As shoppers were coming out of stores and restaurants in Winsted, Connecticut, several onlookers spotted something in the sky.
A glowing, oval-shaped object was clearly seen in the night skies.
Several of the shoppers grabbed their cell phones and began filming the unknown craft which emanated a bluish hue.
Witnesses stated that no sound was heard coming from the object. Some witnesses claimed that the UFO would appear, disappear, and then reappear in a slightly different area of the sky.
Part of this video was hosted on the History Channel; the rest came from individual posters.
The passenger was the first to see it and pointed it out to her husband who was driving. It was described first as looking like a helicopter, but as it got closer it became something much more strange.
He pulled over and captured a single photo using a 50mm lens. The object then started to move away, he swapped to a 135mm telephoto lens and took two more photos of the object.
It was reported the object rotated to project its “tentacles” downward and landed. The witnesses said a bridge with two children on it could be seen behind the landed object, and one of the children began running to the site. That’s when the witnesses took off.
The investigator interviewed the four and found them to be serious people with zero interest in the UFO topic. Film negatives were examined by Roberto Padilla, Special Services Director for Kodak of Mexico and it was determined that a real object was photographed with no evidence of faking or fraud. Hi Ken: I had gone for another day out at Daddyhole Plain to see and photograph the cruise ships that were anchored there. I was looking down at the water photographing a speedboat with my Nikon L26 Pocket camera when an anomalous object flew down diagonally from the sky, passing by one of the cruise ships before it flew down into the water and disappeared. It was moving extremely fast and when it entered the water there was no splash or displacement of the water. At the time I thought did I just see that? Fortunately, I had captured the anomalous object within the photograph by accident, as I was actually aiming down towards the speedboat. I just happened to look up and catch a glimpse of the object at the time, but I was not fast enough to move the camera up and take another photo before it had completely submerged.
I focused my attention on that specific area of water, but I did not see it again. Later on that day, once I got back home, I examined the photograph closely, and on Full analysis of the photograph, I was able to cut out the anomalous object from the photo for a better look. It was a very curious-looking object indeed, this was definitely some type of structured craft that was capable of trans-medium travel, going from air to water without slowing down. This report has been lost on my computer for several years now and I have been searching everywhere for it. I thought that it had been permanently deleted by accident, but I finally found it after all this time on a backup USB drive along with other lost sightings. Hi Ken: I was outside in my back garden, completely absorbed in the act of sky-watching, looking around the sky for anything anomalous. The day was filled with the dynamic shapes of clouds drifting across the vast expanse above me. With the wind rustling the leaves gently and a considerable number of fluffy white clouds sprawling across the sky, I searched intently for anything out of the ordinary among the shifting patterns above. As I focused my gaze on a small patch of vibrant blue peeking through the clouds, something extraordinary happened. In an instant, an object shot up diagonally into the sky, its movement so swift and unexpected that I barely had time to react. Instinctively, I quickly took a photograph with My Nikon P900 Camera and managed to snap a shot of this intriguing phenomenon just before it ventured higher into the clouds which obscured my view of the anomalous object. The object itself was peculiar; it had a darkened area in the center which contrasted starkly against the lighter body surrounding it. As I observed, it became clear that wherever this object originated, it was capable of extraordinary speeds. Before I could prepare for another shot, it vanished swiftly into the thickening clouds. This encounter, though fleeting, left me with a sense of wonder and curiosity about the mysteries that the skies above hold. Hi Ken: I found myself totally immersed in the tranquil beauty of the Teign Estuary, and I was there to embark on a personal quest to observe any anomalies in the sky. My eyes scanned the horizon, searching for something unusual, when suddenly, an extraordinary object captured my attention, soaring effortlessly above the Estuary. Initially, it appeared to be a deep black shape against the cloudy sky, but as I instinctively raised my binoculars to get a closer look, I was taken aback by the true hue of its surface, which was a striking gun-metal gray, adorned with gleaming spots that sparkled as they caught what sunlight there was on this cloudy day. The object was both intriguing and perplexing, lacking any visible signs of conventional propulsion systems. Its sloping sides and sleek form gave it an otherworldly elegance. At that moment, it felt as though time had slowed down; an eerie, almost surreal stillness enveloped the area as if the world around me had momentarily paused. The air became thick with anticipation, and I watched, transfixed, as the enigmatic object glided gracefully through the atmosphere, unburdened by noise or disturbance.
