An important UFO close encounter of the second kind comes to us from Canada. This amazing account details the experiences of Stephen Michalak of Winnipeg. Michalak earned his living as a mechanic, but was an amateur geologist, and while enjoying a few days off, he decided to do some prospecting. He tried his luck in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. This area was by no means new to Michalak. He had spent considerable time in the vicinity of the lake there.

Michalak had followed reports of quartz veins being found in the area around Falcon Lake. There were also reports of silver being found, and Michalak was on the trail of the valuable metal on May 19, 1967. He had traveled by bus from his hometown of Winnipeg to a motel on the Trans-Canada Highway the night before.

Stephen rose early that morning, heading into the vast beauty of the wilderness. Only a couple of hours had transpired before he found a quartz vein by a small brook. After breaking for a quiet lunch, he resumed his work. At about 12:15 P.M. his attention was drawn away from his labors by the sound of geese passing overhead.

Looking up to see them fly over, he was shocked to see two red, glowing, elongated objects descending from the skies. As they came ever closer, their shape was defined more as disc shaped. As he stood mesmerized by the sight, one of the craft abruptly stopped and hovered in midair.

The other continued its downward flight until it landed on a big, smooth rock only about 150 feet from him. The hovering craft began to move away, and as it went, it changed colors from red to orange, and finally gray.

It disappeared into the clouds above him. The landed craft also began to change its color in the same pattern. Finally, the gray turned into what appeared to be “hot stainless steel,” with a golden glow.

Michalak had been wearing his protective welding glasses earlier, and now they protected his eyes from the brilliant purple lights shining through openings in the front of the craft. He could now smell something like sulfur and hear a type of hissing sound. Curiosity overcame him.

He knew he was looking at something he thought he would never see, a craft from another world.

The only emotion more powerful than his curiosity was the gripping fear that held him in his tracks. He did have the presence of mind to sketch the object, never moving a step.

Steve Michalak in HospitalAfter approximately 30 minutes, he was frightened to see a door open from the side of the object. He could now see inside the craft! The interior was brilliantly lighted.

Pulling all the courage together that he possessed, he moved ever closer to the other worldly craft.

As he reached a point about 60 feet from the mysterious flying machine, he could hear two voices conversing above other sounds coming from inside the object.

Being a multi-linguist, he tried several languages to communicate with whoever… or whatever was inside. All of his efforts failed to draw a response from inside.

Undaunted, he moved even closer. He reached the door and stuck his head inside. He saw a large panel of different colored lights, and other light beams crossing in different directions.

Michalak would later describe the flashing lights as resembling lights on a computer.

He saw no one in the craft and decided not to push his luck any farther. He moved back away from the door. Suddenly, three panels moved together, hiding the door. His attention was now on the exterior of the craft.

He later described the surface as “highly polished colored glass with no breaks or seams in its surface.”

He reached out his hand to touch the polished surface, and his glove was melted. Suddenly the object suddenly moved, and as it did, a vented opening was exposed, like a type of exhaust port. He estimated it’s size as about nine inches high by six inches wide.

Heat was vented through the opening, setting Michalak’s shirt and undershirt on fire. He was now in great pain. He quickly tore off his top garments and turned to see the craft ascending back into the skies. He felt a rush of air as it made its departure. He could still smell the craft after it had disappeared.

Knowing that he needed medical attention, he quickly tried to mark the spot. Using rocks, pinecones, loose dirt, anything he could find, he made a landmark. A severe headache now was complicated by a sick stomach. He broke into a cold sweat and vomited.

On his way back to his motel, he had to stop several times to ease his stomach pain. After being refused help from a passing police officer, he finally reached his motel. It was now 4:00 P.M. He entered the coffee shop and asked someone to recommend a doctor.

The nearest doctor was in Kenora, 45 miles east of Falcon Lake. Because of the distance, he decided to return home instead of making the trip to Kenora. The next bus would not arrive for about four hours, so he rested in his room, and phoned his wife.

He told her only that he was in an accident but was OK. He instructed her to have their son meet him at the bus terminal in Winnipeg. He arrived there at 10:45 P.M. His son took him to the Misericordia Hospital immediately.

He was treated for his headache, nausea, and the grid-like burns on his chest. Theorists came out of the woodwork suggesting that his burns were from a barbecue pit, or some other common object.

Stephen Michalak made not a cent from his story. He paid all of his own medical expenses, including a trip to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for additional treatment.

To defray these costs, he wrote a privately funded booklet on his experience, but it lost money. Ultimately, Michalak was seen by more than a dozen doctors in the United States and Canada.

