I was in the house watching the WSU – Utah football game when I heard helicopters over the house. We are familiar with life flight copter blade sounds and this was much louder and shook the windows. I went outside and many of the neighbors were outside looking up. I immediately saw 2 chinook helicopters over head, black and no navigational lights. There was also an Osprey tilt rotor helicopter hoovering about 700ft away. That’s when I saw the triangle object. It was less than a football field away horizontally and maybe about 300 ft high. Low enough to be illuminated by house and street lights. This triangle craft was hovering silently still for about 10 minutes. It was a crystal clear night with the stars easily seen.
There was also a 767 flying patterns over head a fairly low altitude, again no navigational lights. Slowly the triangle moved south at less than 5 mph. The helicopters and Osprey all moved with the object at the same pace eventually moving out of sight. I went back inside and after about 30 minutes I could again hear the helicopters return to the East of us about 3 blocks away. that’s when 2 unmarked, no lights C 130’s flew really low over the town at a high rate of speed with the 767 Circling overhead. Later in the evening the Chinook helicopters again flew over our house about 300 ft up at a slow pace, we could not see the triangle craft but when we looked directly up the starts were blacked out completely, the triangle craft was directly over us, but it was like it was adsorbing all light and no share was detectable. But as the craft moved, slowly, the stars became visible as the back edge of the craft mover north. I took a video and all you could see is black with the stars becoming visible. Again, the Chinook was tailing the craft at a very slow pace almost like walking pace. The neighbors were all outside watching and the neighbor girl was so afraid she grabbed my hand in fear. Description (In Witness’s Own Words): When I was 16 (almost 17), in about February, My boyfriend at the time was driving me home at about 11 pm. We were traveling East on HWY 126 between the town of Veneta and the city of Eugene, driving along Fern Ridge Reservoir. I first saw a red light off in the distance on the other side of the reservoir (northeast in front of us). It kept stopping and a red light would go down to the ground and then back up. Then it would move a bit more, light would go up and down, then repeat this pattern for about 1/2 mile of so. The airport is over there (Mahlon Sweet Field), so I thought it was a helicopter and told my boyfriend that I thought they might be searching for something over there. He thought it looked very strange and said he didn’t think it was a helicopter. We then past through some tall trees on both sides of the road as we were approaching the reservoir on the right side of the road, and our vision was blocked for a couple of minutes. When we came out of the clump of trees the UFO was on the left-side of the road (passenger side – South side of car), hovering over the marshy land across from the reservoir. My boyfriend started pulling over, and asked me to see if his mom’s camera was in the glove compartment. I, at this point, still thought it was a helicopter. Not having my glasses on and obeying my boyfriend’s orders, I hadn’t gotten a good look at it yet.
Then we stopped and I rolled down the window (didn’t find a camera). I realized as I looked at it, that it made no sound at all! People were pulling off the road on both sides and were getting out of their cars. I realized the UFO was a triangle, black, and had three VERY bright lights on the bottom of it. (One light was on each corner.) There was a dome shaped bump in the middle (on the bottom) with a darker hole in the middle. Around each light was very shiny silver-looking metal with slices in it, spinning very fast. The tall grass (about 4′ or so), was wipping around wildly under the craft. I also could see what looked like large pop-rivets and stuff all over the craft, like pieces of things that looked like mechanical parts. At this time I totally freaked out and started screaming for my boyfriend to leave. I was hysterical. We left and didn’t see it leave. Needless to say, I immediately woke my mom up when I got home and told her about it. She called home from work the next day and told me that she heard about it on the radio very early in the morning on the way to work. We never heard anything else about it. Report Made to the National UFO Reporting Center on July 9, 2002 Regarding the February-March, 1984 Sighting: : A large trianglar craft was hovering silently about 30 feet in the air, along side the road. The craft was about 50 feet from the road. The craft was about 40 feet across. It had flat sides that were about 4 feet thick and looked to be made of metal, a dark none-metalic looking in color, with a lot of tubes and stuff all over it. There were three bright white lights, one on each corner, with a bright silver metalic colored ring around each light that was spinning. The rings had slits in them. There was a small red light in the middle that floated down to the ground and back up. There was a strong blowing wind or breeze, but no sound at all. Other people were pulling off the side of the road to watch it. We left as soon as we discovered that it wasn’t anything we’d ever seen before. I was only 17 years old, and my boyfriend at the time was 20. Tt scared as to death. The next day it was on the local radio.