True to the nature of the anomalous objects I had grown accustomed to witnessing, this one emitted no sound whatsoever, enhancing its ethereal presence. Then, as if aware of my scrutiny, the object came to an abrupt halt, hovering silently in the air. In a matter of moments, it vanished beyond the horizon, leaving me in a state of awe and wonderment, my mind racing with a flurry of questions about what I had just witnessed. The photograph I had managed to take now serves as my only tangible piece of evidence from that remarkable moment in time. I find myself reflecting on the significance of this encounter along with all the other sightings I’ve had in this area and the mysteries surrounding them. What was the true nature of the object that glided above the Teign Estuary that day? It was a manifestation of advanced alien technology from somewhere else and was quite extraordinary to witness. This experience has heightened my senses, and it seems as though anomalous sightings in this region of Devon have become more frequent than ever before. I can still vividly recall the date and time: it was precisely 5:11 PM on the 11th of June 2023, at the picturesque Teign Estuary in Devon, England, another strange moment I will never forget and one that leaves me yearning for answers in a world filled with uncertainty and intrigue. Hi Ken: I was outside in the back garden focusing on an area of the sky, and I started to take photographs looking ahead hoping to capture a portal that I had seen previously in that area of the sky many times before, but I could not see anything while looking through the viewfinder of my Sony HX-300 camera. Unbeknown to me a portal had opened up to the right, slowly moved, closed up, and disappeared. I did not see it at the time, but moments later when I looked at the photographs on my camera’s LCD Screen I saw it there moving off to the right.
I immediately focused back on that specific area of the sky, but sadly it had closed up and vanished from view. This portal always seems to be present in this part of the sky and it is very hard to photograph due to the cloudy weather. I have seen it many times before, and when it opens it seems to be in a fixed position but when it closes it moves and fades out and vanishes. Sometimes, however, it turns green, changes into a ball, and then disappears. I have seen this portal fully open and there is always an entity standing there wearing armor of some kind and the facial features show that it is clearly not human, although it is humanoid in nature. These alien entities seem to be on a different level of existence, and these portals could be opened from anywhere at any point in spacetime, from any planet, or even outside of our known universe, which in my opinion is most likely where they are coming from. I have seen and photographed many of these portals and I have personally witnessed alien craft fly out and then later return into these portal openings which then just seemingly close up and vanish from the sky. It really is quite fascinating and needs further study to greater our understanding of these portal openings. There must be some way to find out where they originate. My grandfather dies (died) on …, 2001. It was in Armenia in Yerevan. I was born in Yerevan. My grandfather work(ed) for the government and I always ask(ed) him all the time about his work because I admire(d) him and he would smile and tell me in Armenian, that it was not my business. He was not being mean, he would smile.
Every Sunday he have (had) friends over and he was very busy. I met some of his colleagues in the government, I never pay (paid) much attention to their names, I always remember first names, but my grandfather had many friends in the government. He did some secret work for them and the military.
My grandfather was (a) very good friend of Anastas Mikoyan (Politburo member under Josef Stalin, MH). They met when they were young boys. Mikoyan went to Politburo and my grandfather stay(ed) in Yerevan. Mikoyan would call when he need(ed) something from my grandfather.
When my grandfather die(d), I went (back) to Armenia after he died and I finish school for last year. Up in the top floor was (were) boxes of his stuff. There were many papers and files and some video tapes. I did not take time to read many of the papers but I make sure they were put in boxes for me to look at later.
I was interested in (the) videos because I could use the tapes for something else if they were not important. My grandfather record movies on TV and no one like(d) them but him.
I get (got) some of these tapes. They have movies on them, and then I find (found) one tape that have (has) military info on it in Armenian and I see these UFOs. This is military film of UFOs. There is a piece of paper that list(s) information about them, place and date, but I do not know which film is which. When you view them you can see which ones are which. I then go (went) into (a) store later (back in the Czech Republic) to buy food at (the city of) Dejvicka and I see your magazine 2000 and I see (read) about the UFOs.
