Shortly after 9 pm on the evening of 21st
April 1991, Captain Achille Zaghetti would not only witness a bizarre craft as he piloted his McDonnel MD-80 plane off the coast of Kent in the United Kingdom at an altitude of approximately 20,000 feet, he barely avoided it crashing right into him.
He would report the incident, describing the object as “light brown, round, (and) three meters long”. Furthermore, although he had only several moments to view the object, he didn’t recall seeing “any means of propulsion”.
The incident would be subject to an investigation by the Civil Aviation Authority. This, due to the hazardous and potentially fatal nature of it. The investigation would last approximately two weeks. Although their “extensive enquiries” wouldn’t determine what the object was. They did reveal that air traffic control in London had picked up a “faint radar trace” in the same location on the night in question.
However, several weeks later on 1st
June, the crew of a Britannia Airways Boeing 737 would report witnessing a “yellow-orange cylindrical object” as it made its way from London to Dublin. The object was approximately 10 feet in length and would disappear into the distance. On the 17th
June, an almost identical object was reported by a German flight engineer onboard a Dan Air Flight plane on its way to Hamburg.
The sightings, at least involving commercial and private airliners would settle down as the summer gave way to autumn. Beginning in 1994, however, several more incidents would unfold, each of which would receive considerable media attention. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
American West Flight 564 had left Temper in Florida on its way to Las Vegas in Nevada on the 25th
May in what was an uneventful and standard take-off and cross-country flight. However, at around 9:20 pm as Captain Eugene Tollefson guided the commercial airliner over Bovina, Texas at an altitude of 39,000 feet, the evening was about to take a drastic turn.
It was First Officer John J. Waller who first noticed a strange row of lights in the near vicinity. He would stand slightly in his seat in order to get a better view, prompting the rest of the crew in the cockpit to look out into the night sky also. As they did so, they would witness a “row of bright white lights” seemingly part of a solid object.
When a sudden flash of lightning lit up the clouds, the crew could clearly make out the distinct outline of a cigar-shaped object. They would estimate the object, of which it was also clear the row of lights were a part of, was around 300-to-400 feet long.
All amazed by what they were seeing but professional in the calm, the crew continued to watch and monitor the object. As they did Tollefson reached for the radio to contact the control tower at Albuquerque in New Mexico. He would inform them of the object while also stating that although they could see the anomaly, their radars were not picking up the craft. Tollefson would describe the flashing lights
…There is a strobe on it and it starts from going counterclockwise. And the length is unbelievable!
Albuquerque control tower, however, maintained that they had no detection of the apparent anomalous craft.
Perhaps one of the most interesting details of the conversation between the control tower in Albuquerque and the pilots was the initial response from the tower regarding the location of the flashing lights. The tower would respond:
That is a restricted area that is used by the military out there during the daytime!
Tollefson would state a short time later in the conversation that despite 15 years’ experience flying such planes this was the first time he had ever witnessed anything so bizarre. He would also add that “it’s probably military in that restricted area”.
It was also around this point in the timeline of events that the control tower would contact Cannon Air Force Base in nearby Clovis. Following a quick conversation between the control tower and the military base, the crew onboard Flight 564 were informed that no other traffic was in their vicinity and that “nobody up front knows any idea about that”.
However, in the minutes following this, a mystery voice appears in the conversation. It is possible this is the pilot of the plane that was already on routine patrols in the area. But as is highlighted in the NICAP report on the incident, it is “never clear just what type of aircraft this is”. Or who the mystery person might be. It is clear, however, as the report also notes, that “the individual clearly overheard the recent discussion”.
What is interesting, though, is the response following the control tower informing the individual that the pilot (Tollefson) had witnessed a “large object with a strobe”. To this, this mystery pilot would state:
Ah…the secret stuff!
Whether extraterrestrial or top-secret military, at least some high-ranking people appeared very much in-the-know.
As the commercial airliner continued on its course, the strange object appeared to fall behind them. This caused Tollefson to inform the mystery pilot, as well as another plane that enters the conversation – later identified as Hawk 85 – that they should be able to see them very shortly.
The control tower would inform the Hawk 85 to “be looking off your right side” for anything strange or unidentified. He would inform him of the estimated altitude and that the object was long, cigar-shaped and with a strobe along the side. Perhaps interestingly the pilot responded that he is “…searching for ET”.
While this is most likely a loose jargon term, it is certainly something that many UFO researchers and enthusiasts picked up on. Is it nothing to be concerned about? Or is the use of the phrase “ET” a slip of the tongue?
Whatever the answer to those questions might be, the object would disappear from sight shortly after. Whether it simply became lost in the crowd or whether it vacated the area at speed is unknown.
As would come to light during the subsequent investigation into the sighting – both official and independent – the actions of the North American Aerospace Defense Command
(NORAD) would come under scrutiny from some corners. And what’s more, those actions would prove to be suspicious at best.
NORAD – First They Did, Then They Didn’t!
There were also several confusing statements from NORAD in the initial aftermath to the incident. For example, on the night in question, the Albuquerque control tower would contact NORAD. They would enquire if they had any further information regarding the strange craft the American Airlines aircraft had reported.
The initial response was that they were indeed tracking an unknown object. And it was in the same region as that reported by the commercial airliner. What’s more, upon communication with NORAD the following day, they would confirm the tracking of the unknown object. And offer that it was stationary to begin with before great bursts of speed around a blistering 1,000 to 1,400 miles per hour, in several stop-start motions.
However, in the weeks and months that would follow the incident, particularly as independent investigations began to take place and the incident became public knowledge, NORAD would, at first, claim the object was nothing but a “small plane”, and then simply deny tracking an anomalous craft altogether.
Ultimately, their public U-turn on tracking the bizarre craft, one that moved in excess of 1,000 miles per hour no less, would make more people suspicious than not that the organization was not being entirely truthful in the public light. Essentially, their complete turn on the events of 25th
May would appear to have lent the incident even more credibility than it already had.
