I was having a coffee before work at my favorite spot to take daybreak and sunrise photos. When I could see daybreak was approaching, I aimed my camera phone towards the sunrise horizon and waited for the sun to illuminate the edge of the horizon. As soon as it did, I snapped a picture. When it got a little better glow, I aimed again but as I snapped the pic, I saw something else on the screen and when I looked out to the water, I saw it. No sound, it didn’t fly into place it was just there. The water below it was lighter and smooth …. it was gone seconds later. It didn’t fly away or blink away, it just vanished. I have no idea what it was. I just know it was there, it was silent, and it was solid. The only weird thing I remember was the birds weren’t singing like the normally did at daybreak but within minutes of it vanishing they started singing again.
