I was at an elevated area overlooking the town, trying to spot any anomalous objects in the vicinity. I was zoomed in with my Nikon P900 camera, looking towards Buckland at the fields above the housing estate, when, just as I was in the process of taking a burst of photos, an anomalous object flew up from a field. I captured it in three photographs as it ascended and disappeared from view. The object was oval-shaped and looked metallic. it was definitely anomalous. I had been walking around the neighborhood taking random photos, and I had already seen a flying saucer very close up this day, but for some reason, I couldn’t seem to press the shutter button. My finger just would not move. It was very strange, but at least I managed to capture this oval-shaped object above the Buckland area. Might have witnessed abduction of person across the alley from me. Don’t want to report because its crazy. Putting it out there anyway.
Took my dog out at around 3 am, September 13th, 2025. Noticed what I thought was a basketball sized spherical lawn decoration flashing gray, black, and purple lights (to the best of my recollection)on or just above the roof of the house basically across the alley from me. My backyard faces their backyard. Their backyard is sandwiched between their house in the front and a garage that is in the alley. Then I noticed to my left, swooping down were what appeared to be pretty decent sized yellowish lights about the size of what I assumed was 4 or 5 foot drone. Only 1 big light on each 1, not blinking. They came in pairs from what I could see when they came out of the very cloudy sky and started moving east in almost a search pattern. I watched about 3 or 4 pairs swoop down with around a minute delay between each pair.(could have been the same 2 as they went out of my line of sight almost immediately.) It was then that I looked to my right, southeast, and noticed the ‘sphere’ was slightly moving around and was now a good 5-10 feet above their roof. As i was looking left, right, left, right, left, to observe both things happening, the sphere morphed or I dont even know, wasn’t a small sphere anymore, but it appeared to be maybe a 8-10 foot classic flying saucer except it was covered with strobing lights. After being in awe and just observing both shows for around 10 or 15 minutes, I got my phone out to get a picture and then It moved away at a moderate pace before I could get a picture at that range. It now appeared at around the 2 o’clock position above my neighbors house, appearing to be the same size and brightness as an extremely bright star. There were some scattered clear skies and that’s where this thing parked or hovered.
The next part is why I hesitate to share my experience. It sounds so insane. It happened almost 5 or 6 hours ago and im still shaking. Ok, the lights swooping down from my left, from earlier, I’m not sure if that continued too long. Maybe 7 times that I observed. So I’m still looking around while keeping glued to the saucer so I don’t lose it or miss something, and I notice flashing red lights from behind or in the clouds. By that I mean maybe 5 spots around the sky have what I thought was airplane lights flashing, making them dim becauseof the clouds. . When they exited cloud cover, it appeared that they were all headed towards my neighborhood. And the lights were like a pulsing red light, an almost lazer like oval pulsing light. Except it would pulse, and then a couple seconds later, pulse again at its next location. When it got closer and i could see it pretty decent because of streetlights, and the moon, and patio/deck lights from other neighbors, plus the light emitting from this thing. It looked almost like a piano about the size of a couch cushion. No legs. Now imagine where the keys on a piano are, that part was a bowed out box shape like the rest of it. On that part, which is also the front. facing outward, is what looked like a grid of small squares, covering that part completely except a border around the edge. It looked black everywhere except for this grid area. This grid was emitting an extremely bright red light as it came swooping in. As he got close to my yard, maybe 50 feet from me, it turned away and made a straight path towards the house across the alley. It goes at an angle and glides along the garage in the alley and all the way up to the house and does the same thing there. It kind of looked like those red lights were sensors and it was looking through the roof of my neighbors garage and house.
Now, I left out that the red light thing may have done something to me. I’m not sure how to explain it. I was intrigued and curious. All of a sudden i was absolutely terrified. I was literally shaking. If I would have seen that red light again i would have ran inside. I know I watched it for a while but I didn’t think it was 5 hours. I didnt get inside until 7ish am. Thats when it all finally went away. Everything kind of coasted away to the southeast, except the sphere/saucer and I kept my eye on it to the end. Eventually it rose at a pretty slow pace until it became a dot. The clouds were mostly clear by the end and the dot eventually disappeared too. I’m not sure if I had missing time or not. I know I was not even the least bit concerned with the time during this ordeal but 5 hours doesn’t seem right. Maybe the fear i felt had something to do with it.
