On May 26, 1987, commercial airline pilot Randy Etting took a nighttime walk near his home in Newtown, Connecticut. He often studied the skies when he walked, trying to identify passing planes. At around 9:45, he observed some orange and red lights approaching from the west. He got his binoculars and called his neighbors to come outside. Etting said that as the UFO passed over Interstate 84, cars pulled over to watch. And indeed, between 9:30 and 10:15 P.M., more than 200 people phoned police to report a UFO. The object displayed a semicircular pattern of very bright multicolored lights. Several drivers reported that their cars had lost power as the lights passed by. About 15 minutes later, calls started coming in from New Milford, about 14 miles north, alerting authorities that the lights — reported by many to be connected to an object “larger than a football field” — were hovering there. The lights eventually vanished, but the mystery remains.
UFO sightings are being investigated by the Ministry of Defence.
Two experienced airline pilots on separate flights saw something
up to a mile wide off the coast of Alderney on Monday afternoon.
Surprisingly, Jersey radar equipment did not pick up the object,
although an air traffic controller said he had received
simultaneous reports from the Aurigny and Blue Islands pilots.
Aurigny’s Captain Ray Bowyer, 50, said he saw the strange object
during a flight from Southampton.
He spotted a bright-yellow light 10 miles west of Alderney while
his plane was about 30 miles from the island and at 4,000ft.
“It was a very sharp, thin yellow object with a green area. It
was 2,000ft up and stationary,” he said.
“I thought it was about 10 miles away, although I later realised
it was approximately 40 miles from us. At first, I thought it
was the size of a 737.”
A 737 is slightly smaller than a jumbo jet.
“But it must have been much bigger because of how far away it
was. It could have been as much as a mile wide.”
As he continued his approach to Alderney, Capt. Bowyer saw a
second identical object further to the west.
“It was exactly the same but looked smaller because it was
further away. It was closer to Guernsey.”
The sightings come days after reports that scientists have
discovered outside our solar system an Earth-like planet capable
of supporting extraterrestrial life.
“I can’t explain it. At first, I thought it might have been a
reflection from a vinery in Guernsey, but that would have
disappeared quickly. This was clearly visual for about nine
minutes.”
The sightings happened at about 3pm. Capt. Bowyer, who has flown
commercial planes for about 20 years, said he had described the
objects to air traffic control and filled in an incident report.
“As I got closer to it, it became clear to me that it was
tangible. I was in two minds about going towards it to have a
closer look but decided against it because of the size of it. I
had to think of the safety of the passengers first.”
He added that the experience had been quite scary.
“I”m certainly not saying that it was something of another
world. All I”m saying is that I have never seen anything like it
before in all my years of flying.”
Paul Kelly, 31, the air traffic controller who was on duty, said
the Blue Islands pilot had made a similar report, but nothing
had appeared on his radar.
“The pilot from Blue Islands was en route to Jersey at the same
time and as he went past Sark he described an object behind him
to his left,” he said.
“The description was very similar to Captain Bowyer’s and they
described it as being in exactly the same place. But they were
looking at it from opposite sides.”
The pilot told him the object had been 1,500ft beneath his
plane.
The Blue Islands plane was at 3,500ft at the time so, again,
both pilots placed it at the same altitude.
“If the object was stationary, our equipment would not have picked it up because the radar would have screened it out.” NOTE: The above image is CGI.
We have a camp in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont which we go to every Friday and leave to go home every Monday morning. This Sunday night I was sitting in my car listening to the Superbowl on the am radio as we have no power, tv etc in our camp. Couldn’t get game on fm radio so went out to listen in my car. Was warm for this area and time of year so was not uncomfortable to be outside. I would have no idea of the event time except for the time on my photos as I was paying attention to the game.
As we have no electric lights it is very dark in the yard which made it immediately apparent when the sky became bright. I had my phone in my hand and snapped 3 pictures before the aircraft flew away. My boyfriend only saw the sky light up and not the actual event as he was inside getting us drinks and snacks. I showed the pictures to my friend yesterday and he told me to send them to you. I have had other sightings in this area but never anything like this and I’ve never taken a picture before.

Late on the evening of 21st January 1976, Bruce sat in his truck on the outskirts of Clovis, New Mexico, near to the transmitter of the KMTY FM 99.1 radio station, for whom he worked part-time to help fund his way through college in order to pursue a career in journalism.
He wasn’t supposed to work this evening and was called in last minute as the station wished to perform tests on the transmitter. They required someone to be at the location, and needing the money as always, Bruce agreed to the extra work. Needless to say, it was a night he would not forget.
As a journalist, he was surely thankful for the fact he was placed in exactly the right location to witness the upcoming events.
It was as he was sitting in his truck looking out on the odd patches of light dotted around below, including those of Cannon Air Force Base, when he noticed three strange lights in the sky. The way they appeared would lead him to later describe them as “like lightbulbs on a string”.
Then, two of the lights dropped quickly to the ground, seemingly stopping before collision and hovering. The third light remained stationary above.
Due to his duty as a “storm spotter”, Bruce always carried around his storm spotters kit, which included a pair of binoculars. As he sat watching these strange hovering lights, he reached for them and placed them to his eyes to observe the two lower objects.
An Incident With “Classic Saucer Shaped” Crafts
Amazed at what he was seeing, Bruce took in as much detail as possible. Once magnified, these lights had a “classic saucer shape” to them. Each had a “bluish glow” around them, although the underside sent a “red radiant glow” downwards. Also clear, was the distinct “dome shape” on the top of each craft.
He kept the binoculars trained on the two craft. After several minutes they began to move off, slowing and in perfect parallel unison to each other. He would follow them for around fifteen minutes in total as they moved calmly over the largely unsuspecting citizens below.
It was clear their mission was to intercept, and they would head straight for the four glowing crafts. However, each time one of the jets would get in the immediate vicinity of the crafts, they would shoot to another part of the sky at breakneck speeding. The jets were, by comparison, clunky and lumbering. And were seemingly no match for these apparently advanced objects.
As the objects made these sharp and extremely precise turns, a strange “plasma-type glow” was briefly visible in the sky. From the tallest building on campus, the small group would watch the desperate attempts of the F-111 jets with an almost unrestricted view.
Everyone Was “Freaking Out” At Cannon Air Force Base
It was around 45 minutes later at around 1:30 am when events ended. The objects, after leading the jets all around the night sky, suddenly “shot up and were gone in a second”. The jets returned to base, their pilots undoubtedly awash with a mixture of bewilderment and frustration.
One of the witnesses, using his powerful telescope, had a clear view of the base, and specifically, the flight line of the runway. He would report that when he followed the objects as they swooped down to the runway, all of the lights would go out, much like Bruce recalled the lights of the town dimming the previous evening as the strange crafts passed over them.
Interestingly, using his many contacts based at Cannon Air Force Base (he would regularly take requests for music on air at the radio station when working as a disc jockey), Bruce would discover that the entire base suffered a complete power outage during part of the incident.
Furthermore, according to Bruce’s contacts, everyone at the base – including superior officers – were “freaking out” due to the sudden appearance of these strange objects. This, as well as the scrambling of the jets would suggest that whoever, or whatever, was behind these crafts, the United States military – at least those at Cannon Air Force Base – were not privy to their plans or reasons.