No Evidence To Suggest Military Involvement!
One of the leading investigators of the Flight 564 sighting was Walter Webb. He would not only examine the reports and conduct extensive interviews but would also set about filing several Freedom of Information Acts. All in an effort to unveil any out of the ordinary incidents on the night in question.
Ultimately, though, no evidence to suggest any military vehicles – secret or otherwise – were in the vicinity on the evening of 25th
May 1995. Nor were there any records or any outside aircraft in the area, meaning that whatever the strange object was, it would appear the military – a NORAD – were as blindsided by the sudden aerial anomaly as the crew of Flight 564. Perhaps this explains the initial, and from their perspective regrettable response in the original communications between themselves and the control tower in Albuquerque. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
With this last point in mind, then, perhaps it is worth examining quickly another incident. One that occurred just off the coast of Florida. In the area better known as the Bermuda Triangle on board the USS Independence in June 1973. While there may or may not be a connection, the fact the incident unfolded only six months before the Braden River incident at a location only a (relative) stone’s throw away, over water, no less, is certainly worth us including it here.
The incident took place in the early hours one morning, at around 1 am. The main witness was an anonymous refueling technician. He was on the ship’s deck when he noticed a “very bright light” coming from underneath the water. According to the witness, this mystery object was gigantic. He would make a comparison to a paperclip held in a hand. With it being the ship and the hand being the strange craft.
He continued to watch the craft it moved out in front of the ship. The light glowing and lighting up the water as it did so. Then, it emerged from the water and into the air. As it did so, the witness and the others who had since come out on deck to watch the extraordinary events were almost blinded by the intensity and brightness of the light.
Then, in a moment, literally a fraction of a second, it was gone. It simply vanished at an unthinkable pace. So large was the object that the witness would describe feeling disorientated and confused by its mere presence.
Check out the video below. It looks at the USS Independence incident a little further. An interesting incident in its own right. And one that might have a connection to the Braden River sighting….NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Perhaps also of interest and worth mentioning here are the sightings involving the USS Tacoma
and the USS Welch. These would unfold in the early hours of 17th February off the coast of New Orleans during Mardi Gras season. On this particular morning, at around 4 am, a “strange light” suddenly approached the two ships’ positions out of the west.
The lights, white at first, would change to an amber glow as it moved along the sky. Then, it simply disappeared as though it had gone out. Not only is the changing of the colored glow of these strange aerial objects, seemingly in sympathy with its motion something that is seen in many other UFO reports, the perception that rather than vanishing into the distance the object simply “went out” is one that also comes up more than we might think.
The American South Has A Long History Of Strange Goings-On
Whatever was hovering and “zipping” through the skies over Mississippi, and its southern neighbor, Louisiana, throughout the opening weeks of 1977, multiple people were witness to the events. That something strange was overhead during this time, then, is as good as established fact. What that “something” might have been, however, like many other cases, is a mystery within a mystery.
As are, of course, most of the sightings across the United States and around the world. Very distinct UFO waves and patterns have already been well-established and investigated over the years. One can’t help but feel the more sightings face examination, though, however trivial and pedestrian some of them may be, will exhibit eventual overriding patterns of behavior and ultimately, clues to the UFO and alien question will emerge.
We might take note, for example, that both Mississippi and Louisiana revolve around significant bodies of water. A location detail that surfaces more than most might suspect. Furthermore, both states have a rich history of strange happenings. And even longer histories of legends from the indigenous peoples of the area dating back thousands of years.
In fact, the American South, in general, including other states such as Arkansas and Alabama – which will no doubt be the subjects of future examinations, is full of stories of mysterious goings-on. No doubt, as we move closer to fully understanding these strange aerial crafts and the apparent intelligence behind them, these mysteries will clear somewhat also. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
On the evening of 6th
January 1977 at a convenience store in Yazoo City, the witness, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed a friend of hers suddenly burst in claiming they had just been pulled over by the police. However, when asked the reason, the friend claimed the patrolman had seen a UFO and wanted the motorist as a corroborative witness to the events.
Intrigued by the claims, the witness and her boyfriend would drive out to the location. However, when they arrived nothing out of the ordinary was taking place. They would instead drive to the lake and park by the waterside.
Not long after, however, the inside of the vehicle would suddenly light up. When the pair looked out of the back window, they could see two strange objects “each the size of 3 Cadillacs”. The witness would further describe them as “oval and dark” but with “amber lights around the base”. She would estimate they were approximately 30 feet above the ground.
The two objects remained in their positions for around 10 minutes before suddenly, but calmly, moving over their vehicle and into the distance. One of them “zipped off” out of sight in a matter of seconds. The other, however, appeared to land in a nearby field. When the pair went to investigate, though, there was nothing there.
A similar incident to the apparently discreet wave of sightings throughout Mississippi occurred several years earlier. However, its location and the details of the incident are indeed of interest to us here. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
The wife of a Dallas attorney and a recruiting officer at the Naval Air Station Friday reported seeing flying saucers Thursday — one in Dallas County, the other twenty miles northeast of Denton in Grayson County.
Capt. M. A. Nation, NAS commander, said the phenomenon was the second observed at the air base in ten days.
Reports are being sent to Washington in both instances, he said.
Mrs. Margie Benavides of Grand Prairie, wife of Dallas Atty. Robert Benavides, reported that she and six other persons on a Denton-bound bus saw what appeared to be a flying saucer near Tioga.
Bus Driver E. B. Owens, 37, of Denison, confirmed Mrs. Benavides’ story in a telephone report to The News. He set the time at about 6:10 p.m. and said he and the passengers watched the object for about twenty minutes.
Six and a half hours earlier, at 11:28 a.m., Chief Petty Officer Charley Lewis, 56, saw a disk streak at a B-36 bomber, follow under it for a second or two, then break away at a 45-degree angle.