I did get a few pictures and videos. I dont think I’ll share this with anyone i know. I’m sharing here and maybe 1 more reporting center to get the info out. But I’m aware it makes me look like a crazy or a liar. I’ve never even heard a story like this before and I’ve been studying this stuff for a long time. I’m curious if my neighbor noticed anything or remembers anything but I can’t ask. Also, there were airplanes flying by during this too. I think just normal air traffic but just wanted to clarify i didn’t confuse a winged craft, a helicopter, or a balloon with the stuff I seen. It could have possibly been drone tech, but i highly doubt we have this stuff. Who knows though.

There was bright lights in the middle and several orbs rotating around it perfectly as it moved through the sky.
I was looking out the window and I saw something strange. I immediately knew I had never seen anything like it so I called my sister to look. She didn´t have her glasses on so she was wondering if if was a helicopter but we couldnt hear anything. She went to grab her glasses and I asked her to get her camera as well because i knew it had good zoom. I´m a photography student in my free time so I did my best to capture what I could and I cant explain what I saw. There was bright lights in the middle and several orbs rotating around it perfectly as it moved through the sky. One of the orbs fell out of line n went down but im not sure where it went. I saw it South west from me then it traveled north and then continued moving west into the sky until we could no longer see it.
An Alberta couple captured something extraordinary on camera during the evening of July 2, 2025. Just after a powerful lightning strike near their home in Rich Valley, Alberta, they saw what they described as a ball of fire hovering roughly 20 feet above the ground.
“It just appeared out of nowhere,” one of them recalled. “A big, glowing sphere hanging in the air — and then, just like that, it vanished.”
The main stream media are trying to blame this on the weather speculating the glowing orb could be ball lightning, an elusive and still-unexplained weather phenomenon reported for centuries. Often described as floating spheres of light, ball lightning has defied scientific consensus. But could it be more than just an atmospheric anomaly?
A similar sighting occurred in 2016 in Russia’s Novosibirsk Region, where a massive, luminous sphere was seen drifting silently across a field before vanishing into nearby woods. That object, see image below, too, appeared after intense lightning activity and left experts just as baffled.
Is this truly a rare natural phenomenon? Or are we witnessing something beyond the scope of conventional science, a window into technology or intelligence we don’t yet understand?
A man and his wife were at the gazebo in the University of Victoria, a favourite viewing spot for them. They were looking eastward across the Straits of Juan De Fuca, towards Vancouver, when they saw a bright light, the colour of fire, indulge in high speed erratic motions. They watched it for about 8 minutes before it disappeared into the ocean(?) or landed(?). The light was 1/2 the size of a dime held at arm’s length. A few minutes later, another fiery object appeared in the same spot and “danced” around the sky in an identical manner. After about 8 minutes, this object also disappeared in a similar manner. This object appeared to be more of a triangular shape. A little later, a third yellow/gold object appeared and repeated the antics of the two previous objects. Last Sunday I had a rather strange encounter with a disturbing object in the sky above Wurzburg, Germany. I was walking along the railroad lines along the river Main to scout new fishing locations. It was already pretty late, it was getting dark, I started to freeze and I wanted to move back towards the city, when I noticed the silence.
There was no car, nothing. I stopped and looked around me. Although it was a pretty bad day to be out, nature had a strange beauty in the fading daylight.
Suddenly I got a strange feeling in my chest, like when I was standing on a vibrating platform, but only very faint. Suddenly I felt weak and then I noticed an object in the sky.
It was hovering just at the base of the deep hanging clouds and disappeared every once in awhile into the moving clouds maintaining its altitude.
There was no sound except some light wind, only the strange humming feeling inside my body, maybe like pulsating electricity, I have no idea, I haven’t felt like that before.
At first, while it was still pretty close, I didn’t move at all. I was like in a shock. But while it slowly moved away I realized that what I was seeing might be quite unique and took out my cell phone.
I wanted to take a picture but the display wasn’t working right. The images had stripes and pressing the trigger didn’t do anything.
Only when the object was already pretty far it worked, I shot the attached picture and then, seconds later, the disk was covered in clouds once more and I never saw it again. Here are a few facts:
size: can’t tell, but I would guess it was pretty big, like 50 meters maybe? The clouds, although deep this day, are still a few hundred meters above ground, so the thing should be bigger than just 10 meters.