The contact would also reveal more to Bruce – on the condition that he not reveal where the information came from. He would claim a new, bright lighting system was immediately being put in place (it appeared within days of the incident), and even more intriguing, the base had quietly recorded radar confirmation of activity from both night in question. A bit of a weird one. I have always prided myself in my ability to spot an aircraft type at extreme distances. As a kid in the Cadets, I used to enter and win most the aircraft recognition competitions, and have managed to keep updated in the latest types, and though I may have a colour perception problem, my eyesight, specially at distances is excellent, as some pilot friends would testify. And, through my gliding, I also have a good handle on weather and atmospheric events. The reason for the info is due to a wee aerial sighting I had on Sunday afternoon. I was sitting in Mum’s back garden enjoying the weather, and watching the Planes climbing out of Edinburgh, when I caught a flash of reflected light way out over the capital, well above the departing aircraft’s altitude. I thought it was another plane flying quite high, but using an upright on the fence and the corner of next door’s roof as a reference, I noticed it was not moving. Clouds passed in the wind, but this did not move or climb, or drift away. It just stayed there. I watched for about half an hour, and then decided to go out to the car for my camera. It has a very long telephoto, X63, so was going to try and get a picture. I honestly expected it to be gone when I returned, but it was still there. Anyway, my camera having auto- focus only made it a bit of a problem zooming in and focusing due to the distance and some heat shimmer, but managed to get a couple of shots at maximum zoom. It appears to be two separate objects close to each other. and they still had not moved position from my first sight of them. Lining up for another shot, I had it in the reticle, but during focusing it just suddenly vanished. Though I looked all over, it had gone. Weird! I have no idea what it was, and did not look or behave like anything I know of, and that in itself is unusual. To be honest, it could be a couple of large silver balloons stuck in a patch of still air (very doubtful), or as the say, “Swamp Gas”. What I can say without any doubts is that it was not an airplane or a helicopter. A bit of a mystery.
The hot July evening in the summer of 1995 would present Mike and Debbie with an opportunity to invite their close friends and neighbors, Steve and Annie, around for some cold drinks and a “last-minute” barbecue. Needless to say, the evening would also present them with an experience as life-changing as it was terrifying.
It was shortly after 10 pm when Mike first lit the barbecue. By 10:40 pm, chicken legs, burgers, and sausages were on the griddle. Each of them sat around a small garden table nursing a pint glass of ice cold cider.
Quite literally, out of nowhere, a huge, round disc-shaped craft hovered over them no more than twenty feet from the ground. On the underside, bright white lights, moving in an anti-clockwise direction, would light up the garden. Suddenly, a door opened in the dark metallic object, and a column of light reached down to the ground. As it did so, all four of the witnesses would report how time seemed to slow down and their surroundings became “dream-like!”
Steve would later recall “It was as if we had entered a vacuum. All sound seemed to have stopped, and everything went into slow motion!”
The craft then moved away, slowly at first, then with increasing pace. As they maintained their watch over it, all four began to feel intense nausea and stomach pains. This last point is particularly interesting as many who report similar encounters also report such immediate symptoms.
Then, Steve noticed the food on the barbecue – which itself was now cooling – had burnt to a crisp. A check of his watch revealed it was approaching midnight. What they thought had been a matter of minutes, appeared to be almost an hour and a half.
Hypnotic Regression
Mike would make a report to the police, who would appear to treat the matter seriously, taking statements from all four people. They would also check if items were missing from the property. Bizarrely, two of the pint glasses were, and remain so, even today.
It would be the police who would refer the case to the aforementioned Dodd (himself a former police officer). Utilizing the expertise of Joyce Dinsdale, all four of the witnesses would agree to hypnotic regression in an effort to unlock the events of that hot, summer evening.
Each would speak separately from the others, and each told the same story.
They noticed the light shortly after lighting the barbecue. Distant at first, it would grow rapidly until it was practically on top of them, flashing as it did. The craft was round with a dome structure on the top. The lights on the underside of the craft were so bright, it would almost blind them.
At this point, each of them stated their next memories were of realizing they were no longer in the garden.
Debbie and Annie
Debbie would state during regression, “I am on my own! I am not in the garden anymore!” The lights still shone brightly into her line of sight. “I can see shadows,” she would recall, “I can see different colored lights. I can see eyes looking at me, they’re big and black, not like ours!”
She would then declare her realization that she lay on “something hard with my back raised!” She could see movement around her, but could only describe them as “shadows”. Debbie would describe the roof of the room as being strange and coming “down to walls without a joining!”
Annie would state the same account, although she appeared to recall the events leading to going on board the craft. After the column of light touched the ground, she would state a “small figure” dressed in a strange, black cloak with a hood appeared in the garden.
“It’s got a strange, pale face with a pointed chin, and very large black eyes,” she would claim under regression. Two more of these beings appeared as if out of nowhere. Annie would recall, “They’ve got hold of my arms. They’re dragging me towards the light!” She also claimed that the beings appeared to communicate with each other by making “strange, animal-like grunting noises!”
The next thing Annie would recall, she was in a round room with “loads of people around the sides of the room. (They are) little people. They are all wearing cloaks with hoods!”
She would describe much the same procedure as Debbie, including that the beings had three fingers and made a strange noise that left her unnerved. The next thing she knew, she was standing in the garden, watching the craft turn into a mere speck of light in the distance.
Steve and Mike
Annie’s husband, Steve, would recall similar details. After describing the same scenario of the craft descending upon them, he would recall being in a “bright room, with lots of small people!” Like Annie, he would claim these beings were wearing cloaks with hoods. However, he would go on to say they were “like black tin foil, but not tin foil!”
Steve would state to being in a “transparent tube, without seams” which the small beings were all gathered around, looking in at him. He would recall his removal from the tube and being taken over to another room. He would describe under hypnosis that, “It’s a very big room. I can see all sorts in here. I can see loads of little people, moving around. They’ve got white stuff – like balls of white stuff in their hands. They’re carrying it. I don’t know what it is!”
He would also recall seeing a board on the wall with “figures of planets (on it). I can see Saturn, Earth and all the planets!”
He was then “back in the tube!” As he gasped for breath, he found himself back in the garden, with Annie, Debbie, and Mike, watching the craft disappear into the night sky.
Although Dinsdale attempted to regress Mike to recall his version of events, he became so terrified that they decided it would be unsafe to his mental health to proceed any further. Needless to say, this reaction alone shows that something alarming must have occurred that evening.
The Aftermath
According to Dodd, writing in his book, “Alien Investigator”, all four of the witnesses were more than uncomfortable with what had happened that evening. Despite the initial investigation and regression sessions, none would opt to maintain contact with Dodd. Neither have any of them opted to “tell their story” for financial gain.
That “something” happened that evening on an otherwise quiet street in Derbyshire in the summer of 1995 is beyond doubt. Just what took place is very much open to debate. Some details of the account, however, mirror other such reports.
The “seamless” or “without joints” descriptions of the crafts themselves is of interest. Many witnesses who get close enough to report such details, all state the crafts to look like one piece of material, molded into shape.
The feeling of nausea and stomach pains is another detail that surfaces time and again across many reports. Might this be a reaction to the (presumed) radiation of the craft itself? Or might it be more directly connected to the “procedures” that abductees report taking place?
Perhaps the overriding question would be, who exactly is responsible for these abductions? And, given the similar detail, are they the same abductors, carrying out such acts for one final cause? And in the case of Mike, Steve, Debbie, and Annie, was it merely chance that this happened to them? Were they just in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or might they – as many UFO researchers believe – have been “selected” by their abductors?

