6 POLICE CARS CHASE AN ALIEN CRAFT IN MILAN MICHIGAN

Featured

MARCH 17, 1966…………MILAN MICHIGAN

UFO sightings often come in bunches, like the spate that tantalized southeast Michigan in 1966. After a few days of sighting reports by civilians, on March 17 two Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies, Sgt. Neil Schneider and Deputy David Fitzpatrick, said they saw three or four red, white and green circular objects oscillating and glowing near Milan about 4 a.m. They called Willow Run Airport officials but radar could not confirm the report. Two more Washtenaw deputies, Buford Bushroe and John Foster, chased the same types of objects three days later. Livingston and Monroe County residents also reported seeing the objects. The Detroit News carried the police chase story and a drawing of a quilted football-like UFO with lights, dome and antennae. When Dexter Patrolman Robert Huniwell saw the object at 9:30 p.m. at Quigly and Brand, Washtenaw County Sheriff Douglas Harvey ordered all available deputies to the scene. Six patrol cars, two men in each, and three detectives converged on the area. They chased the flying object along Island Lake Road without catching it. Farm owner Frank Mannor and his family said they came within 500 yards, “It wasn’t like the pictures of a flying saucer and it had a coral-like surface,” Mannor said. Carloads of students from nearby University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan converged on the area after hearing radio reports. The Air Force sent in “Project Blue Book” astronomer and UFO expert J. Allen Hynek, who drove around for two hours and 45 minutes. “Swamp gas” he concluded. “Marsh gas usually has no smell, but sounds like the small popping explosions similar to a gas burner igniting. The gas forms from decomposition of vegetation. It seems likely that as the present spring thaws came, the gases methane, hydrogen sulfide and phosphine, resulting from decomposition of organic materials, were released.” But William Van Horn, a local civil defense director and pilot who claimed he had seen the UFOs, was outraged by the report. A Hillsdale native, Van Horn said he grew up next to a swamp and knew more about swamp gas than Hynek. “A lot of good people are being ridiculed,” Van Horn concluded.  NOTE: The above image is CGI.

KENS NOTE: IN THE EARLY DAYS OF PROJECT BLUEBOOK, J.ALLEN HYNEK WAS THE CHIEF DEBUNKER UNTIL HE FINALLY REALIZED THAT THERE UFO’S WERE THE REAL THING.

ALIEN CRAFT ENCOUNTER IN LAKE ST CLAIR MICHIGAN

1998………LAKE ST CLAIR MICHIGAN

“I observed a UFO over Lake St. Clair in 1998. At time I was 17 and really had no interest in the subject. A buddy and me were out on an island north of Mitchell’s Bay. Our intention was to shoot flares into the lake as all our rural fun involved fire or blowing up tree stumps or something of that nature. It was summer break. We were out of high school. It was after midnight but I couldn’t really tell what time it was. There were no smartphones or anything back then. We saw an object over the water, I would guess, from our perception, maybe 150 feet high or something. It was hard to tell. At first the object was round with a slight girth in the center. It looked the way the dark side of the moon looks when the moon looks in a waxing crescent, you can tell there is something there but its like a haze and darkens out everything beyond it. We watched if for a few minutes where it really didn’t do anything. It was a moment where we both were just trying to figure out what the object was because it was just sitting there. After a few minutes it lit up extremely bright on one side and began to rotate. It was absolutely dark on one side but it was like the top of a lighthouse except much higher in the sky. It was so shockingly bright that when its focus was in our direction I would turn my head slightly to avoid it. It dimmed up a bit and got encompassed by a glow. It moved left and stopped, right and stopped and then returned to its position where it sat a moment and shot up at what seemed like impossible speed. At this point, being younger, I was like, ‘Whatever, I don’t know what it was, don’t care.’ So we went back to doing what we were doing, however about three or four minutes passed and three more objects, lights, came from land across the lake which we were able to identify as helicopters that seemed to be interested in the area. I don’t know what it was, I just remembered if it was nothing why would helicopters come? Doesn’t make sense. Someone knew it was there.” NOTE: The above image is CGI.

MASSIVE ALIEN CRAFT SIGHTINGS IN OTTAWA COUNTY MICHIGAN

MARCH 8, 1994 ………..OTTAWA COUNTY MICHIGAN

Green, red, white, and blue lights were reported performing strange maneuvers on the night of March 8, 1994.

Cindy Pravda of Grand Haven said in an interview saying that she noticed 4 bright lights just above tree line when she took a glance out to the backyard. These lights remained visible to Pravda for around 10 minutes before one of them moved slowly to the left. She said that the light looked like moving above the highway next to their house and then slowly travelled back in the formation.

The entire unusual sighting lasted for around 30 minutes, but Pravda was not sure if a much bigger object comprised those lights. In a television UFO Hunters shown in the History Channel in 2008, she recounted the event in an episode titled UFO Emergency.

On the same night, 911 operators were busy attending calls from eyewitnesses who were claiming to have observed something that seemed a string of Christmas lights in the sky.

The sighting was not only reported in Ottawa County, but it stretched as far as Lake Michigan. Many sources say that there were 300 witnesses, including several police officers.

Because of so many reports from Ottawa County, 911 operators called National Weather Service radar operator at Muskegon. The recorded conversation of the call by 911 to weather bureau revealed that the radar operator observed sudden movements of the object and several objects recorded on the radar screen.

The radar recorded a movement 20 miles in 10 seconds. The radar operator said that he had 3 things on the radar and they were in a triangular formation. The mysterious objects hovered above Holland and travelled southwest. He said that one travelled away in the formation but later moved back in.

Radar operator also said that he observed 3 and sometimes 4 blips and he was sure that they were not airplanes. It was noted that known aircraft would register as pinpoints on the scope, but the radar registered size of half a thumbnail. Based on the returns on the radar, the objects were estimated to be 5,000 to 12,000 feet moving in rapid motion towards Chicago.

Ottawa County held serious discussions about the UFOs, but to this day, the sightings were never sufficiently explained. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
