I was driving through Kingston New Hampshire on my way home from Seabrook New Hampshire. At 10pm on route 107 I noticed extremely bright lights in the sky. Initially I figured that it was just a plane but the lights just seemed to be too bright. I slowed down my car and as it got closer. I could see the lights were shaped differently than on a plane. The craft was shaped basically like.”V” and on each wing there were two very big bright lights positioned close to each other. There were also two bright white lights in the front of the craft but those were much smaller than the ones on the wings. The craft was flying west and eventually flew right over my head. It was high in the sky just based off off the tree line but I could still see that it was extremely big. Much much bigger than a passenger airplane. It also made no noise whatsoever. I was on a pitch black road with no street lights or other cars and I couldn’t hear anything, even when it was directly above me. The whole event lasted maybe 2 or 3 mins. It made no side movements or anything strange at all other than just looking like something that didn’t look like it belonged in the sky. It flew in a total straight line from the moment I saw it until I couldn’t see it anymore.

I was at home watching TV. Our living room has a huge window that has an impressive view on the sea. From the couch, I can look through the window and see a broad landscape, with no obstacles, just sea and sky. Around 9.30pm, I see an unusual light in the sky, one that looks like a huge star, so I stand up and start to observe. I knew there was the event of Jupiter passing on Venus, but when I checked the time for that specific event it didn’t correspond to what I was seeing. So I decided to take my professional camera to take some pictures so that I would be able to zoom in the image and understand better what was happening, also because the look alike star I first saw, had changed shaped, came closer and descended to a close point to the horizon, above the sea. I start to take some pictures with the camera, sit back on my couch, zoom in the pictures and get absolutely shocked of what I see: – in the first picture, there are two UFO.

One that I didn’t see with my eyes because I was too focused on the light point. It was in a kind of round boomerang shape with some kind of multicolour led lights around it. I shot with a 2 seconds exposure and that object is perfectly sharp, it was static. – the second UFO (the one I saw), that is in all my other pictures, has a very bright light and some kind of green “wing”. I lost sight of it because it simply vanished by becoming smaller and smaller, and appeared again two/three times with about 10 minutes interval. I wrote to my neighbour for her to look outside and see this strange thing and she saw it too. I’m not sure it was the same because it was the 4rd apparition and it was almost an hour from the first apparition and I was feeling very dizzy, confused and drained. I knew I had evidences of what I saw and that was enough to make me feel more calm. I felt like I was seeing something very special and unique, but at the same time I felt scared because I didn’t know what it was and if it could harm me somehow.

Hi Ken: I was sky watching and it was quite cold out I had been outside for about 45 minutes and I was about to go back inside when I spotted a slow moving light that was quite bright and had a yellowish tinge to it. I wondered what it could be so I looked through my high power zoom binoculars and began to focus in on the light. Right away I could see that the light was coming from an object that was round with a centred inner circle. The inner circle part of the object was were the light was emitted from.

  The object was quite large and it’s surface appeared to be bumpy and uneven.  It was definitely something strange and out of the ordinary. It was very odd looking… I had my Nikon P900 camera set up on a tripod ready for use so it was very easy for me to turn the camera in the direction of the object and start shooting while observing it through my high powered binoculars. The object then changed shape and began to open up revealing what looked like an uneven rounded globe inside. I was really confused by what I was seeing.  

I continued to watch as the object then began to close up again. What on earth could this object be? I watched as the object then shifted into a different shape and then shot off at high speed to the north where I lost sight of it. I was left perplexed and scratching my head. I managed to take five photographs of the strange object and the photographs were taken on the ‎8th of November 2017, 7:43 PM 2017 at Newton Abbot Devon England. All the best John

November 8, 1995 at approximately 8:40p.m., in rural Rosholt, Wisconsin, there was a flash of light that illuminated the entire area around our house. I was in the basement and my mother and stepfather were upstairs. We all went to the front door and noticed an orange orb hovering over a tree line, to the south. I am not sure of the distance, but my best guess is around a half-mile. The object appeared several times the size of a star. It appeared to glow slightly, but the shape was a solid sphere. The orb hovered in the same spot for about 20 minutes. The orb then slowly descended below the tree line until what must have been close to ground level, then ascended back to the original elevation. This took approximately 30 seconds. The orb then traveled east at a speed similar to an airplane. After traveling for about ten seconds, the object reversed direction instantly, without any change in speed. The object arrived back at the original location and disappeared. At the same moment the orb disappeared, a circle of 8-10 large, bright lights flashed one at a time directly over the field to the south/southwest of our yard. I would say it was no more than 500 feet from our front door, and 250 feet above ground. There was no sound. I would estimate that the width of the object/lights was 75-100 feet. Once the last light went out, there were no more sightings. We continued to look around, all of us a little “freaked out” now. After a couple of minutes, military jets flew over. I thought it sounded like they were flying to the northeast, but I couldn’t be certain. I phoned the Stevens Point Municipal Airport and reported what I saw. I was told they hadn’t seen anything. I then phoned the Stevens Point Journal newspaper. They told me that they had received multiple reports of 2 F-16s “chasing a UFO.” The November 9 1995 Stevens Point Journal has a front page article with a quote from a Lt. Col. saying that it was the 115th Fighter Wing of Traux Field in Madison, Wisconsin “practicing night flying.” The article concludes with “The only thing they were chasing after were themselves.” (I still have this newspaper if the full article is needed)  NOTE: The above image is CGI.