The disk, he said, was oblong and flat and hurtled through the air at an incredible speed. After leaving the B-36, he said, it shot straight up into the air and disappeared in less than five seconds.
Convair B-36 Peacemaker
“I guess the whole thing took no more than fifteen seconds,” he declared. “I’ve been in aviation for eighteen years and I’ve never seen anything like it. I don’t mind telling you it shook me plenty.”
Lewis said his brother-in-law, Jack Lawler, an ex-Air Force major from LaPorte, and Mrs. W. B. Webb, heard him shout and looked up in time to see the object.
Lewis said he immediately reported the incident to his superior officers.
He said the disk appeared to be about twenty to twenty-five feet in diameter. Its height, when he first observed it, appeared between 10,000 and 15,000 feet
“I just stepped out of my car and heard the B-36. When I looked up, I saw a very bright object racing at it at an incredible speed. It got under the bomber and seemed to hang there for a couple of seconds or so. Its color by then looked cream or light tan,” he said.
Captain Nation said that C. E. Edmundson, a tower control operator, saw a similar object March 7.
“He estimated its speed at 3,000 to 4,000 miles an hour,” Captain Nation said. “Of course, that’s a pure estimate. He had no instruments to compute its speed.”
Mrs Robert Benavides sketches the action of a flying disk which she says
she saw Thursday near Tioga, Grayson County. It looked flat and rocked along slowly when she first saw it. Then it turned up on its side, shot straight up into the air and leveled off thirty seconds later and streaked south.
Mrs. Benavides said the disk she saw had the same general proportions as the lid from a baking powder can.
When I first saw it, it was just loafing along. The thin side showed and it looked like a straight line. It didn’t do too much moving for several minutes. Then it turned up on its side and became almost round. When it did, it shot straight up in the air at a terrific speed. After it climbed for about thirty seconds, it leveled off and got flat again. It streaked off toward the south, and it had a tail like a comet.”
Mrs. Benavides said she had no way of knowing how big the object was, or how far away.
“It looked like it might be hundreds of miles off. To the eye it looked about four inches in diameter. But if it was as far off as I think, it was a tremendous thing.”
She said the only person on the bus that said he didn’t see the object was a bespectacled man who had been drinking.
“His glasses were so thick and he was so full that he couldn’t have seen it if it had been across the road from him.”
Owens said the object, when its narrow side showed, seemed somewhat thicker in the front than in the tail. He estimated it was about ten miles away and said that to his eye it looked about the size of an auto tire.
“If it was ten miles away, it had to be pretty big to look the size of a tire,” he said.
He said that he had observed the object for about five minutes before he called it to the attention of his passengers.
Both Owens and Mrs. Benavides said the object, silver-colored at first, turned golden with the sun’s rays as it streaked across the sky.
All of the witnesses reached by The News said that there was no possibility that the object could be a plane or a weather observation balloon.
“I’ve been In aviation ever since I was a kid,” said Lewis, “and I’ve never seen anvthing like it. It was smooth; there were no wings or projections from it, and it couldn’t have been a jet or rocket ship because there was no fire.”
Captain Nation said there were no jet planes in the area during any of the times the disks were reported.
And at Love Field Weather Bureau, Weatherman A. M. Hamrick said no observation balloons were in the air at the time.
Each of the three witnesses said the object made no sound.
Since the first disks were observed shortly after the close of World War II, there has been no official explanation of them.
They have been variously described as reflections of buildings in the sky, reflections of airplanes,, Russian secret weapons, and more generally — figments of the imagination.
Recently Com. Robert B. McLaughlin, guided missies expert and skipper of a Navy destroyer, said he was convinced that the disks were actually space ships from another planet. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Former US Navy pilot David Fravor has revealed a previously undisclosed UFO incident from the 1990s. By now the story of the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO spotted by fighter pilots during training exercises off the coast of San Diego in 2004 is well known, with footage reportedly recorded during the incident being declared authentic by US Navy officials as recently as last month.
What isn’t so well documented however is another incident that happened a few years beforehand.
In a recent radio interview, former US Navy pilot Commander David Fravor described an encounter experienced by another pilot who was tasked with retrieving BQM aerial target drones and submarine telemetry torpedoes from the water.
The pilot reported a “kind of dark mass coming up from the depths” which quickly disappeared.
“As they hoist the BQM up, he’s looking at this thing going, ‘What the hell is that?'” said Fravor. “And then it just goes back down underwater. Once they pull the kid and the BQM out of the water, this object descends back into the depths.”
According to Fravor, another very similar incident happened a few months later.
“He’s out picking up a torpedo, they hook the diver up on the winch, and as they’re lowering him down, he sees this big mass,” said Fravor. “He goes, ‘It’s not a submarine’. He’s seen submarines before. Once you’ve seen a submarine you can’t confuse it with something else. “
“This big object, kind of circular, is coming up from the depths and he starts screaming through the intercom system to tell them to pull the diver up, and the diver’s only a few feet from the water.”
“They reverse the winch and the diver’s thinking, ‘What the hell is going on?’ And all of a sudden he said the torpedo just got sucked down underwater, and the object just descended back down into the depths.
Retired US Navy pilot commander David Fravor first came forward in a bombshell New York Times article in December 2017, describing how his squadron witnessed a 747-sized object just under the surface of the water during training exercises in the Pacific Ocean, 160km off the coast of San Diego.
Hovering just over the surface of the water above the submerged object was a 12-metre-long “Tic Tac-looking object” moving erratically “forward, back, left, right”. Cdr Fravor attempted to intercept the object, but it shot away at incredible speed.
On a subsequent flight, another member of his squadron managed to film one of the objects using the plane’s infra-red targeting camera after its radar systems were jammed — which Cdr Fravor noted was “technically an act of war”.
