Strange flying orbs of light appeared in the night sky over Texas on Sunday, sparking concerns of UFOs. Residents across the Lone Star State shared photos and videos on social media of the mysterious illumination. Per a report from KXAN, the lights were spotted moving east between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. CT. One set of such photos captured by Demi Mendiola in Elsa, Texas depict a sphere of light underneath a glowing ring gleaming over a neighborhood.
Mendiola said she was getting out of her car after getting dinner when she noticed the light show. “I looked up and saw the moon to my left and saw the lights to my right and thought to myself ‘that doesn’t look right,'” she said. “I had someone message me from East Texas near Tyler saying they saw the same thing. I found that the most interesting.”
In a clip shared by TikTok user @corpuscristiuaph, the “unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP)” appeared to widen and expand as it flew higher into the sky. “Portal over Texas, CCUAPH group caught an UAP orb opening a portal and flying over head,” read the clip’s caption.
Sgt. Roger Willey and Pc Clifford Waycott witnessed an “unusual bright white light in the sky” while driving along a country road in Devon in October 1967.
They reported that the object was moving slowly, and that it was bright white. Waycott said, “It wasn’t a star. It was bright – it was white. If you look at glass which has got rain on, it was the same sort of inference. It was a splash. It was just too…eerie.”[1].
Willey and Waycott were later visited by an official from the Ministry of Defense. Clifford claims that the Ministry of Defense offered no explanation of the unidentified object, and that he and Waycott had not asked for one. “We’ve just gently been asked to sweep it under the carpet. My first significant sighting I managed to capture on film was on the evening of the 6.1.99, I just happened to open the back door to my garden and looked out noticing the sky was completely overcast, suddenly from directly above the roof of my home an object appeared, it really took me back, the first things I noticed was the very bright red pulsating light that appeared to encompass whole object, and that it was completely silent, I was so shocked, I just stood there in disbelief, trying to take in just what I was looking at, the object was No more than a few hundred feet up, and it appeared to be very erratic in its movement, suddenly I decided to make a quick dash in doors to get my camcorder, when I got back the object was hanging in the sky, just behind the back of my garden, I managed to film several minutes of the object hovering in a erratic swaying motion through the tree branches, before it suddenly just disappeared in an instant.
Of the many accounts of UFO sightings, photographs, and videos, the sensational reports that originated in Gulf Breeze, Florida are some of the most controversial. Gulf Breeze was a small city of approximately 6,000 at the time of the wave of sightings that began in the winter of 1987.
News of UFO photos par excellence spread rapidly and far, becoming a world-wide sensation, and the subject of a plethora of newspaper and magazine articles, television talk shows, and feature programs.
Though many sighted the elusive flying craft and snapped photographs of the glowing lights, the majority of attention was on one Edward Walters, a local building contractor. According to Walters, the sightings began on November 11, 1987. He was working late that night when his attention was drawn to a light coming from his yard
As he went to the window to get a better vantage point, he saw a glowing object partially obscured by a 30 foot tall pine tree in his front yard. Racing outside to get a clearer view of the object, he was taken back by the sight before him. He was staring at an object with the shape of a top.
It had a row of dark squares which were separated with portals between them. The craft seemed to hover just above the road, showing a glowing ring around its bottom. Ed ran into his house, and grabbed his Polaroid camera. He snapped off several photos of the craft before deciding to get even closer. He headed into the road.
As he paused in the street to take more photos of the strange object, it began to hover almost directly over his head. Walters was then hit by a bright bluish beam which shot from the object. He was literally lifted from the ground by its force. It was then that he heard a voice say, “Don’t worry, we will not harm you.” Images began to enter his mind.
Ed stated the images were revealed to him “as if they were turning the pages of a book” The next thing Walters remembered was waking up. The glowing UFO was nowhere to be seen.
Only a few days later, on November 17, Walters took his photographs and story to the local Gulf Breeze Sentinel newspaper. Ed discussed the photographs with the paper’s Editor, and began to relate to him the details of the sighting.
