On the evening of July 14,1952, a Pan American World Airways DC-4 was on a routine flight, ferrying from New York to Miami with ten passengers and a crew of three, including, Captain F. V. Koepke, First Officer William B. Nash and Second Officer William H. Fortenberry. The sun had set an hour before though the coastline was still visible, and the night was clear and almost entirely dark. With the aircraft set on automatic pilot, while cruising at 8000 feet over the Chesapeake Bay approaching Norfolk, Virginia, they were due to over fly the VRF radio range station in six minutes and make a position report. In the mean time, since this was Fortenberry’s first run on this course, Nash, in the left pilot’s seat, was orientating Fortenberry by pointing out landmarks and the distant lights of the cities along the route. Nash had just pointed out the city of Newport News and Cumberland, ahead and to the right of the plane, when unexpectedly a red-orange brilliance appeared near the ground, beyond and slightly east of Newport News. The brilliance seemed to have appeared all of a sudden and both pilots witnessed the startling appearance at practically the same moment. In the excitement someone blurted out, “What the hell is that?” Captain Nash later described their initial observations… “Almost immediately we perceived that it consisted of six bright objects streaking toward us at tremendous speed, and obviously well below us. They had the fiery aspect of hot coals, but of much greater glow, perhaps twenty times more brilliant than any of the scattered ground lights over which they passed or the city lights to the right. Their shape was clearly outlined and evidently circular; the edges were well defined, not phosphorescent or fuzzy in the least and the red-orange color was uniform over the upper surface of each craft.” “Within the few seconds that it took the six objects to come half the distance from where we had first seen them, we could observe that they were holding a narrow echelon formation, a stepped-up line tilted slightly to our right with the leader at the lowest point, and each following craft slightly higher. At about the halfway point, the leader appeared to attempt a sudden slowing. We received this impression because the second and third wavered slightly and seemed almost to overrun the leader, so that for a brief moment during the remainder of their approach the positions of these three varied. It looked very much as if an element of “human” or “intelligence” error had been introduced, in so far as the following two did not react soon enough when the leader began to slow down and so almost overran him.” What occurred next utterly astonished the pilots. The procession shot forward like a stream of tracer bullets, out over the Chesapeake Bay to within a half-mile of the plane. Realizing that the line was going to pass under the nose of the plane and to the right of the copilot, Nash quickly unfastened his seat belt so that he could move to the window on that side. During this interval, Nash briefly lost sight of the objects, though Fortenberry kept them in view below the plane and both would later recollect.
“All together, they flipped on edge, the sides to the left going up and the glowing surface facing right. Though the bottom surfaces did not become clearly visible, we had the impression that they were unlighted. The exposed edges, also unlighted, appeared to be about 15 feet thick, and the top surface, at least, seemed flat. The shape and proportion, they were much like coins. While all were in the edgewise position, the last five slid over and past the leader so that the echelon was now tail-foremost, so to speak, the top or last craft now being nearest to our position.” This shift had taken only a brief second and was completed by the time Nash reached the window. Both pilots then observed the discs flip back from on-edge to the flat position and the entire line dart off to the West in a direction that formed a sharp angle with their initial course, holding the new formation. The pilots had noticed that the objects seemed to dim slightly just prior to the abrupt angular turn and had brightened considerably after making it. Attempting to describe the objects extreme actions, Nash proposed, “The only descriptive comparison we can offer is a ball ricocheting off a wall.” An instant later, two more identical objects darted out past the right wing, from behind and under the airplane at the same altitude as the others and quickly fell in behind the receding procession. They observed that these two seemed to glow considerably brighter than the others, as though applying power to catch up. As they stared after them dumbfounded, suddenly the lights of all of the objects blinked out, only to reappear a moment later, maintaining low altitude out across the blackness of the bay, until about 10 miles beyond Newport News when they began climbing in a graceful arc that carried them well above the plane’s altitude. Sweeping upward they randomly blinked out and finally vanished in the dark night sky. Describing the disappearance of the objects some years later, Nash wrote, “As they climbed, they oscillated up and down behind one another in a irregular fashion, as though they were extremely sensitive to control. In doing this, they went vertically past one another, bobbing up and down, (just as the front three went horizontally past one another, as the initial six approached us. This appeared to be an intelligence error, ‘lousing up the formation’)—they disappeared by blinking out in a mixed-up fashion, in no particular order.” NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

FBI DESTROYED THOUSANDS OF UFO REPORTS
The F.B.I. was so overwhelmed with sightings of flying saucers in the 1940s that agents routinely destroyed reports because of lack of filing space, according to documents released by the organization. The policy is outlined in a memo sent on 16 August 1949 to J Edgar Hoover, the director of the bureau, along with documents on UFOs compiled by agents after statements from witnesses. The note, sent by an unnamed FBI agent in San Antonio, Texas, states that the office destroyed UFO reports on the grounds that they arrived “in great numbers” and contained “nothing of FBI interest”. “It is pointed out that the filing of these would result in the rapid accumulation of very bulky files,” the memo continues. The documents are among a batch of papers related to UFO sightings that has been made available through The Vault, the FBI’s online records database. In one intriguing note, sent on 22 March 1950, special agent Guy Hottel, head of the FBI’s Washington field office, wrote to Hoover with information on three “so-called flying saucers” that a witness claimed had crash-landed in New Mexico. According to the memo, an air force investigator stated that three flying saucers had been recovered in the area, along with the bodies of the alien crews. The memo goes on to add: “Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.”According to the witness, the saucers were brought down by a “high-powered government radar” in the area that interfered with the spaceships’ controls. “No further evaluation was attempted,” the memo concludes. In 1947, an object that may have been a weather balloon crash-landed near Roswell, New Mexico, sparking an ongoing conspiracy that US officials captured an alien spacecraft. In a separate incident, Hoover received an urgent teletype message from FBI agents in Salt Lake City, Utah, describing what appeared to be an explosion in the sky that was followed by “the falling of a silver-coloured object.” The sighting, recorded on 5 April 1949 by a guard at the army general supply depot in Ogden, Utah, was reported independently by a military officer and also a highway patrolman, who claimed to see a silver object explode as it approached mountains at Sardine Canyon. An extraordinary UFO sighting was reported one night in March, 1958, during the Algerian War, at a Foreign Legion camp at Bouamama in the Sud Constantinois. The sole witness. Legionnaire N.G., was on sentry duty outside the camp. The site where he was consisted of a fortified emplacement dug out of the ground, lightly armored and equipped with a telephone connected to the camp. The night was cloudless and the moon was shining. All was silent on the desert landscape. No large-scale operations were being carried out in the area at the time so N.G., who had been in the Legion for three years, was not feeling especially anxious. He was sitting on the ground near the trench, and had his rifle. If anything unexpected happened he was supposed either to fire his rifle or call the camp by telephone. Suddenly, at a few minutes after 0.30 hours, something did happen. What it was that happened, we cannot say for sure. The witness remembers seeing a positive, physical phenomenon of enormous size. But he feels that something most unusual happened to him psychologically. And he freely admits that there might well be a difference between what he sincerely remembers and what actually took place. It began with a whistling noise, the sort of noise you hear if you blow into the neck of a bottle. This sound seemed to him to be coming down from the sky. He immediately looked up, and saw an enormous, roundish object descending. It stopped when it was about 35-40 meters (roughly 100 to 120 ft.) above the ground, and began to hover there, motionless and silent. He estimated it to be as much as 350 meters wide (1,000 ft.). As seen by him slightly from below, during the arrival and take-off phases, it seemed to be elliptical in shape, quite independently of the perspective effect that makes a disc look elliptical when observed from a point outside the disc’s center-line.
