too much light pollution. I looked up into the sky and saw a star that caught my eye and for a brief moment I thought it was something out of the ordinary. I thought to myself “Dammit, I’m never going to see a real ufo”. I mention this as I feel it might be related to what happened next. When I came to the part of the path where the street lighting begins again I looked down to turn off my torch. At this point I was only 100 yards from my house. As I looked back up I saw three faint green lights in an equilateral triangle formation hovering/floating about 25 feet above the path directly (15-20 yards) in front of me. My first thought was “Ooh that looks like one of those triangle ufos I’ve heard about.” As the lights began to move I thought for a moment they were perhaps birds flying in formation but it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t the case as the lights holding their triangle formation about 7 or 8 feet apart on each side of the triangle began to bank horizontal and at the same time flew from my right to left and down towards the ground in the school playing field to my left. I realised that this was something completely out of the ordinary, and it seemed for a moment that it was about to land as it came down to a height of about 6 feet from the ground but then lifted the front end and executed a ‘loop the loop’ right in front of me. The loop apex was about 30 feet in the air and as the lights came back around towards the ground, the back 2 lights spread out slightly – like a bird might if it were catching the wind to glide. As it was at the top of the loop it was flying directly towards me and as I realised that I felt that burst of adrenaline that you get when you are scared, but I remained calm and continued watching without moving. Then it continued to fly into the playing field at head height and away from me for maybe 30 yards or so and then just kind of vanished or turned its lights off. There was no sound the whole time and the lights appeared as small orbs about the size of a football which were kind of like a mist lit from within – a kind of faint woolly green light.

The three lights kept the same formation and gave the impression of being held together by some sort of invisible structure – what I assume was a craft of some sort. It was travelling pretty slow – around running speed – what is that maybe 15 or 20 mph? The whole sighting probably lasted only 15 or 20 seconds from start to finish. I don’t recall exactly but I’m pretty sure I stopped walking and stood and watched without moving when I spotted it although I may have taken a few steps towards it before I realised it was something unusual. As it disappeared I had the feeling that it was some kind of creature rather than a craft and that it had somehow read my mind and put on the whole display just for me – like it was showing off. I appreciate that those are quite extraordinary claims but the whole thing was way off the chart regarding how weird it was. Afterwards I remained standing there trying to figure out what I had seen and if it was some kind of laser display or some kind of trickery – I half expected to hear someone laughing or something. I must have been stood for a good 4 or 5 minutes before I resumed my walk home and just before I left I noticed 2 helicopters in the sky a couple of miles to the north. Maybe related-maybe not, but I remember thinking that the whole thing seemed to fit other sighting reports I have read. I have never had any other paranormal or ufo related experiences other than a possible ufo sighting about 6 years ago but it was far away and dark and although I think it was a ufo it was too ambiguous for me to make anything of it. However that did lead me to take an interest in the phenomenon as a whole and I have to say I am pleased that I now ‘know’ that there is at least some legitimacy to ufology.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

 We were camping at the Pine Creek Campsite near Bayfield, CO, where two of our party had previously witnessed UFOs/strange lights in the sky. The craft appeared in the gap between two peaks, which is slightly west of true north. Initially, it looked like a single, white light, an excessively bright light, in fact. It’s hard to explain, but it was really, really bright – WAY brighter than any other plane or star. However, as it drew closer the white light seemed to separate into three smaller white lights in a perfect line with a red light hovering above it. Presumably, this was the top of the craft as it seemed to be descending.  The truly interesting thing about this craft was that it was incredibly low, perhaps even 500 feet or less above our heads. It flew directly overhead and seemed to bank slightly before disappearing into the south – perhaps over Vallecito Reservoir.  As it passed overhead and banked it became clear that this was a diamond-shaped craft. Small lights lined all four sides, delineating the diamond shape and showing the outline of the craft. From our vantage point we could see the underside of the thing which seemed to have four or five red lights (one at each corner and one in the center) and a series of three or four round white lights in the front and four slit-like lights toward the back.  It moved slowly and took about thirty seconds to travel across the sky. It made a low, rumbling roar, but did not resemble a plane in any other way. I have no idea how large it was, but it seemed pretty big, at least as big as a jet, maybe bigger.  About an hour and one-half later another craft appeared from the same general area and traveled the same general path. It seemed exactly the same, appearing as an extraordinarily bright single white light and then showing us the three white lights and single red light as it drew near. As before it was very low. Once again there were small, white lights around the perimeter, three or four white lights at the front and three slit-like lights in the back. The only difference was that the five lights at the corners were green and not red.  NOTE: The above alien craft was spotted over Pescara Italy on November 6, 2013.