Without doubt the most unusual, official UFO report I ever came across during my time spent digging through the files of the National Archive  at Kew, England, surfaced in 1999. It concerns an incident that dated from 1966 and that originated with the British Royal Air Force’s Provost and Security Services – an arm of the RAF that until 1998 had its headquarters at a British RAF base named Rudloe Manor, and that was, for many years,  the central hub for classified, official UFO investigations.  In a painstakingly-detailed report, one Corporal R.A. Rickwood, of the P&SS Special Investigation Section, related to his superiors the facts. In fact, so profoundly weird and intriguing is the file, I have presented it below, without edit or interruption:“On 10th November 1966 a telephone message was received from Flight Lieutenant Williams, RAF Shawbury, reporting that a Mrs. Foulkes of [Address of the witness] Shrewsbury, had complained that his daughter had been frightened by an object in the sky whilst she had been driving along the A5 road near Great Ness at 2355 hours on 8th November 1966.“This object had emitted brilliant lights and radiation beams. On arriving home her daughter had been in a distressed condition and she had discovered marks on the car, which she considered were burn marks.  “On 14th November 1966, Miss Diane Foulkes, aged 22 years, a typist employed in Shrewsbury was seen at her home in the presence of her parents. She stated that she had received a letter dated 11th November 1966 from RAF Shawbury signed by a Flight Lieutenant Penny informing her that no service aircraft had been flying in that area at the time of the incident.  “She was now satisfied that the incident was in no way connected with the Royal Air Force or the Armed Forces. She then went on to relate her experiences connected with this enquiry.

There had been two similar incidents. The first occurred two years ago in November 1964, when she had been driving from Shrewsbury to her home along the A5 road. “This was at about 0200 hours as she neared the Montford Bridge over the River Severn. Approximately midway between Shrewsbury and Great Ness a brightly lit circular object appeared in the sky above her car. She had been frightened and had accelerated along the road. The object had kept pace with her remaining at the same height until she arrived home.  “She had told her mother and father who also watched the object. She described the object as an especially bright light in the sky which remained stationary due west from their home for about half an hour. It had then rapidly diminished in size and they assumed it had accelerated away from them. No sound was heard from the object. The light was yellow in colour and became red as it diminished.

“The second incident occurred on the 8th November 1966 at 2355 hours and again whilst she was returning from Shrewsbury on the same road. The object had again appeared at Montford Bridge but this time it was much lower in the sky and on the north side of the road. On this occasion she could see rays of light shooting from the object which had again appeared to keep station with her car until she arrived home. At one time during the journey the object travelled near her and the rays seemed to come towards the right hand side of her car.  “She felt a bump against that side as if they had struck it. At this moment she felt as if she had received an electric shock and had felt a severe pain in her neck. The left-hand side headlight of the car also went out. This made her extremely frightened. When she got home she felt very ill and had complained to her parents.  “The object again remained stationary in the sky north of her home and had not been seen by her parents. They had noticed it for a short time before going inside her home. There had been no sign of the object on the following morning. Miss Foulkes’ parents confirmed seeing an object in the sky on both occasions as described by their daughter and agreed with her descriptions of these.  “Miss Foulkes further stated that she believed that the objects could be associated with a Mr Griffin who lived in the area and who is reputed to have made contact with these objects and actually entered one and met one of the occupants. He is also alleged to make his contacts with them at Montford Bridge.  “The local civil police had no information or reports of sightings of objects in the sky. There is no evidence to associate the incidents complained of with the Royal Air Force and the complainant Miss Foulkes is now satisfied that the incidents are unexplainable and are in no way connected with the Armed Forces.”  In essence, that is the file.

It is clear from examining its contents that the witness had reported some stunning experiences: “the rays of shooting light” that enveloped her car; the electric shock-like pain that surged through her neck as the vehicle was bathed in the beam of light; the loss of power from the car’s headlights (something that is reported time and again in UFO encounters); and the potentially-worrying fact that the experience had left the witness “very ill.”  Perhaps the most significant factor, however, was the reference of the Provost and Security Services to a man in the near vicinity that had reputedly “made contact with these objects and actually entered one and met the occupants.”  Prior to the 1970s, very little exposure was given to so-called alien abduction incidents; however, many of the factors present in the P&SS report lead me to believe that something very strange indeed had taken place in the Great Ness area of Shrewsbury in 1966, and that that “something” was very possibly connected with abduction-like encounters.  Oddly, despite the fact that the official file on this case was declassified way back in 1999 – and the document at issue has been examined by a handful of UFO researchers since then – it seems that little or no attempt has been made to resolve the case. Perhaps now, with its contents highlighted here at Mysterious Universe, someone will take a fresh look at the case and attempt to resolve the question of what really happened nearly half a century ago on that long gone night at Montford Bridge.  NOTE: The above image is a rendering.