Shape: flat gray disk with lights at the bottom
Height: just below the clouds/ in the clouds
Time: around 6 PM, dawn
Speed: slowly moving across the sky
Lights: three white/bluish and one red, no blinking etc.
Duration: very hard to tell, it felt much longer than it probably was, maybe 15 seconds for the whole encounter
As I work for the local city administration I cannot give you my real name, nobody would take me serious anymore here in Wurzburg. I never believed in aliens or UFOs, but this thing got me thinking and I actually have no satisfying explanation for it.
Maybe you guys know more about this thing, especially because it doesn’t look like the typical UFO that I have seen on the many silly photos on TV.
Hi Ken: I was outside photographing the sky focusing on an area that had a contrail running through it along with a plane that was also in the process of crossing that area of the sky, leaving another contrail in its wake. I was zoomed in on that particular area with my Nikon P900 camera looking through the viewfinder when suddenly a large heptagonal-shaped anomalous object appeared between the two contrails that were running diagonally across the sky. I immediately took a photograph as seeing a heptagonal-shaped UFO is extremely rare, especially one of this tremendous size, which dwarfed the plane that was leaving the contrail below. I tried to zoom in further upon it, but before I could it instantly vanished from view, having seemingly cloaked. As I have previously stated in prior reports, I always see these anomalous objects within the vicinity of aircraft, whether it is a commercial or military aircraft. It’s a real mystery as to what is going on up there. The photograph was taken at 12:04 PM on the 27th of October 2017, at Newton Abbot, Devon, England. All the best John.

It looked like a Superman. I was 15 years old, it looked like it was sitting on the ground. It was light glowing yellow. I was to take out the trash after supper. I went outside and threw away. The trash turned around, and I thought I was looking at an atmospheric effect of a super moon. It was so large. For some reason, I stopped and looked down at my feet and I realized I was out in the alfalfa field behind our house. I could see South Mountain in the distance. I just stood there mesmerized. Unsure of what I was looking at. Questioning what could make the plants glow that bright underneath of it. I turned around and I was 30 feet or 40 feet away from our home. And when I turned back around, it was still there. I just remember being in all of what could this be? This was so cool a super moon that looks like it’s that close to the ground? I could hardly believe it. As I was standing there, just staring at it I didn’t remember moving, but I was now about 50 to 60 feet away from our home out in the alfalfa field.
I remember hearing my mother call me and again I’m just looking at this sphere and there’s a hum. I can see a saguaro cactus in front of it the shape of a saguaro cactus. It seemed like it was just a few minutes. And my mother, I heard my mother calling my name, and I turned around. That was when I realized I was about 50 to 60 feet out in that field. I am petrified of snakes and Gila, monsters, black widows, all those things poisonous in Arizona. Rattlesnakes. I remember turning around to look at it one more time, but it was gone just gone no noise nothing. Just gone. And when I turned around again, I hollered at my mother. I’m here I’m here. And she said to me, “where have you been? Oh my God what are you doing out in the middle of that field. Where have you been? We’ve been looking for you for over an hour. And she hollered in the house, “I found her.” “I found her!” All that went through my mind was an hour and a half? How could that be? I’d only been outside a few minutes maybe 10. At least that’s what it felt like.
I said to her what do you mean I’ve been right here. I was staring at the moon. And at that point was when I turned around and saw that it was gone. It must’ve been several weeks later, when I was drying off after a shower that I looked down and saw two little cup marks on my leg. Bike someone had taken a scoop of skin. I didn’t know what to make of it. I was too afraid to say anything to my mother. So I kept it to myself. All of these years I’ve kept it to myself. But last night, when talking with my sister, I told her what it happened. I asked her not to think I was crazy. And she shared with me that she had seen UFOs flying behind our house over that alfalfa field before. I reported this to move on several years ago but heard nothing back and reply. I was 15 years old at that time. I am 64 now. And that memory is a strong in my mind as if it happened yesterday. It is the most vivid memory I have of our time in Arizona, and I was there for two years. Not even the Grand Canyon do I member as well. One of the most powerful U.S. senators in modern history actually eye-witnessed two UFOs while on a fact-finding trip through Russia in 1955, and the U.S. government kept the sightings a secret for more than three decades.
The incredible encounter is detailed in 12 TOP SECRET CIA, FBI, and Air Force reports-and declassified in 1985.