Investigator’s Notes: The witness vividly recalls a close and terrifying encounter with a triangular shaped craft. Apparently several other people saw the craft and the sighting was in local news reports. Given that this sighting occurred several years ago it is difficult to do any investigation. This is one of the earliest triangular shaped craft sightings that I have heard of. Most sightings of this nature began occurring in the late 1980s around the time of the “Belgium Wave of Sightings.”
(Salem, Oregon) – Our UFO sighting was in 1988, but it was years before we told anybody. Amongst ourselves it was rarely mentioned, as if we didn’t want to believe it. Being practical Oregonians, our minds reeled at the possibilities that were unleashed by the occurrence.
Suddenly we had become players in one of the stories that we could only read about before. I know now what others must have gone through when they saw a UFO at close range, the incredulity that other people expressed when we told them. It became a life-changing experience. The universe seems a different place now, less a barren vacuum of space.
Our sighting wasn’t necessarily extraterrestrial, but it was an extremely advanced technology. What that really means is open to conjecture. Most radical departures from conventional wisdom have had to overcome the inertia of the scientific community.
One day we will reach out for the stars, but it is folly to think we will be the first to have done so. I have formed this opinion only since that night in 1988. I was formerly a person who looked at the sky expecting only the usual clutter of planes, stars, and the occasional blinking satellite.
Our encounter was on a crisp fall night like any other, with errands to be completed. The sky was clear and full of stars. My wife and I were returning from the grocery store, driving northward along Fischer Road in Salem, Oregon. It is a residential thoroughfare that parallels Interstate 5. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something hovering over the freeway. The unnatural stillness and lack of visible support for the object had caught my eye.
At first I thought it was a traffic helicopter, which by itself would have been unusual in this area. As I looked closer at the object, the uniqueness of it compelled me to pull the car over to the side of the road and stop. I got out and listened hard for the sound of rotor noise, but there was none.
The fact that it was only about 200 feet away made this highly unusual. The craft had lights about its perimeter, but the exact outline of the body was strangely indistinct, like it had a low profile when viewed from the side.
In an attempt to explain the phenomenon, I initially dismissed it as one of those Harrier jets that can vent the exhaust downward for landing. However, the quietness of the craft and the fact it was over the freeway made this impossible. As human beings symbolic logic is our forte.
It is one of the things that distinguish us from lower primates and other animals. But there was nothing in my experience with which I could represent the UFO in my mind, so I came up with the best that I could, a rather poor representation of what I was actually seeing.
Later this would become more pronounced, a bothersome feeling of something totally alien in my familiar world. My wife was also observing the strange craft. Exchanging glances with her, I got back in the car and we drove on to Silverton Road, turning left and passing under the freeway and several blocks westward to our apartment.
As we turned into the parking lot, we both viewed a sight that is still fixed in my mind like a photograph. There was the hovering craft directly over the parking lot. It had followed us over from the freeway. I had to drive toward it as I pulled into our parking spot. We watched in amazement for a few moments and then decided to get out.
There were no bright lights shining downward, and nobody else was outside at the apartment complex at this hour to view it besides my wife and I.
There was just it and the two of us, as if we had been selected out of a nighttime crowd that was too busy to look upward. One of my impressions at the time was how unusually easy it was for something so remarkable to be otherwise unobserved in the dark sky.
It appeared that the UFO inhabitants had seen us watching them, and they were now looking at us out of curiosity or to see if we represented some kind of threat. At this point the craft was about 70 feet overhead.
I could see clearly it was perhaps 30 feet across, with a triangular shape that was outlined with small round lights. There was no significant sound coming from it, only a faint humming that was barely noticeable.
The way it hovered absolutely motionless made it all the more fantastic. The craft quietly defied all rational attempts to explain it. It was real, a dark gray triangle floating in a sea of stars. We stared at it for what seemed like thirty seconds. By now tension had built to an alarming degree, so we hastened inside our apartment and walked directly across to the patio door to look out.
The craft was slowly moving southward, building speed with deliberate precision. Its ponderous mass floated like it was a feather, disappearing in the night sky. Since we had said little during the event, I asked what my wife had seen as verification. She mirrored my observations. Looking at the clock, we were relieved to see no time was missing.