The now-famous footage was acquired by former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo and released along with two other videos by To The Stars Academy, a UFO research organisation founded by Blink-182 rocker Tom DeLonge.
The circumstances around the release of the footage has been the subject of intense controversy over the past two years, but the US Navy last month confirmed for the first time that it considered the “phenomena” depicted in the three videos “unidentified”.
Appearing on the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Saturday in his first major interview since the Navy’s official acknowledgment of the videos, Cdr Fravor discussed his sighting and also revealed how other pilots had “come out of the woodwork” to tell him their own encounters.
“They don’t feel alone,” he said. “One of the guys was a Navy helicopter pilot. He was flying a CH-53, a big heavy-lifter the Marine Corps uses for certain things. Off the East Coast they do a lot of shooting, at the time it was off Puerto Rico.”
Cdr Fravor said the helicopter pilot’s job at the time of the incident in the “mid to late ’90s” included retrieving BQM aerial target drones, which deploy a parachute and fall into the ocean, as well as submarine telemetry torpedoes that collect data before blowing ballast and floating to the surface.
“The helo drops a swimmer in the water, he hooks the whole thing up and they fly back. The first time they were out and they were going to pick up a BQM, he’s sitting in the front — in the CH-53 you can see down by your feet — and as he’s looking down, they’re 50 feet (15 metres) above the water, he sees this kind of dark mass coming up from the depths,” he said.
“As they hoist the BQM up, he’s looking at this thing going, ‘What the hell is that?’ And then it just goes back down underwater. Once they pull the kid and the BQM out of the water, this object descends back into the depths.”
The pilot thought the incident was “pretty weird”, according to Cdr Fravor. Then a few months later, it happened again. “He’s out picking up a torpedo, they hook the diver up on the winch, and as they’re lowering him down, he sees this big mass,” he said.
“He goes, ‘It’s not a submarine’. He’s seen submarines before. Once you’ve seen a submarine you can’t confuse it with something else. This big object, kind of circular, is coming up from the depths and he starts screaming through the intercom system to tell them to pull the diver up, and the diver’s only a few feet from the water.”
He continued, “They reverse the winch and the diver’s thinking, ‘What the hell is going on?’ And all of a sudden he said the torpedo just got sucked down underwater, and the object just descended back down into the depths. They never recovered it.”
Cdr Fravor said the helicopter pilot was adamant the torpedo “didn’t sink” but “literally looked like it got sucked down”. He said the pilot spoke to The New York Times about the incident ahead of the 2017 story but “they wanted something newer”.
Cdr Fravor marvelled at the technology displayed by the objects, up to a dozen of which had been tracked by the USS Princeton’s radar systems in the week prior to his squadron’s sighting.
“They would come down from above 80,000 feet (24,380 metres), drop down to about 20,000 feet (6100 metres). They’d hang out then go straight back up after about three or four hours,” he said.
“Just think of the physics — 80,000 feet is where you can start to see the curvature of the Earth. It’s considered space, they’re coming from above that. (Elon Musk’s) SpaceX is really excited because they can launch a rocket, have a booster come back to Earth and actually land on a pad. It’s a very impressive engineering feat. Next to this technology, that’s like a Model T next to a Porsche.”
Cdr Fravor said he was speculating but suspected the objects were somehow “manipulating the gravity field and just moving through a void”. “You could in theory fly, go into the ocean, cruise around, pop back up, fly around, go to space. You remove the barriers of the normal propulsion we have today,” he said.
Last week, Mr Elizondo claimed that TTSA had obtained physical evidence that could be from UFOs. “Our company over the last year and a half has actually obtained quite a bit of material,” he told Fox News. “Some of that material — its providence is frankly hearsay, while other providence of some of this material has been substantiated.” NOTE: The above image is CGI.
While filming a giant pumpkin drop into an inflatable pool filled with water at an annual Harvest Festival, we noticed, after reviewing the video, that an unusual disk-shaped object flew past us seconds after the splash caused by the pumpkin drop. Some who have seen the video think it is a chunk of the pumpkin, a water drop or a bird however, the linear and ascending path of the object seems to contradict such claims. Furthermore, looking at the object frame-by-frame, it seems to be transparent and round/disc-shaped. The video submitted is slowed down as, at regular speed, the object flies by so fast, it is barely noticed. KENS NOTE: Debunkers are the idiots of the third kind. How could this be a chunk of the pumpkin or a bird flying hundreds of miles per hour. You never see them prove their absurd theories because they can’t.

I spotted a UFO over I-95S as I was passing near Exit 2 for Trenton headed towards the Delaware River cross over to PA. I had a sighting that was very different in Australia in 2005 and have kept my eyes on the sky ever since. I was looking up at local plane traffic that was well above the cloud cover when I noticed something sitting still, hovering beneath the cloud cover, far lower than the plane traffic directly overhead. It looked the approximate size and shape of the tic-tac UFOs described by Commander Fravor on the Nimitz in 2004, 40 ft in length maybe, about 20ft high, all relative guesses. At first it appeared relatively solid, dark grey, non-shiny, rough metallic coloring. But it also didn’t appear at the same time completely solid to my view. Didn’t appear to have any wings or appendages. Then something interesting happened. The thin cloud cover it was hovering underneath broke slightly and light shined through (as it was midday) onto the craft. When the light first hit the upper left portion, it appeared to make the dark grey rough metallic exterior more defined and solid. But as the light quickly broke across the front of the craft, the craft seemed to distort the light and the craft almost looked translucent in the middle with a rough outline remaining. I also could see clearly at that point that it was definitely not a plane and definitely had no wings. Again, it was also still hovering still. Up to this point, I had taken my eyes off it several times over the course of a couple minutes to watch the highway/other cars, and I easily re-found the UFO with my sight when I would look back to the cloud cover it was under. After I saw the light change it’s shape and I knew it was something unusual, I reached for my phone to video it. My phone was on the shotgun seat instead of in my center console as usual so I had to take my eyes off the sky and look to grab it. In that instant, I looked back, and the UFO was gone. It either had sped away instantaneously or had become completely invisible. I proceeded to look toward the cloud cover it was near, above, below, etc. as I drove into PA on 95. I was with my daughter and we had planned to grab donuts from the Bakery by the river there and go to the boat lunch to sit in the sun and eat a treat and hang by the river. So, I was basically in the area beneath where I had spotted it for the next couple hours and still so no signs of the craft after. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
This case is under investigation by Assistant State Director Ken Pfeifer.
