Object was approximately 5 feet tall and in a vertical position with tentacles extending in all directions like a tree branch.
We observed the object at 3000 ft on a visual approach to 13L at KDAL airport. The military observed a very similar object in 2018 over a base in Iraq, and now that I’ve seen that footage, I can say, as well as my other pilot, that we saw the same or very similar figure. It’s almost impossible to describe the shape, so my best reference now is what I found in a video published by “Ancient Aliens” titled Sensational video of jellyfish UFO. The object had absolutely no aerodynamic features and was holding perfect altitude. We were unable to determine if it was in horizontal motion, but it was definitely stable at 3000 FT as we passed it.
A heat wave from a flying saucer! A Sci-fi movie scenario? well, not really. The following account still stands as one of the best “physical trace” cases in UFO lore. The United States Air Force certainly took it seriously, and so should we.
Scoutmaster, D.S. “Sonny” DesVergers of West Palm Beach, Florida was driving three scouts home on the night in question. He turned off the coastal highway and down an inland blacktop to go where one of the boys lived.
After traveling about ten miles inland he noticed a bright light in the palmetto thickets.
At first he passed by it, but then stopped down the road and turned the car around to go back. He hesitated in doing this, but could not help feeling that the light might have been a fire, perhaps indicating a crashed airplane.
DesVergers stopped the car, and got out to proceed to the scene of the bright lights. The scouts objected, afraid to be alone in the darkness, but the Scoutmaster headed toward the thick brush not far from the road. Nearby were the swamps, full of snakes, alligators, and who knows what other deadly creatures. About 50 yards or so from the road, Des Verges disappeared into the waist-high thicket. As he did, the first thing he noticed was a terrible odor.
Using his machete to clear his way with one hand, his other held his flashlight to show the way through the darkness. He carried a second flashlight on his person. The boys, waiting in the car, could clearly see the beam of their Scoutmaster’s flashlight through the brush.
Knowing he was being tracked by his flashlight, he shined it up into the canopy of some of the trees as he proceeded toward the unknown source of the lights that had caused him to stop on the road.
As he reached an opening in the brush, he paused momentarily to signal back to the waiting boys. As he did, he was suddenly overcome by an intensely humid heat. He glanced up into the clear night sky to get his bearings, but to his surprise, the many stars he had seen only a few moments ago were gone directly above him. Something else was blocking the view.
It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to a large, oval object which was hovering about 30 feet above him. As he slowly moved away from the frightening sight, he shined his flashlight toward the object. He could now make out the concave bottom of a smooth, round craft with a dome on top.
He continued to slowly move back from the object until he heard a sound which froze him in his tracks. The sound he heard was a large metal door closing. He now found himself surrounded by a red mist. He then lost consciousness.
The three boys, Bobby Ruffing, Chuck Stevens, and David Rowan could see their role model surround by what they could best describe as a “big red ball of fire.” Frightened, they left the car, and ran as fast as they could down the road to a house. Finding a farmer, they told him what they had seen. The farmer quickly called the State Police who soon arrived at the scene. Deputy sheriff Mott Partin picked the boys up and drove back to the car.
As they arrived, they saw DesVergers racing from the wooded area. Partin said that DesVergers was more scared than anyone he had ever seen.
The other officers who accompanied Partin ran into the area vacated by the frightened Scoutmaster, finding one of his flashlights still burning. They also noticed that the grass was flattened near the flashlight. The master’s second flashlight would never be found.
Arriving at Police headquarters, the officers noticed that DesVergers’ hands, arms, face, and cap were all burned. Although the officers were doubtful of the red mist account, they believed the rest of the Scoutmaster’s account enough to call the Air Force.
Edward J Ruppelt was heading the Air Force’s Project Bluebook at the time, and was impressed enough to take an investigative group to Florida to question DesVerges. He was accompanied by Second Lietenant Robert M. Olsson, and two captains, Hoey and Davis. Ruppelt would interview DesVergers several times, and remarked that the Scoutmaster remembered details very well, and did not respond in a rehearsed manner.
He felt that DesVergers was telling the truth.