Then I find (found) your web site and I see (saw) your photo with (the) Pope and I know (knew) you are the right person to sell this to. I only want (the) money to help my mother, which is my family. My father I do not know, he left us years ago when I was a small boy. I was close to my grandfather and he give (left) me everything according to the attorney in his will. I will go back (to Armenia) and (will) go through his documents and learn more about this. I want to be careful so I do not get found out (caught).
I know my grandfather would not talk about the UFOs seen in Armenia in the early 1980s. I was young and do not remember much, but I remember police coming to talk to grandfather about them so this is why I think he was involved. Why would the police come to him if this was not true. I could hear them talk about it, about (a) large object seen near our mountain, Ararat.
I later ask(ed) grandfather and he said he could not talk about it.
Now I have this video I want to learn more and will when I go back to Armenia and also in (the) army I can (will) ask quiet(ly) and try to find out things.
A UFO sighting took place during the current tropical cyclone season over the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The object was spotted in the sky by a local resident named Juanito Juan.
Juan says he was taking photos of some ominous, oncoming storm clouds when he spotted a metallic, disc-shaped UFO in the sky.
Looking like the prototypical flying saucer, Juan snapped several photos of the object which appear to show some of its movement in the sky.
“This photo was taken today 8/17/22 in the rural area of Tamaulipas by a person who calls himself Juanito Juan, during the afternoon of this day and when he wanted to take some photos of the storm clouds, he noticed this object and took this sequence.
This photo of a UFO over the southern tip of the Andes Mountains in Argentina was taken by Nancy du Tertre around noon on January 12, 2025 during her trip to Argentina and Antarctica.
Nancy is a keen observer with a unique mix of talents. She’s an attorney specializing in securities litigation, a psychic detective who works with law enforcement, a trained remote viewer, a medical intuitive and author of four books. She also hosted her own CBS radio show “Hot Leads Cold Cases” for nearly four years.
“For the next two nights after I took the photo, I was unable to dream for the first time in my life,” she explained. “Normally, I am a lucid dreamer and can control the flow and imagery in my dreams. Plus, the words “Protect our air space” kept repeating over and over and over while I tried to sleep. In retrospect, it seemed like an electronic or military-style transmission to my brain.
“About the third night, I was able to dream again but I didn’t feel particularly in control of my dreams. The imagery and storylines were extremely vivid, colorful and involved public figures in ridiculous and unlikely scenarios. Finally on the fourth or fifth night, normal sleep returned but the content of my dreams was still a bit bizarre.
Dr. Robert M. Jacobs witnessed a UFO circling and then firing four light beams at a missile that was being tested in California. Then he watched as the saucer-shaped craft flew away and the missile tumbled back toward Earth.
At the time, Jacobs was a first lieutenant and photo-optical officer with the U.S. Air Force who was directed to photograph the launch of an Atlas-D intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg AFB. That was in 1964, so it’s not surprising that he was commanded to keep his mouth shut about what he saw. He has since spoken publicly about what happened that day.

It was a clear sunny day, and I had gone to Jetty Marsh, specifically an elevated section affectionately known locally as ‘the basin.’ I was looking towards a group of newly built houses in Kingsteignton. I had already captured multiple anomalies on this day, and I continued to photograph them. It was like the non-human intelligence was putting on an air show for me, allowing me to capture several different types of their craft. I saw a black object shoot by, and as I took a photograph with my Nikon P900 camera, a flying saucer shot up to the left, and before I could turn the camera and zoom in, it had shot up into the atmosphere and disappeared from view. I would say I was astonished, but there was so much activity on this day that I kind of got used to seeing them.
Once I got home, I looked at the photograph, and I had indeed managed to capture the anomalies within the photo. This was an incredible day, and this area is probably the best place to view these anomalous craft from. The activity in this area of Devon is through the roof. And it seems to be attracted to me. Les Durrant (R) has been recording UFOs flying over his home in Mineral Bluff, Georgia for at least three years. Well, maybe they are following him too.