Its span might, he thought, have been in the neighborhood of 250 meters. He estimated the distance between himself and the nearest edge of the object at little more than 50 meters (150 ft.). When I asked Monsieur N.G. to extend his arms towards the ends of the object as he recalled seeing it, he held them out at an angle of about 100 between them. This estimate would fit quite well with the estimates given above of its size and its distance from him. The object was surrounded by pale green light, and an intense conical beam of emerald-green light was coming from the center of the under-part towards the ground. Legionnaire N.G. did not fire his rifle, nor did he pick up the telephone. He just remembers staring at the object for 45 to 50 minutes. The pale green and emerald colors were the most beautiful, relaxing and fascinating colors he had ever seen. Legionnaire N.G. had forgotten all about the war. All nervous or psychological tension had gone from his mind. He was just feeling happy. Then came the noise again, like somebody blowing into a bottle, and the object started rising gently, until it had reached a height of about I(K) or 120 meters. Then it flew offal tremendous speed towards the North-West, climbing as it went. What the Legionnaire then felt was a sort of sadness at the disappearance of this beautiful sight. After a few minutes this feeling began to fade, yielding place to a return of his ordinary state of consciousness, until his full mental faculties were back. He quickly picked up the telephone and reported what he had seen. To his great amazement however the officer at the camp simply replied in the manner: “Alright. We’ll see about it tomorrow morning.” Greatly disappointed at the officer’s reaction, N.G. continued his watch until he was relieved by another man in the early hours of the morning. He again reported his experience, and this time more attention was paid to him. Some of his superiors were inclined to believe his story, because N.G., then aged 28, was a well-respected soldier and was considered serious and reliable. The majority however thought it was just a case of psychological trouble caused by the tough conditions of war in the desert. A careful investigation was carried out at the scene of the sighting. N.G. recalls with a smile that the officers even examined the sand with a magnifying lens. No footprints, no marks, no alien material was found in the area, and no smell either. Probably more for medical than for “ufological” reasons, the witness was thoroughly questioned by officers. He stuck to his original story, and the affair was considered to be quite amazing. He was sent lo the Military Hospital at Val dc Grace in Paris. There he was kept for a week under dose scrutiny by neurologists and psychiatrists. An electroencephalogram revealed nothing unusual. The conclusion of all the doctors was that N.G. was in a slate of good physical and mental health. He had not been notably affected by the strains caused by wartime service in Algeria. He had no tendency towards drinking, and was considered to be competent for service in the Foreign Legion, which means an especially hard way of life. Indeed, no man with a tendency towards dreaming or science-fiction, or with an over-developed imagination or analytical, critical mind would he selected for service in the Legion. On Friday, February 5, 1971, two young men from Kinnula. Petter Aliranta (21) and Esko Juhani Sneck (18), were working in the woods of the village of Kangaskyla in Kinnula, near the borders of the counties of Middle Finland and Vaasa. At about 3.00 p.m. they were about to end their work, for the cloudy day was slowly turning dark. Aliranta had just turned off his motor saw, when he suddenly noticed a strange metallic-looking object at tree-top level which was descending straight down. It had the shape of two saucers on top of each other and was about 5 metres in diameter. At the bottom of the vehicle there were four thin (5-10 cms.) landing feet, more than 2 metres long. Within a few moments the object descended in a small opening between the trees, about 15 metres away from Aliranta and Sneck. The last-mentioned, however, did not notice what was going on at this time as he was still busy cutting branches off a tree with his motor saw. During the descent, a round opening appeared in the centre of the underpart of the UFO, and from this, immediately the vehicle had settled firmly on the ground, a strange little being glided down. It actually did glide down those two metres to the snow-covered ground; there was no normal falling movement. After this, the being started approaching Aliranta. Its movements were very stiff and the steps short. The being looked like a space-man, or robot, and was less than 1 metre tall, perhaps 90 cms. The body was covered with a one-piece suit of a green colour. The head had the same cover, and in the middle of it was a sort of lens facing forwards. The hands were round at the tips and no fingers could be seen. The “boots'” at the feet were a uniform part of the dress, and green as well. The humanoid seemed to move in a strange way on top of the snow surface; it did not go down into the deep snow as one would have expected. As this entity was slowly but steadily advancing towards Aliranta, he started his motor saw and began to approach the strange walker with motor saw in hand.
At this point, Esko Sneck also became aware of the strange happenings; the turning on of the motor saw had made him turn around to see what Aliranta was up to. “The little green man” and Aliranta were approaching each other, the distance between them now less than 10 metres. Suddenly the being turned around and started eventually to go back towards the saucer. This made Aliranta braver, and he hurried to catch the humanoid. Within the saucer, other entities were now visible; there were three “windows” on the topside of the vehicle (about 1 metre wide) and through one on the right side three moving forms were visible, humanlike, although no features or details could be seen. As Petter Aliranta was about to get hold of the humanoid, when about 3 metres from the saucer, it rose into the air in a strange way, floating towards the opening from which it had come. The humanoid having risen to more than 1 metre above the ground, Aliranta reached out quickly and grabbed hold of the heel of the right “boot” with his bare right hand. However, he had lo let go of the foot right away as it burned like a hot iron (the wounds caused by the burning on the thumb, forefinger and inside of the hand were still clearly visible two months later). At the same time, Aliranta automatically took a couple of steps backwards, so the entity was able lo glide back into the craft undisturbed. The moment the humanoid had got into the saucer, the latter started to give a slight humming or buzzing sound, and it slowly started to ascend from the ground. Aliranta felt a weak gust of air at this moment, but no smoke or smell could be detected, nor any light phenomenon (there were no lights visible on or in the vehicle during the incident). As the saucer rose upwards the round opening at the bottom closed (but the landing feet kept their position) and within some fifteen seconds the whole object had disappeared into the sky.