One of the most intriguing encounters during the summer of 1950, took place in Dardennes in Var, France on 3rd
August. 3-year-old “Lily F” would go missing while playing in a field right next to her parent’s home. However, she wouldn’t return home and her frantic parents began searching the area. They were doing so for over 2 hours and much to their despair they couldn’t find her.
However, she was soon discovered near a small ravine, unharmed and not at all scared. She would go on to tell her parents that she was looked after by a “beautiful lady” who had on a “brilliant white costume”. While some would put such a description down to an angel-type entity. However, such a description might also fit with an extraterrestrial occupant.
Incidentally, this case has all the hallmarks of the Missing 411 type of disappearance cases, some of which reappear in much the same circumstances as Lily F did. Was this a case of alien intervention? Or was it one of the missing person’s cases as recorded by David Paulides? Or might, in a bizarre way, it be partly both of those things? We will examine the Missing 411 mysteries in a future case study article.
At around 10 am on the morning of 4th
August the MARCALA ship, featuring an international crew, was on its way from Walton in Nova Scotia heading to a United States Naval port on the northeast coast of America. As the witness and several of the other on-duty personnel were going about their duties, a cry came out claiming that an object was flying straight toward them.
When the crew focused their attention on the approaching craft, they could see it was flying at an altitude of around 50 to 100 feet above the surface of the water. Rates of speed varied from the crew, with some claiming the object moved around 250 miles per hour while others put the pace closer to 500 miles per hour.
When the cylindrical shaped object was within around 1,000 feet of the ship it would suddenly change course and quickly vanish over the horizon. What further amazed the witnesses was the complete lack of noise from this shining, silver-colored craft.
What perhaps made this incident even more interesting is the interest the United States intelligence services took in it. They would interview all of those on deck at the time of the sighting, including the three main witnesses. They would determine that “despite the discrepancies, it was quite evident to the Intelligence Officers” that the three men were certain of what they had seen. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Me and my 10 year old son saw UFO maybe up to 4 flying over our home about 11 pm last Friday night. They came from the right there is no flight path there we actually saw 2 join into one in a red color but I never got that on film. There was another one that hovered back and forward and side to side over my home. We went downstairs and videoed what was a flashing blue and silver circle moving around. I videoed it when I came back up. I froze shot the video and can see a blue looking circle with what looks like some discharge around it. I have been studying Ufology for 27 years and never seen anything like this. They were not choppers as they made no sound when I flashed my light on my phone. They all came nearer and then slowly dispersed .
One of the most intriguing encounters according to back in the United States at Hamilton Air Force Base. It was early in the morning, a little after 1 am on the 21st
June when the two witnesses, Garland and Pryor, were going about their normal on-duty activities.
However, a strange blue-flame-like object began approaching them in the distance. They would estimate it to be around 2,000 feet high and moving through the air in excess of 1,000 miles per hour. When the two airmen used their military-issued binoculars to view the objects, they could clearly see a “circular craft, think in the center and tapered to (the) edges”. They would go on to describe the object as a cone-shape.
As the object passed over them, the blue flame was distinctly clear. What’s more, it appeared perfectly clear to them that the object was under intelligent control. After it disappeared into the night sky, it would seemingly come back around again. As it reappeared there was a “roaring like thunder” sound that rang over the entire region.
The craft would pass over the base four more times in the next 25 minutes before it finally disappeared. Once again, this continuing circular passes over the base would suggest some kind of reconnaissance mission.
Perhaps of most concern, however, was the suddenly called press conference the day after the sighting. The two pilots would appear and essentially withdraw everything they had said the previous day. With that, the Air Force stated there would be no further comment on the incident. To say some were suspicious of the move would be an understatement. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
One of the first encounters of April, and certainly one that was unnerving for all involved, would take place in the skies over Venezuela in a DC-3 commercial passenger plane on the evening of 2nd
April 1950. In what was an “uneventful” flight, pilots John Power and Angel Delgado would suddenly feel their plane shaking violently. As they grabbed hold of the controls each of them witnessed a “huge machine” surge past their aircraft. Powers would recall
It was an enormous apparatus of aerodynamic form, similar to an immense turtle. And I have no doubt this machine was (intelligently) guided!
On the same evening, over Butler in Pennsylvania, several motorists driving along Highway 38 witnessed a strange light overhead. They would bring their vehicle to a stop so they could get a closer look at this strange aerial anomaly. As they did, they witnessed a fast-moving “silver football” which glistened in the late-afternoon sun.
The witnesses, calm and concise with their details, were insistent that they had not witnessed an airplane or any other type of conventional aircraft. They would describe the object as making no sound whatsoever and around 100 feet long. It was, they would insist, a “metallic-like football” that passed overhead at around 6,000 feet.
As the sightings not only continued but seemingly increased daily, so did the explanations from the authorities. Anything from birds, meteors, and reflections, to simply mass hysteria and outright hoaxes.
Perhaps around this time, the realization that had already hit many investigators who had stuck with such strange incidents in the aftermath of the Roswell incident. The authorities, it would seem, was not only more aware of such activities than they would let on publicly, but where possible, they were actively covering up such encounters.
“We Know Nothing About Flying Saucers!”