Although it is separated by a little over 100 miles, a UFO landing in Ashland Wisconsin, also in the north-west of the state, occurred only several months later on the evening of 13th March 1975. At around 1 am, 15-year-old Jane Baker went outside to put the family’s cats in the garage where they spent the night.
She made her way to the outbuilding, a regular journey made each night. As she did she suddenly became aware of a “strange high-toned” noise. When she turned around to look in the direction of the sound, she witnessed a brightly lit object. Like a “silvery disc with a domed top” hovering above. Red and green lights flashed around the edge of it.
She quickly placed the cats in the garage and then rushed back to the house to tell her father, Philip Baker, of the strange craft. She would state to him that there was something “on the hill up the road”.
Bemused but intrigued, he put on his shoes and followed his daughter outside. Although the flashing lights had now disappeared, as had the strange noise, the craft itself was still very visible. And what’s more, it appeared to be descending.
Suddenly, a sound like “metal-on-metal” rang out making each of them jump somewhat. They each watched the strange object for several moments longer before rushing back inside to contact authorities.
As Philip spoke to the Undersheriff on the phone about what he and his daughter had witnessed, another large bang rang out almost making the house rumble. When Jane rushed to the window, she stated that the object had seemingly disappeared.
A Second Sighting The Following Day!
Before the disappearance of the craft, while Philip was dialing the authorities, his wife, and his three sons also rushed to the windows, witnessing the craft through the glass for several minutes. Although police would take the Baker’s report, there was no sign of the craft following the second large bang.
The next morning, however, Jane would witness the object again while looking out over a swamp near the family home. The lights were no longer flashing. But the shape and size of the object were almost identical to the previous evening.
She would go and put on a thicker coat to combat the early morning winter weather. She would then head out towards the location of the object. With her, she had one the family’s pet dog. She could clearly see it as she approached, hovering just above the treetops.
Suddenly, though, the dog would stop in its tracks, whining and refusing to move forward any further. Despite attempting to pull it gently along with her, it would refuse to move. She would take it back in the house and then returned outside. However, by the time she got to the spot where the dog had stopped, the object was no longer there.
A Connection To The Legends Of Forest-Dwelling Beasts Of Wisconsin?
Jane would return to the location of the sighting later that afternoon. Along with two of her brothers, John, and Monty. They noticed that a slightly round impression was visible that “fluffed-up” the snow.
There was also a tire track from a car that appeared to pass over the circle. This indicated, if the circle was due to the craft, that the car had passed over it at some point in the last few hours. Other than that, however, there was no other sign that anything out of the ordinary had taken place. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

At a little after 10:30 pm on the 2nd December 1974, 68-year-old, William Bosak, experienced an incident unlike any other through all of his 40 years working as a dairy farmer in Polk County, Wisconsin.
On this particular evening, he was returning back to his farm and property following a farmer’s meeting of the Fanner co-operative in the nearby town of Frederic. He was around a mile away from his farm when he first spotted the strange, glowing object at the side of the road.
The thick fog patches rolling in from the open fields had caused him to drive slower than usual. And as he continued to negotiate his way along the road, he could see that the object was not glowing but reflecting his headlights as they cut through the air in front of him. With the object now a lot closer he began to slow up even further.
He began to take in details of the object as best he could through the patches of fog and overall darkness of the hour. He would later state to the media: It had a curved front of glass and inside I could see a figure with its arms raised above its head!
He could see the occupant, who aside from differences (which we will come back to shortly) was decidedly humanoid, through a “transparent sector” in the exterior of the craft which was, for all intents and purposes seemingly a window. He would estimate the craft was around ten feet in height and was a tall disc or dome shape. Then, Bosak returned his attention to the window and the humanoid occupant inside.
A “Different Kind Of Creature” Than You Might See On Earth!
He would later describe to the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) Field Investigator, Everett Lightner. He would claim that the creature was most definitely a “different kind” than anyone might see on Earth. Bosak would state that despite looking “a good deal” like a person, it had more of a “cow-looking face”.
He would further state, however, how the creature’s face was “hairless” with a “beardless chin”. While it appeared to be dressed in a tight-fitting garment, the attire had the appearance of a “brown fur”. No other distinguishing features were visible such as zips, buttons, or a collar.
He would let his eyes drift downward in an attempt to take in further features. However, the fog, which continued to roll over the road in thick patches, covered the lower part of both the humanoid and the craft.
Still sat in his vehicle, which had now come to a complete stop, he and the strange creature inside the craft locked eyes. The visual standoff lasted around ten seconds. However, it felt much longer. And while there were no signs of threatening action on either side, Bosak was beginning to feel a surge of fear rise up within him. Indeed, he would state that the creature appeared: …just as scared as I was!
Unable to maintain his composure any longer, Bosak would slam his foot on the accelerator and sped away from the scene as fast as he could.
A Mad Scramble For Home!
As he was rushing away from the craft, the fog still rushing towards him out of the darkness, he suddenly noticed his surroundings grow decidedly darker. As if something was over the top of him blocking what little light there was.
Then, the car engine itself began to struggle, eventually cutting out altogether. As he looked around alarmed and made efforts to restart the car, he heard a “soft whooshing sound” seemingly coming from overhead. Almost immediately following this came the sound of scratching, like “branches scratching the roof” of the vehicle.
It was at this point when he pressed the gas pedal down as hard as it would go, no longer concerned with the patches of fog coming from random areas the dark night environment.
Eventually, and much to his great relief the sight of his home reached his eyes. He rushed into the house and after calming himself made his way to a window overlooking the location of the encounter.
He stared intently through the mist, seemingly even thicker from the higher vantage point of his property’s window. Try as he might, however, he couldn’t see anything in the area that would suggest anything strange had taken place.
Regrets At Non-Attempt To Communicate
The following morning, perhaps comforted a little with the onset of daylight, Bosak would return to the location of the bizarre encounter. He looked desperately for some kind of marking or impression on the ground as proof of the incident taking place. However, despite his efforts, no such evidence remained.
Bosak himself would maintain his opinion that the creature he saw was not from Earth. And very much from another world. And what’s more, he would stick to this version of events for the rest of his life. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Green, red, white, and blue lights were reported performing strange maneuvers on the night of March 8, 1994.
Cindy Pravda of Grand Haven said in an interview saying that she noticed 4 bright lights just above tree line when she took a glance out to the backyard. These lights remained visible to Pravda for around 10 minutes before one of them moved slowly to the left. She said that the light looked like moving above the highway next to their house and then slowly travelled back in the formation.
The entire unusual sighting lasted for around 30 minutes, but Pravda was not sure if a much bigger object comprised those lights. In a television UFO Hunters shown in the History Channel in 2008, she recounted the event in an episode titled UFO Emergency.
On the same night, 911 operators were busy attending calls from eyewitnesses who were claiming to have observed something that seemed a string of Christmas lights in the sky.
The sighting was not only reported in Ottawa County, but it stretched as far as Lake Michigan. Many sources say that there were 300 witnesses, including several police officers.
Because of so many reports from Ottawa County, 911 operators called National Weather Service radar operator at Muskegon. The recorded conversation of the call by 911 to weather bureau revealed that the radar operator observed sudden movements of the object and several objects recorded on the radar screen.
The radar recorded a movement 20 miles in 10 seconds. The radar operator said that he had 3 things on the radar and they were in a triangular formation. The mysterious objects hovered above Holland and travelled southwest. He said that one travelled away in the formation but later moved back in.