On February 14, 2025, he and his wife drove 75 miles to Cherokee, North Carolina to celebrate Valentine’s Day. When they looked up at the night sky, they saw a UFO that rapidly and continuously changed in size and color.
I was outside sky-watching, and I had seen many aircraft pass over the area. I was scanning the sky, looking through the viewfinder of my Nikon P900 camera, looking toward a contrail that a passenger plane had left behind, when an anomalous craft shot across the sky, and I quickly pushed the shutter button and managed to capture the anomalous craft in a single image before it was gone.
I looked around the sky, but I was unable to see it again. I immediately went inside to look at the photo on my 4k TV and get a better look at this anomalous object. On examination of the photograph, I could see that the object was in focus and was clearly some type of mechanical craft which had motion blur around it, due to its high rate of speed.
It was quite interesting; it looked to be rectangular-shaped in nature, and the sunlight was reflecting off the side of its metallic body. It also seemed to have two black skids on each side of the craft’s underside. I have seen this feature on a similar craft I captured above Kingsteignton. This is very strange.
This anomalous craft matches no conventional known aircraft I know of, and it also made no sound and showed no visible signs of propulsion. This is another very intriguing capture of an alien craft high above the town. I know for a fact that they are non-human, as I have had full intimate contact and have even photographed the alien occupants of these mysterious crafts.
It’s time for the government to stop lying and to come forward with the truth, and tell everyone that we are not alone in the universe and that alien visitation to Earth is a reality and is ongoing and commonplace.Note that the date and time were not set correctly in the camera, and due to this, I don’t remember the exact time of this sighting. My mother before she died on may 30 th, she would tell me of this man that she saw standing at the foot of my crib, when I was a baby, she said she didn’t want to scare me, so she said it was a man in a suit. She eventually told me it really was a bjg headed, big eyed, ALIEN.
That lady that wanted to interview people, that have been affected by these creatures, called me and I told her that I never been taken, but I was. My father freaked out and took me and mother to our family cabin in Green Horn California, but they followed us. My father couldn’t handle it at all. He told my mother that this is never to be discussed, and it didn’t happen, I think he didn’t want people to think we were weird. This explains a lot of things, including missing days, I’ll think its Tuesday and it will be Friday, I will be be arguing with people, and get totally speechless cause I do not remember a thing. This has happens alot when I live alone. This is probably why I don’t like to live alone.
I want to offer a special thanks to Chreyl Holland. She has been a loyal Ufologist who has sent me countless alien craft photos over the years. Now I understand why these alien craft seem to follow her. This is not unusual that many people have a connection to UFO activity and alien creature encounters.
I had gone back to the Teign Estuary to photograph the area to see if I could spot any other unusual crafts within the area, as this place is clearly the major hot spot for this area of Devon. The tide was out, and I walked out into the middle of the estuary where I was taking photographs of the surrounding fields. It wasn’t long before I spotted something unusual. I could see something miles away flying above some fields, and at first I thought it was a military jet. I quickly zoomed in on it with my Nikon P900 camera, only to be shocked by what I saw. I was gobsmacked, it was no fighter jet, it was something very unusual, and I immediately took a photograph capturing a close-up shot of this anomalous craft. It was definitely mechanical in nature. It had a long metallic body, the sides reflecting the sunlight. It had a curved opening at the back of the craft that tapered off into two points, and at the front, there was also a curved opening, but not as wide as the back, which also tapered off into two points. On the underside near the front, there was a single pulsing white light. I was completely perplexed as to what this could be, as I have never seen anything quite like it before. I was zoomed all the way in, and it was very difficult to photograph. I’m very surprised that I managed to capture it at all, as it is very hard to hold the camera steady at such high magnification levels, but somehow I was able to capture it. This is amazing.