On the morning of 4th
April over the Air Force Intelligence headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, two UFOs would approach the base and perform a “fly-around” the perimeters. It was just after 5 am when two “brilliant points of light” appeared in the early morning sky. As they increased in size and glow, more and more people gathered outside the base to witness this most bizarre experience.
Within no time at all the two lights were over the base, “sweeping down” with alarming speed. After circling the base, they then shot back upwards at an equally fantastic rate. They would maintain this climb until they were out of sight of the witnesses.
Before daylight had fully claimed ownership of the skies over Dayton, the two lights appeared once more. This time, they would “dart about in all directions” over the city. Every now and then they would pause and hover momentarily.
Perhaps bizarrely, and once more a testament to the exercise in denial already underway, when authorities received calls from concerned members of the public, they would deny any knowledge of the strange lights and that they “know nothing about flying saucers”. This would prompt one Dayton resident to claim the air force must be “napping over there” if they really didn’t witness the bizarre events.
Whether there is a connection or not is uncertain, but later that afternoon over Denver, Colorado, two similar lights, apparently darting around the skies for several minutes, were witnessed by several residents.
Later that evening at around 9:30 pm over the skies of Delano in California, a “circular object” was witnessed by several residents of the city. According to their report, the object was “whirling on its axis” as it made its way over the city, barely 200 feet from the ground.
Multiple Sightings On The West Coast Blamed On Venus!
The following day brought more multiple sightings across the United States. For example, at around 7 pm on the evening of 5th
April in San Jose, California, an anonymous female resident witnessed a “dull white disc” moving through the morning sky before vanishing behind a shock of trees. The object made no sound and left no vapor or smoke behind. Furthermore, although the witness could tell the craft was metallic, she couldn’t see any markings that you might expect to see on a conventional aircraft.
Later that day, reports of similar objects would surface in Colorado, Michigan, and Arizona. Whether a legitimate explanation or not, many of the sightings, particularly those in the western states of America, were blamed on the planet Venus, which was particularly low on the date in question.
On the same night, across the Atlantic Ocean in the town of Whitby in England, several people witnessed “two rings” moving overhead for around a minute before they disappeared from sight.
The Ardennes Incident, France
Perhaps one of the most bizarre encounters during the 1950 UFO wave took place in early May near Buzany in the Ardennes region of France. On this particular morning, at their usual time of 6:30 am, 14-year-old Madeleine Pierrad went with her father to the meadows to assist in rounding up their cows.
As they made their way to the fields, however, the young girl was surprised at what she at first thought was the unusual lowness of the sun. Then, a strange sound the young girl would describe as “Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!” rang out. As she and her father made efforts to process the bizarre scene in their heads, a “ball of fire” was now visible in front of them. The more they looked at this strange shape in front of them, the more it began to appear saucer-shaped behind the glare.
Then, when the flames cleared a little more, the pair could see through the glass-like exterior. Inside, was a humanoid occupant, wearing a suit that made him appear like the “Michelin Man”. Then, as she was watching this strange figure, she suddenly realized that it too was watching her. The realization shocked her somewhat.
The whole incident lasted approximately two minutes. Then, the object began to rise into the air, spinning slightly as it did. Within several moments, it had vanished from their sight. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Hi Ken: It was 5:30 AM in the morning and it was very cold and I was on my way to work. I was walking along Jetty Marsh road when I saw something very odd. I immediately stopped and watched as a small child size being was slowly crossing the road right in front of me. The small being was translucent in nature but I could clearly see the outline and shape of it. The being was in the middle of the road when a car came up the street and as the car got closer the headlights shone right through the being totally illuminating it which cau sed it to glow. The driver did not seem to see the small translucent being and pasted by at speed. I looked on with amazement as the small being was now on the pavement about 10 feet away from me I could hardly believe what I was seeing. The being never turned nor did it seem to be bothered by my presents. I watched as the being walked up a small grass bank and then stopped when it came up to a wooden fence that was blocking its way. I stood there for a minute or two observing the being as it just stood there facing the wooden fence and did not move in any way which I thought was very strange indeed. Time was moving on and I was late for work and I still had a long way to walk so I ran down the road as fast as I could passing by the area of fence where the small translucent being was standing. I never once looked back I just kept on running until I reached the bottom of the road where I then calmly walked the rest of the way to work even though I was spooked by what I had just seen. I still to this day believe that what I wit! nessed that morning was a small cloaked alien being and it gave me the creeps that’s for sure. This encounter took place October 2002 at Jetty Marsh Road Newton Abbot Devon England. All the best John. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
NEW JERSEY— UFOs and the possibility that aliens from another galaxy could be sending emissaries to check things out on planet Earth have captivated Americans for decades; New Jersey residents make dozens of reports annually of strange happenings in the sky. Navy pilots recently spoke of seeing mysterious objects — with no discernible engine or exhaust fumes — flying at hypersonic speeds, which brought the phenomenon back into the headlines.
So far, there have been 65 reports of unexplained things in the night sky over New Jersey this year, according to the National UFO Reporting Center.
Several reports — including sightings in Sicklerville and Lakewood — are as recent as last week. The most recent report was June 18, when a Sicklerville resident reported seeing flying objects in groups of six or eight. They “seem to be oval in shape” and had an “orange light or beam,” the report said.
Earlier this month, three reports were made in Harrison over five days. Reports of UFO sightings in Harrison were made on June 1, June 4, and June 5.
On May 17, an Egg Harbor Township resident reported seeing a “cluster of bright lights flying very fast over neighbor’s house almost like a giant star.” The lights stopped and hovered for a few minutes, and then the light got dimmer and it disappeared, the resident wrote in the report.
A resident made this report after driving through Heightstown: “My stepmother and I were driving on Indian Hill Road, when we experienced a light gray triangle shaped UFO with red and white lights.”