MYSTERIOUS ALIEN LIGHT BUZZES AIR FORCE RECON AIRCRAFT

 JULY 1975  …..   GULF COAST

These six men were on a training/test exercise in an RB-47H electronic countermeasures reconnaissance aircraft. The RB-47, while originally developed as a bomber, was also used extensively as a reconnaissance aircraft. One was shot down by the Soviet Union while on such a mission in 1960.  This particular mission began at Forbes AFB in Topeka, Kansas as an exercise including gunnery exercises over the Texas-Gulf area, navigation exercises over the open Gulf, and Electronic CounterMeasures exercises on the return trip across the south-central U.S.  The men participating were soon to depart for Germany and duty there. It should be noted that the ECM equipment was not radar. It did not emit a signal and then pick up reflected echoes off of an object. Rather, it detected electromagnetic signals that were actually emitted by an object itself. The purpose of this was to detect and locate enemy radar installations. On this aircraft, the #2 monitor consisted of a direction finder with antenna on the lower rear of the aircraft, and the #1 monitor consisted of a direction finder with antennas on each wingtip of the aircraft. The #3 monitor was not involved in the events of July 17, because its range did not include the frequencies involved. The first contact with the unknown object was before 4:00 AM CST. The first two parts of the mission had been completed, and the aircraft was just leaving the airspace over the Gulf of Mexico near Gulfport, Mississippi, when Frank McClure, on the #2 ECM monitor, detected an airborne signal to the right rear of the aircraft, out over the Gulf of Mexico. The signal was of a type usually confined to ground-based radar installations. It was at 2800 megacycles, a common frequency for S-band search radar. McClure at first thought that his scope must be 180° out of alignment and that he must be picking up a ground-based radar station in Louisiana, which would actually be to the left front of the aircraft. As he watched, the signal moved up the scope, as it would if the scope was 180° out of alignment. However, he was amazed to see that, after it had moved up the scope on the right-hand side of the aircraft, it then crossed the path of the RB-47 and proceeded to move down the scope on the left-hand side. In other words, whatever was emitting the signal flew a ring around the RB-47, which was flying at approximately 500 mph. Even if the scope was 180° out of alignment, the signal source still moved completely around the aircraft, which no ground radar could do. McClure said and did nothing at this time, not mentioning the signal to the other crew members. The signal faded as they flew north.


The RB-47 made a scheduled turn to the west over Jackson, Mississippi and the crew was preparing to begin a series of simulated ECM operations against Air Force ground radar units, when suddenly the pilot, Lewis Chase, saw a light coming in from the left, at approximately the same altitude as the RB-47. At first he thought it was another plane, but it was only a single white light, closing fast. He gave the command to prepare for evasive maneuvers, but the light flashed across from left to right so fast that no such action could have been taken. It then blinked out at a point to the right front of the aircraft. Both Chase and Copilot James McCoid observed this. At this point, approximately 4:10 AM CST, they were approximately over Winnsboro, Louisiana.  Chase told the other crewmembers what he had seen, and McClure now told him about his earlier signal reading. At 4:30 AM, McClure set his scope to detect signals near 3000 mcs again, and he detected a strong signal at the same location in relation to the RB-47 that Chase had last seen the light. He and Provenzano checked the alignment of the #2 monitor by tuning in on known ground radar installations and found it to be in perfect working order. At 4:30 AM, Provenzano tuned his own monitor, #1, to 3000 mcs, and found that his equipment detected a signal at the same location. What’s more, he and McClure found that the signal was staying in the same position, keeping pace with the RB-47, which was still flying at 500 mph. This meant that it was not a signal from a ground-based radar.