According to the eye-witnesses, the visit of this strange craft lasted at least three minutes. After the saucer had disappeared the men could not talk, for they were too amazed by the whole incident. They felt stiff all over and had some difficulty in moving, especially Petter Aliranta. It took them close on one hour before they were able to walk away from the woods. Before they left they had a closer look at the markings left in the snow, evidence of this incredible happening. At the end of each landing foot there had been a round plate. These plates had penetrated the full depth of the snow cover (then about 40 cms.), leaving four round prints (about 35 cms. across) in an even square with a side of about 2 metres. Within this square the snow had melted some 5-10 cms. on the surface. The footsteps left by the humanoid were also clearly visible. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

2015 INTERNATIONAL UFO CONGRESS WAS A SUCCESS
The 2015 International UFO Congress was the largest ever! The below video highlights some of the great speakers and events that made that happen. The Guinness Book of Records holder of the largest annual conference on UFOs and ET life in the world, The International UFO Congress, returned to Arizona on February 18, 2015. Hosted by Open Minds Production, Bob Lazar did the Q & A session. Lazar became famous when he put Area 51 on the map, claiming that he had worked there for reverse-engineering alien technology. Authors, researchers and television personalities spoke in panel presentations on topics about mass alien abductions, UFO secrets and UFO whistleblowers. The audience interacted with speakers and asked related questions. Co-organizer Maureen Elsberry said that the conference has been the ideal place where people can explore UFO and ET subjects in a serious light. She said that they are not asking the public to believe every speaker, but they’re asking you to keep an open mind. Ben Hansen, the lead investigator of SyFy’s paranormal show presented the free Night Vision skywatch and it was held on February 20.

I was coming home from Christmas shopping. Stopped at red lite. Saw bright lite in front. Thought was nightingale at accident. Turned left. Light came parallel. Took another left light hovered in front. Light was so bright had to put visor down. Told wife “wouldn’t it be cool if it was UFO?” Turned left again light followed turned right ,light followed. Turned into driveway. When got out of car expecting to hear helo rotors. Looked up as craft described above flew over. Looked at wife and said **** that thing is longer than our street. She said, doesn’t make a sound either. Then my daughter, who was about 7 or 8 said dad it doesn’t have any tail wings. It was a bright moon lit night. We could see the shape very well. It appeared to be a gunmetal grey. Had red lights front and rear of all 3 fuselages that stayed on steady. I guess the altitude to be about 1200 ft. It was traveling east at maybe 25 MPH. Told wife, let’s follow it. We all got back in car. As I was backing out of driveway, told wife, I’ll drive you tell me which way to go. As I backed out , had just put car in gear when wife said Never Mind it’s gone. I asked where did it go? She said I don’t know. When I blinked my eyes it was not there anymore. I did have a set of Christmas lights in a tree that were setup to look like a flying saucer that was spinning. Neighbors said it made them dizzy. Can’t win them all. That’s my story. I’m divorced now, but ex will still agree with what we saw. Daughter still remembers also. Remember telling wife (was working in Naval Shipyard at time) the center fuselage was larger then aircraft carrier that was working on. The center fuselage was about 1/3 larger and longer than the outer two. Center fuselage was approx. 75-100 ft. Dia. And close to 1/4 Mile long. Street I lived on was close to 1/4 mile long. That’s what I gauged it by. I remember telling wife, we could put every house on our street inside that center fuselage. I kept asking, how can something that big fly 25 mph and stay in the sky, much less making no sound at all. Norfolk airport landing pattern is just west of my house. We could hear a plane landing in the background. As far as feelings we were all left in aaw. Had no other witnesses. All were inside or in bed.

It is the world’s largest naval station, supporting 75 ships and 134 aircraft alongside 14 piers and 11 aircraft hangars, and houses the largest concentration of U.S. Navy forces.[3] Port Services controls more than 3,100 ships’ movements annually as they arrive and depart their berths. Air Operations conducts over 100,000 flight operations each year, an average of 275 flights per day or one every six minutes. Over 150,000 passengers and 264,000 tons of mail and cargo depart annually on Air Mobility Command (AMC) aircraft and other AMC-chartered flights from the airfield’s AMC Terminal.[4]

Dr. W (biochemist) and Dr. Y (bacteriologist), both employed by a private company, about 11:00 a.m. were driving to their office when Y saw something odd overhead that seemed to be moving against the wind. They entered the company parking lot and got out of the car to look. Directly over a building across the street was a small, metallic-looking disc, tilted at about a 20 degree angle and rotating around a vertical axis, wobbling “like the motion of a disc in a water meter. The distance was estimated to be about 50 ft, and the disc appeared to be 4-5 feet in diameter The wobble allowed them to judge the thickness as about 1.5 feet as the disc proceeded directly over their heads, continuing to rotate and wobble. No sound or exhaust emission of any sort was detected. It moved in an arc about 40-50 feet overhead very slowly, perhaps 8-10 m.p.h. When it neared some railroad yards, the disc curved around and made a fairly distinct turn, heading back toward them. At this point Dr. Y suddenly saw something else overhead, which Dr. W also then saw: a black object at high altitude hovering motionless under an overcast (later determined to be about 10,000 ft). It was round, and apparently much larger than the silvery disc, perhaps 100 ft in diameter. As they watched, two identical objects came into position as if they had dropped out of the cloud overcast, and the three objects jittered around like boats in a stream”. About this time the small disc had neared again, still moving slowly. Suddenly it stopped spinning, hung motionless for a moment, then rapidly climbed towards the NNE in the general direction of Mt. Hamilton. At the same time that the small disc began its climb, one of the three black objects left the formation and headed in the same general direction. The black object and the climbing disc seemed to be on a converging course, when suddenly both seemed to disappear into the overcast.