Radar operator also said that he observed 3 and sometimes 4 blips and he was sure that they were not airplanes. It was noted that known aircraft would register as pinpoints on the scope, but the radar registered size of half a thumbnail. Based on the returns on the radar, the objects were estimated to be 5,000 to 12,000 feet moving in rapid motion towards Chicago.
Ottawa County held serious discussions about the UFOs, but to this day, the sightings were never sufficiently explained. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
On August 16, 1945, 20 mile southeast of San Antonio, New Mexico, Reme Baca and Jose Padilla literally stumbled across the remains of what they believe to have been an alien spacecraft. Their personal account of the case displays many of the key ingredients of crashed UFO lore:
In August of 1945 Jose Padilla and Reme Baca said they were sent out on horseback from the Padilla Ranch in San Antonio, New Mexico tasked to check on Jose’s father’s herd of new cows.
What they were sent to do and what they claimed to have experienced was nothing short of what actually occurred to them that frightening afternoon.
With their horses tethered as they hid behind a rock in the distant reaches of the New Mexico desert – Jose 9 and Reme 7 years of age at the time – were awe-struck by the sound of thunder and the grinding thud of something strange that came to earth on the Padilla Ranch in San Antonio, New Mexico.
With trepidation tendered by child-like watchfulness they approached the crash site to within 200 yards to witness a craft stuck in rock and sand; its charred 30 foot hull shrouded in dust and burned ash had skidded to rest at the end of a wide plough-like furrow the length of a football field.
Using binoculars they saw strewn wreckage, strange creatures and military activity that would haunt them for days to come and – for the rest of their lives.
All of this occurring two full years before the archetype of all UFO crashes on the Foster Ranch outside the small town of Corona, New Mexico a mere 67 miles from Roswell.

I witnessed a streak of light that passed directly over the roof of my house, 1 mile from the Licky hills in Birmingham South. The sighting occurred in the early hours of the morning , it appeared to be heading west. It was similar in general appearance to a star wars-type of laser beam with very defined edges to the light streak.
It was about 100 ft. at most above the house roof and was gone in about 1/-1/2 of a second. It disappeared over the tops of the houses at the bottom of my garden. This occurred during August, 2006. It was certainly not a meteorite, comet, low flying plane, nor helicopter. We are only a few miles from Birmingham airport on or near a flight path and familiar with the over flying aircraft, etc.
Also, on August 11, 2007, between 3-4: 00 PM, a red and silvery figure-of-eight type object flew quite rapidly towards us from direction of the airport. It stopped in the sky as observed from between the rooftops. At first we thought the object was a child’s helium balloon, but it remained in the same spot for three or four minutes-time enough for me to get my binoculars and take a closer look.
It alternated from red to silver with a darker band through the middle [like two half circles joined in the middle]. The air was shimmering around the object and closer inspection was difficult. It completely disappeared into a cloudless sky.
Further sightings occurred on Janurary 27-28, 2008, witnessed by both myself and my wife.
1. 7.50 PM-a crescent formation of maybe thirty lights very high in the night sky heading south.
2. 8.05 PM-after flashing, a small lead torch, three lights in triangle formation over flew the house then began what I can only describe as ‘dancing’ around each other within the triangle shape. It was silent and low.
3. 11.38 PM-again after flashing torch, a string of about thirteen lights again over flew the house, this time in a Y-formation with the cup at the front end swooping low and veering slightly to the right. When I flashed my torch at them, all lights moving as one unit heading east. All sightings were silent against a starry sky. Light were bigger than surrounding stars but slightly dimmer.

I’ve attempted to do a few diagrams to illustrate the sightings that we have recently had. I’m obviously not seeking any attention here, but really believe that there are ‘objects’ out there doing ‘something’ wherever they originate from.
Whether they specifically responded directly to my signaling [with a small led type torch] or not is open to debate, but I feel that they were at least curious as to my motives for doing so.
There was no noise of any kind throughout any of the sightings and no time lost. The lights were not as bright as the surrounding star map though slightly bigger in appearance. The sky was scant/patchy clad cloud cover, ink black.
The crescent object was flying high and fast-about six seconds before lost to view. The Y-shape lasted about four/five seconds though it seemed much longer to me, and flight was tight and smooth, arcing a little in ‘response?’ to my signaling.
The triangle just seemed to appear from above, swooped in overhead and began to dance [as in each light revolving around each other in an apparently random fashion] before passing to my left, and sweeping up into the sky, again before rapidly being lost to view.
The summer day sighting traveled in from the direction of Birmingham airport [north to us] quite rapidly in three to four seconds, before stopping dead and hanging in the sky quite motionless. [I had time to send my wife: chauvinistic I know, for my binoculars and after trying to focus on the object, couldn’t make out more than a shimmering figure of eight, silvery on top, reddish underneath view of it] for about five to six minutes.
It then sort of grew rapidly smaller and disappeared… into a cloudless sky. The overhead streak was caught as I paid a late night/early morning check on my young boys in their room during the school summer break around late August/early September.
I felt drawn to lift the net curtain and look up and out of the bedroom window. It shot very rapidly away as in the diagram and the whole sighting took maybe less than 1/2 second. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Udo Wartena, a 37-year-old of Dutch origin was working as a part-time gold miner for the Northwest Mining Company in May 1940 in Townsend, Montana. On this particular morning, at a little after 10 am, Wartena was near a site at the base of Boulder Mountain near Canyon Ferry Lake where he had discovered indications of gold ore several weeks earlier.
He had been returning to the site on-and-off since and was moving boulders in an attempt to divert the waters nearby to aid in his mining mission. As he did this, he suddenly became aware of a strange humming sound. At first, he thought it might be an aircraft flying over the area. However, when the sound persisted, he began to look around a little more eagerly.
Still not able to see anything he began to make his way to a raised part of ground nearby. Perhaps someone was approaching in a vehicle, he thought. However, as he stepped onto to the risen plateau, he could see in front of him where he had made the makeshift dam was a large, metallic object hovering in the air. He would later state:
…(it was like) two soup plates, one inverted over the other. (They were) stainless steel in color, though not as bright and shiny!
As he watched, half in awe and half in confusion, ladder-like stairs began to emerge from the underside of the disc-shaped craft. Then, a “man” walked down them and began towards Wartena’s location.
Aside from the craft, the man looked to be exactly that. Wartena would recall he donned a pair of “light gray overalls” and wore “slippers or moccasins” on his feet. Furthermore, he had a “circular cap” on his head the same color as his bodily attire, covering extremely white hair.
Not “Custom To Interrupt” Or “Allow Themselves To Be Seen!”
At this stage, “somewhat more than interested”, Wartena made his towards the newcomer. As the pair neared, the visitor stretched out his hand to Wartena and shook his hand. This mysterious person went on to tell Wartena that “they” were not aware that there was anyone in the area (meaning Wartena). He would then go on to inform the miner that it was “not their custom to interrupt or allow themselves to be seen”.
Then, the man asked Wartena if it would be OK if they might “take some water” to which he readily agreed. This is an interesting point. We have mentioned numerous times about the connection between close-range UFO sightings and the placement of large bodies of water nearby.
Furthermore, many close contact sightings, including many of the mysterious airship sightings across the United States almost 50 years previously in 1897 also featured occupants who appeared to be human, who would often ask for supplies of water.