At this time, for obvious reasons, Ed told the newspaper that he was given the photos and story by a Mr. X. Part of this initial account was as follows:
“Bang! Something hit me. All over my body, I tried to lift my arms, I couldn’t move them. They were blue, I was blue, everything was blue. I was in a blue light beam. I was trying to breathe but my chest wouldn’t expand. My feet lifted off the floor, a voice groaned in my head, “We will not harm you.” I screamed, the voice said “Calm down.” I screamed “Put me down!” No control, just a piercing smell, a little scent of ammonia mixed with heavy cinnamon that scorched, then stuck to, the back of my throat. A hum filled my head. Wham! I hit the ground, the blue light was gone. The hum was still in my head but quickly decreased and was gone.”
Walters also gave the newspaper a letter from the Mr. X., but his anonymity would be short-lived. The UFO account would grow like a Texas wild fire, as Ed began to claim more visitations, and produce more and more graphic photographs of unusual flying objects over the vicinity of Gulf Breeze.
Ed’s credibility came under fire, but all who knew him described him as a trustworthy, honest man. His wife Frances was his most loyal and unwavering partner.
On November 20, Ed could hear a hum and voices as if communications were being made between individuals, and he was on the outside hearing part of it. Going outside, his attention was drawn to a small dot of light which was falling from the sky. It pulled up, and began to hover. Ed took a photo of it. This contact hum seemed to indicate to Ed that there was a UFO near him.
Ed received another visit on December 2. Ed was awakened at about 3:30 am by the sound of his dog barking . He proceeded to his French doors and opened the blinds. He was looking at a creature about 4 foot in height with large black eyes.
Ed was overcome with fear and fell down from the shock. He asserts that the alien being stared at him for just a moment, and then began to walk away. He also said that:
“I gave chase. As my feet left the shelter of the back porch I was hit by the blue beam and held immobile while the creature fled into the vacant field at the back of my house. As soon as I could move I retrieived my camera and took a picture of the UFO shooting the blue beam into the field. I believe that it was picking up the creature I had seen.”
In the early morning hours of December 5th, a UFO hovered above the trees near the high school not far from Ed’s house. The UFO descended to hover just above the ground or land. Ed photographed the object and the landing spot. This particular incident would provide valuable support to Ed at a later date. He recalls:
“The UFO moved towards me, I heard the voice say ‘Do not resist… Zehaas.'”
Ed would receive support from the UFO organization MUFON. They heard of Ed’s account, and launched an investigation into the Gulf Breeze Sightings. After an initial look into Ed’s evidence, MUFON was convinced that he was telling the truth, and his photos were genuine. Walter Andrus, state director for the Mutual UFO Network, studied the case for three years. His conclusions were:
“The overwhelming evidence is in. Gulf Breeze is indeed one of the most incredible cases in modern UFO history.” The Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) did not believe the Walters story, and other members of the UFO community at large believed the photographs to be staged.
The National Enquirer was initially interested in the Walters account, but before committing to purchase the photos, it sent them to NASA’s Dr. Robert Nathan for analysis. Nathan was unable to certify them as genuine, and the Enquirer passed on the option.
William Morrow & Co., publisher of Whitley Strieber’s “Communion” and “Transformation” showed a unique interest in the Gulf Breeze mystery. Morrow reportedly advanced Walters $200,000 for a book, originally to be titled “UFOs: Proof Positive.”
When Morrow had the photos analyzed, he received a similar report to the Enquirer, and changed the title to “The Gulf Breeze Sightings: The Most Astounding Multiple Sightings of UFOs in U.S. History,” which was published in March 1990. They did not, however, change the category of the effort, leaving it with a “non-fiction” stamp.
Walters reportedly paid 10% of his advance to Dr. Bruce Maccabee, a Navy physicist and long-time pro-UFO researcher, to write a chapter authenticating the photographs. ABC-TV reportedly paid Walters $400,000 for the miniseries rights. The miniseries was never produced. Walters with special photographic equipment in the hope of ruling out any type of camera trickery was a camera with four lens, which was sealed with wax to eliminate film tampering. Also a stereo Polaroid was provided which would provide investigators with a distance of the object from the camera.
He was also given a video camera. The equipment would soon bring results as Walters brought forth even more dramatic images.