I feel privileged to have viewed such an amazing phenomenon. We shall never forget it.
Was it a secret military prototype, the implementation of Nikola Tesla’s later theories of gravity repulsion, spawned from his confiscated notes? Perhaps. But at this late date nothing resembling it has surfaced in the news. Or was it something from beyond our solar system, cloaked in darkness and the ignorance of our more primitive world? I was on a ridge off of the industrial parkway in Greenup, with a friend, when we noticed a noise that sounded similar to clapping and laughing. Right after that, within seconds, 3 similar shaped objects suddenly appear over a field a few hundred feet away. They all glowed an off green color but it dissipated kinda like heat would. We could not come to a logical explanation of what it was. One object landed and two other hovered. One of the objects just vanished in no direction just disappeared and shortly after the second did the same. When they disappeared it sounded like thunder or a bang. We watched the other object on the ground. We tried taking a picture but the phone went straight to static and as soon as I unlocked my phone, the object took off directly straight up and it also sounded like a bang. We left immediately towards I-64 and by the time we came to the Grayson exit we had to pull over and have had severe nausea and a fever since then. Superstition Hill UFO Sighting. Summer 1997. I went camping off of Old Kane Springs Road, Borrego Springs, California, just south of Highway 78, and north of El Centro in the Anza Borrego Desert BLM lands. Arriving just before sundown to meet up with a friend who had arrived earlier in the day. My friend carried on and on about unmarked gun metal blue jets flying very low passes at very high speed over the area since early afternoon. I did notice jets flying upon arrival but it wasn’t surprising since I knew the Navy’s proving grounds (mysteriously called Superstition Hills) was just a mile or so southeast of our campsite. You could see the chalky white hills slightly poking up from the desert floor with commercial air traffic from El Centro Airport in the background. After setting up my tent and popping a beer we enjoyed talking and watching the full moon rise from the southwest as El Centro’s plane traffic was visible to the southeast. Within 15 minutes of sundown, out of the blue, two gun metal blue F18s whizzed over us at extremely high speed and extremely low–lower than I’ve ever seen. And they came around again, criss-crossing each other in the skies at least three more times. My friend went bonkers, proclaiming he wasn’t a liar and I couldn’t argue with him. This was amazing and I ran to get my binoculars. With binoculars readily in hand I chased them around the sky as my friend frantically searched for his pair. At one point, the two jets lined up together side-by-side very low bearing southwest towards the direction of Table Mountain easily zooming directly overhead at over 400 mph. On approach, they split up and disappeared over the first set foothills. My friend was still searching for his specs as I watched, totally stunned, as a large glowing presence rising from them where the planes disappeared. I had no idea what I was witnessing as the entire side of Table Mountain lit up and then I freaked – small red orbs started to manifest belowthe whitish glow. As the glow grew brighter these red orbs crested the mountain in formation of a huge clock. The lights continued to rise together in a fixed circular formation until an entire ‘clock’ formation was visible. In the middle of the clock of red lights, a nebulous blob glowed brightly when all of a sudden, two smaller red lights at 4 and 7 split away and flew off in opposite directions at enormous speed, disappearing over and around Table Mountain. I surmised they were the jets I had just seen, but it was hard to tell. The shimmering red orb clock formation then rose up over the crest entirely in view and disappeared over another ridge and the lights dimmed into darkness. The hillsides went back to normal moon lit desert and I was screaming aloud that this was the wildest thing I have ever witnessed. But then it got wilder.