By this time they had reached the Duncanville, Texas area. At 4:39, Chase spotted a huge light to the right front of the RB-47 an about 5,000 feet below the aircraft’s 34,500 feet altitude. The weather was perfectly clear. At 4:40, McClure reported two signals, at 40° and 70°. Chase and McCoid reported seeing red lights at those locations. Chase contacted radar Station Utah at Duncanville, Texas and requested permission to abandon his flight plan and pursue the lights, which he received. At 4:48 AM, radar station Utah requested the position of the signals that McClure was receiving, and they immediately confirmed that their radar had detected the objects at the same location. As the RB-47 attempted to pursue, the object appeared to stop suddenly. Chase could see that they were gaining on it, and they over shot it.  At 4:52 it blinked out, and simultaneously vanished from McClure’s scope and the ground radar! Chase put the aircraft into a port turn, and the object suddenly blinked on again, simultaneously reappearing on McClure’s scope and the ground radar at 4:52! They began to close to within 5 miles of the object, when it suddenly dropped to 15,000 feet and then blinked out again, once again vanishing from the scopes and ground radar. At 4:55, Chase radioed Utah radar station that they had to break of pursuit and continue with their scheduled flight plan due to low fuel. At 4:57 McClure picked up the signal again, and at 4:58 Chase made visual contact again. As they headed into Oklahoma, McClure continued to receive a signal, now from the rear of the aircraft, until it finally faded as they neared Oklahoma City. The Director of Intelligence, 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing, stated in his report that he had: …no doubt the electronic D/F’s coincided exactly with visual observations by aircraft cmdr numerous times, thus indicating positively the object being the signal source. NAVY TRANSPORT CREW REPORTED A GIANT ALIEN DISC OVER THE ATLANTIC

1956   ….   ATLANTIC OCEAN
It had happened in 1956. Cruising at 19,000 feet, a Navy R7V-2 transport – a four-engine Super-Constellation – was flying west across the Atlantic Ocean. The next stop was Gander, Newfoundland. Final destination, Naval Air Station, Patuxent, Maryland.  The night was clear, visibility unlimited. In the senior pilot’s seat, Commander George Benton was checking the dim-lit instruments. At thirty-four, Benton had a decade of Navy flying behind him.  He had made the Atlantic crossing more than two hundred times. Back in the cabin were two extra Navy air crews, en route home from foreign duty.  Most of these men were asleep. Including Benton’s regular and relief crews, there were nearly 30 airmen-pilots, navigators and flight engineers aboard the Constellation.  As Commander Benton finished his cockpit check, he glanced out at the stars. Then he leaned forward, puzzled. A few minutes before, the sea below had been dark. Now there was a cluster of lights, like a village, about twenty-five miles ahead.  Benton looked over at his co-pilot, Lieutenant Peter W. Mooney. “What do you make of those lights?” Mooney peered down, startled.  “Looks like a small town!”  “That’s what I thought.” Benton quickly called the navigator, Lieutenant Alfred C. Erdman. “We must be way off course. There’s land down there.” “It can’t be land.” Erdman hurried forward from his map table. “That last star sight shows…” He broke off, staring down at the clustered lights. “Well?” said Benton. “They must be ships,” said Erdman. “Maybe a rendezvous for some special operation.”  Giant Flying Saucers  “They don’t look like ships,” said Benton. He called Radioman John Wiggins. No word of any unusual ship movements, Wiggins reported. And no signals from the location of the lights. If they were ships, they were keeping radio silence. “Wake up those other crews,” Benton told Erdman.  “Maybe somebody can dope it out.” In a few moments, two or three airmen crowded into the cockpit. Benton cut off the automatic pilot, banked to give them and the men in the cabin a better view.  As the transport began to circle, the strange lights abruptly dimmed. Then several colored rings appeared, began to spread out. One, Benton noticed, seemed to be growing in size.  Behind him, someone gave an exclamation. Benton took another look. That luminous ring wasn’t on the surface – it was something rushing up toward the transport. 
 ”What the devil is it?” said Mooney. “Don’t know,” muttered Benton. He rolled the Constellation out of its turn to start a full-power climb. Then he saw it was useless. The luminous ring could catch them in seconds.  The glow, he now saw, came from the rim of some large, round object. It reached their altitude, swiftly took shape as a giant disc-shaped machine.  Dwarfing the Constellation, it raced in toward them. “It’s going to hit us!” said Erdman. Benton had known normal fear, but this was nightmare. Numbed, he waited for the crash.  Suddenly the giant disc tilted. Its speed sharply reduced, it angled on past the port wing. The commander let out his breath. He looked at Mooney’s white face, saw the others’ stunned expressions.  Watching out the port window, he cautiously started to bank. He stopped as he saw the disc.  It had swung around, was drawing abreast, pacing them at about one hundred yards. For a moment he had a clear glimpse of the monster.  Its sheer bulk was amazing; its diameter was three to four times the Constellation’s wing span. At least thirty feet thick at the center, it was like a gigantic dish inverted on top of another.  Seen at this distance, the glow along the rim was blurred and uneven. Whether it was an electrical effect, a series of jet exhausts or lights from opening in the rim, Benton could not tell. But the glow was bright enough to show the disc’s curving surface, giving a hint of dully reflecting metal.  Though Benton saw no signs of life, he had a feeling they were being observed. Fighting an impulse to dive away, he held to a straight course. Gradually, the strange machine pulled ahead.  Tilting its massive shape upward, it quickly accelerated and was lost against the stars.
 