I have no idea what it is. The weird thing was that when I took the photo, my camera battery went completely dead afterward, and I had to change the battery, and by the time I did this, the object was gone. This thing was miles away from my location, high above several fields. Could it have affected the battery within my camera, or was it just a strange coincidence that the battery died at that specific moment in time? I was just thankful that I managed to capture an image of this rather peculiar craft. I asked someone I know online who works for the American government if they had any idea what it was, and they said, “Maybe it’s an experimental supersonic drone. I have seen some artists’ renderings of what they are supposed to be, but have never actually seen one.” It’s very interesting that he said that, but if it was, why would they be flying advanced technology over the Teign Estuary in Devon, England? Who knows what this anomalous Craft truly is? It is very strange, and I personally believe that this craft is extra-terrestrial in origin, just like all the other bizarre anomalous objects I have seen and photographed within this area. My first actual sighting I can’t explain away. Nov.29th 7:45pm Oklahoma. I thought at first a very unusual bright star or planet. Watching I realized it was actually moving. Very slowly moving, like 1ft per min or longer. Guess 30,000 ft plus. Watch approximately 4 min. Taking pictures. 5 fixed non blinking large white lights. What i think was along the side of craft. In photos appears to have smaller greenish lights outline the body of craft. But i was only able to se 1 side. Not sure about shape but maybe slightly oval disc. In sky my guess is Approx. 55° n.n/west. Travel west to straight line east. No blinking lights. However, it did throw an angled beam of light from bottom of craft downward twice.
I caught photo on the 2nd time. The beam first was solid like a spot light, but then switch to a broken plasma looking i guess, for lack of a better analogy. I used photo shot first instead of video because camera really can zoom in on faraway objects better than video. It was moving so slow so had plenty of time to get later…Max photo shot was at 36.6x without too much distortion. Anyways phone rang I went inside to answer quick. then went back out maybe 2 min. Lasped, I was going to video. Nothing it was gone lights out. Had plenty of open sky to still see it. Nope gone.
In the early hours of March 23, 1981 Carlos Diaz, a young photographer from Mexico City, drove into the Ajusco National Forest in the “zona vulcanica” south of the capital. A magazine had commissioned him to take pictures of a sunrise in the mountains, and for this he has chosen a well-known vantage point. He parked his car, waited for the sun to dawn. Suddenly he saw an orange light shining up from the slope in front of him. First he thought it was a fire, but then he recognized a yellow-orange dome. It was a UFO! Immediately he grabbed his camera, shot a first photo, when the disc was just facing him. In this moment, the engine of his car went off. Diaz shot his second picture before he jumped out of the car, just to see and photograph how the disc was shooting off with high speed.
When he got the photos back from the lab the same afternoon, Diaz knew that he did not dream. This experience never let him off. As often as possible he returned to the Ajusco National Park. But only two and a half month later, on a rainy day, he saw the orange glow again, this time coming from the top of a hill. He parked his car, climbed up the muddy volcanic rocks, when he eventually saw the object hovering in front of him. Deeply moved by what he saw, he suddenly felt someone touching his shoulder. In the same moment he fainted. When he recovered, the rain had stopped and the object had disappeared. Completely bewildered, he climbed down the hill, back to his car…
In the following month, Diaz started to remember step by step what had happened to him during that “missing time”. More than that, a friendly contact developed between him and the pilots of these mysterious “Ships of Light”. Carlos decided to move into the valley of Tepoztlan, 40 miles south of Mexico City, where these objects were seen since man can remember. He was able to take several more spectacular photos. And he had further encounters which taught him why these beings come to this planet and how worried they are about all life, all living beings on Earth.
Ten years later, the sun was darkened over Mexico. During the eclipse of July 11, 1991 thousands of witnesses saw strange craft in the skies. The prominent TV anchorman Jaime Maussan investigated the sightings, commissioned a scientific analysis of UFO footage. Carlos felt that the moment has come to go public with his experience. He contacted Maussan who was deeply impressed by the quality of his photos. More than that, he tried an experiment. He gave Carlos, who could not afford one, a video camera. He was not disappointed. Only three days later, Carlos presented him the first film. Three more followed within the next five month. They all show the same “Ship of Light” which was also on his photos, in breathtaking maneuvers over the valley of Tepoztlan. One time it came so low that it filled the whole frame of the camera.