An Air Force surgeon did an examination on DesVergers and determined that his wounds were indicative of mild sunburn. There were singed hairs, burns on his face and arms, and also his nostrils showed signs of being burned by a “flash heat source.” At the scene of the event, Ruppelt could find nothing to invalidate the Scoutmaster’s account.
Although there were no apparent signs of scorched earth or grass, later it was revealed after tests at Dayton, Ohio that the roots of the samples of grass taken at the scene were charred.
Also, DesVergers’ cap showed signs of being damaged by “sparks of some kind.”
The three boys confirmed that the cap had not been burned earlier in the day. After interviewing the three boys, Ruppelt was convinced that they too were being truthful. DesVergers’ story stands today as a documented physical trace account of a UFO encounter.
On April 23, 2007, Ray Bowyer, Captain of Aurigny Air Services flight GR544 to Alderney, the most northern of the English Channel Islands, along with five other passengers and at least two people on the ground, observed two cigar-shaped luminous objects in the distance for approximately 15 minutes.
Captain Bowyer initially thought that the first object was a reflection from greenhouses on the Island of Guernsey, or other natural phenomena. He described the object as yellow in color, cigar-shaped, bright, with a dark band around the center of the shape.
A passenger on the plane confirmed seeing it as well, and then pointed out a second craft or object in position behind the first. BBC Radio Guernsey reported that two people on the island of Sark observed two bright yellow objects in the sky while on a walk at the same time, and asked about the objects when they returned to their hotel.
Jersey Airport Radar Control recorded radar of the objects, which showed two objects over a 55 minute period. Reportedly, they appeared and then disappeared at the same time.
Captain Bowyer spoke at the U.S. National Press Club in 2007. During his talk, he stated, “This encounter lasted for fifteen minutes, and the first object being visible from 55 miles’ distance. On nearing the object, a second identical shape appeared beyond the first. Both objects were of a flattened disc shape with a dark area to (their) right. They were brilliant yellow, with light emanating from within, and I estimated them to be up to possibly a mile across. I found myself astounded but curious, but at 12 miles’ distance, these objects were becoming uncomfortably large, and I was glad to descend and land the aircraft. Many of my passengers saw the objects, as did the pilots of another aircraft, 25 miles further south.” NOTE: The above image is C.G.I.
The Genkai incident centers on a nighttime airspace intrusion over a Japanese nuclear power station. On July 26, 2025, security personnel observed three separate lights assessed as drone-like within the plant grounds/airspace. Kyushu Electric escalated the matter through nuclear security reporting channels and coordinated with security authorities while continuing observation. After the lights were no longer visible, the operator conducted checks across the premises for suspicious objects and confirmed no equipment impact or safety abnormalities, while police investigation and later commentary left the final attribution (drone vs aircraft vs other) publicly unsettled.
Kyushu Electric treated the event as a nuclear material protection/security information case, coordinating with relevant agencies and conducting post-event checks for suspicious objects or damage. The utility reported no impact to plant equipment and no safety abnormalities. The case matters because it is a modern example of unattributed airspace intrusion over a sensitive nuclear facility, raising questions about surveillance, security gaps, and attribution (drones vs aircraft vs unknown). Subsequent commentary suggested possible misidentification, keeping the incident unresolved in the public record.

The 1946 Angelholm UFO incident involves Gösta Carlsson, a 28-year old Swedish railway worker who claimed to see a UFO land in a forest clearing in the Kronoskogen Woods near Angelholm, Sweden, and encountered humanoid alien beings.
On May 18, 1946, Gösta Carlsson, reported seeing a flying saucer with a fin and support legs, along with human-like beings in tight, white flight suits. He claims one of the beings used a device to keep him at a distance. Gosta Carlsson reported that the alien beings provided him with recipes for natural remedies, leading him to found successful companies, and become known as the “Pollen King”. Gosta Carlsson’s story is commemorated by a concrete UFO monument erected in the clearing in 1972, based on his detailed sketches.
Gosta Carlsson later left his job and started the company Cernelle, producing natural medical products from bee pollen. He became a successful businessman and earned the nickname “Pollen King”.