While the man signaled for a hose-type device which emerged from the hovering craft, Wartena studied him a little closer. He would later recall that:
…his English was like mine, but he spoke slowly. As if he were a linguist and had to pick his way!
Then, the man turned to Wartena and, motioning to the hovering metallic disc, asked if he would like to go aboard the craft.
Hundreds Of Years Old – As “You Measure Time”
Without hesitation, Wartena agreed and followed the man to the disc. He would later recall that the humming, although not particularly loud, “seemed to go through” him the nearer he got to it. He would later recall his first thoughts as he went inside this futuristic and otherworldly craft:
We entered into a room about twelve by sixteen feet, with a close-fitting sliding door on the farther end, indirect lighting near the ceiling, and nice upholstered benches around the sides!
Incidentally, all of these descriptions match with many other reports of people who claim to have been inside similar crafts.
Wartena would notice another man in the room, as if waiting for them. Like the man who had greeted him outside, he also had pure white hair. For reasons he wasn’t quite sure of, he would ask them how old they were. They would respond that one was “about 600-years-old” while the other was “over 900 years of age” – at least how people on Earth “measure time”.
Perhaps interesting, they would also state that they wished to take water from the stream as it was “free of algae” and purer. With regards to the apparent interest in water supplies such UFOs and their occupants have, Wartena would offer that the hydrogen is converted and used to power the crafts.
A Craft That “Creates Its Own Gravity!”
Even more intriguing, if we accept the claims to be without a doubt true for just a moment, is the information volunteered to him in response to further questions about the craft. According to Wartena’s memories of the conversation, he was told:
…as you noticed we are floating above the ground, and though the ground slopes the ship is level, There are in the outside rim, two flywheels. One turning one way, and the other in the opposite direction!
He would continue that this “overcomes the gravitational pull of the Earth and other planets”. And essentially, that this device gives the craft its own “gravitational pull”. This, he would state, allows the crafts to ride such gravitational pulls or waves like “you do when you sail on ice”.
This is again an interesting detail. And one that is remarkably similar to how Bob Lazar would describe the workings of such otherworldly crafts. Further still, Wartena would recall that these “flywheels” also created “an electromagnetic force”, which again is remarkably similar in detail to information from other researchers, whistleblowers, and people of close contact encounters.
Wartena would admit he was ignorant of such phrases as “electromagnetic forces and energies”. However, he also states that he was made aware of how important it was that humanity understood and developed such energy sources.
Once more, Wartena would begin to relay information about how the crafts could use the energy of a distant star and then “skip upon the light waves” to travel there which, once again, would share distinct similarities to the aforementioned Lazar.
We “Mingle With Your People” And “Give Help” When Required!
What is perhaps also interesting is how Lazar would claim to have learned his information. According to him, while working on top secret projects for the United States’ government. Using recovered alien technology from the 1940s, no less. Most believe that to be the wreckage from the Roswell crash. If we are to believe the accounts, however, there were many such crashes throughout the forties.
These visitors would offer that they also had alternative sources of energy. One of which they derived (and stored) from the sun and other similar stars.
Perhaps even stranger was that, while they didn’t say they were “human” or “alien”, the man would offer to Wartena they “look pretty much as you do”. And what’s more that they:
…mingle with your people, gather information, leave instructions or give help where needed!
They would state they “lived among” humans on occasion. This would suggest a covert, behind-the-scenes agenda that had been in place long prior to 1940. How far back this secret presence goes is perhaps open to debate.
Perhaps also of interest, certainly from the Ancient Astronaut theory perspective, is the response of the “man” regarding their knowledge and beliefs in “Jesus Christ” and religion in general. According to Wartena, he would state to him:
…I would like to speak of these things but are unable. We cannot interfere in anyway!
Many subscribers to the Ancient Astronaut theory suggest that many of the world’s religions are a consequence of “extraterrestrial intervention” in the distant past. Does the response of the white-haired humanoid man suggest that this intervention was unintentional? Or might it suggest interference from a different extraterrestrial race than the ones Wartena met at Boulder Mountain?
A Decline To “Go With Them!”
Before he left the craft they would volunteer other pieces of information to Wartena. For example, his mysterious hosts would offer, and carry out, a scan of his entire body for “impurities”. This, with something similar to an X-Ray machine.
The men would also offer him the chance to “go with them”. Something which seems to come up, for whatever reason, in lots of close encounter incidents. Especially ones from before the 1960s when the “gray alien abduction” phenomena first began to creep into such incidents. His response is also interesting. He would recall years later:
I said that I thought it would be interesting but felt it would inconvenience too many people. Later, I wondered why I said that!
Once more, this is a seemingly “standard” response from people given such a chance to explore the universe with seemingly (and essentially) immortal cosmic explorers. However, with that in mind, Wartena himself would recall an incident of a local man. Who seemingly vanished without a trace only two years previously.
The man in question resided and walked around the same terrain as he. Wardena would often wonder if this young man might have happened upon the same visitors as he. Only he had chosen to go with them.
An encounter already intriguing to the full would take a further twist. The visitors would issue a final piece of advice as he left the ship. They would state to him that he should “tell no one” of his encounter. They would, of course, not believe him. However, “in years to come” he would be able to speak publicly without such fear. SEPTEMBER 22, 1964 ………VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE CALIFORNIA
On the morning of 22nd September 1964, Robert Jacobs prepared to oversee a test launch of an Atlas missile. It was perfect conditions for viewing any aerial object in the sky. While it was still dark on the ground, objects at a certain altitude in the sky above would catch the rising sun’s light and glow magnificently against the still dark background. And what’s more, this is the case for objects hundreds of miles away.
These conditions were very much present on this morning. And further still, only if viewed from one spot – Big Sur, to the “north and west of Vandenberg”. The brief that Jacobs and his team were working too was to get “side-on” shots of the missile launch and more specifically its climb and “stages of flight”. Specifically, Jacobs would state that their mission statement, in part, was to:
… (provide information) on the minute events following propellant depletion – at a distance of from 300 to 800 nautical miles!
In fact, so serious was the desire to capture such fine and detailed imagery that the Boston University telescope was literally hauled onto a truck and transplanted to a very specific spot at Big Sur.
Incidentally, we should note that Jacobs was unsure of the exact date, but subsequent research suggests the 22nd September is accurate. Whatever the date, the events that would follow were very real. And what’s more, according to Jacobs, would “inspire an official government cover-up and provoke an investigation and search for the filmed record”. A search which continues still.
Missile And Anti-Missile Technology Against The Back Drop Of The Cold War!
The small team gathered at a safe distance, ready to watch the events they were about to record on the monitors. The launches themselves were part of the Nike-Zeus project, which looked to develop “anti-missile” technology – at least officially. Against the ever-present threat of the Cold War, such experiments and projects would face very little questioning.
The team could hear the mechanical-like countdown for the launch of the Atlas missile. Then: Ignition…..lift off…..
And with that, a blast of flames and smoke burst out from under the missile before it began its steady ascent. All eyes, including that of the Bost University telescope camera, focused on the commotion. And what’s more, as was perfectly obvious to Jacobs and the team, as the missile traveled in excess of 100 nautical miles, the conditions and the focus of the shot could “not have been more clean”.
In fact, it was perfectly obvious that they had achieved their objective to the letter. As they shook hands, offering and accepting congratulations from each other, the 35mm film continued to film. Jacobs would take this film with him in the two metal “cans” to the processing laboratory back at the base. He would process the film immediately so it would be ready for his superiors to view the following day.