The strange giant ‘clock lights’ had appeared and then disappeared into the mountain landscape in less than a minute – all occurring as my friend finally found his binoculars in a futile attempt to zero on the subject of my pointers. All he could make out was the glowing mountains, but I excitedly recounted in detail what I had just seen. We relayed the experience to one another for perhaps 10 or 15 minutes as we scoured the sky and landscape with our binoculars. We got tired of looking with the binoculars and grabbed another beer to begin settling into camping, when very casually my friend suddenly pointed about in 70 degree ups towards the southerly sky and said, “what the *** is that?” I looked to where he was pointing but I couldn’t see anything. I was looking past it! The moon was full and bright and not a cloud in the sky, a billion stars, and right there about 1000 feet off the ground was an “invisible” moving object. It was very nebulous with no hard visible edges. Within or perhaps attached to it were a random arrangement of lights in varying brightness – virtually indistinguishable from stars in the sky. It was insane we could not make out the actual shape. This nebulous blob of sparkly lights appeared to about 2000 feet off the ground and about 2000 feet away – perhaps the size of a smallish blimp. It was also totally silent. We grabbed our binoculars, if you looked directly at it, it essentially disappeared into the background. You could really only see it if you looked to the side or below or above it, reminding me of how we were told to view Andromeda by looking to the side of it, allowing our peripheral vision to ascertain the galaxy. This was! clearly some form of cloaking technology, but the shape of the cloaked craft was indiscernible.Moving extremely slowly from the northwest to the southeast, at various points it would just stop in the air, hovering silent, and discharge what appeared to be a bunch of flashbulbs going off in random order as if it was trying to blend into the sea of stars behind a full moon night sky. We continued watching this “cloaked” air machine for at least 15 minutes. It moved ever so slowly stopping at least three more times to “impersonate the night sky” light show as it moved over Superstition Hills and stopped again. We noticed at this point there were no more jets; in fact, El Centro’s plane traffic had completely stopped with only this smallish nebulous sparkly cloud in the southeastern sky. We wondered aloud if the Navy had told the airport to hold off takeoffs and landings. We were actually getting bored of watching it through our binoculars when all of a sudden it took off like a streak of light towards the southeast edge of El Centro. It had to have moved at several hundred miles an hour – or faster – from a dead stop and then made a dead stop right at the edge of Highway 78 about a mile southeast of us. All this time is moved so slow, it was stunning how it suddenly moved and stopped so fast. While we stood there trying to process what this hovering nebulous sparkly blob thing was, it made another light show and suddenly in a blink of an eye it streaked away disappearing into the horizon towards the Yuma proving grounds. We couldn’t make any sense of it but I’ll never forget it. A minute or two later the El Centro air traffic started up again. I was a skeptic of UFO stories until this happened. Was this aliens? I don’t know but if it was, given the earlier presence of the F18s and their accompanying the ‘mother ship’ as it lifted over the mountains, the U.S. Navy is definitely in cahoots with them. Green lights in Chevron form flying over Fort Collins, CO. I was letting my roommate’s dog outside, when I saw a group of fluorescent green lights in the form of a chevron. This was observed a few minutes after 23:30 MST approximately 4 blocks south of CSU Fort Collins campus. The event lasted for 5 to 10 seconds. It was a clear night with no clouds, stars were visible. I was the only witness who saw this. I am a senior at Colorado State studying Civil Engineering and have a good understanding of physics, optics, and trigonometry. There were 5 to 7 lights in the formation, and were first seen 20 to 30 degrees above the horizon. I was looking south when I first sighted them, and watched them move north almost directly overhead; they were 20 degrees from vertical to the east of me. As the chevron passed over head, it started accelerating and gaining altitude, before the lights disappeared 40 to 50 degrees above the horizon looking north. The lights were observed for a total of 100 to 120 degrees in the sky. As the lights passed from south to north, they changed shape from a chevron into a straight line. I live on a N-S-E-W street grid, and I can determine that the lights were traveling within 10 degrees of the N-S axis. From the observation point, the lights appeared relatively small, but much larger than a star. The individual lights were round, with a hazy edge and appeared to be about 1/6 the size of the moon. The chevron formation had a span of 3 moons, and stayed approximately this size for the entire duration, as they changed shape. As the object passed overhead, it made no sounds. Sightings of green fireballs were reported in the vicinity of the Atomic Energy Installation at Los Alamos, New Mexico, on the 5th – 8th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 20th, and 25th. Witnesses included various scientists, Special Agents of the Office of Special Investigations (USAF), airline pilots, Los Alamos Security Inspectors, military personnel of all ranks, and many others with technical backgrounds, which the Pentagon representatives characterized as “observers whose reliabilities are not questioned.” The matter was considered top secret by the Army and the Air Force. The fireballs were large, often described as big as the full moon, only brighter, and Kelly green in color. They traveled at terrific speeds at low altitudes. Dr. Lincoln La Paz, director of the Institute of Meteoretics at University of New Mexico, strongly opposed the theory that the green balls were meteors. NOTE: The above image is CGI.