In 1972, Gosta Carlsson had a concrete UFO memorial built at the site of the alleged landing. The monument includes a one-eighth-scale model of the flying saucer and concrete circles marking the reported landing tracks, based on his original sketches.
Although the event occurred in 1946, Carlsson did not publicly discuss it until the 1970s.
USOs or Unidentified Submarine Objects have long been observed in Turkish waters. That is, such crafts are often reported to enter, leave, float or travel under the water of seas, lakes, and rivers of Turkey.
In this respect, the Aegean Sea, the Marmara Sea and the Mediterranean Sea are very active water regions. Below we have some further details of the most interesting USO cases of all Turkish UFO literature. Here it is.
In August of 1990, a strange underwater UFO was seen beneath the waters of the Aegean Sea, which lies between Turkey and Greece. What makes this USO encounter so special is that it includes a colored picture of an alleged Unidentified Submersible Object as physical evidence.
Furthermore, we should add that the eyewitness and the USO are both under the water. Naturally, there are some amazing photographs, motion pictures and video clips of USOs showing that these mysterious objects are diving into, emerging from, sailing or cruising under the water.
However, there was no single picture indicating that the alleged submarine UFO and the photographer were both beneath the sea at some fathoms. As far as we know, this alleged USO photo is therefore the first example of its kind.
This spectacular USO case occurred at 14:00 (2:00 PM), on 15th of August, 1990. Its exact place was at 57 meters deep in the Saros Bay, or nearTurkish inland waters of the Aegean Sea.
One can easily state that Mr. Erol Erkmen is a very reliable and sincere person who has reported this mysterious underwater object. Mr. Erkmen was engaging in a discovery dive for an old sunken ship together with his friend, named as Mr. Kemal, whose surname has been kept as secret, when he suddenly located the alleged USO there.
Mr. Erol Erkmen said that he began to feel very strangely as if they were observed by something. Then he looked ahead and saw a greenish light inside the water.
However, this mysterious object soon disappeared. After a while, Mr. Erkmen again located the green object on his left hand side. Consequently, he thought that the USO might have been maneuvering around them.
He observed it for nearly 3 minutes. Then he decided to take a picture of this strange light using an older underwater Kodak camera. Immediately he snapped a photo.
As soon as Mr. Erkmen took the shot, the object’s light went out. However, they had to come out of the water, since their oxygen was just about to die out.
Mr. Erol Erkmen said that when he studied the negative very carefully, he saw nothing at first.
On the other hand, when he looked up the printed photochrome, he located a mysterious greenish light in the picture. Being curious, he enlarged the photograph 300 times. He was then shocked that there was a disc-shaped object with a greenish light in the alleged photo.
If so, what was it? Was it a conventional submarine or a secret man-made vehicle? Was it a kind of phosphorescent underwater organism? Or, was it an advanced submersible craft of alien beings? Who knows? Every alternative view has its own pros and cons.
NOTE: Clark C. McClelland worked at the Kennedy Space Center as an Aerospace Engineer and Spacecraft Operator at Mission Control. If there ever were a problem with a spacecraft, he was trained to operate it from ground control. During his 30-plus years at NASA, he worked on many manned projects – Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab and the Space Shuttle.
Clark C. McClelland claimed he saw something incredible on a Mission Control monitor at the Kennedy Space Center. For a minute and seven seconds, he watched an 8 to 9-foot alien interacting with two tethered astronauts in the Space Shuttle’s open payload bay.
When Clark talked about what he saw, he lost his job with NASA, his health and retirement benefits and his good reputation. His NASA records were scrubbed and his efforts to find employment were blocked.
Shortly after NASA fired Clark, I was one of a dozen people invited to meet him and hear his story. We met at a small bungalow home in Orlando, Florida where he had sought refuge with a friend when his world was falling apart.
Clark clearly was distressed and sweated profusely as he told us about his dilemma. It was clear to all of us that he was sharing a true and painful story. To make matters worse, he said his heart was still broken from losing his girlfriend, Astronaut Judith Resnik, in the 1986 Challenger disaster where she and six others lost their lives immediately after liftoff.