However, before he could bask in the sense of achievement that was quietly building inside of him, he would receive a phone call at his desk.
The Movie Projector And The Men In Plain Grey Suits
On the other end of the line was Major Mansmann. He would order Jacobs to the headquarters building where his office was immediately. Upon arriving there, Jacobs noticed two strange men waiting with Mansmann. He also noticed a movie projector, very purposely set up for this meeting in the middle of the room.
Each of the men donned “plain, gray suits” and although they said little, their presence was almost palpable. Within seconds of the office door closing, the lights dimmed, and the projector was clicked into action.

On the wall from the light of the projector, the footage they filmed from Big Sur played. Despite the bizarre nature of the events unfolding, Jacobs remembers feeling a further sense of achievement at how clear the footage was. He continued to watch the footage. When it neared the end, however, Mansmann would tell him to “watch carefully now”.
He did and immediately saw what the men were drawing his attention to. He would state:
Another object flew into the frame, from left to right. It approached the warhead package and maneuvered around it. That is, this…’thing’…flew a relative polar orbit around our warhead package which was itself heading toward the South Pacific at some 18 thousand miles an hour!
Then, an already bizarre incident took an even more bizarre twist. At approximately the “four compass points of its orbit” this strange object emitted “four distinct flashes” towards the missile. In fact, the flashes, Jacobs would argue, must have had sufficient power and intensity as the flashes were clearly visible, almost like a “strike” which caused a “halo” to briefly form.
A “Classic Flying Saucer” That “Shot Down” An American (Dummy) Warhead!
Furthermore, as the object “departed the frame” back in the direction it entered it, Jacobs could see it was “a classic flying saucer” with a clear dome in the middle of the top part, from which the beams of light had emerged.
However, the missile itself, or more specifically, the warhead, “tumbled out of suborbit” falling to the ground. He immediately understood the gravity of the situation. As he would later state:
…This…unidentified flying…’thing’ had apparently ‘shot down’ an American dummy atomic warhead!
Jacobs would later attest his belief that the technology on display was obviously highly advanced. However, in the room, the lights would suddenly come on and Mansmann would enquire whether he or any of his team were “fooling around up there at Big Sur”. When he responded that this certainly wasn’t the case, Mansmann would ask, “Then what the Hell was that?”
It was then that Jacobs, perhaps without thinking, replied as a matter of fact:
It looks to me like we got a UFO!
The silence that would follow his statement was almost deafening in itself. Both of the mystery men continued to stare at Jacobs without saying a word. He noticed Mansmann looking at the men also. Then he turned his attention back to Jacobs, stating:
Let’s just say it never happened. You are to say nothing of this footage to anyone! As far as you and I are concerned, this never took place!
Jacobs flipped his attention back to the two men for a moment, perhaps hoping against hope that the whole situation was some kind of bizarre joke. Their rigid, serious manner told him it wasn’t.
The “Most Fantastic Event Of My Life” That “Did Not Take Place!”
Jacobs wasn’t sure how long he sat there staring into space. It could have been a few minutes. It was most likely only a few seconds as he relayed everything that had happened over the last 24 hours to this very surreal moment now. He couldn’t escape the feeling that what was “the most fantastic event” of his life was something he was being asked to not only keep secret but to deny altogether. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

One of the foremost authorities on British UFO research has come forward to urge the British government to re-open its investigation of anomalous aerial phenomena. Nick Pope, former head of the Ministry of Defence UFO desk, has publicly called for the MoD to restart its research into unidentified flying objects and other aerial anomalies. Will the Ministry of Defence take heed?
Nick Pope served at the Ministry of Defence from 1991 to 2006 where he was tasked with investigating reports of UFOs to determine if they posed any risk to British defense. In reality, as our own Nick Redfern has pointed out, Pope was likely merely there to serve as a lightning rod to attract reports which were then actually investigated by members of the Defense Intelligence Staff (DIS) with security clearances.

Still, like Tom DeLonge, Pope was given a level of access to information and institutions that few civilians ever do – even if either one or both were merely part of a government disinformation or public appeasement campaign of some kind. Like DeLonge, Pope also now makes quite a bit of money and publicity off of his legit UFO researcher cred, regardless of if he ever came across any ‘real’ proof of anything anomalous.
Thus, make of it what you will when Pope pops up in the news with some big development. This week, Pope is making the rounds in the British tabloids with his call for the MoD to follow the lead of the U.S. Navy and draft a new policy for documenting and reporting UFOs. “I strongly support the US Navy’s policy, which is a sensible response to the defence, national security and air safety issues raised by the phenomenon – whatever its true nature,” Pope told Metro. “I hope the US policy initiative will lead to the UK following suit. It’s time either to re-open the MoD’s UFO project or put some new reporting arrangements in place.”
Pope even drafted a set of guidelines of his own for reporting unidentified aerial phenomena, writing that the MoD should create a new dedicated unit for collecting these reports:
A new MoD unit should be set up to investigate all such occurrences. All aircrew of all branches of the military who see such objects/phenomena, all civilian aircrew, all radar operators who detect uncorrelated targets, and any other military, MoD or defence contractor witnesses should make a full report to this unit as soon as possible.
Pope writes that the MoD should take each report seriously, cross-checking each with military, civilian, and space radar operated by the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System at RAF Fylingdales. Given the number of times the Royal Air Force has been scrambled in response to unidentified objects lately, I’d say they likely already do, but who knows?
On the evening of 15th October 1972, police helicopter pilot, Pat Spafford was on night patrol duty from the skies of Pasadena, California, where he overlooked the mountains and foothills of this largely picturesque part of the United States.
Beneath him, the roads crisscrossed each other, interspersed with the greenery and urban trails of the woodlands. Such sprawling coliseums for the modern gladiators as the Rose Bowl also commanded his attention, with even more contemporary towers reaching ever upwards from the ground below.

As Spafford and his flying partner, Al Matisoft surveyed the area below them, each of them noticed strange flashing lights in the distance near the foothills of the mountain ranges. They believed it was a military helicopter, possibly a Sikorsky one. Strangely, however, it was hovering relatively low to the ground over a residential area.
As the police helicopter approached the mysterious aerial vehicle, though, it suddenly rose in the air before heading towards the west of their location. The pilots each agreed to follow it and investigate further.
As they moved in, however, the craft appeared to descend quickly, “as if it was going into auto rotation”. As the patrol unit got closer, however, they could see a “large, round, and rotating” object. It had the appearance of a “big bunch of balloons tied together” and the pilots would estimate it was traveling around 60 miles per hour.
Spafford would announce over the helicopter’s intercom system that “a UFO” was in front of them.
I’m Going To “Light It Up!”
At the same time as Spafford was reporting the sighting to the switchboard desk, Matisoft would shut down the main lights and switch to their “night star” search lights. This was “standard operating procedure” for activating the search lights.
The two pilots, however, would disagree in the moment about their course of action. Spafford would switch the running lights back on in response to Matisoft stating he was going to “light it up!” Spafford, being the higher ranking, insisted they simply observe.
They continued to watch the craft, its lights still flashing, for several moments as it continued west but at the same speed as the helicopter and so maintaining the same distance.
As this was happening, a dense fog was beginning to roll in over the area from the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Once again, so as to avoid getting lost in the fog, standard procedure was for them to return to base at Bracket Field in nearby Pomona. They would continue westward, however, keeping the object within its range and their sights.