Those startling reports reveal that Senator Richard B. Russell, Jr. (D-GA), then chairman of the Armed Services Committee-was on a Soviet train when he spotted a disc-shaped craft taking off near the tracks.
He hurriedly called his military aide and interpreter to the window and they saw the UFO, plus another one that appeared a minute later. The astonished trio reported the sightings to the U.S. Air Force as soon as they were out of Russia.
“The three observers were firmly convinced that they saw a genuine flying disc,” says an Air Force Intelligence report, dated October 14, 1955, and classified TOP SECRET at the time.
Senator Russell served 38 years in the Senate. He was its senior, and one of the most influential senators at the time of his death in 1971. He was chairman of the Armed Services Committee from 1951 to 1969, and unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Presidential nomination in 1952.
The mind-boggling documents detailing his UFO encounter were made available by the Fund for UFO Research and its chaiman, Dr. Bruce Maccabee. Several key documents were obtained by the group through the Freedom of Information Act.
“These long secret documents are of major importance because they show for the first time that one of the most powerful U.S. Senators witnessed and reported a UFO,” said Dr. Maccabee.
The Air Force Intelligence report says Russell and his two traveling companions spotted the UFOs on October 4, 1955, while traveling by rail across Russia’s Transcaucasus region.
“One disc ascended almost vertically, at a relatively slow speed, with its outer surface revolving slowly to the right, to an altitude of about 6000 feet, where its speed then increased sharply as it headed north,” the report states.
“The second flying disc was seen performing the same actions about one minute later. The take-off area was about 1-2 miles south of the rail line.
” Russell “saw the first flying disc ascend and pass over the train,” and went “rushing in to get Mr Efron (Ruben Efron, his interpreter) and Col. Hathaway (Col. E. U. Hathaway, his aide) to see it,” the report said.
“Col. Hathaway stated that he got to the window with the Senator in time to see the first (UFO), while Mr. Efron said that he got only a short glimpse of the first. However, all three saw the second disc and all agreed that they saw the same round, disc-shaped craftas the first.”
The Air Force report was written by Lieut. Col. Thomas Ryan, who interviewed Senator Russell’s companions in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on October 13, after they arrived there from Russia shortly after the sighting.
In his report, Col. Ryan called the sightings “an eyewitness account of the ascent and flight of an unconventional craft by three highly reliable United States observers. He added that Col. Hathaway led off his account of the sightings by saying: “I doubt if your going to believe this, but we all saw it.” Senator Russell was the first to see this flying disc we’ve been told for years that there isn’t such a thing, but all of us saw it.”
CIA documents show that the agency later interviewed the three eyewitnesses in the Russell party and also a fourth person, unidentified in the reports, who had seen the UFOs. An eyewitness, whose name was blacked out on the CIA report prior to its declassification, said one of the UFOs “had a slight dome on top” and also a “white light on top.” The edge of the disc was glowing pinkish-white, he added. The UFO rose “vertically with the glow moving slowly around the perimeter in a clockwise direction, giving the appearance of a pinwheel.”
Interpreter Ruben Efron told the CIA that visibility was excellent. As one UFO approached the train, he said, “the object gave the impression of gliding. No noise was heard and no exhaust was heard, and no exhaust glow or trail was seen by me.”
After the encounter, Senator Russell told the men with him:
“We saw a flying disc. I wanted you boys to see it so that I would have witnesses,” according to the CIA documents.”
And an FBI memo, dated November 4, 1955, also discusses the sighting and admitted Col. Hathaway’s testimony “would support existence of a flying disc.”
Dr. Maccabee, of the Fund for UFO Research, believes that Senator Russell and his group never publicly revealed their incredible sightings “because they were no doubt advised not to talk. These documents provide startling new evidence that UFOs exist.”
Mr. Tom Towers, in his January 20, 1957, column, ‘Aviation News,’ for the Los Angeles, CA, Examiner, printed the contents of a letter from Senator Russell, which was in response to a request for information about the sightings in Russia.
Mr. Towers had originally contacted Senator Russell’s office by letter with the request that he be given permission to “break” the story.
The Senator wrote:
“Permit me to acknowledge your letters relative to reports that have come to you regarding aerial objects seen in Europe last year. I received your letter, but I have discussed this matter with the affected agencies of the government, and they are of the opinion that it is not wise to publicize this matter at this time. I regret very much that I am unable to be of assistance to you.” The letter was dated 17 January, 1956.