CONCLUSION
Thousands of eyewitnesses, radar observations, photos and films which stunned the experts and a contactee with a high degree of personal integrity – the Carlos Diaz experience can indeed be called one of the most important UFO contact cases in the history of the phenomenon. For this reason, the researchers investigated it as careful as possible – and waited seven years, until every aspect was put under scrutiny, before they published it. Never before so many international experts were consulted in the investigation of a UFO contact case. All researchers who met him were impressed by the honesty and sincerity of Carlos Diaz, an impression shared by his neighbours, his family, the mayor of Tepoztlan. Nobody in Tepoztlan ever questioned his experience since every second of the “Tepoztecos” has seen these objects, too.
The case will be one of the most important for the UFO research of the 21st century, because it goes far beyond sightings, contact and evidence. The Carlos Diaz experience indicates a direct connection to the ancient civilization of the Maya, one of the oldest and most mysterious cultures on the American continent. It gives us explanations about the propulsion and navigation of extraterrestrial craft. But in its center stands a message, which concerns all of us, an urgent call to save and protect life on Earth, which is endangered by us, to inherit our children a living planet. When we eventually learn to love and respect life, Diaz is convinced, a contact “with them” will be inevitable.
At around 2:30 pm on 26th December 2003 in Huntington, Indiana, an off-duty police officer with the Huntington Police Department had just turned the key in the ignition of his car. He was warming up the engine against the cold afternoon winter environment of the American Midwest when he noticed something strange in the skies overhead.
The officer would later state how he at first believed the object to be a “parachute that you can steer. (It was) black and curved”. However, he soon noticed there was no pilot attached to it. Then, it began to roll, “a slow roll” before turning upside down and resembling a “giant set of bird wings”. Following more rolls, the object appeared much “oblong and orange”.
The officer would immediately reach for the police radio. He would request that any other available officers attempt to locate the mysterious object also. Within moments, two other Huntington police officers had confirmed the object overhead.
One of the officers to respond would later claim it looked like a “tire in the sky”. The third officer, who was leaving the police station when he heard the call for attempts to locate the mysterious object. He would claim that “it was so big” that he no problem at all locating it. He would further state that it would “glide, (and) rotate the wide way around” before hovering and turning a bright orange color.
All three of the officers would later state their belief that the orange color was more likely a reflection of the afternoon sun as opposed to a physical glow of the craft itself. Furthermore, all three would agree that the object made no noise whatsoever.
A Distinct (And Strange) Lack Of Public Reports!
By the time the object had come to rest and hovered at would ultimately be its lowest point, the first police officer believed it was “going to get hung up on the steeple of the church”.
What he would also remark was extremely strange was the fact that no calls came into the 911 switchboard from the public. The officer would remark that such an incident would have normally “lit up the emergency lines”. However, not one single report came into their station or any others, including the state police. At least, that is, as a caveat of our own, none that are available to the public.
It would appear that the three police officers, the first of which just happened to look up at the “right moment” would prove to be the only witnesses to such a public sighting, at low altitude in the middle of the day, no less. In fact, so strange was the apparent lack of response that all three of the witnesses would stop speaking of the sighting altogether due to feat that “people would think we were crazy”.
The first officer would lose sight of the strange craft after it made its way behind the church steeple. The two remaining officers would keep the object in their sights, each from slightly different locations (although, in reality, only separated by around 40 feet).
After around 30 to 45 seconds, the object disappeared from all of the officer’s view. Despite their initial promise to remain quiet, however, they would soon change their minds and make an official report of the incident several days later. A public account of the incident would appear in the Huntington Herald newspaper shortly after.
Witnesses And Details Of Reports Appear Credible!
It is certainly an interesting sighting. And one that all three of the officers have no doubt was of a machine that wasn’t “anything (they) could relate to”. Another of the officers would state that they were “never really afraid, just in total amazement”.
Whether the three officers were the only witnesses or whether there was a quick suppression of information is perhaps open to debate, although admittedly, unlikely in this instance.
Even the pastor of the church the object hovered over for several moments would claim, when asked for comment this was “the first (they) had heard of it” and that they hadn’t noticed anything unusual at all on the afternoon in question. Furthermore, much like the police department, he had received no reports from parishioners of any unusual aerial activity.
