JULY 16, 1970 ………. SAIGON VIETNAM
On a hot summer night about 2-3 am in Vietnam I think it was Quon Loî . I was atop a bunker on guard duty. When an object at star distance caught my eye because of its rapid movements. Not wanting to lose sight I grabbed my Starlight scope and observed this object seen to withdrawal into space then forward. Would shoot across in a horizontal manner and appeared to do it at an incredible speed. Still through the starlight scope could not even begin to estimate its size ? Except star size. Never called it in as I was in awe. Until a few years later and the Movie Close Encounters of The Third Kind came out. Freaked me out soo much. Never told this story to the public.
