JANUARY 12, 2023…….FLIGHT OVER MISSOURI
At about 7:15 PM, I observed a red light out the left side of the airplane approx., 41,000 feet. It was on a parallel course. It was odd because, if it is an airplane, it should have a green light on it’s right side, so I watched it for a few minutes and then it rapidly approached us. It made 2 slight course adjustments and then passed directly over top of the 737, very close, 50 feet at most. It was a black triangle, larger than the 737. It had red lights on 3 corners sometimes one of the red lights would flash 3 times. Its shape was a large triangle. The edges were very similar to the leading edge of an aircraft wing, and perhaps 20 to 50 feet in height. Our pilots did not see it as it passed over the midsection of the plane. I was on a flight from Cuba to Calgary and it was 2 hours into our 6:15 PM (departure) flight, so I think we would have been over Missouri. We were cruising at 500 MPH. The object matched our speed from about a mile away and then in about 3 seconds, closed the gap and passed directly over top of the 737. I had a clear view of it’s shiny black surface and red corner lights. It is possible it was an unknown stealth aircraft. I have been involved in aviation for over 30 years, no known aircraft could fly like this, and a pilot would really have to be stupid to come so close distance of a 737 at 41.000 ft.