Initial investigations at the time of the reporting of the incident suggested not only credibility on the part of the witnesses, but also in the details they gave. Such things as the movement of the craft, the rolling and tumbling, as well as the bizarrely slow movement for such a large craft. Not to mention the complete lack of any sound whatsoever.
Two local airfields who might have managed to capture the object on their respective radars, Huntington Municipal Airport and Fort Wayne Smith’s Field, would both claim to have no reports or data to show any “out-of-the-ordinary” aerial vehicles for the afternoon of the 26th December.
What is also interesting, despite the three police officers being the only witnesses to this particular sighting, there were several other similar reports around Indiana during the Christmas and New Year period of 2003. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
NOVEMBER 23, 2003 ……. FLIGHT FROM OHIO TO NEW YORK
The witness states: I was flying in today, from Dayton Ohio, to New York, (LGA). We were descending, I would imagine we were somewhere over New Jersey.
There are always many aircraft about in the NY corridor, so it’s not uncommon to see different aircraft streaking by, below or to the side of you.
I was flying in an Embrajer-145, 50 seat jet, operated by US Airways Express, Chautauqua Airlines. It was a very clear day today, (11-23-03)
Approximately 2 PM – We must have been about 15 minutes from landing, because I remember the pilot saying as much. We were scheduled to land at 2:42 PM, but because of a tail wind we were going to come in early, around 2:15 PM or so.
Anyway, it seemed we were slowing down, then speeding up, which is not uncommon as you get into the flow of traffic, well, we were in the slowing down mode, when I looked out the window, (I was in a window seat, left side of the aircraft.) and I saw this red circular object pass to the side of us very quickly, then ascend with a lot of speed.
It was traveling very fast, and what caught my eye was the shape.
It was definitely circular and a bright reddish color. I did a double take and tried to see where it went, but it disappeared from view rapidly. I still do not know what I saw, and thought maybe you or someone on your site could shed some light on it.
It just struck me as very odd, the shape of it, I’ve never seen anything that shape in the air before, and from an airplane, I really got a pretty good look at it, unlike the view one would get from the ground.
It also appeared to move in a very jerky type motion, not the fluid way a normal airplane would travel.
Anyway, maybe others have seen something similar. I don’t know. I have been flying since I was a small child, I am now 36 yrs old, and I’ve never seen anything like that.
My first thought was military, thoughts racing as they do when you live in NYC post 9/11.
Like maybe it was a flair or something that was shot.
The object seemed to be flying on its own, but it had that look initially like maybe it was launched from somewhere. I don’t know, that was just my first impression.
But then after following it with my eyes for the brief time I was able to, it definitely seemed to be moving on its own power. I cannot tell you if we turned away from the object or the object turned away from us, or some combination of the two, as my eyes were just fixed on the object and I really wasn’t paying attention to the exact movements of the airplane I was in, for that short time.
I can tell you that the object did ascend rapidly in that jerky weird type of motion, as it passed us.
Again, the object I saw did not seem to behave like or look like any aircraft that I have ever seen. I am at a loss as to what I saw. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Dr. Davis said that he was driving toward his home on Friday, November 21 between 9 and 10:00 p.m. with his 2 sons, 15 and 18-years old (He recalls the specific date, knowing that one son is in college and would not have been home any day except Friday).
While driving, they all spotted a soundless aerial object over a nearby open field that was described as an oval-shaped, white-colored light source as big as a pea held at arms length which moved ‘like a hummingbird would move.’
The object, seen in the dark and clear night skies, was relatively high when first seen and was “coming down, moving in increments as if an elevator would drop and stay there awhile, then drop and stay there awhile,” Dr. Davis said.
After the first 3 or 4 minutes of visual observation, the object began moving around to different parts of the sky. They got out of car to see if they could identify this object and verified to their satisfaction that the object was not a plane, helicopter or aurora borealis.
“My first inclination was to rationalize what this object could have been,” Dr. Davis said. “rather than jumping to conclusions. After we ruled out the various possible explanations we assumed that this was a UFO.”