The remaining two black objects maintained their original position for another minute or so, then one of them headed off to the north and out of sight, while the other went directly up into the clouds and disappeared, terminating the incident at about 11:15 a.m. The two scientists immediately went into their offices and dictated accounts of the sighting for a permanent record. Dr. W felt obliged to make an official report and placed a call to Moffett Field. While waiting on the line for someone to be found to take his account, he had second thoughts about exposing himself to personal ridicule and hung up, so no report was made to the Air Force or other agencies. Special significance: In addition to the observation by scientifically trained witnesses, and loss of an official report due to the ridicule factor, the scientists’ reaction is instructive. They had found it “a most disturbing experience:’ They had been forced to the conclusion that they had seen some objects of such unusual propulsion characteristics that it was difficult to think of it as anything other than extraterrestrial. Came out to my Nannas & Papa’s for tea and they invited there friends over, which they live on a farm in the middle of Hardwicke Bay and Warroka, Yorke Peninsula, SA. I had just finished my tea and I made a phone call to one of my friends from school outside of the office. All of a sudden it was getting a little breezy and I said on the phone to my friend “It’s getting a little windy, I’m getting a little cold. Is it windy where you are? and cold?” then I looked up at the trees because I could hear the wind becoming more stronger. Then I looked at my phone again because it vibrated and then I heard like a swoshh… like a whirly wind was happening. I looked up and an object was hovering over the trees. It had yellow and orange lights around it shaped in a disc form, then a beam of a light blue and white came down – not all the way – just a little bit around 70-80cm from the under of the object off the ground, and it kept hovering. I said “I will call you back soon” then ended the call. I was screaming because I had no idea what it was going to do to me because I had no idea what it was. I didn’t know if something was gonna jump out or if the object was going to move towards me and make the beam of light which was located beneath the object shine upon me. I was thinking of the documentary that I saw on the TV not long ago which the object beam of light shined upon these people and they were no where to be seen. The light from underneath fainted and it moved slowly east and I ran inside and got all the adults and I said “Come quickly there is something in the sky that is moving away. It was directly in front of me while I was talking on the phone! Did you not hear me screaming? “Quickly” and they all came running out of the house to see it. When we got out there it was moving very slowly away from where I was standing. As we were watching it we were trying to decide what is was by the lights and shape and the movement. Then as I said “UFO” its lights all switched off. Now its no where to been seen. Now I feel so scared because I have no idea where it came from, how it got here, it just came out of no where! I have no idea what to do. I just don’t want it to come back! I definitely don’t want to be abducted!! Now I know we are not the only ones on this planet by the looks of it. JANUARY 5, 2000 ……. ST CLAIR COUNTY ILLINOIS
On Wednesday, January 05, 2000, the National UFO Reporting Center received two telephone messages (at 0316 and 0351 hrs. Pacific Standard Time) from Officer Thomas “Ed” Barton, employed by the Lebanon, IL, Police Department. The messages apprised our Center that a UFO sighting had occurred in St. Clair County, Illinois, and in surrounding areas, at approximately 0410 hrs. (Central) earlier that morning. Later the same morning, we were able to talk to Officer Barton, who reported to us the following: At approximately 0410 hrs. (Central) on that morning, he overheard an announcement by the St. Clair (IL) Emergency Dispatch operator that a citizen had entered the Highland, IL, police station, and requested that an officer go outside and view a very peculiar object that was hovering nearby in the sky. The citizen had witnessed the bizarre looking object on his way to work, and he apparently refused to leave the station until a police officer had viewed the object with him. Having heard the announcement about the incident over his radio, Officer Barton looked to the southeast from his location in Lebanon, and noticed two extremely bright white lights suspended in the sky, close to the horizon. The two lights were radiating so much light that the spectacle reminded Officer Barton of the Japanese “Rising Sun” symbol, used on the Japanese battle flag. A very short period of time later, the two large lights appeared to merge into one, and the illumination the object was radiating appeared to increase dramatically. Officer Barton began driving south and east in attempt to approach the object. He turned his overhead flashers on, and at times was driving at 75-80 m.p.h. toward the object, which was still generally to the southeast of his position. After a short period of time, Officer Barton realized that the object appeared to be traveling toward him. He stopped his vehicle, extinguished his overhead flashers, and rolled down the window on the passenger side of his vehicle. The object approached his location, and passed overhead at an estimated altitude of 1,000 to 1,500 feet, and within an estimated 100 feet lateral distance of his position on the ground. It was headed generally to the west, or northwest, at this time. The object was distinctly triangular in shape, with three white lights on the apices of the triangle, and it exhibited a “galaxy” of peculiar lights on its aft end, including white, hues of red or pink, and perhaps other colors, as well.
After passing overhead Officer Barton, the object suddenly turned to its left, without either banking or yawing apparently, it suddenly accelerated quite dramatically, and seemed to “streak” to the west, covering approximately 8 miles, the officer estimated, in approximately 3 seconds. (Note: Officer Barton, in multiple telephone conversations with our organization, and during at least one radio broadcast, has emphasized how almost unbelievably quickly the object accelerated and moved a considerable distance to the southwest in just a few seconds. Its velocity was almost unimaginable, he reports. This is one aspect of the case that strongly suggest to us that the object almost certainly was not of human manufacture.) He radioed St. Clair County Emergency Dispatch, apprising them that he had the object in sight, and advising them as to the direction it had moved, generally to the southwest. He recommended that dispatch contact units to the south and west of his position, e.g. Shiloh, Millstadt and Dupo, to have the officers there attempt to spot the object from their vantage points. Apparently at least one officer from Shiloh, IL, witnessed the object next, and two other officers, who have not come forward and who apparently do not wish to be identified, witnessed the object while they were standing in the cemetery of their town, as well. An officer from the Millstadt Police Department, Officer Craig Stevens, with whom NUFORC also spoke, overheard the broadcast, and moved his cruiser to a dark part of that town to see if he could spot the object in the night sky. He quickly spotted the object to the west of his location, at approximately 45 degrees above the horizontal plane, and gauged its size as “huge.” He estimated that it was “one or two stories” tall, and perhaps three stories long.” It had several very bright lights on it. St. Clair Dispatch requested that someone, if possible, attempt to get a photograph of the object. In response to that request, Officer Stevens removed polaroid-type camera stored in the trunk of his cruiser and quickly photographed the object. Because the outside temperature was low, approximately 18-20 degrees (F), neither the camera, nor the film functioned well, so the resolution of the photograph is not good. After Officer Stevens had taken the photograph, the object appeared to move further to the west, moving toward Dupo, IL, Cahokia, IL, and St. Louis, MO. A Dupo police officer may have witnessed the object at that time. In the final analysis, the police departments and communities involved in the incident include the following: Highland, Summerfield, Lebanon, Shiloh, Mascoutah, Millstadt, Dupo, and Cahokia, Illinois. The object was observed by officers from at least the following communities (in chronological sequence): Lebanon, Shiloh, Millstadt, Dupo, and Cahokia.