Commander Benton reached for his microphone, called Gander Airport and identified himself. “You show any other traffic out here?” he asked the tower. “We had something on the scope near you,” Gander told him. “But we couldn’t get an answer.”  “We saw it,” Benton said grimly. “It was no aircraft.” He gave the tower a concise report, and back at Gander teletype messages were rushed to the U.S. Air Defense Command, the Commanding Officer, Eastern Sea Frontier, the Director of Air Force Intelligence and the Air Technical Intelligence Center.  When the Constellation landed at Gander, Air Force intelligence officers met the transport. From the start, it was plain they accepted the giant disc sighting as fact.

For two hours, Benton and the rest were carefully interrogated[debriefed], separately and together: How close did the object come? What was its size… estimated rate of climb… any electrical interference noted… what happened to the other luminous rings?  From the answers to scores of questions, the majority opinion emerged. The flying disc was between 350 and 400 feet in diameter, and apparently metallic. No interference with ignition noted; instruments not observed and radio not operating during this brief period.  Time for the giant disc to climb to the transport’s altitude, between five and eight seconds, indicated speed between 1,400 and 2,200 knots; the disc had accelerated above this speed on departure.  Not all the men in the cabin had seen the luminous rings. Of those who had, most were watching the huge disc approach and did not see the “rings” disappear. If they, too, were flying discs, in a rendezvous as some suggested, they apparently had raced off while the other one was checking on the Constellation.  At one point, an Intelligence captain asked Benton if he had seen any indication of life abroad the disc.   Intelligently Controlled  “No, but it was intelligently controlled, that’s certain. Benton looked at him closely. “That size, it would hardly be remote-controlled, would it?” “I couldn’t say,” replied the Air Force man.  Nor would he tell what the Gander Airport radar had shown about the disc’s speed and maneuvers. “What’s behind all this?” demanded Mooney. “Up to now, I believed the Air Force. You people say there aren’t any flying saucer…”  “Sorry, I can’t answer any questions,” said the captain. “Why not? After a scare like that, we’ve got a right to know what’s going on.”