“I know for a fact that there was no explanation for this object and I’m just glad I had my two sons with me to see it,” he said.
After observing this object for a few minutes, Dr. Davis and his 2 sons got back in the car and drove on to their home under a certain sense of apprehension.
“I would say that our feeling was more a sense of apprehension than fear,” he said, “I did not know what it was we were looking at and had some concern that it might or could have spotted us.”
After driving the short distance to their house, they went to a second floor bedroom and looked out the window to the northwest where they continued to watch the object. It descended lower toward the ground and seemed to be settling in a nearby field where its color had shifted from a white to an orange. As the object got lower and lower to the ground, it became bigger and its color changed to a reddish light.
He said that the size of the object increased from a pea at arms length to a dime at arm’s length, stressing that its size, from his perspective, was “not quite as drastic as a nickel at arms length.”
“There was like a vacuum of silence while we watched this,” Dr. Davis said, “it was like everything was real quiet, at a standstill and then when it became a red color, everything went crazy.”
Dr. Davis said that animals in the area suddenly erupted in a frenzy. His neighbors dog was barking crazily and his German Shepherd dog tried to break its chain.
From his perspective, the object descended to the ground but was not certain that it touched or made contact with the ground as trees prevented him from seeing this with certainty.
“At that point, after this object got red, it just “shot off” like a dart, some kind of acceleration and it just took off to the west. We just stood there dumbfounded.”
He said the sighting lasted for an estimated 10 to 15 minute duration.
“I was very reluctant to call the police about a UFO sighting,” he said, “at that point, we were not going to report this.”
“Right after that my 2-sons went back outside and heard the screaming. It was a female voice. They got in the car and within minutes had called from their cell phone to say that they had been hearing screaming sounds in the field where this thing came down,” he said.
“Approximately 20-minutes after the UFO sighting the police were at my door, there were about 20 officers and a rescue squad over in the field where I spotted the UFO. They were combing the area and had asked me what I knew about someone screaming.”
“Apparently, others had heard the screaming sounds.”
I asked Dr. Davis if he could explain what was heard and he emphasized that he did not hear the screaming sounds himself, that his 2 sons heard the disturbing commotion, along with other residents in the area that notified law enforcement.
Dr. Davis paused from our conversation to check with one of his sons, asking if he could recount the nature of the screaming sounds. He said it was a desperate, blood curdling scream of a female voice that kept saying: “Help me, oh my God, help me!”
“Apparently several people had heard the screaming, I don’t know how long it lasted,” he said.
When the police arrived at his doorstep knocking on his door (an estimated 15 minutes after the UFO departed), Dr. Davis volunteered information about the UFO sighting.
“I took the officer to the side and explained to him that this is going to sound crazy, but I need to tell you what I saw tonight.”
“I told the police about the UFO after they came to the door, I don’t know if anyone else saw the UFO but the officer taking my report took me seriously. He didn’t write anything down while I talked with him,” Dr. Davis said.
When asked if the police officer indicated that anyone else had also witnessed the UFO, Dr. Davis said that the police officer said he had seen a UFO also, but was uncertain if he was referring to the same object or a separate, unrelated sighting.
Dr. Davis said that aside from reporting this to the police officer who knocked on his door, he had not reported this sighting to any other person and that he was not the source for the report which was submitted to The National UFO Reporting Center. He was puzzled how the report made it to NUFORC and said that neither he, nor his sons, reported the sighting to anyone.
“I’m still trying to figure out who reported this,” Dr. Davis said after our conversation. He went on to say how he got “freaked out” when the cops came to the door asking about the screaming sounds.
He described the area of his residence as isolated and surrounded by fields and woodland. His road is paved. He emphasized that the screaming sounds came from the immediate area where the unidentified object had came to the ground. “The screaming sounds came from the field, and I have no explanation for it.”
Dr. Davis, who teaches psychology for the Ashland, Kentucky Community College branch of the University of Kentucky, also said that he had previously seen a UFO when he was in his Freshman year in college at Morehead State University in 1976. He said the object was similar to what he saw on Friday, November 21, 2003. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