Notes and Addenda:
1 1. Scott Air Force Base: At one point during the sighting, we estimate, the object was within 2-3 statute miles of Scott Air Force Base. However, an official spokesman for that base reportedly made an official statement to the effect that A) their tower was closed for approximately one hour during the time of the sighting; B) their base radar had been turned off for unspecified reasons during the same hour; and 3) none of their personnel was aware of the sighting, and none had seen the object.
2 2. NUFORC has received several unconfirmed reports that shortly after the incident, several of the police departments involved in the sighting, and several of the actual eyewitnesses to the incident, received visits from two, or more, individuals, who are active employees from the federal government. They requested that the parties involved in the incident curtail all their statements to the press. We are unable to confirm these reports at the time this Summary Statement is being prepared.

Alleged intercept by military aircraft: NUFORC has an unconfirmed report from a highly reliable source that jet fighters from a nearby Air National Guard unit may have been “scrambled” to take a look at the object. The nearest ANG unit we are aware of is the Missouri Air National Guard, which flies F-15’s out of Lambert Field/St. Louis Airport. We have a second hand report that personnel at the airport witnessed a take-off of F-15’s at approximately 0420 hrs. that morning. We have a second report from an individual who remembers having been awakened at approximately the time of the sighting by the sound of military jets taking off from Lambert Field.
4 4. Other witnesses: NUFORC has received a report from a woman who was driving to work that morning and allegedly witnessed the object. We are awaiting her written report. Other witnessed have asserted that they may have seen the object earlier to the north, near Lake Michigan. We have received no written reports of such sightings. Canada’s most noteworthy and dramatic UFO report came out of Falcon Lake, Manitoba, on May 20, 1967. Around noon on that day, an amateur geologist named Stephen Michalak was chipping rock samples when he was startled by the appearance of two red, cigar-shaped craft descending to the earth close to him. While one merely hovered briefly, then shot upward into the cloud cover, the other settled to the ground. It slowed and made a sound what Michalak said sounded like an engine. As it cooled down, its color changed from red to gold. Michalak, who managed quickly to sketch what he was looking at, estimated the UFO to be 12 feet high and about 35 feet across at the base. His sketches included slots surrounding a dome-like projection at the top, and ventilation or exhaust grids along the sides. He also observed purplish light glowing through the side grates and a powerful odour of sulphur coming from the ship. Suddenly, a hatch opened at the side of the UFO, and Michalak was able to make out voices just inside the hatchway. He tried calling out, in several different languages, to no avail, there was no response. He approached the craft, and the hatch shut abruptly, as though the UFO discouraged any further attempts at communication. The geologist was wearing heavy, protective clothing, including gloves and goggles. Still, he could detect warmth radiating off the structure’s surface. When he reached out to touch it, his glove melted. Then, without warning, Michalak was blown off his feet by a blast of incredible heat from one of the UFO’s side vents. As the craft shot upward, Michalak was left lying on his back, stunned, with his clothing on fire. Michalak’s fantastic tale might have been dismissed as the product of an overactive imagination had he not been admitted to a hospital with severe radiation burns and many symptoms indicative of radiation poisoning. His stomach even showed a pattern of 30 circular burns exactly matching the grid pattern of the UFO’s side vents. Specialists who examined him advised him that any additional exposure to the radioactive source would have proved fatal. NOTE: The above image is a rendering.

I would carpool with my husband each workday for college. He would work in his office and I would grab a bit of sleep as it was still very early and before my classes started. It was 4 AM when I was putting down my seat as usual to take my nap. It was dark in the parking lot, I put my blanket over myself and closed my eyes and felt a presence. I can’t say if I heard anything but I just felt something there perhaps the figures cast a slight shadow. I turned onto my back to look out the window and suddenly I could not move or scream. I saw 2 figures that appeared like the grays I have heard of. They were a little taller than the car. They had a light gray and smooth flesh appearance. I could not move my head so I could not look at their bodies much but to see their heads. I was caught by their eyes. Very dark and deep looking and had the almond shape. The shape of their heads was elongated and larger than their bodies. An metal cold cylindrical instrument with a needle on the end of it, was coming through the window at me and it started entering my head. The area at the instrument at the window seemed almost like melted glass if I could find words for it. I wanted to move away from it but couldn’t move at all. It hurt like a searing, burning intense pain. I was thinking my thoughts to them, “stop, go away, don’t” but they didn’t communicate with me in any way that I remember. I was terrified! I just wanted them to stop what they were doing. It felt as if that tool that had a needle with a long handle had gone into my sinuses above my right ear. I couldn’t believe it seemed as though it was going through the metal and the glass of the car and into my head! How? I could not move at all but for my eyes and that seemed to be a bit limited? The tool retracted instantly and they were gone as quickly as they appeared. I could move again. I was out of that car so fast and into my husbands office so fast! I was now hysterically telling him what just happened and he thought that I had just had a nightmare but it was very real. I had not had time to go to sleep. I have had sinus issues and have since gone out on permanent disability. I had a sinus surgery and they told me that they found rat cells? I asked how that could be? The doctor changed the subject and never did answer me. I feel that it had to have come from that time in the parking lot. I have had pain in that same area of my head off and on since that attack. I get a searing pain that I can’t really even think when it happens. I call them attacks. I don’t know what they did but I don’t like them at all! They have caused me a lot of continued pain. On this particular evening I was driving home from work. Because of where I live, I always take Gulph Rd through Valley Forge Park to and from work. I was driving NW on Gulph Rd towards Phoenixville away from King of Prussia, when I noticed three very bright lights just over the tree line in the distance (I think I noticed them just about the time I passed the Washington Memorial Chapel). The lights were side by side. At first glance it looked to be an airplane of some sort. But as I drove closer I realized whatever it was, was too bright and too low to be a plane. I actually started to think that maybe they had built a tower in the park with lights at the top of it, but I knew that wasn’t logical because I would have seen this tower/monument by now. I also started to realize that whatever it was, wasn’t stationary. It was moving, but slowly. When I was finally back on a straight part of the road, I had decided that this was just too weird and started snapping pictures. As I got closer it was more apparent to me that this wasn’t a plane or a helicopter. I considered pulling over, but had someone behind me. It was also very dark and 17 degrees outside. But after my car had finally passed the lights (I couldn’t describe anything beyond that because of how bright the three lights were) I decided to look back at it out my driver side window. This is when I realized that it was literally just above the tree line and shaped like a Triangle. Once I was past the lights I could distinguish the shape vividly. After my experience I was a little shaken up.