On July 17, 1955, an unidentified flying object was spotted in the Bexleyheath area by several people.
Now a former policeman is doing research on the sightings.
Two Bexley men, both now in their 60s, have recently been reliving their own X-Files experiences from their childhood.
Rodney Maynard, from Belvedere, who is now 62, has contacted the News Shopper to reveal he was one of the youngsters who saw the UFO featured in our September 4 edition
Retired policeman John Hanson, from the West Midlands, was appealing for a group of children who saw the craft land in the King Harold’s Way area of Bexleyheath in 1955 to get in touch with him, as he is researching the incident for a book.
Mr Maynard was 15 at the time and was working as a labourer on a building site in nearby Streamway.
He remembers the incident vividly.
“We were on our lunch break when we heard something was happening in King Harold’s Way. So we went up there to have a look.
“This thing had landed in the roadway. It took up the whole width of the road and overlapped onto the pavements.
“It wasn’t on the ground, it had about eight massive suckers. The centre was still, but the outer rim was spinning slowly and it had white lights flashing, like a camera flash,” he recalled.
“There were about 30 of us staring at it. We could hear it humming.
“It had what looked like windows but the glass was concave and moulded together so you couldn’t see in. A couple of us went forward to try and touch it and it began to spin faster.
“Then it lifted slowly off the ground and hovered above our heads, tilting slightly.”
The craft moved slowly until it was over Bedonwell Primary School, where it stayed for about a minute, then shot up into the sky and disappeared.
Mr Maynard, whose 16-year-old brother also saw the craft said: “It was black, sleek and streamlined with a surface like polished metal. It was very fine and beautiful. It certainly wasn’t a prank.”
He went on: “I have never forgotten it but I don’t talk about it because people would think you were barmy.
“We used to talk about it among ourselves but our mums kept telling us we hadn’t seen anything.”
As well as his brother, Mr Maynard listed several other pals who were also there: “Ron Deadman, Tony Savin, Vic Clarke, Tommy Staggs, we were all there.”
Ken Fairman knows just how he feels.
Mr Fairman, from Bexleyheath, says he saw a very similar craft with his pal Roy Beadle three years before, in 1952.
They were out walking Ray’s dog at an old farmstead in Bexleyheath known as The Warren (now the Warren Road area).
“It was late afternoon. We had just come home from Bexleyheath School and we had Ray’s young border collie with us. We saw it come down and hover about 18ft above the ground. There was no noise at all. We threw ourselves down on the ground and watched it. The dog which was young and usually lively, lay down between us. We lost all track of time.
“It was about 20 or 30ft wide, with terrifically bright white lights underneath. It looked very similar to the drawing in your September 4 issue. Then it shot off and disappeared from view before you could click your fingers.
“I could still take you to the exact spot. I don’t know how long we watched for but I got told off for being late home for tea. I told my parents but they thought I was crackers.”
Margaret Fry was also a witness to this UFO encounter.
Margaret, who lived in Hythe Avenue, was making her way to her doctor’s surgery.
She and the doctor, Dr Thukarta, both saw what she described as an “enormous craft” hovering over the doctor’s car.
She described the craft as saucer-shaped with a “blue/silver/grey/pewter texture, yet, none of those colours.”
Mrs Fry said it also had what looked like three spheres inset into its base, one of which “flopped out”, landing on the ground at the junction of nearby Ashbourne and Whitfield Road.
A group of twelve children who were playing nearby saw it and went over to have a closer look, before it rose up from the ground and into the sky, disappearing from sight after a few minutes.
Dr Thukarta died in 1965, but Mr. Hanson has spoken at length to Mrs Fry, who now lives in North Wales, about her experience.

“That is of course the absolute limit of optical performance, and is only rarely attained. Interestingly, the process you have, of using a high-quality imaging system, with fast read-out, and then selecting the rare `perfect’ images is something which has been developed and applied somewhat by one of my colleagues here.”
“The MIT Lincoln Laboratory (located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is a United States Department of Defense federally funded research and development center chartered to apply advanced technology to problems of national security) is the group which has built some of the things you are seeing. Much of what they do is what used to be the Star wars project, which no doubt involves some of your objects. They don’t talk about the military satellites, of course, but there are many discussions of earth surveillance, and related issues. It is distributed only to academic organizations.”