 

 The Intelligence officer shook his head. “I can’t answer any questions,” he repeated.  As quickly as possible, intelligence reports with full details were flashed to the four Defense commanders already notified, with an extra message for the Director of Naval Intelligence.  After the Constellation reached Patuxent, the air crews were interviewed [debriefed] again, by Navy order. Each man made a written report, with his opinion of what he had seen.   Five days later, Commander Benton had a phone call from a scientist in a high government agency. “I’m informed you had a close-up UFO sighting. I’d like to see you.”  Benton checked, found the man was cleared by the Navy. Next day, the scientist appeared, showed his credential, listened intently to Benton’s report. Then he unlocked a dispatch case and took out some photographs.  “Was it like any of these?” At the third picture, Benton stopped him. “That’s it!” He looked sharply at the scientist. “Somebody must know the answers, if you’ve got photographs of the things.”  The other man took the pictures. “I’m sorry, Commander.” He closed his dispatch case and left.  At the time when I (Donald Keyhoe) learned of this case, I had served for two years as Director of the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena.  source:  Flying Saucer Review, Volume 49/2, Summer 2004, pp. 21-23  From the NICAP records, by Major Donald E. Edward J. Ruppelt, head of Project Blue Book, which looked into such matters, chalked it up as “one of the year’s most fascinating sightings.”  “The evening was clear, and visibility was unlimited,” he said.  The pilot and co-pilot of a Pan-American DC4, flying at 8,000 feet on the New York-Miami run, saw a glow in the sky, “that soon resolved itself into six fiery red objects, each of them about 100 feet in diameter,” according to Capt. William B. Nash. “The edges were well defined, not phosphorescent or fuzzy in the least.”  Ruppelt wrote, “their shape was clearly outlined and evidently circular. Nash and co-pilot, William Fortenberry watched in amazement.”  The six disks in a narrow echelon formation were joined by two more, all flying at about 2,000 feet over the Chesapeake Bay. When the disks were almost below the airliner, they dimmed slightly and flipped on edge in unison.  The edges seemed to be about 15 feet thick, and top surfaces appeared to be flat.  After being interrogated by the U.S. Air Force, the two pilots were told the disks had been observed by seven other groups. Project Blue Book checked the positions of all known military and civilian aircraft in the area, finding nothing that would account for the sighting, which went into the official ‘unexplained’ category.  The Air Force, which has constantly fibbed about UFOs, and/or put down those who sighted the “unusual” up there, published a conclusion by author Donald Menzel, who concluded the pilots were fooled by fireflies (honest) trapped by the double panes in the cockpit window (snicker-snicker).  Obviously, many reported sightings were ‘mistakes’ or ‘phonies’ but there are too many that cannot be explained away. Heck, there are billions of stars out there, so it seems ridiculous to conclude we are the only ones with life. And, of course there are probably life forms far different from ours, acclimated to wherever they exist.  A major story concerns the alleged crash of a flying saucer near Roswell, N.M. Bodies were supposedly found inside the craft. Here is where we return to our state: Charles Berlitz and William Moore thoroughly researched the subject and, in a book they penned, noted, “the carefully preserved bodies remained stored (as of the ‘90s) in a CIA warehouse in Langley.”  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

 MARCH 20, 2014  ……     GILA BEND ARIZONA

On our way home from San Diego, California to Tucson, Arizona, my boyfriend and I were driving on Interstate 8. First I witnessed what I thought was a plane, then I realized the lights were much bigger and there was no aircraft, there were 3 round orb-like and orange lights in the shape of a triangle that were moving/flying rapidly upward then suddenly disappeared. At first I was very confused at what it was that I saw and why/how it disappeared, and if it was a plane how this was possible? I was totally perplexed and almost wanted to dis-acknowledge what just took place. What made me notice this was the size and triangular shape of the object and how quickly it was flying upward.

