On Wednesday, February 3, 1999, at 10:15 a.m., aircraft engineer Garfield Bowser was at the corner of St. George and Bloor Streets in Toronto, the largest city in Canada, when he spied a very large UFO crossing the sky. Bowser reported that he “saw a wingless, noiseless, three-hundred-foot-long, fifty-foot-high object with a ‘nubin’ on top. It was over St. Clair Avenue West a little beyond Casa Loma.” He “estimated that the object was traveling at about 400 miles per hour. No tail fin. Elevation 15 degrees from horizontal. Altitude 10,000 feet, descending to 8 degrees from horizontal two-and-a-half miles to the north. It was very silvery, with pointy-rounded ends and a black horizontal band around it, against a very clear blue sky.” “Having been in the aircraft industry for five years and having an eye and ear for engines, this object is unlike any craft I have observed heretofore,” Bowser stated. The case is being investigated by ufologist Larry Fenwick of the Canadian UFO Research Network. A call to Toronto’s Pearson International Airport revealed that there were “no aircraft in that airspace at the time.” (Many thanks to Errol Bruce-Knapp for this news story.
Just a couple years ago, this hunter from this community took me out hunting. It was winter and dark. On our way back to resolute bay, we neared Cape Marter when we noticed this single bright red light from afar, but that has been approaching slowly. At first we thought it was just a plane approaching. When we realized it was coming too slowly, and it seemed that it would stay in one spot for about 5 seconds before we would notice the red light make a little movement again forward. When we reached around the spot where it would soon come, we stopped our ski-doo’s and just waited for it. About 10 minutes later, it started to appear clearer, at about a 150 to 200 feet away from us, approximately 50 feet from the ground…It was so clear, a disk like flying machine or object with red white and blue light’s all around the sides, flashing rapidly in perfect circular movement around the ship, about the size of a small plane.
A red beam at the front and a huge flash light at the front bottom and was kind of like rotating in circles and back and forth to side to side. It was searching for something. It would stop in mid air while searching with its lights, then moved another 10 feet or so stopped again to search again. It reached about 100 feet away from us and about 50 feet above the ice. I was in complete awe, and amazed to see one that close, when I said…Is that a spaceship ?. The hunter was just standing there in shock and said I don’t know, and I knew the hunter had an i-pod in his pocket because he took pictures earlier of my catch, so I said take a picture, because mine was very packed up in my pack sack in the back of his sleds. When he did, the bright light from the flash of the camera caught the ships attention or what ever was operating it, and it now turned its attention towards us and was now coming.
We both were standing right next to our ski-doo’s, by then the ship was about 50 feet away from us. When panic started to attack me, I freaked out, got extremely scared and ran behind the hunters box sleds, but he could not move. Although I kept calling his name saying their coming, run, we have to hide, but just before the big lights hit our ski-doo ski’s, it rotated back to the direction that it was first going still slanted a little, and it just kept on searching till it disappeared over the hill that we were going to drive pass in order to get home. I have many more encounters to tell, and please forgive me for I am not a hundred % on the time’s because I had no watch, but from what I asked the hunter earlier, the time it was about 8:30ish about an hour earlier.
Just past 6 p.m. on Aug. 11, last year, Diana Luca and her mother, who was visiting from Romania, were chatting at the kitchen table in Luca’s New Westminster home. It was a beautiful windless evening, the clear blue sky visible from their seats in front of a large south-facing window. Out of the corner of her eye, Luca spotted a black object behind the trees in the back alley. “Look, it’s a balloon,” she told her mother. But when the two stepped onto the patio, they saw what they now insist is a UFO. “It still freaks me out. I could see it flying behind the trees and on top of the shorter trees,” says the 34-year-old, recalling the incident from the living room of her new house. Luca claims the object-flat and shaped like a Frisbee-flipped to its underside, which was as red and shiny as a Coke can. Scared, she called her common-law husband, Mark Murphy, who was inside.
By the time he reached the porch, the object looked cigar shaped and was an estimated three kilometres away. Murphy rushed inside to retrieve a camcorder purchased two days earlier, documenting the rest of the sighting on tape, which he keeps under lock and key. The 35-year-old property manager has since copied the tape onto a DVD that he plays over and over. From the right side of the screen, a small, shiny object moves towards the centre, then heads rapidly towards the camera. As it gets closer, it becomes a round, black form that vibrates slightly, at one point turning on its side, giving it the cigar shape. Murphy loses sight of it several times and is forced to refocus to recapture the object on film. It zips across the screen so quickly on another occasion that it can only be seen later, when Murphy watches the tape in slow motion. “It’s something I’ll never forget for the rest of my life – I was in shock.