I called my mom, who thought I was just pulling her leg. But after I sent her the pictures, she was convinced. She even went as far as to research sightings in Valley Forge. She came up with two interesting stories. One, was of George Washington, who had reported witnessing a UFO in the now park. And a few years ago someone else had reported a very similar story to mine, which made me feel less crazy. I have been living in the area for almost 5 years now, and I visit the park often. I know this park in and out. I know what the planes flying overhead look like. And I’ve seen my fair share of helicopters and drones. This to me was just so weird and unexplainable. It took me almost a week to even send in my story. I’m open-minded about unexplainable events, but I personally do not come to conclusions without thinking about it first. Even if this was totally explainable, it was still weird and definitely a story worth sharing.
KENS NOTE: Valley Forge Battle Field is one of the most haunted locations in the world. Strange lights, camp fires, objects in the sky and ghost soldiers are seen many times a year. It’s 1966, and 6-year-old Thomas Reed is in his bedroom on his family’s horse farm in the Berkshires when the encounters begin. Strange lights. Strange figures in the hallway. Suddenly, he’s in the woods near his home looking at a UFO. Then he and his younger brother, Matthew, are inside the craft. He’s shown a projection of a willow tree. The following year, there is another incident at their home on Boardman Street in Sheffield. More strange lights. The sound of doors slamming. Then the boys are back inside the vessel. The next thing Thomas knows, he’s in his driveway being scooped up by his mother, who has been searching frantically for the boys on horseback. Two years later, the family is driving on Route 7 when they see strange lights in the sky. Their car stalls, and then Thomas and his brother and mother and grandmother find themselves in a giant room. He is brought to meet two strange, ant-like figures, then placed in some sort of cage. Next thing, he’s back near the car. Reed has told these stories many times, and it has not always gone well. But recently, his tale had found recognition in an unlikely place. The Great Barrington Historical Society & Museum has formally inducted the UFO story.
What does that mean? “It means that we believe it is true,” said Debbie Oppermann, the director of the society. “I know we’re going to get a lot of backlash. We’re going to get hammered,” she said. “But we have given it an awful lot of thought, and, based on the evidence we’ve been given, we believe this is a significant and true event.” The historical society believes it is the first time a “mainstream” historical society or museum in the United States has declared a UFO encounter to be historical fact. But the decision was far from unanimous; of the nine members of the historical society’s board, three were “strongly opposed” to the decision, Oppermann said, but “it passed with consensus.” The Reed case already has its own display in the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell, N.M.; now, it’s about to get one in Great Barrington, about 2 miles from where the alleged encounters took place. That most interests the historical society is the 1969 encounter, because dozens of people in the area reported seeing an unidentified flying object around that time, typically described as a disk-shaped craft performing acrobatic maneuvers in the sky. Many of those eyewitnesses called the local radio station, WSBS, which covered the sightings. (The radio station has provided documentation to the historical society, which interviewed one of those eyewitnesses. They have also examined a polygraph test taken by Thomas Reed.)
Director Debbie Oppermann says the Great Barrington Historical Society believes the Reed family story of having been abducted by aliens in 1969 is true, in part because dozens of people reported seeing a UFO at that time.

Mysterious lights were seen over Jackhead Reservation in Manitoba, Canada last week. UFOlogists suspect a UFO crash into Lake Winnipeg as military forces allegedly spotted on snowmobiles pulling a massive disc out of the lake. But in response to reports about the UFO crash and recovery, Canadian Forces said it was merely a military training exercise. Seriously? On Wednesday night, February 18, reports started to make rounds on social media about the lights over Lake Winnipeg. According to the Facebook post by Brent Mancheese, there were reports about the UFO crash on the Jackhead reserve in Manitoba, Canada. Allegedly, vehicles of the Canadian Military were lined up on the north shore. Taking pictures in the scene was strictly prohibited, and the army even issued a threat to anybody who tried to do so. Lots of eyewitnesses were in the area. These witnesses apparently saw a round object being hauled across the lake and pulled out by snowmobiles and bombardier. Eight fishermen reported the incident, but Mancheese wonders why the authorities did not let the media know if it was a plane crash. In another report, bad thing happened to one witness with a camera. It said that a disc shaped craft was spotted diving into the frozen lake. At least one witness managed to get a photo of the craft. Unfortunately, that person has since been detained by the Canadian military.
According to Lt.-Col. Paul Davies, the Canadian army was taking part in Exercise Arctic Bison 2015, a program that trains military personnel to handle emergencies in harsh environments. Was UFO crash emergency included in the training? Davies said not so. Davies, the commanding officer of 38 Territorial Battalion Group, explained that there were no aliens or a UFO and just his friends in the Air Force helping them on this exercise. So, what about those UFO reports? Davies said that it was a craft with quick takeoff capabilities. He explained that it may have appeared like it was going straight up in the air from a distance, but in reality it wasn’t. Seeing an airplane taking off from a frozen lake is quite unusual. So, what about the crash reports? What about the large disc-shaped object? What about the evidence in the photograph? What about the eyewitnesses? What actually transpired at Lake Winnipeg last week?

The reasons I waited two years before coming out with my story is that I thought my sighting was a common one. After searching online and looking at many of the pictures I realized my sighting can be absolutely counted in the top five per cent for clarity and for the fact that certainly what I saw couldn’t be confused with anything I knew. Let’s start from the beginning: at the time I was living in the North of Watford near a hotel called Grove and where from the sixth to the ninth of June 2013 it was held the Bilderberg group meeting, a closed-door gathering where prime ministers and tycoons meet every year. I had never seen before such a high level of security and hundreds of police men gathered from all around England to patrol the area. I remember an helicopter day and night flying over the area, even weeks before. A metallic fence was built all around the hotel and an entire road was closed, forcing the people living there to go to work with the passport. When the gathering finished all the security shutdown completely in just few hours. It was one of two days after the end of the Bilderberg that I had my sighting. It was about ten o’clock in the evening, and the bedroom’s window, facing the other way of the hotel, was open. A light brighter than the stars captured my attention and I started looking more closely to try to figure out what it was. Then the light became brighter and brighter, moving toward me, until I clearly recognized a disc shaped object completely black with the light all around. I couldn’t explain how the object could still be so dark, when it was completely sorrounded by a light. It was like if the center of the object was not emitting any lights and that didn’t make any sense to me. But even before thinking this, my first thought was: then they really exist! And they are really like they have always been described! I tried to reach out my phone with the eyes fixed on the object. But I didn’t want to loose any seconds of a so important moment, and then when it started moving away on my right I realized it was too late for a shoot.