 After 30 minutes later my boyfriend and I were having a conversation when I noticed in my peripheral vision one giant orange circular/orb like light to the right of my vision (South of Gila Bend – seemed to have been outside of Ajo, Arizona). This light was not moving in any direction it was staying still in one spot but it was almost the size of a penny, and was about 20-35 degrees above a mountain. We continued to watch it for 2 & 1/2 minutes until we watched it dissolve into nothing, dissolving from bottom first then top. It almost appeared to look like a mini sun, in the middle of the night, I compare it to this because of how bright it was and the intense aura of light it was emitting, the light was a very bright orange hue and it was sparkling almost like a fireball or star in the sky but much more intensely than anything I’ve ever seen. It appeared out of thin air, there was no trail or streak of light before it appeared, nor was there anything left behind when it disappeared. It just slowly faded away and was gone. While watching this I just had no idea what I was seeing, I knew it wasn’t a plane or a flare because it would have left a streak or trail, I felt in shock at this point and awe at how bright this object was. I almost felt afraid because I had no way to explain what my eyes were witnessing.

Then about ten minutes later after we had driven away from the place we had stopped to watch it, we noticed that 4 more of these orbs appeared in a line. At this point we were further away from them, but they were the same color and shape ( bright orange orbs floating in same spot radiating intense light) then a minute later a 5th one appeared, and for the next 2-5 minutes these orbs continued to appear and disappear across different positions in the sky. Out of nowhere once again, it was as if someone flicked a light switch when they just disappeared. However, when they were still in the sky it did look like they changed shape at one point into a diamond like shape, but then they returned back into orb/circular shapes flickering immensely almost like extremely bright stars/suns. At this point I felt extremely happy/excited that I had seen something out of this world and unexplainable I was just happy and calling everyone I knew sharing that I was witnessing some crazy lights radiating this intense orange light. Then as I drove away I felt afraid and in shock for the unknown. At this point today I would just like to know what I had seen.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

CRASHED SHIP AND ALIEN BODY IN AURORA TEXAS

APRIL 17, 1897    ……     AURORA TEXAS

 On April 17, 1897, a mysterious airship is said to have crashed in the town of Aurora, Texas…exploding into many small fragments. Reportedly, the occupant was child-sized and greenish, and the craft contained papers covered with hieroglyphics. The pilot’s body is supposed to be buried in the local cemeteryLegend has it that residents of Aurora, TX, had their own alien encounter more than 100 years ago. Just north of Fort Worth, Aurora has a population of 376. Something about it is different…mysterious, and some say, down-right weird.  “It’s just a legend,” said Barbara Brammer, Aurora Historian.  April 19, 1897 would change this town’s identity forever.  “They said, ‘Have you heard of the Martian that crashed his aircraft into a well site in Aurora?,’” Brammer said. “And I said, ‘No.” A former mayor, Brammer first heard the story of the UFO crash shortly after her arrival in the 1950s. “I kept the legend going whenever I was teaching or when we had new people in to the community,” she said.  Legend has it that in 1897 a number of reports came in from across the country of a cigar-shaped flying machine. An article in the “Dallas Morning News” reported that the craft came crashing down in Aurora. Today, the “crash site” is an old well, sealed with concrete. “About noon, the fire had gone out enough that they could get in there and see what really happened,” Brammer said. 

 According to a report filed by an Army officer from nearby Fort Worth, in the crash debris was the body of the pilot said to be badly disfigured and ‘not of this world.’ “They scraped up all the stuff that they could find, brought it down here to the cemetery and gave him a Christian burial,” Brammer said.  The grave site remains today under a tree in the old section of the cemetery. “They eventually came down and put a marker on it,” Brammer said. “The marker has been gone for several years.” It was stolen, Brammer believes, by souvenir hunters. The cemetery has been designated a “Texas Historical” site for, among other things, the legend of the UFO pilot.  No one has ever been able to prove the story or rule it out. In the 1970s, The Texas Mutual UFO network asked to dig up the grave but was denied. “The cemetery board said, ‘You’re not going to touch that,’” Brammer said. Board members denied the request, she said, because they were worried Spotted Fever, which wiped out much of Aurora around the time of the incident, would rear its ugly head again.  In 2008, another group of UFO hunters used ground-penetrating radar and did find a mysterious, unmarked grave. But the grave was so deteriorated, the radar simply could not identify what was there. So, the alien mystery continues, and the legend of Aurora is the only real thing that remains.  “It’s a good story,” Brammer said. “It’s got to be a good story.