The date Clark saw the tall ET may never be made public. All sources I could find state that Clark saw the tall ET in 1991. Yet, I heard about it from him two years earlier. I checked my 1989 diary calendar and found that meeting with him was on Sunday, August 12, 1989. I also checked with someone else who was there that day; she remembers the meeting happening in the summer of 1989.
Some believe Clark deliberately gave a later date and didn’t identify the mission to shield the astronauts onboard from press inquiries.

3 dark objects rotating around themselves moving slowly across sky
Was stood outside on a clear evening, when I noticed the dark objects moving from west to east overhead. I thought it was moving in a constant motion and first thought it was an aeroplane, but quickly noticed it seemed to be changing shape, there were no navigation/recognition lights and was not the shape of normal aeroplane, which are very common to see in the sky here. It was then apparent that was 2 or 3 independent objects moving around each other that was causing the object to look like it was changing shape. It was moving at a constant velocity across the sky. I thought it could be a balloon or microlight, but it was much higher that I have witnessed any other microlight/paraglider before. I did see a couple of flashes of light from the two top objects, it could have been a reflection from the sun but I thought to myself , ok im seeing recognition lights/strobes but it was just 2 or 3 flashes then stopped. I then took out my phone and filmed it for 1:23 mins. It is clear to see it is high, but below the high clouds. It was moving much faster than any clouds. The two smaller objects above the main object almost looked like 2 balloons holding up some object. But the movement relative to each other was such that this did not seem possible. I considered possibility of a drone (being a drone pilot myself) but again 3 independent objects moving around in the fashion they did would seem to rule this out, also the height. This was not a small object close to ground, it was very high and therefore relatively large. Much larger than any consumer drones for the height it was at. I have had a PPL license in the past so am quite used to seeing other aircraft in the sky but this did not seem to be the same as anything seen before. It was visible for over 5 mins in total as it passed overhead from horizon until it was lost behind building obstruction.
The objects were witnessed by myself and mum for the full duration of their passing overhead.
While most reports of flying saucers are quickly dismissed by defence chiefs, the previously classified papers show the sighting, which took place near Pitlochry in 1990, was taken extremely seriously.
A former MoD official who investigated the case told Scotland on Sunday that despite strenuous efforts they could find no earthly explanation for the craft.
Witnesses reported seeing a large, diamond-shaped object hanging in the air next to a RAF Harrier above the A9 at Calvine, north of Pitlochry, on August 4, 1990.
The UFO is said to have hovered for about 10 minutes before zooming skywards at high speed and disappearing from view.
The apparent close encounter of the Caledonian kind was photographed by members of the public whose images appear to show a blurry, diamond-shaped craft next to a jet.
Fearing the pictures would spark significant media interest, the MoD decided to bring it to the attention of the Government.
A Whitehall official wrote in a memo: “Such stories are not normally drawn to the attention of ministers. “On this occasion, however, the MoD has been provided with six photographic negatives of an alleged UFO… and has been asked for comments almost certainly for inclusion in a forthcoming story.”
The memo suggested the media should be told that “no definite conclusion had been reached regarding the large diamond-shaped object”.
It has also emerged the MoD went on to commission a series of line drawings of the object the following year.

The photographs have been misplaced, lost, or hidden, and have never surfaced.
The MOD’s UFO Project had also been sent a number of intriguing photos and videos of UFOs, and had the means to have the images enhanced and analysed by various technical specialists.
Some intriguing images had arrived via the Scottish Daily Record in 1990, and a poster-sized photograph had been produced from one of the negatives and pinned to my (?) office wall by one of my predecessors.
The photograph had been taken in daylight and showed a vast, diamond-shaped UFO, metallic silver in colour, apparently hovering low over the Scottish countryside.
The photograph was removed in 1994 by the then head of the division, who had convinced himself that the picture showed a secret prototype aircraft codenamed Aurora – a hypersonic replacement for the SR-71 Blackbird that the US Government denied existed.
A question was asked in Parliament in 1996 about the location of this photograph, and the matter has subsequently been raised in a Freedom of Information Act request. Unfortunately, the photograph had disappeared, and could not be located. NOTE: The above image is real but from another case file.