In the early hours of 24 October 1968, unusual activity was reported around Minot AFB and nearby missile facilities. Missile maintenance and security personnel described bright orange-red objects behaving unlike normal aircraft, including hovering and abrupt motion.

James Lumley, a trapper, witnessed a bright object fly through the sky and crash in the forest of Montana. He traced the path of the crash and found an unexpected object with “curious hieroglyphics.”

On the afternoon of June 24, 1947, private pilot Kenneth Arnold was flying his CallAir A-2 near Mount Rainier when he noticed a bright flash to his north. On November 1, 2002, an extraordinary UFO encounter was witnessed by three Turkish airline crews as well as three other crews. Interviews are being conducted by the Turkish Sirius UFO Organization. Based on the testimonies of pilots and crews of the airliners thus far, the UFO fleet was made up of ten to fifteen craft that were first sighted by the Captains and the crews of two airliners just before takeoff. The pilot of the fourth crew Hapag Lloyd reported the UFOs were picked up by their radar, and they had asked air control for confirmation. The fifth crew, Captain Mhsin Atar says he and his crew witnessed the incident at Antalya Airport as he was preparing for departure for Stuttgart. The sixth crew witnessed the incident from the ground, Captain Vedat Gurbuz, cabin supervisor Bilge Yilmazturk and stewardess witnessed the UFOs.
These reports include clear statements of the witnesses on how sure they are about what they have seen and the UFOs were unquestionably not any kind of known aerial phenomenon. In the reports, they state they are certain that the objects were a group of UFOs. Chairman Haktan Akdogan has contacted all the witnesses. The witnesses with thousands of hours of flight experience have expressed that they have never encountered such a thing in their whole life, and they were very impressed by the event, adding that what they have seen was certainly a group of UFOs. mysterious UFO hovering over Iran has been captured on video, sparking theories that the strangely shaped craft was not made by human hands.
The video was taken on Sunday by a witness on the Azadegan Highway in Tehran around 7.30pm local time.
A man identifying himself as Ali Sedaghati shared the sighting on X, describing a large, crescent-shaped craft completely illuminated with multi-colored lights.
The witness said: ‘I really don’t know what it is, but it was near the clouds, had special lights, and was hovering in the space without any sound!’
The object appeared to be a single-wing craft, with a small tail section that curved to a sharp point.
Some have suggested that the silent craft was a drone hovering over the Iranian capital, which is still engaged in a months-long military conflict with the US.
Sedaghati said on X that the object was approximately the size of a large plane, claiming ‘it wasn’t human-made. It was a UFO, I’m sure.’
The witness was only able to record for just over 20 seconds. He added that when he tried to take more video about ten minutes later, the craft had disappeared.

On August 14th, 2025, about 10:15 PM, I was outside of my home in Hayfork, California. The sky was crystal clear — no clouds at all, stars sharp and bright. I was facing north-northeast when I saw it: a huge, disc-shaped object hanging in the sky, maybe 35 to 40 degrees above the horizon.
The shape was unmistakable — a thin, rounded discus, not thick like a football or loaf of bread. From where I stood, it looked about as wide as a dollar bill held at arm’s length — which, in sky terms, is massive. The closest part to me was the midline of the disc, with the top and bottom curving gently away toward the center, giving it a solid 3-D presence.

Adrian was with me and saw it too — he even pointed it out at first — but he didn’t pick up all the detail I was able to see. Still, the fact that we both saw it makes me certain of the timing and direction.

I was cruising at FL360 over the rural area of Guapé, Minas Gerais, Brazil, on the night of August 5th, 2025, at approximately 20:33 local time. Looking toward the northwest horizon, I observed multiple bright orbs far above the aircraft altitude. They displayed irregular movements — lateral shifts, vertical climbs, pulsating light intensity — inconsistent with known satellite or aircraft behavior. No navigation lights or beacon patterns were visible. The sky was clear, and the lights persisted for several minutes. I recorded the event in time-lapse using a smartphone camera. I am a commercial pilot and can confirm it was not a standard traffic or celestial object. Phenomenon was similar to some officially released UAP videos. In the early hours of July 30, 2021, an unusual event unfolded in the skies over the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, Canada. Pilots from two separate flights—a Canadian military aircraft en route from Ontario to Cologne, Germany, and a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight traveling from Boston to Amsterdam—reported witnessing a “bright green flying object” that swiftly ascended into a cloud before vanishing from sight.
The incident was documented in the Canadian government’s aviation incident database, noting that the object did not interfere with the operations of either flight. However, transponder data analyzed by aviation researcher Steffan Watkins revealed that the military aircraft ascended by 1,000 feet (approximately 300 meters) during the sighting, suggesting a possible evasive maneuver or an attempt to observe the phenomenon more closely.
Speculation about the nature of the unidentified flying object (UFO) includes the possibility of it being a meteor, especially considering the timing coincided with the early stages of the Perseid meteor shower. The official report categorized the sighting under a broad label encompassing weather balloons, meteors, rockets, and UFOs, without confirming a specific cause.
This sighting occurred shortly after the U.S. Department of Defense released a report in June 2021 detailing over 140 documented UFO encounters by U.S. Navy pilots. The report acknowledged that most of these unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) likely represent physical objects but found no evidence attributing them to extraterrestrial origins.
Canada has a history of UFO sightings, with several notable incidents:

In recent years, there has been a surge in UFO sightings and increased governmental transparency regarding UAP investigations. In 2022, the U.S. Department of Defense’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) reported opening investigations into 366 reported UAP sightings, with 171 remaining unresolved by the year’s end. This represents a significant increase compared to the 144 alleged UAP encounters reported by the military between 2004 and 2021. Experts suggest that this uptick may be due to a cultural shift within the military, reducing the stigma associated with reporting such encounters.
The July 2021 sighting over the Gulf of Saint Lawrence adds to the growing list of unexplained aerial phenomena observed by credible witnesses, including military and commercial pilots. While some sightings may eventually be attributed to natural atmospheric phenomena, human-made objects, or other explainable sources, many remain unexplained, fueling ongoing interest and investigation into the possibility of advanced technologies or even extraterrestrial origins.

On October 30, 2024, U.S. military MQ-9 Reaper drones operating off the coast of Yemen captured footage of an unidentified aerial object tracking a steady course above the waves. A second Reaper, operating in a coordinated buddy-lasing configuration, engaged the object with an AGM-114 Hellfire missile. The missile struck — yet the object continued flying, apparently undamaged or with only small fragments breaking off of it.
The incident involved active-duty U.S. military drone operators conducting operational surveillance in a declared combat zone. The footage was classified and held until September 9, 2025, when Rep. Eric Burlison released it publicly at a Congressional UAP hearing after receiving it from an anonymous whistleblower. No official authentication has been provided.
This case stands as one of the most operationally significant UAP encounters on record: a known advanced weapons system was actively engaged against an unidentified object, and the object apparently survived. The footage provides rare sensor-captured evidence of a potential UAP resisting kinetic intercept, raising profound questions about the technology involved.
Military-grade sensor footage
The incident was recorded by the electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor suite of an operational MQ-9 Reaper drone, one of the U.S. military’s most advanced ISR platforms. The footage shows a stabilised target track, laser designator telemetry (“LRD LASE DES” visible in the HUD), and an observable missile impact — making this among the highest-quality UAP capture events on public record.
Hellfire missile failed to destroy the object
An AGM-114 Hellfire, designed to defeat armoured vehicles and capable of destroying hardened targets, appeared to strike the object without detonating or disabling it. The object continued on its original trajectory after impact, and what appeared to be fragments or debris tumbled away. No known conventional aerial object — including Houthi UAVs — is documented as capable of surviving a direct Hellfire engagement.
Active combat context and chain of custody
The engagement took place in a designated combat zone during active U.S. naval operations, lending operational credibility to the footage. The video was transmitted to Congress by a military whistleblower, with Rep. Burlison confirming that an independent review was ongoing. Investigative journalist George Knapp additionally testified before Congress that entire server banks of similar footage exist and have been withheld from oversight bodies.
On October 21, 2002, I received an email report of a UFO incident from the witness involved. The sighting reportedly occurred on Sunday, October 20, 2002, near Tyrone, PA in Blair County. The man forwarded details concerning his experience, as well as two color photographs that he took of the object before it departed. The witness indicated that he had also forwarded this material to the National UFO Reporting Center. The witness is very concerned about being ridiculed, and requests not to be identified. Due to his concerns, my only communication with the witness has been via email. He has responded to my request for additional details concerning his observation. The witness was hiking in the woods on Ice Mountain near the town of Tyrone. The man had stayed out longer than he expected that day. He estimated that it was about 7:30 P.M. (local time) as he was walking back to his vehicle, when he noticed a bright light south of his location, moving towards him in a northerly direction. His first impression was that it was an airplane. The light appeared similar to the brightness of a normal aircraft light when first observed. He then noticed that the light suddenly stopped, then began to pulsate and appear to brighten and dim. The witness then noticed a faint haze that was orange-red in color, and which encircled the object. The pulsation pattern of the light began to increase, and it started to flicker very rapidly. The light became might brighter as it pulsated. Suddenly a thin beam of very bright blue-white light was emitted from the bottom of the object to the ground. The witness points out that this was not an ordinary searchlight.