The site of the experience was investigated by the RCMP, RCAF, other government officials and civilian groups. America’s Condon Committee also joined the investigation.

Nothing conclusive was every offered to debunk the fantastic account of Stephen Michalak. His story is unique in many ways and is accepted as genuine by many UFO groups and investigators. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

The entire Ontario region, particularly its water networks, have long been and remain an intense area of UFO activity. And not just near or around the water, but sometimes on it too.

Just short of four years later, for example, on the 18th June 1967, on the waters of Lake Ontario in the north of the province, “Mr. and Mrs. G” were out on the waters in their private boat. It was late in the evening as despite the season, the moon was full, bright, and visible.

As they began back to the cabin, they witnessed a glowing object hovering around 50 feet above the trees on the bank. The couple would slow the boat down. They then turned slightly to get a clear look at this bizarre craft.

As they did, though, the anomalous object began to speed up considerably. Of more concern to the couple, it was heading straight for them. After taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Mr. G put the boat into motion. As fast as it could go he headed straight for the water’s edge.

When they arrived, both of them jumped from the boat as if it were about to explode. They hit dry land and looked back. The object was now back above the trees. Hovering once more, as if it had never moved.

After several moments the couple would take back to the water. They would head to their friend’s house where they were spending the evening. Within moments of the vessel cutting through the rushing waters, the object descended towards them again. The couple would again put the boat at its highest speed. They would again beat the object to land and simply leave it on shore before running to the destination.

Upon arriving with their friends, it was perfectly obvious to them that each of the G’s were “frightened to death”. Something very much unlike their normal character. If there was any doubt of their claims, however, that was removed when the G’s friends viewed the object also. Hovering above the trees for around 10-15 minutes before disappearing into the distance.

Perhaps of even more intrigue in relation to the Mattagami River Incident and the encounter above, is that of the previously mentioned, Brian Vike, who was responsible for bringing the former case to the wider public. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

It was around 10 am on the morning of 23rd November 1963 when the main witness and his usual school walking buddy and friend, Robert, arrived back at Robert’s house. They had been to school that morning as they would every morning.

However, even though it was a Friday, the school had made the decision to remain closed for the day in honor of the assassinated US president the previous afternoon. An assassination that shocked citizens of the world as much as it upset many Americans across their country.

For the young boys, however, the occasion was a surprise day off where they could do as they wished. So, under the bright sunshine but still wintery crisp cold conditions, they made their way to the temporary community of construction workers near the Mattagami River, around 80 miles out of the James Bay region who were working on the hydroelectric power dams in the northern Ontario area.

Indeed, the community was cut off from the outside world by road – all goods and people arrived and left by train. However, an internal road network between the dam sites was regularly used by the community themselves.

Once there, the boys took up residence on the back step of the property. Robert was practicing his guitar while the other witness gazed into the distance towards one of these internal roads – Smokey Falls Road.

On both sides of the road were trees, as well as several ditches and dirt lanes. He would estimate they were around 70 feet away from the start of the road. Then, despite “never hearing or noticing it arrive”, he could see the glittering object just above the trees.

Sat In Silence “Watching It, As It Watched Us!”

The witness would later recall how the craft was “just sitting there” around 30 feet from the ground, and about ten feet higher than the trees themselves. Without taking his eyes off the hovering object he nudged Robert, who was still strumming away on his guitar. He stopped when he saw what his friend was pointing to. Each of them sat “in silence watching it, as it was watching us!”

They would later estimate it was just short of 100 feet across and very much “saucer-shaped”. Although it did catch the sun on occasion, it appeared to be made from a “dull aluminum” material. Around the middle section of the craft, appearing to go right the way around it, were evenly spaced, black windows.

Then, the craft suddenly tilted forward with the “closest side down and the rear of the saucer up”. The boys had the distinct impression that the reason for this sudden tilt was to allow whoever was inside to “get a better look” at them.

After several moments, the craft would settle back down to its motionless, hovering position, as if sitting on an invisible base. Then, it began to slowly move to the west of the boy’s location. After several seconds, it had disappeared behind the trees.

In total, from first noticing the craft to it vanishing from their sight, the witnesses would estimate it was visible for no more than a minute. Each, however, would also state how it appeared much longer than that. Whether that was merely how the human mind perceives situations, or whether there was some kind of employment of a time-distorting technology is perhaps open to debate.

“Attacked” By A Low Flying Saucer!

Several nights later, the main witness’s father received a phone call from one of the construction sites he was overseeing which, incidentally, would continue 24 hours a day, seven days a week, featuring a constantly revolving workforce working in shifts.