Using photographs released by Nasa, YouTube channel ‘UFOvni2012’ has put together a video pointing oᴜt a dагk shape Mars.
The shape, which looks remarkably similar to a rock, could be a сгаѕһed spacecraft created by an аɩіeп civilisation, he claims.

The YouTube description of the video says it is the Medusa Fossae formation on the planet, a ‘large geological unit of ᴜпсeгtаіп origin’.
The Medusa Fossae formation is an extensive unit of enigmatic origin found near the boundary between the Tharsis and Elysium centres of volcanic activity, according to the European Space Agency.
In the video, two lines are dгаwп over the photograph to highlight parts of the UFO.
It shows a detailed drawing of what the UFO could look like, if it was a ѕрасeѕһір.

Curiosity’s mission to Mars began years ago, but the rover has continued to study the Red Planet well past its initial two-year mission timeline, to establish the historic habitability of Mars for life. It is now working in collaboration with the new Perseverance Mars rover, which landed in February 2021 and has been tasked with collecting rock and soil samples for a possible return to Earth.

Zoom in on the image and see for yourself. It usually takes me a few hours to properly scan one image for insects. Below are some of my newer findings on Mars. KENS NOTE: Make sure you view these insects on a large screen desktop. Remember that rocks do not have legs, eyes, hair, tails, fur and antennas. They also camouflage themselves with the areas background.Most of these insects vary in length from 4 inches to 24 inches. All NASA has to do is look at their images from the Rover and helicopter. Many times, NASA blurs out portions of a hi-definition image or they copy and paste duplicates over the object they want to hide. NASA is lying to us again and it’s a wonder why the news media has not reported this to the world. It’s funny how the truth never comes from the news media.
For all of you conspiracy theorist, there is talk about Devon Island, in Canada, as being the place where most of these photos were taken. There are an increasing number of people who believe that NASA’s rovers never left the Earth in the first place, and the pictures they are allegedly sending back from Mars are taken in remote areas of our planet. “Evidence suggests that the pictures that we see on NASA’s website are not even taken by the Curiosity and Opportunity rovers. “It is very possible that by now, both rovers are stored in a hangar, somewhere at NASA’s headquarters.”
I was walking along the road at Shaldon when suddenly, my gaze was drawn to a particular spot where the dense canopy of trees parted slightly, revealing a curious break in the foliage. It was at that moment that I noticed something unusual — a glimmer that seemed out of place amidst the timeless serenity of the landscape. Intrigued by this sight, I instinctively reached for my Nikon P900 camera and swiftly zoomed in on that specific area, eager to capture the mystery that was unfolding before me. With each click of the shutter, I took several photographs, each frame revealing a little more about the peculiar anomaly that had caught my attention. Upon returning home and reviewing the images, I was both astonished and captivated by what I discovered.
There, frozen in time within my photographs, was a stunning copper-colored sphere hovering in the trees, appearing to ascend into the branches before darting out of the frame, leaving me to ponder what it might have been. At the moment I focused my attention in that direction, I had felt a strong intuition that there was something extraordinary lurking nearby — an instinctive pull towards the unknown. Alongside the copper sphere, I noticed a smaller white object flitting amidst the greenery, which I recognized as one of the elusive fairies that are prevalent in this enchanting part of Devon. Having spent much time in the area, especially among the red rocks lining the riverbank,
I was familiar with these ethereal beings, having observed and photographed them many times before. What struck me as particularly fascinating was the seeming interconnectedness between the copper-colored sphere and the fairy entity. It appeared as though they were communicating in some profound and otherworldly manner before my presence disturbed the moment, interrupting their exchange with my curious gaze. In my mind, it raised questions about the nature of their interaction — was it a symbiotic relationship, a shared understanding, or something else entirely? As I reflect on that day, I find myself immersed in the mystery of what I witnessed, honoring the wonder of the natural world and the secrets it holds, waiting patiently to be uncovered by those who look just a little closer. The photographs were taken at precisely 5:39 PM on the 3rd of September 2024, and serve as a tangible record of this extraordinary encounter in Shaldon, Devon, England. All the best John.
One of the first conclusions an impartial observer must make about the subject of UFOs is that rumors and circumstance play far too great a role in what ought to be a more exacting quest for knowledge. It is just such an observation which once led Dr. Carl Sagan to comment dryly that UFOs “are more a matter for religion and superstition than they are for science.”