The clarity of this is just incredible,” he says. “I heard about UFOs but had written [them] off in my head. I’m a skeptical kind of person who has to touch it to believe it, but now I’m not too certain.” It sounds farfetched, but he’s got a lot of company locally. According to the 2003 Canadian UFO Survey, reported by Chris Rutkowski of UFOlogy Research of Manitoba, more than 673 sightings of UFOs-defined literally as flying objects that can’t be identified-were documented across the country last year, including 41 in Vancouver, making it the city with the highest number of reports. Sources of the reports include the National UFO Reporting Center in the U.S., UFO*BC, the Houston B.C. Centre for UFO Research and the Meteor and Impacts Advisory Committee to the Canadian Space Agency. Only 17 per cent of the 673 sightings remain unexplained-the rest were simply fireballs, meteors or other natural phenomena.
On Hunting road, like 1 miles out of town, my friend and I were parked and saw this light coming from the east and at first it looked round and like 20 miles away. I signed it with a flashlight and then I said the UFO is coming our way. We got of the truck and at this time it was bigger and a lot closer. As it came within like 400 feet out and like maybe now like 100 feet up, it went down the side of the hill and now we were looking down at it. I took my friend’s gun 308 and looked at it threw the scope, he did too.
I wanted to shoot but he didn’t. Then it blinked out from the outside edges inward. We were just standing there then it reappeared to the left of us and got bigger from the outside edges outward. It rose straight up and then came near us. We got back into the truck and went off the hill. We got to the main road when it came over the second time we got out and looked at it again with his rifle. I remember looking both ways of the road and I could see that the UFO was like 400 feet round. Only from the road we could where the edges were.
No sound at all. We were at the main road looking in at town Thorne Bay. I called my wife to run to city park and see if she could see it, she was about a mile away from us. She did not see it. The UFO followed us all the way to town where it kept flying very slow over the hill and toward a town called Kassaan. This all happened on Prince of Wales island in Alaska. I’m a pastor and my wife works at our school and my friend works on airplanes, in Ketchikan Alaska. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
APRIL 4, 2007……..YELLOWKNIFE NORTHWEST TERRITORY CANADA
Driving down highway 3 into Yellowknife from Hay river. I saw a bright light that appeared to be a shooting star. I was captured by it when it stopped moving and hovered in 1 location for a while. I pulled the transport over and watched the object through binoculars. seen sphere shaped object in the sky, moving closer and further away, at great speed then hovering. It changed colors, red, blue, green and seemed to have a ring of lights around it, like the rings of Saturn. I turned off headlights on vehicle as it was after 11 pm. The object hovered and then came closer. I got scared and turned headlights back on and object moved closer. There was no noise coming from the object and it seemed to take on 2 shapes, between vertical and horizontal movement. The lights surround the object changed between the 3 colors mentioned above. I stayed and watched it descend and ascend for an hour then I headed into Yellowknife. I have seen it on 4 occasions that week. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
I was in bed, and alerted by bright light in bedroom ( upstairs rear). Drew back curtains and observed a ‘ craft’ approaching slowly from SE with search light directed at ground below. As craft drew neater and level with my upper bedroom window, I noticed no sound or wings or rotors, with no visible means of keeping it airbourne. As it cleared building opposite it slowly turned in my direction passing over my rear garden, as it drew level with my building it turned slowly and continued slowly and very much under control in the same direction. The craft had two inter spaced windows, internally lit along the side. My observation was helped by a fairly bright moon at about 60 degrees away. The side alienated to have. two door or hanger like features . The rear had a couple of ‘struts’ , not wings. I assumed these were strengening supportive struts to support power unit. I was an apprentice aircraft engineer upon leaving school, so I was professionally accustomed to aeronaughtical structures from an early age. I was not a UFO enthusiast before this sighting, but after I was convinced that the craft was not from this world as we had no known technology at the time (or even now) I as not ‘ scared’ yet very awestruck ,as I knew at the time that this craft was not from this world by its very features, and characteristics, and was amazed of its ability to maintain perfect control within around 10 feet, or less, about the rooftops. Revealed in the media next day were sightings of ‘several’ objects over the sea some 1.5 miles away from my craft. These were changing colours, hovering over the water, making two loud bangs and believed by witnesses to submerge under the surface. Nearby Havant police revealed ‘thousands’ of calls from terrified people living on nearby Hayling Island. These ‘objects’ were reported seen for 160 miles along the south coast from the SE/E. These sightings were well documented as a serious event on local TV Chen ens abd newspaper. The final press verdict was they were unknown/I identified. Nothing was reported after that. 1. Where were you and what were you doing at the time? Came home from grocery shopping, placed bags on a table that is directly in front of a window that faces North. 2. What made you first notice the object? On my way home, I noticed the clouds in my area were all kinda odd, seemingly squared off at most angles. When I placed the bags on the table, that’s when I noticed 2 disc shaped craft flying directly overhead. One caught sunlight and reflected it brightly. 3. What did you think the object was when you first noticed it? A disc shaped UFO. Hard to confuse it for anything else during day time, and being under a regular flight path. Planes have wings. Helicopters have rotors and make sound. These two objects had none of the 3 major qualifying factors for being known aircraft. 4. Describe the object and its actions and motions in detail. – Light silver/ chrome colour, reflective. – Disc shape, flying parallel to each other. – Moderate speed, straight path. About the height I see helicopters flying at, moving a little faster than a helicopter, too. – No sound emitted – No obvious mechanical means of propulsion 5. Describe your feelings, reactions and actions, during and after sighting the object. I told my boyfriend what happened who was with me, however he is legally blind and would have extreme difficulty spotting the craft even if they remained still. Didn’t think much of it, I’ve seen weirder things. Decided may as well submit it for the sake of adding more data, didn’t think it was really important at the time considering the objects didn’t do anything major. 6. How did you lose sight of the object? They flew out of view. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
