“Just sending you a note because I also had a sighting near Route 70 on July 10, 1998.” The craft was nearly round without wings, exhaust, or sound. It moved slow and low at only 500 to 1000 feet high as it passed over me. Half of it was black and the other half was emitting bright light. It tumbled very slowly as it moved. It caused me some medical problems immediately afterwards. The skin of the palms of my hands peeled and I had a spot on my chest that looked like a melanoma. I went to a dermatologist for that and it turned out to be non malignant. I also developed a lump that almost required surgery but it went away quickly with anti biotics. The peeling was within a few days of the sighting. My palms never peeled before. I think I was gripping the pole of a street sign to steady myself as I watched. The sky was clear and it was day light. This ship was a very highly visible solid object. Months earlier, my neighbor and I saw a high altitude, strobing light streak across the sky extremely fast. Stationary hovering stereotypical flying saucer shape with exterior lights. This was in the sky and could not be mistaken for anything else. I was young when I witnessed this. Approximately 12 years old. And at 63 years old I still stand by what I saw that evening from my front porch at our home across the street. I have tried to convince myself I did not see it. Because I have said how could no one else have seen this. Even in the sky at the distance it was, it was big enough to see it Crystal clear rotating in the sky. Maybe others did see it this was in the 1970s early 1970s. There were no cell phones, no computers, no iPads. I am speaking about it now because I am not getting any younger and maybe there were other sightings in New Jersey during that period of time that can connect to this.
I tried to get the attention of others in the house and I am not certain what happened as far as it leaving or me just stop watching it. That is where it becomes vague. On a different topic, I have spoken to my cousin and she also saw what we call a flying saucer bigger than life outside of her home around that same time, in Ulster Park New York. She is retired now but worked in a hospital in Kingston New York her entire adult life until this day, no matter what anyone says she just matter of fact says she sought outside of a window from her home. We both stand by our sightings but I am only reporting mine now again I was young but I know what I saw and it was so clear in the sky it wasn’t a long distance away. I just do not remember why I stopped watching it. But it was there, and I would go under hypnosis to prove it if I had to. In some ways I would like to because maybe it would even be clearer.
I was young when I saw this as I said but I am also United States Army veteran. And I was overseas during some of the observations I have heard about such as the one at the Air Force Base in England, the one that took place in a forest that I have heard and seen documentaries about. I was a soldier stationed in West Germany at the time of that. I have no proof of my sighting and again I have tried to convince myself for over 50 years that it was a dream or something but it wasn’t. If it’s not believed I fully understand and accept that. As I was young but I was 12 years old and I know what I saw. It was the stereotypical flying saucer. It was hovering in the sky and the lights seem to be going around circular. I do not remember having any fear. I do remember there was a lot of activity in our home and I remember coming in the house and trying to get the attention of some of my family but they were involved in conversations and I let it go. I have no recollection of it leaving or when I stopped watching it Again I’m only reporting it now because after 50 years and exhausting every possible thing that I can think of to try to say it wasn’t real I still believe what I saw was there and it may happen to coincide with other reports touring that time.. On 8th of March 1994 I was young and in school. I remember quite vividly it was a school night. My father called us outside in a curious manner. Myself, my parents and my sister all observed a saucer (spherical) object with extremely bright lights. The object appeared to be above the tree line. It was next to our house and the lights clearly illuminated the ground below. We all very curiously stared and nobody knew what it was, none of us believed in or suggested a UFO. After watching a while I was able to observe a metallic surface. There was absolutely no wind, thrust, signs of propulsion or disturbances. Furthermore no sound could be observed from the object at all. We never discussed this much among the family and we all just seemed shocked. I was young but the exact date I am certain not because of media I seen but because I kept a written journal as a child.
I recently was digging around for me Gameboy (it is a classic) and I happened upon my journal. On the 9th of March I very briefly wrote about what had happened “last night”. As a science and technology person I am not big on the UFO theories. I am certain of what I saw that night in New Jersey. The exact time I cannot really say but it was well after Sunset and before our 10 PM bed time. Thus, I can say it was between 7-10PM and I believe it was closer to 9PM. The craft we saw hovered for an extended period. The lights also hovered. It was not possible to see the exact body of the craft or any windows. Regardless, no existing or experimental technology which could be reasonably suggested is capable of hovering without propulsion or sound. On a personal note, my bedroom windows was next to the area we saw the craft.
I was terrified for years afterwards at night, I always thought I would be abducted. It’s a silly thought but as a young scientific mind despite being so skeptical of UFOs, this sighting was so reasonable that I was terrified. After finding my journal I remembered hearing about other sightings. I googled the date and found a ton of sightings from Michigan on the same date. They seem similar to my experience, but the unusual part is the craft we saw just kind took off at such a high speed it almost seemed unbelievable. In fact, we all expected to hear a sonic boom when it left but it just remained completely silent. The direction and heading of the craft was in a NW direction. I was curious and pulled up Google Maps. I marked the direction I saw it move and then check the compass in maps. It was almost too coincidental but the trajectory is in line with Michigan and the water. I’m sure it could be a coincidence and my sighting is unrelated. Maybe not. I know what I saw and it seems like one too many coincidences. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