Sudden Acceleration Over The Rose Bowl
Below them, the details and yard lines of the field at the Rose Bowl stadium were clear to the pilots such was their altitude. Just in front of them, the strange disc-shaped craft passed over the stadium. However, shortly after doing so, it began to increase its speed dramatically. In fact, “in just a few seconds” the object had vanished into the distance, well beyond the skyscrapers and glass towers of downtown Los Angeles.
Both pilots were shocked at the pace of the craft, stating it was clearly traveling at a speed “faster than supersonic”. After taking a moment to gather their senses and thoughts, Spafford would head back to base. Once on the ground, they would begin investigating the incident, beginning by contacting other airports and control towers in the area.
However, no airports – military or commercial – had anything out of the ordinary on their radar screens. And none of the air force bases – at least officially – were conducting any type of experiment or test flight. It is perhaps worth noting that when Matisoft contact Jet Propulsion Laboratory, he had the distinct impression that not only were they not being fully honest in their responses, but that they were “expecting” such reports.
Despite a lack of further supportive evidence, the pilots would agree to submit an incident report, and so placing the encounter officially on record.
A (Still) Unexplained Case With Ambiguous Loose Ends
The two officers would initially remain silent regarding the incident following their reports. However, as talk got around their department, including several “jibes” aimed their way, they would speak openly to anyone who might ask them about it. Over the years, particularly Matisoft, they would continue to do so. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
“I saw a stickman entity when I was a kid through the door hole in my parents’ flat. I was going to the elementary school so this must have happened in early to mid 90s. Possibly around 1993-1995. This happened in Turkey, city of İzmir. It was a sunny afternoon in April and I was waiting for my friend to come and play PC games together. I heard a sound coming from the apartment’s corridor and thought my friend arrived. Went to the door to peek through the door hole. I saw a stickman-like figure standing in front of our neighbor’s door. It was not black. It looked like it was made out of clean light brown wood. It had black spheres for hands, feet and head. Visually its body, limbs and the black spheres were identical to giant matchsticks in color and proportion. Even weirder, it was wearing a yellowish fedora hat with transparent dark fabric hanging from the edges. I could still see that it had no facial features through the thin fabric. I was very confused but kept watching it and it did not move for about five seconds. Then it made a slightly quick wavy movement with its arms (like the motion is carried from one arm to the other) and that scared me off. My mom was at home so I ran to her and told her that there’s something in the apartment. We saw nothing when we checked back. Later I discarded it as an optical illusion since I saw this through the door hole. Maybe there was some dirt or a bug with long legs on the door hole lens. “I saw a very large black triangle craft in January of 2000 while hunting for wild pigs on a family farm in southern Illinois. I was there with my brother in law and father in law and the farm was his uncles. The hogs had destroyed crops each year and it was ruining their income. To get as many of them as possible we set up tree stands and corn bait to kill as many as possible. It’s legal in every state to do that. At around 4 am or 4:30 I observed a huge dark object coming south southwest and it was blocking out most of the sky and stars. I never heard any sound. It came almost directly over me at about 500 to 1000 feet and had to be at least large enough to sit a pro football stadium on top without seeing it. It went passed me and stopped directly over where my wife’s brother was. It didn’t move for at least a couple minutes. I was talking to him on a hand held radio and he was in complete panic. I was too but I was also intrigued by it. This was not man made. I know that because it continued Southwest and started doing this step up maneuvering then shot off at a speed I can’t estimate. As we went to check on my father in law I saw it moving across the sky at what had to be several thousand miles per hour. Then shot up into space and disappeared. My father in law couldn’t even speak. We tried to get what he saw and he was in shock. When the object was sitting still earlier I had looked at it through my rifle scope and it had a strange texture to the outside shell. The only source of light coming from it was at the rear and it was an odd glow. I served in the Marines in the Air Wing and my father in law was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. We weren’t familiar with anything remotely close to that craft. When he finally calmed down back at the house, he too felt it was not human made. I totally agree with you and I don’t feel these triangle UFO’s are black projects. They wouldn’t look like that and be so huge with no sounds and flown in areas where people could observe them. SPECIAL NOTE: The “St. Clair Triangle”, “UFO Over Illinois”, “Southern Illinois UFO”, or “Highland, Illinois UFO” sighting occurred on January 5, 2000 over the towns of Highland, Dupo, Lebanon, Shiloh, Summerfield, Millstadt, and O’Fallon, Illinois, beginning shortly after 4:00 am. Five on-duty police officers around these locales, along with various other eyewitnesses, sighted and reported a massive, silent, triangular craft operating at an unusual treetop level altitude and speeds. One of the police officers even managed to get a single, yet ambiguous polaroid photograph of the object.[14] The incident was examined in various television shows including the ABC special Seeing is Believing with Peter Jennings, an hour-long Discovery Channel special UFOs Over Illinois, an episode of the Syfy series Proof Positive and a half-hour-long independent documentary titled The Edge of Reality: Illinois UFO, January 5, 2000 by Darryl Barker Productions. Sufjan Stevens sang about this incident in the song “Concerning the UFO Sighting Near Highland, Illinois” on his 2005 album Illinois.
On this particular day, sometime in May 1992, Francovich was taking her two large dogs – each of which was trained to attack if necessary – through the lime trees of a deserted stretch of the Miami countryside. Far from the sun-kissed bodies and party atmosphere of downtown Miami, though, here was serene and quiet.
That was until a loud noise from somewhere behind her like “someone chopping down a tree with an ax”. She turned around, and in front of her was a strange “humanoid being” with “grayish pink skin” and approximately just under five feet tall.
She would recall how it looked “plastic” from a distance until she looked closer and could then tell it was “wearing snug-fitting, metallic looking clothing”. This was so tightly clad to the creature that it “clearly showed the shape of its body”. She would state to Moulton Howe:
The most alarming thing that caught my attention immediately was the head!
She would continue that the upper skull was much larger – disproportionately so – than the lower half. What really stood out, though, was the “huge, black, almond-shaped eyes”. These had no whites or pupils to them, just deep black. Where one would expect the nose and mouth to be were considerably smaller than a humans.
Furthermore, although she could see something similar to ears, they were essentially flat to the creature’s head.
Two Halves Of A Body That Simply Didn’t Match
When Francovich went on to describe the creature’s body, she would state it was “as startling as the head”. She would claim to Moulton Howe:
…the upper torso did not match the lower torso. The arms were very long, without what we muscle tone, very skinny, extending into very long hands (which) were six-fingered…!
She would go on to state that she checked the digits several times – again using her experience of studying primates – and was particularly fascinated that the creature had five fingers AND a thumb. And what’s more, the thumb was in the same location as the human thumb resides.
Overall, the creature had a “very slender frame”, at least the top half. Except that is for a “little pot-belly” that jutted out slightly.
However, when Francovich would begin to describe the creature’s lower half, she specifically pointed out how “over-developed” it was by comparison to the upper half. She would continue:
The thighs were actually over-developed. Coming down to the calves they looked like exactly like the legs of a well-trained athlete…The feet were small, I mean too small for the rest of the body!
On its feet was something similar to shoes made from the same metallic material as the tightfitting bodysuit.
Well it is pure speculation on our part, this description of such an out of proportion body is an interesting detail, and one that brings to mind some of the conspiracies regarding the depiction of the Ancient Egyptian pharaoh, Akhenaten, whose body had very similar dimensions, and who some ancient astronaut theorists have suggested was an alien-hybrid creature.