My wife, daughter and myself were having lunch out on our back deck around 2pm, early Sept 2013, when my daughter said ” dad whats that.” My wife and I turned and saw a disk shaped craft about the size of a school bus about 5000ft in the air. It was metallic in color and it was moving forward (west to east direction) but had a wobble effect. We observed it for about a minute, then it stopped, hovered for about 2 to 3 seconds then tilted slightly before ascending through the cloud which as it went through the cloud it punched a hole open in the cloud which we observed as well. After observing this craft I turned to my wife and daughter and asked both what they saw. They both were silent as if unsure on how to respond. Then I asked both did you see a disk that was as big as a bus, no wings, stop in mid air, r tilt then ascend at bullet speed up through the clouds. They both said almost at the same time was that a ufo. We all just stared at one another and finished our lunch. The next day reports of red orbs in the night sky where reported by many in Toronto. I was working in Estevan, at Shand Power station on a shutdown. It was a large shutdown so we had work trailers out in the field and at the time there was very little light by the trailers. I remember I was by myself as everyone was in the power plant. I went in between 2 trailers, 4 meters apart so I could see the stars better and just as I did that I noticed a huge glowing orange/reddish looking metallic disk come floating over the smoke stack from out of no where, 500 feet high, very slowly and then hovered down near me at about 200 feet up in the air. The ship was huge, I’d estimate it at 500 feet diameter. It also appeared to have windows that became see through for a few minutes and I could see a reddish light glow in the ship and the beings controlling the ship I could not see well, just faint shadows of what appeared to be humanoid. The ship had a very quiet hum, it was almost silent. I don’t do drugs, I was not drinking or anything and don’t hallucinate, I knew what I was seeing was real. I almost felt like my family returned to visit me kinda feeling. I remember asking it in my mind to fly in a circle over the trailers and then go up and down and it did what I asked to acknowledge it knew where I was and was conscious of me. I remember thinking thank you for doing that and then it took off in the field slowly and then gained speed and shot upwards on the horizon and then a bright white flash in the sky and it was gone. I’ve had many ufo interactions and encounters all over Saskatchewan and Alberta but this one was the most personal encounter I’ve had so far. I included a painting someone made for me randomly after I told them my story. Its the power plant and the UFO, although the UFO was alot larger than what it is in the painting. Full Description of event/sighting:
We were driving west in the afternoon into Vancouver on the #1 freeway. And in a clear sky overhead and to the south was a black object in the oval shape of a rugby ball! It was not moving and stayed exactly where it was as we approached. It seemed to be about 2000 feet above the ground near our Central Park and about the size of a 747.
Many people pulled off the highway to look at it, including 2 policemen. It did not move at all and was not a balloon or kite. In retrospect, the oval shape could have been a circle shape as viewed from an angle. It seemed like the opening of a round pipe.
We rushed home expecting to hear breaking news but nothing was said about it. I can see the area from my apartment and looked with binoculars after getting home but saw nothing and wondered if my angle of view now was parallel with the shape so it would be a straight line if in fact it was a flat opening of some kind like a disk? I would love to hear what it could have been.
Additional Information:
Brian, thanks for your reply. Please be clear about the included picture; that I used Photoshop to duplicate as close as I could to show what I saw. My wife saw it as well, and it seemed like it was in the area west of Central Park, south of Kingsway. And could have been about 1000 to 2000 feet up.
Our viewing angle was from the #1 freeway. We noticed it somewhere east of Willingdon Ave. interchange. It never appeared to be hovering, or moving at all or affected by wind or anything. It was definitely NOT a balloon or kite. Just solidly stationary in the sky. As if it was a flat plane of black disk, not even an edge to it. Nor did there appear to be any structure or shape to it other than the solid black disk. No light reflected off anything.
As we got just past the Willingdon exit, the traffic slowed down and we pulled to the side of the road as others did. There were even two RCMP officers stopped on a side road, (on what I think might be called Clydesdale St. which leads onto Grandview Hwy at Boundary Rd) they were out of their police car looking up at it too. Other traffic had slowed. I passed by and went home, listening to the radio for reports, but there were none. I even expected the 6 PM news to have video. When I got home, I live in a high rise in Vancouver and could see in that direction east, Central Park is directly in my eastern view, I got out my binoculars but could see nothing. I accounted that to the fact that I thought it was a flat object, and from my new view, it would only be a line in the sky if it was still there at all.. The thought did come to mind that it could have been a circular shape, if viewed directly from below, however I never went closer to find that out. NOTE: The above image is CGI..