President Donald Trump recently said he was briefed on UFOs. A group of Senate lawmakers received a classified briefing this week about such objects. And let’s not get started on that strange Facebook video that seems to show a creepy-looking alien
doing some sort of jig down someone’s driveway.
Virginia Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Warner wants answers on UFOs, whether it’s “weather balloons, little green men, or something else entirely,” Rachel Cohen, his spokeswoman, told CNN. And the Navy has drafted guidelines to allow pilots to report UFOs, and so that the military can track them, though the military branch prefers not to use the term “UFO.”
“So, we don’t actually use that term,” Joseph Gradisher, a spokesman for the deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare, told Patch last week. “We use ‘Unmanned Aerial System.'”
The term, shortened to UAS, refers to things like recreational flying drones people can buy at a store. For the “other” things, the Navy uses the term UAP, meaning “Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon.”
“We constitute anything unknown or unidentified in the airspace as an ‘Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon,’ no matter what it is,” he said.
In that spirit, Patch took a peek at the most recent UFO sightings in Virginia — or UAP, if you prefer — using a database compiled by the National UFO Reporting Center. Spoiler alert: So far, no little green men have been seen running around.
According to data compiled by the Center, there were nearly 500 sightings across the country in May and more than 300 in January, March and April.
The Navy seems convinced of the existence of UFOs, telling POLITICO in a statement there were reports of unauthorized and/or unidentified aircraft
“entering various military-controlled ranges and designated air space in recent years.”
“For safety and security concerns, the Navy and the [U.S. Air Force] takes these reports very seriously and investigates each and every report,” the statement said.
And Ryan Graves, an F/A-18 Super Hornet pilot who reported his sightings to the Pentagon and Congress, told The New York Times last month he was one of multiple pilots who saw UFOs. The pilots began seeing the objects in 2014 and 2015 after receiving upgraded equipment.
Initially they believed they were getting bad readings. But the sightings kept happening, showing up at 30,000 feet, 20,000 feet and even at sea level. The objects could speed up, slow down and then reach hypersonic speeds.
“These things would be out there all day,” he said. “Keeping an aircraft in the air requires a significant amount of energy. With the speeds we observed, 12 hours in the air is 11 hours longer than we’d expect.”

It was a little after midnight on the 15th
May 2005 when “Wilfredo” finished work for the evening. He was in the Carolina region of Puerto Rico and walking toward the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. As he made his way along the road, however, “a glow” suddenly appeared from behind a hill in the distance.
Familiar with the plethora of aircraft that came and went from the airport on a daily basis, he knew immediately that there was something very different about this one.
At the same time, Wilfredo noticed the bizarre barking of the dogs and “desperate” singing of the birds nearby. In short, there was a sudden general commotion from the wildlife in the area. This commotion had an unnerving effect on Wilfredo. He glanced behind him. He could see that the road was bathed in a “very large glow”. It was then that he pulled the van over to the side of the road and exited the vehicle. He would continue:
…That’s when I saw an immense triangular object. I can’t give you exact measurements. I can’t describe it in meters. But I can tell you (and compare it) to the size of a ballpark of two enormous ballparks. It was going very slowly and passed directly over me!
All the while, the only noise came from the disturbed wildlife and animals. The craft itself was completely silent. It did, however, appear to “emit some sort of heat”. Like standing close to a “high voltage bulb”. It also appeared to pass much too slowly for a craft of its size. This is an interesting anomaly that presents itself in many such close proximity sightings. In fact, it is likely a point that once understood will signal a better overall collective understanding of such sightings.
So Bright It Lit Up The Clouds And It “Looked Like Noon!”
As the craft passed overhead, the lights and engine of the van went out. Wilfredo’s instincts were to jump inside the van and attempt to restart the engine. Before he did so, however, he reached for his mobile phone and snapped the pictures that would fascinate UFO researchers online and around the world. He would, though, have to “lower the light intensity” as the glowing craft simply wouldn’t show up at first on the device.
Once he had captured the images he jumped back inside the van. He noticed that several other vehicles had also come to a stop along the road, most of them a considerable distance away from him but still very visible.
He remained in his van watching the craft pass over him. As soon as it moved out from directly overhead, the vehicle’s lights and engine came back to life. He would, though, continue to watch the object as it went along its path. He would later tell investigators that there “must be people (at the airport) who saw it too”. Not least due to the lights of the entire facility going out temporarily as the craft passed over it.
Almost as soon as the object was out from over the airport, it began to climb higher in the sky before it “vanished at high speed”. As it continued to climb, the object “continued lighting up more and more clouds” providing a spectacular visual for any onlookers. So much so, despite the late hour, “it looked like noon” until the object finally disappeared.
The Suspicious “Robbery” Right Outside Wilfredo’s Home!
Wilfredo was quite sick after the incident. In fact, he would state that he had “never been so sick” before in his life. What’s more, these strange flu-like symptoms would keep him practically bedridden for almost two weeks.
Around two weeks later another bizarre and likely suspicious incident would unfold. Outside his home, while he was inside, in the middle of a built-up residential neighborhood, Wilfredo’s van was seemingly stolen. He would state:
It was an odd robbery – no one heard anything and my van had a pipe on its muffler that made it heard from far away when the engine was running. But no one heard anything! They took it while I was asleep!
He would also recall how “little spots” had begun to appear on the paintwork of the van. Especially that which was exposed to the glow of the strange craft. Despite his best efforts, he could not remove the “blood-red or mud-colored” spots. It was as though they “were coming from within the paint itself”.
These spots could quite possibly have been a delayed reaction to the exposure to the light of the craft. And more importantly, if studied, may reveal a lot about the source of the light, and possibly the propulsion systems of the craft itself.
With this in mind, it is certainly not that much of a stretch of the imagination to think that the van was “stolen” by a person or persons working for a dark, shadowy element of the intelligent agencies and shadow governments. And in so doing, denying the chance for independent investigators to examine the mysterious spots for themselves. Despite reporting the vehicle as stolen immediately, there was no success in recovering it. It appeared to have simply vanished.