It drifted away slowly and it took more than 30 seconds to disappear. When it was closer, I didn’t hear any sounds coming from the object, but the details were so clear that if it had been an airplane I could have clearly seen the windows. However the shape was solid black and I could only recognize it because of the bright light around. It was like a disc with a sort of bump along the lower side and a dome on the top of it. Afterwards I thought it could have been a drone, considering that the Bilderberg was held the days before. I googled extensively about all the types of drones, but I couldn’t find any that could explain my sighting. I also couldn’t find any reports in the local news. However when I searched in Youtube words like “Bilderberg”, “Watford” and “ufo” I could find a video about drones. So it looked like drones were deployed over the area, but they were so different from what I saw that I simply ignored those videos. Now I often feel angry for the biggest error in my life: not having been able to take a picture of what I saw that day, and for not being able to talk about it without being considered crazy. I hope someone can give me some more information about similar sighting. I’m not interested in other types of ufos, lights, strange objects. I wanna only have some more context about that particular kind of disc shaped black objects. – MUFON CMS

The building is located about a mile west of the Indianapolis International Airport on Reeves Rd. At the time of the incident I was working with another security officer. Over the past year or so I and others have noticed many strange lights in the sky at night. Actually some of of these lights were distinctive V-shaped, but most were circular. On the night of February 1st (around 10:30 pm) there was an array of bright red lights traveling over the airport heading west over Plainfield. I tried to get photos but the light pollution from the airport and business park were too heavy. I counted 34 red lights traveling back to back and moving very slow but in a straight line. The other security officer witnessed the same lights. I reported what I saw to a friend in Cincinnati who in interested in UFOs. He said that he would file a report with a UFO group. This was the next day (February 2nd). He told me that he received a similar report from another witness in Indianapolis. On February 8th early Sunday morning (1:15 am or so) the security guard at the gate called me on his radio. He said that someone wanted to talk to me. This was very unusual because people rarely drive up to the gate that late and no one has ever asked for me. I was in the back lot so it took me a while to reach the front, even by vehicle. While making my way to the gatehouse, the security guard called me again. He sounded frantic and asked me to hurry. When I reached the gatehouse, there was a black Chevrolet Impala parked at the gate and two people standing by the gatehouse door. I parked my truck and walked over to the gatehouse. The first thing I noticed was how tall these individuals were and that they were dressed the same. They both wore black attire, which were slacks, heavy bomber jackets and leather gloves. They also had beret-like hats with sunglasses, even though it was dark. There was no insignia or lettering on the vehicle, though it had Ohio license plates. One of the men asked me if I had witnessed anything unusual in the sky above the airport. I mentioned what we had seen on February 1st and that there had been a lot of different lights seen the past year or so. He said he wasn’t interested in the other sightings, just what was seen over the airport. Then he wanted to know if I told anyone else. By that time I was a bit perturbed and asked who they were. They both smiled, then the guy apologized for taking up my time. They got back into their car and backed out. That kind of freaked me out because I have no idea who these guys were. I have heard some stories about Men in Black from my friend, but these guys looked normal, other than the weird garb. A few nights ago, I swear I saw the same vehicle in my neighborhood in Indianapolis. It was parked down the street from my house then pulled off as I passed it on my way to work. At this point I don’t know what to think. I’m not scared but curious as to what they think I witnessed. Incidentally, the other security guard who witnessed the lights did not receive a visit from these guys. My report must have sparked something, though I don’t think my friend used my name or specific location. I wonder if these were MIB and why they showed so much interest in my sighting. THREE FOREST WORKERS WITNESS ELK ALIEN ABDUCTION
FEBURARY 25, 1999 ……… FOREST OF WASHINGTON STATE
On Monday, March 01, 1999, the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) received a call over its telephone Hotline (206-722-3000) from an individual who identified himself as an employee in the forestry industry in Washington State. The individual left a message, in which he reported that a team of forestry workers allegedly had been witness to an incident on Thursday, February 25, 1999, during which time an elk was lifted off the ground and carried away by a very peculiar, disc-shaped object. Peter Davenport, Director of NUFORC, contacted several of the individuals whose names and telephone numbers had been provided by the first contact. Based on those telephone conversations, he elected to initiate a preliminary investigation of the incident. Because NUFORC traditionally does not serve as an investigative body, Mr. Davenport contacted Mr. Robert A. Fairfax, Director of Investigations for the Washington State Chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, which does conduct investigations of alleged UFO sightings. Messrs. Davenport and Fairfax traveled to the location of the alleged incident, and jointly have been conducting an investigation of this elk abduction case since Friday, March 05. Their investigation to date has included a trip to the site of the incident, an interview of three of the alleged fourteen witnesses to the actual abduction, and several conversations with individuals who work with the eyewitnesses. In addition, the investigators inspected the carcass of an adult elk, a pregnant cow, which was found dead beside a logging road on March 01 by other forestry employees within a few miles of the principal event. The investigation and collection of facts surrounding the case will continue. This preliminary summary of their findings to date is submitted jointly by Messrs. Davenport and Fairfax.
Incident Summary:
On Thursday, February 25, 1999, at just a few minutes before noon, three forestry workers, who were planting seedling trees in the mountains of Washington State, witnessed a small, disc-shaped object slowly drift over a nearby ridge to their south, and descend into the valley to the north of their position. The object descended silently with what seemed to the witnesses a purposeful manner, exhibiting a slight “wobble” to its flight. The three workers at first thought the object was some kind of parachute that was drifting and descending, but they quickly realized that their initial impression was not correct. Hence, they shouted to their eleven coworkers nearby, who were working on the north-facing hillside, and all fourteen members of the work crew watched the object for an estimated 3-5 minutes. Within seconds of their first observation of the object, the witnesses became aware that the object was travelling generally in the direction of a herd of elk that they had been watching all morning. They continued to watch as the object proceeded toward the herd until it succeeded in getting quite close to the animals. The animals apparently remained unaware of the object’s presence until it was within a very short distance of the herd. Suddenly, the animals bolted, most of the them running up the slope to their east. However, one adult animal was seen by the witnesses to separate itself from the herd and run or trot to generally to the north, perhaps along a logging road The witnesses report that at this point, the object quickly moved directly above the lone elk and seemed to lift it off the ground, although no visible means of support of the animal was evident to the observers.