While this dismissal is perhaps unscientific in its own right, the point is well taken. Attend any gathering of “UFO people” you want, and simply listen. Rumors abound. Perhaps worse, however, is that some of these rumors manage to circulate for years (even decades) without anyone making a reasonable effort to get to the bottom of them.
One of the most persistent of these is a story that President Eisenhower visited Edwards Air Force Base in early 1954, and either viewed the bodies of dead aliens and the wreckage of their craft, or met with live aliens on some sort of diplomatic mission to earth.
The story takes many forms, with the common thread being that Ike mysteriously disappeared one evening while on a vacation to Palm Springs, and that he was spirited to Edwards to view (or meet) aliens. It is said that he returned by dawn and shortly thereafter ordered absolute secrecy about anything having to do with UFOs.
No doubt one of the reasons that this particular rumor has continued to circulate for such a long time is that there are a number of verifiable facts associated with it–some of them rather curious.
For example, President Eisenhower did indeed make a trip to Palm Springs between February 17th and 24th, 1954, and on the evening of Saturday, February 20th, he did disappear! When members of the press learned that the president was not where he should be, rumors ran rampant that he had either died or was seriously ill.
The story even managed to get onto a press wire before being killed moments later. To quell the fuss, White House Press Secretary James Haggerty called an urgent late evening press conference to announce “solemnly” that the president had been enjoying fried chicken earlier that evening, had knocked a cap off a tooth, and had been taken to a local dentist for treatment.
When Ike turned up as scheduled the next morning for an early church service, the matter seemed ended. Although the Palm Springs trip was billed as a “vacation for the president”, the trip appears to have come up rather suddenly.
In addition, it is a matter of record that Ike had returned from a quail shooting vacation in Georgia less than a week before leaving for Palm Springs.
While the incidence of a local dentist being called upon to treat a president of the United States is unusual enough that it should constitute a rather memorable event for those involved, the dentist’s widow, in a June, 1979 interview, was curiously unable to recall any specifics relating to her husband’s alleged involvement in the affair–not even the time of day it had occurred. Yet her memory appeared flawless when asked to relate details of her and her husband’s attendance (by presidential invitation) at a steak fry the following evening, where her husband was introduced as “the dentist who had treated the president”.
This would appear to suggest a cover story, the details of which would have easily been repeated at the time, but quite naturally forgotten 25 years later. Research at the Eisenhower Library has uncovered two other facts inconsistent with the dentist story.
The first is that while the library maintains an extensive index of records relating to the president’s health, there is no record of any dental work having been performed at all during February, 1954. A file on “Dentists” contains nothing concerning any such incident either. Secondly, there is a large file containing copies of all sorts of acknowledgments which were sent by the White House to people who had something to do with the Palm Springs trip.
There are letters, for example, to people who sent flowers, people who met the airplane, people who had offered to play golf, etc. There is even a thank you letter to the minister who presided over the Sunday service Ike attended. Yet there is no record of any acknowledgment having been sent to “the dentist who treated the president.”
If the matter were as routine as Haggerty attempts to make it appear, then the absence of these records seems strangely inconsistent. The rumor of the president’s alleged visit to Edwards is not a new one. UFO contactee fringe writers began making unsupported claims about it less than two months after Ike’s trip.
So did a bizarre fellow from the Hollywood hills named Gerald Light, who, in an April 16, 1954 letter to the head of a Southern California metaphysical organization, actually claimed to have been at Edwards where he saw Ike, the saucers and the aliens. Light’s letter has been controversial for years and copies of it have turned up in all sorts of places, including the National Enquirer.
Investigation into Mr. Light’s background, however, turned up the fact that he was an elderly mystic who believed that psychic “out-of-body-experiences” were a logical extension of the reality of life and should be treated as such. In the final analysis, Light’s alleged visit to Edwards was just such an experience.
And so the story ends. Clearly something unusual occurred involving the president on the evening of February 20, 1954. Whether it was a trip to the dentist, a trip to see flying saucers, or something altogether different and unrelated, no one can say. It’s the stuff rumors are made of.

These light emanations can be beautiful, wondrous, exuberant, serene, heartwarming, poignant, profound, or all of those at once and, in my experience, radiating from a depth of love and knowing that is beyond words to describe…yet which naturally sends activational uplifting vibrations through photographs, as a direct impression and transmission of their presences.