On this occasion, there was a problem at the site as three of the electricians, whose presence was paramount in order to maintain the electrical light generators providing the workforce with light, had suddenly quit and refused to return to the location. Perhaps of more interest to the two boys, though, was the reason the three terrified electrical workers had given. According to them, they had “been attacked by a low-flying saucer”.

One of the workers would even claim to have thrown his hammer at its underside. And of even hearing a thud as it made contact.

After requesting another unit of electricians to transfer to his location, the witness’s father would drive the original electricians back to the camp. However, it was a journey that took longer than usual due to the several stops he made to allow one of them to get out of the car to be sick. In fact, none of the three electricians looked well at all.

The following morning, the worker who had been sick several times on the way back to the camp would seek medical attention such was the worsening of his condition. They at first believed he had suffered some kind of intense sunburn as they applied lotion to his blistered skin. Upon discovering the burns occurred while his clothes were on, at night, no less, it was the cause of much perplexion.

Whether the electrician mentioned his experience to the doctor is uncertain. However, the burns seem understandable given the close proximity to the craft. NOTE: The above image is CGI.

I tried to take a picture of the tripod night long exposure to the mountains . I took about 3 frames in which during exposure , talk to my brother in law who with a less powerful machine , was trying to capture the moon satisfying. After every shot I took of the mountains which I got checked and in one of them I noticed a little light trail which I considered then that is probably a reflex picture star and considering the likely ” shaken ” by mistake I have made at least one picture hoping to catch pictures as clear . I remember talking to my brother about the fact that I still marvel that I got a light stand that the eye does not see out over the mountains but I did not give more attention to things. But remember that moonlight (which is still up from the horizon ) increases so that the stars who routinely see less become quite visible. In a very short time I heard a noise like airplane approaching. Because it sounded pretty cool , compared to how often you hear that passing over the area where I live , I looked up the eyes to locate the source of that sound. Then I noticed that the lights can not be seen normally can see the planes that cross the line at high altitude in different directions home area .

With camera on a tripod at the hand off quickly and tried to get some shots of those lights but because they use a zoom lens but quite inappropriate for poorly lit shots of objects , we had some delay in setting a trap those lights . Photo surprised me more questions arise because putting lights caused by natural hand movement at maximum zoom but lights and giving absolutely no ” move” at the same time . And the lights ” moved ” seem to be as others that are ” motionless ” . I can say by the sound it was at least an aircraft involved in this experience but after the number of white lights and after I heard sunelelor strength and thus inclined to think that it was probably two planes . And do not think that was the line that seemed to be much lower than that , as I said , often overflying the area at great heights in their various routes. But apart from those specific sounds flights can not say yet clear whether anything could be heard as it was in those seconds my attention toward capturing images as fast as possible up to remove. But I certainly remember that I noticed more lights than usual , not all pulsing . The red seemed higher than white , nor pulse and when we first saw it seemed to be a short distance from the white ones ( they were a little ahead of them) when I managed to catch the bright object that had already been vertically above the place where I was so I got a bit of oarecumva behind. When I downloaded the pictures on the computer and I studied and I noticed that the picture of the mountain landscape is not one shaken and surprised me more than the fact that a simplistic picture processing the purposes of an excess of light , we see that present thin clouds over the mountains were illuminated in the light of that release . That trail of light was positioned between the mountains and the clouds quite Josi . More, it could be a star compared to the mountains and could not move apparently so much during the time in which I took part . More on that experience I do not know what to say but I would enjoy it if you give a logical explanation as those with whom I advised failed to explain the picture in satisfactory manner . Attached photos are original ( big ones ) and the lowest are in the higher slots we applied strictly a surplus of light ( uniform across the image) to see more clearly what is there.

I was testing a 500mm lens to photograph the moon in daylight when I noticed an object flying past the moon. It had a red flashing light, so I thought it might be a UAV. I detached my camera (Nikon D800) from the tripod and tried to follow and photograph the object in the sky. It was high in the sky so I could not see well what it looked like and I thought I’d zoom later on the photos to see what it was. Overall, it was flying a straight path, but it sometimes stopped moving and then resumed moving. It’s when I looked at the pictures that I found out it did not look like a drone at all and the shape of the object was strange. It flew roughly from south/southeast to north/northwest. When it was too far away for me to photograph it, I gave up and as I noticed an actual plane in the sky.  The fact that the UFO was flying downwind makes me thing it might be a helium balloon. However, the shape is weird and it does not explain the red light flashing at regular intervals that first got my attention on the object.