The witnesses added that shortly after lifting the elk off the ground, the object seemed to begin to “wobble” to a more pronounced degree than it had exhibited earlier. In addition, as the object appeared to increase its altitude, the elk, which was suspended upright below the disc, rotated slowly beneath it and appeared to be getting closer to the ventral surface of the disc. They also commented that the object seemed to increase in size slightly after it had picked up the animal. With the elk suspended below it, the object began to ascend slowly up a clear-cut slope to the east. However, the witnesses watched it apparently brush the tops of nearby trees to the east, at which point it reversed its course and proceeded to the west. It executed a 360-degree turn to the left and may have gained some slight altitude in the process, the witnesses thought. After the object had completed its turn and was once again proceeding in a generally easterly direction, it began ascending very quickly at what seemed to the witnesses to be a rather steep angle.
It continued to ascend, and simply disappeared from sight of the witnesses. The witnesses stated that once the object had started to ascend and had climbed to an altitude above their vantage point, they no longer could see the animal suspended below the craft. Their presumption was that the animal had somehow been taken into the craft, although the witnesses could discern no “door,” or any kind of aperture through which the animal might have been conveyed into the craft. The witnesses also stated that following the incident, the herd of elk remained in the same general area, although remained more closely huddled to one another than had been the case earlier in the morning. Without doubt the most unusual, official UFO report I ever came across during my time spent digging through the files of the National Archive at Kew, England, surfaced in 1999. It concerns an incident that dated from 1966 and that originated with the British Royal Air Force’s Provost and Security Services – an arm of the RAF that until 1998 had its headquarters at a British RAF base named Rudloe Manor, and that was, for many years, the central hub for classified, official UFO investigations. In a painstakingly-detailed report, one Corporal R.A. Rickwood, of the P&SS Special Investigation Section, related to his superiors the facts. In fact, so profoundly weird and intriguing is the file, I have presented it below, without edit or interruption:“On 10th November 1966 a telephone message was received from Flight Lieutenant Williams, RAF Shawbury, reporting that a Mrs. Foulkes of [Address of the witness] Shrewsbury, had complained that his daughter had been frightened by an object in the sky whilst she had been driving along the A5 road near Great Ness at 2355 hours on 8th November 1966.“This object had emitted brilliant lights and radiation beams. On arriving home her daughter had been in a distressed condition and she had discovered marks on the car, which she considered were burn marks. “On 14th November 1966, Miss Diane Foulkes, aged 22 years, a typist employed in Shrewsbury was seen at her home in the presence of her parents. She stated that she had received a letter dated 11th November 1966 from RAF Shawbury signed by a Flight Lieutenant Penny informing her that no service aircraft had been flying in that area at the time of the incident. “She was now satisfied that the incident was in no way connected with the Royal Air Force or the Armed Forces. She then went on to relate her experiences connected with this enquiry.
There had been two similar incidents. The first occurred two years ago in November 1964, when she had been driving from Shrewsbury to her home along the A5 road. “This was at about 0200 hours as she neared the Montford Bridge over the River Severn. Approximately midway between Shrewsbury and Great Ness a brightly lit circular object appeared in the sky above her car. She had been frightened and had accelerated along the road. The object had kept pace with her remaining at the same height until she arrived home. “She had told her mother and father who also watched the object. She described the object as an especially bright light in the sky which remained stationary due west from their home for about half an hour. It had then rapidly diminished in size and they assumed it had accelerated away from them. No sound was heard from the object. The light was yellow in colour and became red as it diminished.
“The second incident occurred on the 8th November 1966 at 2355 hours and again whilst she was returning from Shrewsbury on the same road. The object had again appeared at Montford Bridge but this time it was much lower in the sky and on the north side of the road. On this occasion she could see rays of light shooting from the object which had again appeared to keep station with her car until she arrived home. At one time during the journey the object travelled near her and the rays seemed to come towards the right hand side of her car. “She felt a bump against that side as if they had struck it. At this moment she felt as if she had received an electric shock and had felt a severe pain in her neck. The left-hand side headlight of the car also went out. This made her extremely frightened. When she got home she felt very ill and had complained to her parents. “The object again remained stationary in the sky north of her home and had not been seen by her parents. They had noticed it for a short time before going inside her home. There had been no sign of the object on the following morning. Miss Foulkes’ parents confirmed seeing an object in the sky on both occasions as described by their daughter and agreed with her descriptions of these. “Miss Foulkes further stated that she believed that the objects could be associated with a Mr Griffin who lived in the area and who is reputed to have made contact with these objects and actually entered one and met one of the occupants. He is also alleged to make his contacts with them at Montford Bridge. “The local civil police had no information or reports of sightings of objects in the sky. There is no evidence to associate the incidents complained of with the Royal Air Force and the complainant Miss Foulkes is now satisfied that the incidents are unexplainable and are in no way connected with the Armed Forces.” In essence, that is the file.
It is clear from examining its contents that the witness had reported some stunning experiences: “the rays of shooting light” that enveloped her car; the electric shock-like pain that surged through her neck as the vehicle was bathed in the beam of light; the loss of power from the car’s headlights (something that is reported time and again in UFO encounters); and the potentially-worrying fact that the experience had left the witness “very ill.” Perhaps the most significant factor, however, was the reference of the Provost and Security Services to a man in the near vicinity that had reputedly “made contact with these objects and actually entered one and met the occupants.” Prior to the 1970s, very little exposure was given to so-called alien abduction incidents; however, many of the factors present in the P&SS report lead me to believe that something very strange indeed had taken place in the Great Ness area of Shrewsbury in 1966, and that that “something” was very possibly connected with abduction-like encounters. Oddly, despite the fact that the official file on this case was declassified way back in 1999 – and the document at issue has been examined by a handful of UFO researchers since then – it seems that little or no attempt has been made to resolve the case. Perhaps now, with its contents highlighted here at Mysterious Universe, someone will take a fresh look at the case and attempt to resolve the question of what really happened nearly half a century ago on that long gone night at Montford Bridge.