The witness stated, “This was no searchlight. Even a well focused searchlight tends to diffuse with distance, but this light was a tight, bright beam from top to bottom.” The man tried to describe the appearance of the beam with the following statement. “Imagine a piece of dental floss held at arms length, and you’ll have a good idea of the beam’s apparent width from my location.” The witness said that the pulsating effect suddenly stopped, and the beam of light went out. The observer commented, “As far as the form, I couldn’t see any craft or object per se, just the bright light itself and the beam that came down from it, as it was pretty dark at the time.” The object at first appeared to be circular in shape and orange-red in color. When the object stoppedmoving and began pulsating it seemed more oval or egg shaped. The object continued to hover in the sky, and the witness ran to his vehicle which was about 100 yards away, to get his Olympus digital camera. The witness took one photograph as the object hovered, then a second picture was obtained just as the object was beginning to move around slowly in a tight circle.
As the man prepared to take a third picture, the object, “suddenly shot straight up in the air at fantastic speed and was gone from sight.” The sky conditions at the time of observation were described as partly cloudy. The witness did not detect any sound, or odd smells during the sighting. The witness estimates the total incident lasted about 5 minutes or less. The witness commented that at the location where the light beam appeared to meet the ground, he estimated that he was about 1/4 mile away, or farther from the object, and that it was about 1,000 feet in altitude. The witness also mentioned that there is a large microwave relay tower at the top of the mountain, and, “the beam appeared to be hitting the ground close to the tower.” The man couldn’t see the exact spot where the beam hit. In closing, the witness had these comments to make. “I don’t know what this thing was, but I know I’ve never seen anything like it before.” and “If anyone else saw this object, please let me know. The Pentagon released more UFO files and videos as part of the Pentagon’s 3rd UFO release. This includes a wide range of UFO encounters captured by the general public and federal law enforcement special agents.
According to Ryan Graves, a former US Navy F-18 pilot with the VFA-11 Red Rippers out of Virginia, the sightings were a daily occurrence. “These things would be out there all day” stated Graves, who also could not reconcile how the objects seemingly never ran out of fuel. Graves reported in a 60 Minutes interview as having seen the objects “every day for at least a couple of years.” Hundreds, and potentially thousands, of individual UAP objects were seen. The situation became so common–and unsettling–that Graves filed a hazard report with the Naval Safety Center in late 2014, fearing that an F-18 might collide with one of the objects. The day prior, one of the objects was observed to be flying in between the wings of two F-18’s flying in formation a mere 100′ apart.
A January 2015 encounter off the East Coast of the US was caught on cockpit camera and released to the public by Tom DeLonge’s To The Stars Academy in 2019. Commonly referred to as the “Gimbal” video , the clip shows what appears to be a craft operating in an unusual manner, including rotating along multiple axes while flying, as if on a gimbal. The pilots in the recording sound excited and unsure of what they are looking at during the recording.
Another video taken from the area in 2015 shows a Navy pilot successfully getting a radar lock on an unidentified object flying at what appears to be a high rate of speed very close to the water. Known as the “GoFast video” , this clip was also released by To The Stars Academy in 2019. Former Pentagon official Luis Elizondo was instrumental in having the videos declassified; both videos have been acknowledged to be authentic by the Pentagon.

Bright light with blinking lights moved, hovered, then flew over me. Huge, silent, gray craft hovered, then vanished to the west.
Standing in my back yard a bright star like light was in the East sky with one small blinking light on the north side of light object. It moved rapidly laterally to South East and hovered, appearing to be no bigger than my thumb nail in the sky, the bright light went out and four blinking lights remained. Then it flew West over my house and descended at the same time to where I could see it clearly, and hovered over me, I could make out it’s shape clearly. It made a faint low hum, nearly silent. It had a gray foggy like glow around the edges, all I could see was the bottom of the object. The bottom was layered gray sections like hundreds of circuit boards and the middle of the object was a rectangle and was was much larger than the sections at the sides. The sides were shaped like two rectangles left and right like a cross shape, but somewhat rounded at the top of the middle and the bottom. A half moon foggy gray shape came from the top left in a crescent moon shape and one on the opposite side, both shapes were facing inward. I never saw the top or sides of the object. The size was extreamly large, covering my house and my neighbors house and our yards. It was far above the trees in the area, but close enough for me to see the details in the shape. There was no propulsion air/wind below it. The object hovered over my for a minute or so then headed West and made it’s ascent at the same time, then took off rapidly, disappearing into the west.
