GROUP OF CHILDREN HAVE A UFO CLOSE ENCOUNTER IN LITTLEBOROUGH ENGLAND

A group of children playing in Littleborough reckon they have had a close encounter with a UFO. So vivid was their experience at about 7pm on Thursday they have started to draw what they saw. They say the spacecraft hovered slowly just over the rooftops for several minutes and then shot off at hyper speed. Lindsey Stansfield, of Timbercliffe, Summit, said her sons, Louis, aged eight, and Cameron, aged five, were playing with friends on a trampoline outside their home when they spotted the ‘extra terrestrial’. She said: “The children saw the object flying slowly above the houses. Some of the children thought it was triangular in shape and others square, but it could have been to do with what angle they saw it.” “It had red lights around the edge and yellow lights in the middle. They rushed in to tell us about it, but the time we got out it had gone. The children say the object had stopped above the house behind us and then shot off in hyper drive.

Later that evening they started drawing pictures of what they had seen.” “I would like to know if anyone else in Littleborough saw the object.” Louis said: “I looked up and saw some lights flashing in the sky. I went in the house to get my mother, but when we went out it had gone.” A spokesman for the National Air Traffic service said: “There was no reported alien activity in controlled airspace that we are aware of.” A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Defense said: “I am not aware of any other reported sightings. We do have a UFO report line telephone number so that people can report things which they cannot explain.” She said sightings were checked to see if they had any defense significance, whether the UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile air activity. ALIEN CRAFT PHOTOGRAPHER AT AIR SHOW IN ENGLAND

Hi Ken: I went to Somerset to visit Weston Super Mare and watch the air show which they have yearly. The beach was packed with people but luckily I managed to find a nice spot on the beach with a nice clear view. I had sat down in my chair and began to watch the air show. I was watching a formation of planes performing aerobatic maneuvers when I spotted a flying saucer that was at a higher elevation and was stationary in the sky. I immediately turned my full attention to the saucer and took a photograph. I then watched as the saucer moved up into the thick cloud cover and disappeared from sight. I looked around the clouds for a while hoping to get another glimpse of the saucer but it never re-emerged from the clouds so I turned my attention back to the planes and continued to watch the air show. When I zoomed in on the flying saucer in the photograph I could see that the edge of the saucer was cog / gear like which I thought was very interesting. I know of no aircraft with this configuration. I could also see that there was no means of propulsion for the craft. The saucer was not the only strange object that I observed around the area. I also observed a black basketball shaped probe that flew along the shore line before it flew up into the clouds. I managed to capture this in a photograph along with a reflective silver craft that was also flying amongst the clouds. There seems to be a lot of UFO activity around this area and I would normally put this down to the increased number of aircraft in the sky but in this case I would point out that Hinkley point power station is near this location and can be seen from Weston Super Mare. Hinkley comprises of two nuclear power stations. I think that these crafts are most likely monitoring these nuclear sites. There is always an increased UFO presents around nuclear facilities. BRITISH MINISTRY OF DEFENCE URGED TO RE-OPEN UFO PROJECT

One of the foremost authorities on British UFO research has come forward to urge the British government to re-open its investigation of anomalous aerial phenomena. Nick Pope, former head of the Ministry of Defence UFO desk, has publicly called for the MoD to restart its research into unidentified flying objects and other aerial anomalies. Will the Ministry of Defence take heed?

Nick Pope served at the Ministry of Defence from 1991 to 2006 where he was tasked with investigating reports of UFOs to determine if they posed any risk to British defense. In reality, as our own Nick Redfern has pointed out, Pope was likely merely there to serve as a lightning rod to attract reports which were then actually investigated by members of the Defense Intelligence Staff (DIS) with security clearances.

Still, like Tom DeLonge, Pope was given a level of access to information and institutions that few civilians ever do – even if either one or both were merely part of a government disinformation or public appeasement campaign of some kind. Like DeLonge, Pope also now makes quite a bit of money and publicity off of his legit UFO researcher cred, regardless of if he ever came across any ‘real’ proof of anything anomalous.

Thus, make of it what you will when Pope pops up in the news with some big development. This week, Pope is making the rounds in the British tabloids with his call for the MoD to follow the lead of the U.S. Navy and draft a new policy for documenting and reporting UFOs. “I strongly support the US Navy’s policy, which is a sensible response to the defence, national security and air safety issues raised by the phenomenon – whatever its true nature,” Pope told Metro. “I hope the US policy initiative will lead to the UK following suit. It’s time either to re-open the MoD’s UFO project or put some new reporting arrangements in place.”

Pope even drafted a set of guidelines of his own for reporting unidentified aerial phenomena, writing that the MoD should create a new dedicated unit for collecting these reports:

A new MoD unit should be set up to investigate all such occurrences. All aircrew of all branches of the military who see such objects/phenomena, all civilian aircrew, all radar operators who detect uncorrelated targets, and any other military, MoD or defence contractor witnesses should make a full report to this unit as soon as possible.

Pope writes that the MoD should take each report seriously, cross-checking each with military, civilian, and space radar operated by the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System at RAF Fylingdales. Given the number of times the Royal Air Force has been scrambled in response to unidentified objects lately, I’d say they likely already do, but who knows?