Shortly after 11 PM on the 20th, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ballard were driving near Vermillion, South Dakota when they observed a “very, very large” object resembling “a big ball of red and orange fire.” As they got closer to the UFO it appeared to be flickering in a field. “It was a solid form and it spun at a very high rate of speed,” Ballard said. He said it was “20 feet above the ground at times and very close to the ground at other times.” Then the object began following Ballard’s car. Ballard increased speed to approximately 100 MPH, but the object kept following. The road was bathed in light. The car’s speed hit 110 MPH. Then Mrs. Ballard sawthe sphere coming straight at them. “I was very frightened,” Ballard said. “I actually thought the craft was going to pick us up. It kept diving at my car, as though it was trying to grab us.” Then the UFO ascended and disappeared toward the east. Shortly after noon on the 7th, the Kentucky State Police reported to the Fort Knox mili-tary police that they had sighted an unusu-al aircraft or object speeding through the air. The object was circular in appearance, approximately 200 to 300 feet in diameter, and moving westward. The Provo Marshal at Fort Knox called the commanding officer at Godman Field, Fort Knox’s airstrip. At about 11 AM the tower controller had spotted the object south of Godman Field. About 2:30 P.M. an F-51 flying in the area and piloted by a Captain Mantell, was ordered to check on the strange object. At 2:45 PM Mantell called the tower with this message: “Mantell to tower, I see it, above and ahead of me. I’m still climbing.” A few moments later one of Mantell’s wingmen was heard to say: “What the hell are we looking for.” After a moment Captain Man-tell made this reply: “Mantell to tower, the object is directly ahead of me and above me and moving half my speed … It appears to be a metallic object of tremendous size.” The object is now in visual view of everyone in Godman tower. Then Mantell radioed his final message: “Mantell to tower, I’m trying to close in for a better look. I’ll go to 20,000 feet.” Shortly thereafter Mantell’s wingman reported that Mantell had disappeared. It wasn’t until 7 PM that it was discovered that Mantell had crashed.The best observation of the object was made by Lt. Col. E. Garrison Wood, Deputy Base Commander and Operations Of-ficer. Col. Wood said the UFO was seen in “exactly the same spot the whole time” until 7:30 PM. He tracked it by theodolite, a telescope-like instrument used to measure horizontal and vertical angles. Because it did not move for the approximate eight hours of observation, Wood was convinced that it was not a planet, balloon or aircraft. NOTE: The above image is CGI
A Colorado witness at Longmont reported watching a silent, boomerang-shaped UFO moving 200 feet above neighboring homes, according to testimony in Case 79692. The witness and her husband were outside in a hot tub about 8:30 p.m. on October 7, 2016, when the object was first seen. “I caught it full view as it was heading west, but was banking sharply such that the right edge was at the bottom. I could clearly see pale rose colored lights along the boomerang-shaped edges only. The nose was curved and not pointed. The lights were not brilliant, but subdued and did not waver or flicker, but rather stayed constant. The lights ran along the edge of the boomerang pointing down. From the edge of the lights, the back spread out to make what appeared to be a solid area. There was a back edge that was slightly curved outward from the back keeping it from being a triangle shape. This back area seemed slightly reflective making it look solid, but not sharply visible and as if it were reflecting the stars and lights above it. NOTE: The above image is the witness drawing.
An Oregon witness at Eugene reported watching a triangle-shaped UFO with three orange lights that eventually cloaked itself and disappeared, according to testimony in Case 79421. The witness – who is a military veteran and amateur astrono-mer – stepped outside at 8:15 p.m. on September 25, 2016 and noticed a triangle-shaped object over the city. “As I looked closer, I saw the bottom most of the lights moving, and then I thought to myself – that makes sense. It is commercial aviation. So I looked back at the other two lights and saw they were moving together too and that it was one triangle-shaped craft rotating on its center axis. All the while I noticed the bright orange lights were shining through what looked like heat shimmer coming off the desert floor. Very much like a scene from the movie ‘Predator’ where the ‘cloaking’ around it wavered for just a brief second, and when it did, I saw a large triangle-shaped craft with smooth sides and a smooth metallic bottom with a smaller, circular abut– ment in the center with a light bluish glow.”