A Strange Creature, The Likes Of Which She Had Never Seen!
Francovich would state that although she had worked closely with many animals – some of them dangerous in the extreme – she had “never seen a being like this”. She would go on to state how she would feel “shell-shocked” by the sightings.
However, not because she sensed danger, as she “had no time to think about that”, but because she had no idea what she was looking at. For all the creatures and experience she had, during which she had been around the vast majority of species in her part of the world, this new figure was something completely new.
She would also state that she had the profound feeling that the strange creature was just as shocked as she. She would state:
We both were at a dead stand-off, just staring at each other!
Throughout all of this, Francovich’s two dogs had sat patiently by her feet. While she didn’t know if this was because of some kind of mental control over them by the creature, she remained certain that “something out of the normal was taking place”.
She would recall how the very moment they saw the strange figure they immediately lay submissively on the ground. In fact, they had the look of sleeping dogs to Francovich.
The two continued to stare at each other for several moments. Francovich tried to take in as much detail as possible while maintained the safe distance between them. Then, the strange creature began to run.
A Strange Tunnel Out Of Nowhere From “Densely Growing Vines!”
Instead of turning around and running herself in the opposite direction, Francovich stood and stared at this bizarre creature. And more specifically, the way it ran. She would compare its movements to that of a gazelle, which were similar to someone on a pogo stick. She was elaborate:
…leap, leap, leap, with very little effort. This is exactly how this being ran. It would actually spring!
She would estimate that it “easily” jumped to a distance of three feet with each leap.
This is another discreetly interesting detail from Francovich. Several other close contact witnesses have made very similar assertions as to the way such creatures move. Furthermore, if we look back to the legends of Spring Heeled Jack from the 1800s England, its movements, as the name might suggest, were extremely similar.
After a moment, she too began to run. However, she ran in the same direction as the creature, almost “neck and neck” with it. The two dogs followed, remaining just behind her heels. This would continue for a distance equivalent to “several city blocks”. The entire time she would keep her sights on the creature.
Then, out of nowhere, a “tunnel” appeared out of the “densely growing vines”. She would state to Mouton Howe that:
…he darted right into it and disappeared!
She would continue that as soon as it vanished a “wall of stench” of a combination of sulphuric acid and formaldehyde. In fact, the intensity was so bad that it “burned the lining” of her nose.
Although she couldn’t explain why, she “knew instantly that there were others” inside the tunnel. What’s more, there was:
…a lot of them (and) I knew they were waiting for me to follow…!
It was then she would stop dead and turn around. And run.
A “Different Kind Of Encounter” The Following Day
With her dogs close behind her, she ran for around a mile and a half before finally stopping to take stock of the situation. They then eventually returned home. However, she would bring both dogs back to the area the following day. And this time, they would have “a different kind of encounter”.
As she was running along the same track as the previous day, a black car came up the track and straight towards her. The vehicle would show “government plates”. It came to a stop right next to her, the windows rolled down allowing her to see two men sat inside, each wearing a black suit.
They would ask, matter-of-factly, if she had “ever seen anything strange” in the area. As calmly as she could she shook her head.
Whether they believed her or not she wasn’t sure. However, the man nearest to her in the passenger seat stretched out his arm to offer her a business card. When she looked at it she could see a “raised gold emblem of the White House” but no other significant details that might reveal their identity or department.
Again, a strong feeling would run through her that the two men knew of her encounter with the strange creature. And the tunnel that it vanished into. She also believed that they were not sure if she had or hadn’t seen the said creature or not.
She would keep both incidents to herself for several weeks before eventually telling her husband. With her permission, he would write of her account for the aforementioned Unknown magazine.
More Evidence Of An Extraterrestrial Presence On Earth?
The encounter remains unexplained. However, Florida is perhaps one of the states in America with a persistent abundance of UFO and strange creature encounters. Many such sightings would appear to fall into the cryptology field. Such reports of the creatures as the Skunk Ape, for example, surface often – although these are more Bigfoot-type creatures to gray alien.
However, how many of these sightings may be down to the respective witnesses being mistaken about what they saw. Only instead of rationalizing it to an escaped or wild animal, perhaps at least some are sightings of similar creatures in the area?
And what about the apparent Men In Black presence? While many researchers insist such a group and the US government remain separate agencies with no connection, Francovich insisted that the vehicle in which they drove had “government plates”. Is there a shadow agency within the US government that is aware, even protecting, an extraterrestrial presence in America?
While that is a bizarre and outlandish question for some, we should perhaps consider just how respected a researcher, investigator, and author Linda Mouton Howe is. The fact she chose to involve herself in the case should perhaps speak volumes as to its authenticity. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
My experience was in Iraq, early summer 2008, en route from Mosul to Tal’Afar. I was a UH-60 crew chief in the U.S. Army. Just past the mountainous ridgeline in the desert, we were about 10 min from landing. I sat right seat, one of my first times on mission flying right seat. NVG as well, about 12 midnight. I looked out over the ridgeline to the north in the distance and noticed a sphere, like a perfect sphere, no lights or anything. I was a fresh journeyman so I knew cosmetic blemishes and operational defects and all. I tilted the goggles to offset any reference points, still there. Shook my head left and right with the limited 20 degree view, still there. I thought I’d say something to my pilot at the time that I thought I saw a ufo, as soon as I said that that, it amended its parallel flight path from us, and shot off to the northwest much faster than the 130 knots it was traveling. In 1951, Mr. M was a 19-year-old corporal based at Nellis Air Force Base and was one of several personnel on sentry duty around the perimeter of the nuclear testing range at Yucca Flat. One particular October morning (either 22nd, 28th, or 30th based on official nuclear test records, with the 30th being the most likely), not long after sunrise (between 6 and 7 am), he was on such duty, with an expected nuclear test detonation around 15 minutes away.
The early morning sky – approximately 6:45 am – was perfectly clear. However, when he looked in the direction of the test site he could clearly see three “silvery elliptical objects” hovering directly overhead. The three objects were identical, with a flat underside and a dome on top. They appeared to be in a purposely triangular formation with one of the crafts in front of the remaining two, which were positioned on either side and behind it.
Mr. M couldn’t hear any sound emanating from the three strange objects. Each of them, however, would shine brightly as their silver exterior reflected the steadily rising sun.
With Mr. M at this stage was another young guard who saw exactly what he was looking at. After witnessing the shining objects for several moments, he would retreat to inform the Corporal of the Guard leaving Mr. M alone.
By the time they returned, numerous other objects had arrived, each seemingly in their own formations, but all over the test site. What is quite bizarre is how the objects were seemingly just there all of a sudden, with none of the witnesses able to state they had seen them actually arrive. In total, the men would count and record 18 identical silver discs.
Mr. M and his colleagues would continue to observe the strange crafts for between “30 seconds to a minute” longer before they suddenly “vanished in seconds” moving upwards at an angle.
The Corporal of the Guard would state matter-of-factly:
If we’re smart, we won’t say anything about this!
It would appear none of them did. That was until Mr. M spoke with Webb 13 years later in 1964. Mr. M would attest that, at least in military circles, he didn’t hear any mention of the incident again.
Was their presence purely coincidence? Or were they there in a surveillance capacity? Mr. M would certainly claim his belief that not only was the sighting connected to a monitoring of human activities, but that the intelligence behind such sightings was, at least to his mind, undoubtedly extraterrestrial.