On 03-28-06, the UFO Casebook received a photograph from a reader. The 2005 photograph purportedly shows an alien being partially hidden in some brush.
I enlarged the area in question, and enhanced the area which revealed in fairly good detail what does appear to be that of a being certainly not of human origin. Along with the photo, which is a really nice one I must say, a few details were given. I have written the sender asking for more information regarding the taking of the picture. If and when I receive this info, I will post it to this page. (B J)
Here are the details that I have at this time.
We didn’t really take the picture for the alien, we realized afterwards that it was there. We were over the Arctic Circle, and we were alone, no one within 50 kilometers. We were traveling in a snowmobile. What you see as the main subject of the photograph is an iced over river.
Updated Information: 04-06-06
After sending a request to sender for more information, the UFO Casebook received the following information on April 6.
I don’t really have much more details on that day. I can say that it was a snowmobile ride with some friends, we were 200 km up to north circle, between Sverige and Norway. The nearest city was Kiruna. The photo was taken with a Nikon 5400 with no zoom and it was around midday, of the 20th of December 2005. Nothing strange happened, it was -20°C, and silence all around with some wild animals. That’s all, we realized there was something showing in the photos some months later when a friend of ours kept saying there was something strange in that brush.
On Saturday, around 1700 hrs, I saw the following from my bedroom window in Veitsch, Styria. I have my pc there and was looking again like countless times towards Stanglalm (N.B. that is a local mountain south of my home). I saw 3 silent dark grey objects approx. 20-30 meters in length or diameter coming from the area of Sommerberg flying/gliding towards Stanz in Mürztal. My window was open and at first I thought I saw birds, it was absolutely quit outside, aeroplanes and helicopters make quite a sound. the three flew in a straight line after one other, the first two a few hundrred meters apart and the 3 about 10 second behind the second object at the apparently same height and direction. I knew they were objects rather than bird when the flew through some sort of electrical cloud, I could see numerous flashes of light on the “skin”/outer grey layer on each object. A bird would die instantly if caught in a lightning bolt and crash. I saw each object approx. 3-5 seconds, that was to short to get my olympus 800uz, as it takes 30-45 seconds to fire it up. National Airlines Flight 727. Although small details of the account sometimes change (the location and date), it would appear, according to an account of the incident in the 24th March 1975 edition of the Deseret News, the incident took place sometime in 1970 as the aircraft approached Miami International Airport. As it began its approach to land, however, the plane suddenly vanished from the radar screens of the control tower. All communications would also cease instantly. Fearing an explosion at the worst, emergency response teams scrambled to the runways in anticipation of landing debris or a crippled craft. An alert would go out to all other pilots in the immediate vicinity to report visual confirmation of Flight 727. Or, any sighting of a crashed plane on the ground. And then, as a quiet realization that the loss of life was likely to be high spread over the tower, the plane suddenly reappeared.
“For Ten Minutes, You Just Did Not Exist!”
With this sudden reappearance, the radio communication also came back to life. What was strange, however, was the crew would act as if nothing strange had occurred. In fact, to them, ten minutes hadn’t passed by. They were only speaking to the control a few moments ago as they began their approach. When flight attendants were discreetly asked later if “anything strange” had happened on board the flight as it approached the airport, all answered no, it was a routine landing. Bizarrely, the plane’s on-board clocks would show a ten-minute difference to the control tower. Indeed, they were behind any clock. It was as if, as one air control staff member said “…for ten minutes, you just did not exist”. The crew, who would do “time checks” to ensure there were no faults with the on-board clock against the control tower, had performed such a check only twenty minutes before making their approach to land. And indeed, aside from the ten-minute difference, all the clocks appeared to work as they should. Researcher Martin Caidin, who claimed to speak to several of those involved at the control tower, would disclose more apparent details of the incident. He would state that the crew and especially the passengers, were completely surprised as to why there was such interest in them and their plane. Especially such official looking people. Caidin would write that “Federal investigators and officials of National (Airlines) couldn’t get into that jetliner fast enough”. While the passengers knew nothing of the incident, even they would eventually notice the ten-minute difference with their watches. This, combined with the suspicious “official” activity, would make some of them ponder the circumstances. Might these “officials” have known more than they let on?
An Unintentional “Time Wave” Over Bolivia ?
Again, while it is only speculation, is it possible the rush of Federal investigators to board the plane was to see the results of those onboard? Had there been some kind of secret experiment to skip the plane forward ten minutes? And if so, had this experiment proven successful? Many researchers, including Caidin, would suggest that the eagerness to board the plane was not out of concern or a sense of duty to the passengers and crew. But one of wanting to maintain “control of the situation”. And to ensure as little information as possible entered the public arena. Perhaps this is why there are so few reports of such incidents. Leaving them instead to what are, to some, questionable platforms. This alone assists in damaging the credibility of such accounts. Caidin would also state that many pilots were “reluctant” to tell their stories anyway, especially ones regarding such bizarre phenomena. Although the accounts are open to debate, perhaps intentionally so, there are several examples of these mysterious aerial incidents in more contemporary times. While once again we should perhaps take the claim with a small pinch of salt, according to some reports, an airliner carrying 170 passengers became the unintentional victim of a “time wave”, created by CERN in November 2009. It was instantaneously transported over 5,000 miles away from the skies of Bolivia to somewhere off the coast of the Canary Islands. Around the same time, a blackout struck Bolivia leaving the country in blackness for some time. Furthermore, the plane’s position was near to the “Gate of the Sun”, itself said to have portal-like capabilities from ancient times, connected to the magnetic fields of the Earth. Did these natural magnetic forces react with those of CERN to create a wormhole? NOTE: The above image is CGI.
