A new and highly compelling piece of footage, purported to show an Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP), has recently surfaced online, captivating the attention of researchers, military analysts, and the public alike. What makes this particular video exceptionally intriguing is its alleged origin: the Ukrainian military.
The visual evidence reportedly depicts a distinct, enigmatic ‘star-shaped’ UFO, meticulously filmed by Ukrainian armed forces personnel in May 2025, observed at an estimated altitude of roughly 800 meters above the terrain.
The video, which quickly garnered significant traction across various platforms, was officially published and endorsed by Serhii Beskrestnov, a prominent advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense. Beskrestnov not only disseminated the footage but also corroborated its key details, confirming that the visuals were indeed provided by military personnel and captured in May 2025 at the aforementioned elevation of 800 meters.
This recent publication by Beskrestnov is not his first foray into highlighting UAP observations from the front lines. In a preceding communication, he recounted an earlier instance from 2023: “In 2023, I published a video from the front line in which aerial reconnaissance was observing an unidentified flying object.
An hour later, I received a message… from representatives of a government agency that has been dealing with these issues in Ukraine since Soviet times,” he stated. This earlier incident underscores a long-standing, albeit previously understated, engagement with UAP phenomena within Ukraine, dating back decades.
Crucially, the Defense Ministry advisor indicates a significant strategic shift in how Ukraine approaches these phenomena. The study and investigation of unidentified aerial phenomena within Ukrainian airspace have transitioned dramatically from a predominantly civilian endeavor to a paramount military undertaking since the commencement of hostilities.
Recognizing the potential national security implications, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have consequently developed a “special comprehensive document” addressing this complex subject. This crucial framework, designed to standardize observation, reporting, and analysis protocols, has received formal approval from the Commander-in-Chief himself, signifying the highest level of military endorsement and commitment to understanding these occurrences.
Beskrestnov’s concluding remarks encapsulate the gravity of the situation and its broader geopolitical context: “Therefore, it is evident that such challenges are not exclusive to the United States, as what is currently categorized as an Unidentified Flying Object could potentially represent a novel weapon deployed by an adversary.”
This statement highlights a critical concern for Ukraine — the possibility that these unexplained aerial objects stationed within its airspace might not merely be anomalous curiosities but advanced, potentially hostile, technologies requiring immediate and thorough military investigation, thereby elevating UAP study to an imperative national security priority in the midst of ongoing conflict.
